Dona Sylvia Beach Resort Reviews

This time this property if Novatel really surpassed my expectations. What an amazing property and the most amazing thing is Beach which is better than any European Beach, I will grade this beach better than any European Beach.
Staff are very courteous and supportive.

The hotel is nice, just beside the sea beach. Calm and green. It was a wonderful stay. However, the food was not highly appreciating, but okay.

Enjoyable top class beach resort in South Goa ( Cavelossim Beach) with lovely cottage type rooms and excellent food and service!

Amazing resort.... Service in the night can be better and doors of the room also as it was really difficult for people to see their room with a door problem as well as the rooms have smell of woods in rainy season that was the major problem but otherwise it was good to enjoy there with pool facility breakfast good food.

Excellent staff and property. The back exit of the resort opens directly on the beach. Feels like a private beach with very few people even at peak hours.

Place have a good charm but feel very crowded at times

It's decent 3 star resort. They say it's 5 star but services are of 3 star resort. It dint feel a 5 star resort. It has beech access to the resort which is the best thing about this place. If u get a deal for 3000 per night then its worth it.

Oh! Perfect place for the weekend gateway with your loved ones. The rooms.. The breakfast spread and the food... Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here!!

Dona Sylvia was my first choice while select a face for a family holiday this summer. The reason to select this property was a prior experience during our official trip in 2013.

This year, while planned for a family holiday I was very sure that we are going to a special prosperity.

The happiness didn't last long. When I checked in with my family I was stuck with a confusion at the reception which was man'd by 2 people. I was happy to get keys and happily heading to rooms while my family was sitting at the open restaurant.

My dissonance starts when I say the rooms which need major update:- basic washroom, louse bed to name few.

I am still surprised why they don't have Air-conditioned restaurant along with the open one. The understanding says, people do visit during off season so they should have the provision for the same.
Don't be afraid if you find cats and dogs moving around you in search of food !

In the end I would sincerely like to convert it to the management of the resort to please take care of the please and make sure you update the basics. For example :- redo all the room, room needs to have fragrance, bathroom need to have "JETTY" & little modern look and feel.The staff also need a regular training.

Good experience and lovely place for a off time and vacation

It was good, but there was a problem with indor decoration. To be clear there was a decoration pot near every corner which accidentally hit legs .so, I think the pot should be kept in an higher position so that people can see and avoid accidents....

The setting is good but rooms were disappointing as they weren't clean. Service is good and it's goa you're going to get that everywhere in goa. If the rooms were cleaner then it would have been 4 stars.

There is a problem with the hotel food
The food is almost entirely Indian flavor.
It is very useful to diversify and serve food also a European flavor f or American!
The food is mostly delicious but not everyone likes Indian flavors !!!

Experience of stay is very good,
Staff is very good they treat you like family guests. Food is also very good. I think it is best beach side resort of Goa.

We stayed in this property for one day and to be very honest rooms were in shabby condition (spider roaming freely in room) in spite of upgrading our room to premium category (picture attached). No Covid protocols being followed at hotel e.g. no temperature screening, sanitization of bags etc. In spite of confirming to the hotel well in advance about our check-in time they provided the rooms after a waiting of good two hours. Breakfast was below average and room service is pathetic as they need minimum 2 hours to attend your issues. Overall quite disappointed with the stay in Novotel Donna Sylvia.

Has a beautiful access to the beach saw Valentine Day sunset

Went for Sunday brunch which lasts from 11am to 5 pm. Spread was elaborate and well served. Very beautiful pool side restaurant with live music. Service was excellent and so was the tasty food .

This was my sixth stay at Dona Sylvia. First three during my human labs exploration with ISABS.

Last three stays were with my family. My son who was very young when he visited for the first time thought Dona Sylvia was Goa. Next time, when we spent couple of days at a Panjim Hotel, he refused to accept that we were in Goa.

He startedb playing with the waves here, the beach is closeby, is clean and safe. He went into deeper waters in the pool here, the pool is great; big and well maintained.

Dona Sylvia is our THE place in Goa. Of late, we have been going to Himalayas for our breaks and that's when the craving for Dona Sylvia made us book another week there.

We heard that this place has been taken over by Novotel. Made us nervous. We thought what if they don't share the green taste, what if they change it to a concrete space and what if their staff don't understand the Dona Sylvia warmth while hosting us. Spending a week in such a Dona Sylvia would have been a nightmare. Who wants golden memories to fade like this?

After spending time at Dona Sylvia, I am so very happy to share that the team led by Dennis D'costa and supported by Rohit, Alphonse and Benny have not only kept the strengths of Dona Sylvia (like the ambience, service, warmth) intact but have uped the game by individual attention. Each one of us felt that the team is making an extra effort to make us feel special!

Dona Sylvia continues to offer extraordinary green space to calm you down! Kudos to the gardeners as well. It's a so beautiful to walk around different 'communities' and 'islands' aptly names after the species - frangipani, rose, ixora, hebiscus etc.

The 'law of marginal utility', (every additional stay will give you lesser happiness, in this case) has not yet proven right in case of Dona Sylvia. Every time we return as satisfied souls, and with a thought of going back!

Hello, this is regarding my stay at Novotel Dona Sylvia. I had a frustrating experience at the hotel as lots of water seeped in completing flooding the floor. Due to this we couldn't sleep and it was a grave inconvenience as we had to move out of the room early hours in the morning. I did not expect such an experience with make my trip or Novotel. <br/>The room service didn t respond on time and we had a terrible experience. We had to wake up at 6 and no one responded on time.I called the room service at 7 and they responded around 10.<br/>Really bad experience.

Construction work going on.. Lot of noise at the moment

Great resort. Good hospitality. Good breakfast spread. Food can be better though.
