Dona Sylvia Beach Resort Reviews

Novotel Goa Donasylvia one of the finest resort ever I have seen nor will see. The more u come the more u it. Beautifully situated on the white sand of Cavelossim beach. Cottages r very colourful & its interior something like amazing & the whole credit goes to the excellent housekeeping staffs whose efforts & careing nature keeps this resort so beautiful. One of the best open restaurant, Seagull having its one charm, excellent food,nice bar called Amalia & greatest plus point is its sweeming pool.Throughly enjoyed & willing to come every year.

The hotel approach to the beach is very good and as it has private beach it's quite clean and we'll maintained..Rooms are ok nothing exorbitant. The main and important thing which I don't like the behavior of the Novotel staffs as they were too much swayed by their foreign guests and we Indian guests are like "chalta hai"...I would never go that place anymore though I visit Goa once in a year. They don't inform us about the restaurant timing and they don't welcome us properly....pls keep this in your mind and visit This property at your own risk.

Excellent thru and thru. Lovely place to stay, very big swimming pool, very good food. Close to beach. All staff very well trained in customer satisfaction, attentive, polite, professional. Lots of attention to detail in the room. Very hot water, Tata sky working properly. Loved staying here, I wanna come back soon.

Yup a great place and famous name..
Stayed here past 3 days for my company event.Novotel and Radisson blue are adjacent star class property which share my review equally as we booked both places for our Massimo Goa meet 2.0 march 2021.
very nice ambience to stay..
* the rooms are more over has an authentic old indian architecture with wooden roofings, thinnai ( long bench like construction to rest )in portico instead of using chairs,which was also available.But the thinnai gave a good free feel to rest and admire the calmness around. Good service too.
* They serve all cuisines and do have halls , open area ,very decent swimming pools and very adjacent entry to cavelossim beach ...
* This open area is so massive to have good corporate or big company dealer events like the pictures i posted.. i was part of the event as well...
* Understood how much supportive they were when such big events happen..it is a very huge property to accomodate more than 400 people ( just refering our event crowd). They also give very good pricing and support really.. If any of my readers or going to plan such huge event refer my name ( mohanarengan) and my company name( Massimo batteries ) for still better experience.
*********The one star that i have not given is for just three small minor points
1. Location south goa. If planning goa ,dont choose south. If planning good stay or huge event then okay.otherwise novotel and radisson blue are adjacent and awesome choice.
2. They do have battery vehicle ( buggy) for transfer between room to beach as it is a huge property.As i am unable walk easily because of an injury by accident i had, i was totaly reliable on this buggy. They served their best to help me but it was only 40 % useful. Understanding the guest situation i suggest and would have been more pleased with service , if they had really given me more support as i needed it very compulsarily. So if you cant walk easily or aged persons better talk to them before booking. So it would be easy to get the service if needed.
3. The bathroom was not upto the mark. Not much space for a star category customer. Not much thought in it. I would say we really like to enjoy bathing in a good class..i missed a tub to rest after long walks..Not much space or interior decorations as well.I as a frequent traveller suggest people who go for plasant and romantic get aways should and would also prefer a very spacious bath place with more things that i missed at this place.
******The whole property as architecture, maintenance , colors , ambience , manpower ,Spa , small gym , food rocks. They also do small music events for their other gusts who stays in their dinner hall..
Its awesome place to enjoy the sunset and sunrise by beach with a green company.

Novotel Donasylvia is The best Resort among the best in Goa for its excellency in serving the guest.Staffs r well trained & organised.They r expert in making their each & every guest feel so special at any situation or mood they will be.Especially the excellent Housekeeping team,when I wake up in the morning the first person I used to meet that's HK, receiveing a greet with a big smile on their face that makes my day more beautiful.They used to keep my room neat & clean at all the time with my best freferences & delights.Secondly chefs are superb at live counters ,gives the taste as if my mom has made. Restaurant staffs r very helpful. I really enjoyed my stay,thanks a lot. Hopefully meet u soon guys, stay blessed.

Visited it in late summer just before monsoon ....
Awesome weather ...great spacious hotel...nice well mannered staff... great food, service ..just besides the beach...beautiful cottages....loved the pool area

Missed the shacks on the beach ( they say it's coz season)

Buffet needs improvement. Beach sand contains black oil which may be harm to body.

Beautiful resort with private beach. Enjoy the mornings by having walk in their beautiful property.

- Air conditioning was not working in room. It took them 2 hours to get attention and next 30 mins to get it fixed.
- I requested them dinner plates. I never got it. I went outside and bought plates myself.
- My wife requested for bathrobe and soaps. It's been 45 minutes but no one sent anything.
The service here is simply terrible. The property is good. We liked the architecture and decorations, but that's not the only think that matters, does it? The only reason I'm giving this 2 star instead of 1 is because of the nice views in this property; makes you feel like you're back to Phoenix, AZ.
But the hotel staff and their attention, uh huh. No no no. For the same reason, I'll not recommended any of my friends or family to come here.
I believe if you wanted the beach with hotel, you can go for The Park in Calangute.

I stayed for 1 day its close to radisson and radisson was full... food is ok... staff is pathetic.... i hate this place..... i recommend please go to radisson which is just next to this hotel...

But staff is horrible, TV remote didn't had battery complained 4-5 time about the same, but no one camr to fix it. In the end used the battery of setop box on the TV and again use the same battery in setop box Remote

Nice property, however staff not friendly especially in pool area and restaurant.Better avoid this place ,u can get better place with better services all around Goa.Also the staff are too biased.

Really nice hotel, helpful staff. Unfortunately we were there due to flight cancellation so couldn't really relax.

It was an amazing stay. Property is on the beach, have an amazing swimming pool for kids. Courteous Staff and peaceful atmosphere makes it a perfect place for a great vacation.

This being our second visit to Novotel Goa Dona Sylvia, we again came back for the generous hospitality of the Manager Mr. Satbir who on our last visit recommend us to try this place for the Brunch. Also not to forget the hospitality with the warm welcome of the staff, and being taken care of the entire day. Food as always is great. We also indulged in some spa treatments to end the day on a relaxing note.
Overall a great place to unwind.
& have also recomended this place to my friends & family and will continue doing so.

Beautiful property and quite a large area of coverage....close to the beach. Rooms are quite elegant and well maintained property.... Good buffet.. With lots of choices.... Especially the goan fish curry...
