I worked with Horatio at Don Jacobs and he was great. He was not pushy and was willing to answer my questions and take the time to make sure I understood everything. He was very pleasant to work with. If you are thinking of getting a car at Don Jacobs, ask for Horatio to help you!

I would highly recommend Don Jacobs Toyota! Jan and David were two personable salesmen who were very helpful and resourceful. David even helped find a Rav4 in my budget by getting rid of the features I didn t care for like the power trunk, but ensuring i would get my heated seats. The manager, Mike, is oh so patient and beyond kind who went above and beyond to ensure my demanding husband would be happy too. Ann helped with the financing and was kind enough to explain gap insurance to me several times and call my parents so I could make an informed decision. This is the first time I have ever left a dealership 100% satisfied and certain I received an excellent deal! Plus free oil changes and tire rotations for 4 years! I will definitely go here for all future purchases!

GREAT A customer service while you are on the mark...

GREAT A customer service while you are on the market for a vehicle, once that's done if you happen to say, get into an accident and need help...not really the place to seek for it. We purchased a brand new 2017 Camry XSE, someone crashed into my wife with my 3 yr old daughter inside, when it was time to call and get information regarding the car and she couldn't find it, hey let's call the dealer where we purchased the car from, spoke to a manager who told her, you should have the information, she did, but she had a concussion, but who cares, not their problem. Well we decided to give the dealer another chance (Don Jacobs in 27th Street) and of course, we can't give you a better deal, this car has better stuff. My wife got emotional, because the very papers she was told they didn't have when she called after the accident, now magically appeared within 5 minutes....MAGICAL!!! and of course now they think we are being emotional, because we want charity. So Mr Manager who "wanted to make sure we stayed in his backyard when purchasing a vehicle, because of course he cares, now all of a sudden is able 2 print the paperwork that "my wife should of had"; then he has the nerve to ask where I was when she couldn't find her paperwork, working, some of us do that. Then all he says, well.your telling me we have bad customer service, but you are back...yes to fill out the paperwork that needed to be filled out, which when my wife asked a question about, well thats not my area of expertise, so I am going to.get someone who can help... (by the way thanks Tracy- in finance for being kind and compassionate and David for the follow up email to my wife after the wonderful experience yesterday); He had the nerve to say that he didnt know who she spoke with....you Mr SJ. The same one that told me personally when I called upset, because my wife was getting the run around after we bought a brand new vehicle and got the run around after almost dying in a car accident; YOU said that I could call if we needed something..My wife and her family have been with Toyota since she was 18: they have bought and paid in FULL x 6 cars, from other Toyota dealers, but needles to say it was a Toyota. So yeah, GREAT customer service while on the market to buy a car, but in your time of need, after a car accident, with your 3 year old daughter and suffering a concussion, screw you, not our problem. So yeah "0" for compassion and +10 for neglecting a FAITHFUL Toyota customer, who thanks to this lovely experience will either switch brands of cars or perhaps take their business outside of your backyard. This will fall on deaf ears and we will take our business elsewhere, but hopefully someone benefits from my whining and ranting. Thanks Mr Manager for the GREAT experience, at least at the beginning .... (me being sarcastic in case you didn't notice, because, you know, it's not your area of expertise and all). No worries as far as I am concerned we are done doing business/thinking of doing business at your dealer and I will make sure to share our lovely experience with any friend who perhaps may be considering purchasing a vehicle at your location. Good customer service means being cordial and helpful even after the purchase has been completed, it's called follow thru, this is what keeps me coming to your business, but I guess maybe perhaps that is not your area of expertise either Mr Manager.

07/24/2017- (07:24PM) Really not much to discuss. Perhaps a little more sympathy and corteousness from your manager on site and not having ask my wife where i was when she was looking for her paperwork ans couldn't find it. Treat people in a respectful manner whether we are buying a car for the first time or calling to get help. Its kind of sad that i drove 30 minutes across town to another dealer a d was treated more cordially. As far as my family, friends and anyone that I can voice my opinion to about this specific dealer, we are done.

Julius Jackson our salesperson, with Brent and Antoinette assisting us before that were excellent. Buying a car usually sucks, but the team at Don Jacobs made the whole process pleasant and more importantly there was no shady BS.

Just brought in my car battery that I bought from ...

Just brought in my car battery that I bought from them a while back for my 09 prius. I know, it has a tiny 12v in the trunk. (My smart charger at home says it has an open cell or something and won't take a charge.) Got sent to service to have it tested for warranty and the service guy turned me away and said "All 12v batteries only have 12 month warranties." I pointed to the very large "84 MONTH WARRANTY" sticker on the battery but he kept repeating the 12 month thing. Parts department says they cant do anything without a receipt and were unable to look me up in the system. I need the battery or my Prius wont start, so $252.
Keep your receipts from these guys.
-follow up- Went home and found my receipt, brought it back and went to the parts desk. The cashier person must notify the parts people to send someone out because as the door opens I hear, "Oh, is the car battery guy...again" in a not so happy to see me voice. Gentlemen comes out to me and I tell him I have my receipt now and would like see what we can do about the warranty. I explained that the service guy blew me off. New parts guy didn't care one bit. He tries to tell me to bring my car in so they can check the battery..in the vehicle. I explain that I checked the battery with a smart charger...omg, his eyes rolls so hard they almost fell out of his head...and that the car doesn't start with a dead 12V battery and I can't get it to them to check. He said, "Well, you could" (implying I could have the vehicle towed to him...to check the dead battery that was right at my feet). He then said he needed some "code" to complete the warranty, its procedure. The service guys would give him a code...if I could get them to test it.(because apparently it is my job to fight with the service guy) I went back to the same service guy from earlier and asked him again to test it. Service guy got a technician and got the battery tested and handed me a little 2 inch receipt thing that said battery @ 6.6 volts and a chart that said my battery was in the replace zone. No special code I could see. Took this little receipt thing back to parts guy. Had to wait again for cashier to page parts guy to come out. I handed him the little receipt with no code, and he took my original battery receipt. He left, came back 5 minutes later and said I had 25% left on the warrany. Credited me $56 and $30 for core charges. If i hadn't found my receipt, and hadn't asked the service guy to test my battery a 2nd time, I'd be out of luck.
I'm changing my review to 1 star. I service my own vehicles, and I prefer to buy OEM parts when I can because they're made better..most of the time. And I'd expect a lot better experience for warranty coverages through a dealership because these guys represent a brand. But I was sent to chase my tail, had a bunch of smoke blown up my behind and then treated like an annoyance from Don Jacob's. Worst experience at a dealership ever. Just look up my receipt and test my battery next time...simple, and maybe a smile.
Put the new battery back in my Prius and she fired right up, no issues, no red triangle of doom. Thank you Toyota, not Don Jacobs Toyota.

Was in the market for a car for MONTHS I went though numerous dealers dealing with a lot of different people but Meriah Mabry and Jessica Podlesnik made purchasing a car a breeze. Meriah is incredibly knowledgeable and gave me so many options that helped me find my perfect car. And Jessica is so kind, she helped me break down all my finances and helped me understand basically everything. I definitely would recommend them they're so professional and they know what they're talking about.

I was given 3 different numbers of what it would cost for our 30k mile maintenance. Obviously the last number was the highest by an $80 difference. When I asked about it they fumbled through their answer and still never gave me a clear cut answer other than it s fees and parts costs which was not given me on the quote or estimate. When the manager asked the cashier to add it on the calculator they still came up $50 short. But I was still left to pay the full amount. The only reason it deserves the one star is because of John Alois. He was very nice. Definitely won t be returning.

My experienced was outstanding, and everyone at Don Jacobs works like a team to deliver a great product and great service. The website accurately reflects inventory and Robin in internet sales contacted me promptly to arrange a test drive with Edwin Hernandez, who did a great job explaining the unique features of the Prius C. I appreciated Alan's follow-up phone calls to keep me informed, and James' experience and knowledge in financing options. I highly recommend Don Jacobs Toyota.

My friend and I came in here to get his car traded in for one of their used cars. Needless to say, the salesman said little to nothing and when he did, he was passive aggressive. The other staff were rambunctious and irritating, especially the financing representatives.

It felt like I was in a shady used car dealership on 16th and north, and that s not a good thing.

Full stop. Go to a different dealer.

I purchased my car through a broker and the dealership was Don Jacobs Toyota. When I picked up my car they were very thorough in going over the manuals and the car. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I told them I didn't want any extended warranties and they did not push the issue. It was such a relief to be treated with respect and to feel like they really cared about the customer. If I have any questions I know Joel will be there to answer them. Thanks Don Jacobs Toyota for making my experience so easy and fun.

We had an amazing experience working with the used car sales manager, Brent! He was very personable, friendly, efficient and an absolute pleasure to work with. He was very flexible with us to make sure that we left the dealership happy and feeling good about selling our 2018 Traverse. We highly recommend visiting Brent for all of your used car needs. Due to the great customer service we received at Don Jacobs we will definitely be back. Thanks again Brent!!
(Disclaimer... I NEVER write reviews so rest assured that I was very happy with our experience.)

Recently visited Don Jacobs to purchase a used vehicle and I had test driven multiple vehicles and honestly I was disappointed. Each car seemed disregarded as if it was traded in and no one checked to make sure it was ready to be shown or ready for a test drive.

Cars were dirty with crumbs left behind, cigarette ashes and not cleaned at all and what s worse is the carfaxes shows the cars had maintenance performed and when I test drove the cars the issues the carfax showed were fixed were not and very apparent durning the test drives. After reading reviews on others sites I dodged a bullet by not purchasing a vehicle here.

This dealership is known to sell poor quality cars.Think twice before buying a used car here.Would not recommend.

I almost went to the West Allis dealership, because of the amount of positive reviews, but then noticed how management addressed any negative reviews at Don Jacob s, and I m very glad to have made this choice. The service was very cordial, efficient and professional. From Gary in the garage to Carly at the service register. I m coming back for sure!

I went in there today for the first time for a recall fix and talked with John and Chris. They were so nice! They helped with any questions I had and were overall very welcoming. The mechanics had my car done very quickly and even did an oil change which was overdue that came free with the warranty but I wasn t aware. I usually don t write reviews but I was very impressed. I will definitely be going back there for any car troubles or questions.

The staff was courteous, service was competitively priced, and of average time. My problem is they grossly over torqued my lug nuts. The manufacturers specify a torque, and it seems like the people doing the tires just tighten as much as they can. Not good for the vehicle, and what if I had a flat tire and didn't have the tools to loosen the lug nuts. As it is, one of my lug nuts is starting to round. Not sure if that was them that did it, or if it was in the process of trying to get it off. Either way, you pay a premium at the dealership hoping they take care of the vehicle the way it was intended. They have lost my trust as a customer and I will not be taking my vehicle back there

I'm not sure why there are negative reviews. If you come here for a oil change expect to wait a hour plus. That's because they do a great job and make sure it's done right. The service people are very nice and professional. The waiting area is one of the best I've seen

Never heard of the salesman appraising a car, first of all. Second the first appraisal he gave us was straight out of KBB, sent him back to get the real appraisal, so he left. When he came back 10 mins later, he had the same number as the first time, $2500 - $3000 less than TWO other dealerships. So I asked if he even drove it, he said he didn't have to. Aaron, I think you need to let management know they need to have a used car manager or a buyer do the appraising from now on.

I've been going to Don Jacobs for a few years to have my car serviced and the quality has gone sharply down hill the past few times. I would no longer recommend it to anyone. Dropped my car off the other day for a service that was supposed to take three hours. After it had been while over that, I tried to figure out what was going on and the communication was terrible. I probably spent over an hour on the phone trying to get help, (put on hold, transferred to various voicemails, not being called back, not being able to get in touch with anyone who could give me any answers on what was going on with my car). I didn't end up getting my car back until 11 hours after I had dropped it off. Management's response to my complaint was seriously inadequate.

What a joke! A typical dealership who doesn t own up to a mistake. 2014 Toyota Camry with 25k miles had touchscreen issues. They did a hard reset and it was fixed . The problem persisted and they wanted to charge me $115 for a diagnostic which I didn t want to pay and comprised with the issue. I finally bit the bullet a 6 months later which now my car isn t under warranty. I paid the $115 for the diagnostic. Dropped my car off at 10:15am and they asked if I could leave it longer possibly til 5pm. Okay great, not like I have anything else to do with my day off. Sure they offered me shuttle which took nearly 45 mins to arrange. I called at 1:10pm to get an update and I was told it s almost ready. 2:15pm I call and the person I was being helped by was with a customer so I was offered to leave a voicemail; not sure why the other person couldn t tell me the status. Guess he doesn t have access to all cars other than his? Who knows. He called me back 15 mins later to tell me that the diagnostic showed that I would need to replace my audio input; $875. I asked for the shuttle and an hour goes by with no word on a shuttle eta. I get a call and by this time I ve already arranged a ride for me to get there. I understand there are policies, but when I first came up with this issue and the reset didn t work, the dealer should own to this and replace the item for me when initally the car was under warranty when this started. Since there are no updates or known issues with this system they won t own up to it. Google it and multiple other users have had this same issue. What a waste of a day!

I purchased and 05 corolla with 88,537 miles in August of 2010 and Eddie Reyes was my salesman, Everything went very well and Eddie was awesome. A week after the purchase I took the car to get inspected by import minded who informed me that I had two wheels out of balance and warped rotors. About two weeks later the check engine light came on, I am mechanically inclined so I plugged in my code reader and got the code, P0138, and called Eddie. He talked to Ron Huber, His sales manager, who said he would cover half. I was not happy with that since I had just purchased the car and already had two other small problems. I called Ron later and spoke to him, he didn't want to do much until he heard that I purchased a warranty. I told him I would change the rotors but I wanted them to change the o2 sensor out. He told me he had to check with service and would give me a call back. I didn't hear anything so when I called the next day he wasn't in, then I called everyday for four days and not a single call returned. By Wednesday the next week I was angry and called back and was given the Field operations manager who got back to me within an hour and said he wanted to check and make sure it was covered. Scott called back the next day and told me just to call and make an appointment and that everything would be taken care of. I don't care for Ron much and think that he is an arrogant jerk but Eddie and Scott were both completely cool.

Once you have a minor conflict with a company and they are prompt to correct the situation it makes you a more loyal customer. I will return as a customer and do appreciate Scott and Eddie's kindness and loyalty to their customers.

From the whole experience I have learned two things: get a prepurchase inspection and fight for what you believe in. Warped Rotors and out of balance tires are common problems with cars but should have been repaired before my purchase and I should have had it inspected before I bought it but that is all in the past and I am satisfied with my car.

Wow. What a great experience! I have been thinking about selling my car for a while and looked up the value on Kelley blue book yesterday. I typed in my information to get an instant cash offer and someone from Don Jacobs called me within minutes. I brought my car in today so they could look it over and they made me an offer on the spot that was $1,431 OVER the Kelley blue book price!!! My thanks to Brent, the used car manager, for making this such an easy process! I would highly recommend going to Don Jacobs Toyota if you need to sell your car.

Patrick Murray did a great job in helping me purchase a Toyota Tacoma. He knew the vehicle inside and out and was able to answer all my questions. He made the buying process simple and the dealership offered a fair price for my trade in. I was so pleased with my purchase I sent my daughter in to purchase a Rav 4 from Patrick and Don Jacobs two days later.

Had a bumpy start to a new car purchase due to miscommunication between the salesperson and us. However, this provided the opportunity for the dealership to shine at service recovery. Once I made Dustin aware of the issue, everything was handled in a quick and professional manner to correct the mistake. In my book, everyone makes mistakes, it's how you recover from them that matters and Don Jacobs Toyota excelled at this! Thanks Dustin and the rest of the team that took care of us!

Friendly, Courtesy, Fair- Let me start by saying, they don't stalk you in the parking lot & when you start talking to you about a vehicle, they don't play the games like other dealerships. The ones, where your trade in disappears and they are difficult about giving it back, ore your left for long periods, and wait and wait, or the closer is brought in. They all seemed genuine while talking to you and there was no real high pressure sales push.

Not covid friendly!!!!! The main manager and many workers not wearing masks..... eating at the main desk and talking to customers without masks! I have never been in such a hurry to leave a place before. When you have to ask someone to make sure they put a mask on when in your vehicle during a pandemic that s bad. After some bad experiences with some dealerships in Illinois I ventured across the Wisconsin border and ended up at Don Jacobs Toyota. I worked with salesman Shaun Sutter and manager Christian. I realized from the start that Shaun was by far the most kind and honest salesman that I came in contact with in my recent search for a new Toyota. The whole process from start to finish was smooth as butter. Got top dollar for my trade and a great price on my new car. So when you stop into Don Jacobs you ask for Shaun Sutter NO QUESTIONS ASKED!!!!! Christian the manager stopped by to say hi and was extremely welcoming as well. The facility is top notch, waiting area stocked with doughnuts and drinks.

Took it to ewald in franklin today MUCH BETTER SERVICE. And they found the klunk as well as the pulling! Needs front sway bar links and bushings.
