Don Cesar Beach Resort & Spa Reviews

Ive been here for a day and a half and I really can t say I m impressed with this place for the expectations that I had for a four star hotel. We had called before our stay to request a refrigerator and a crib for our room. When we got to the hotel we again asked to make sure that we had those two items in our room. We finally get to our room (which wasn t ready until after 5 when check in is supposed to be at 4) and there s no crib and a mini bar that I thought was our fridge. Turns out the mini bar doesn t get cold enough for milk so I had to call and see what was going on and they acted like they had no idea we were supposed to have a refrigerator in our room. After that whole ordeal, I order take out from the restaurant downstairs and the entire meal is wrong and the kids meal is burned. I try to call to get it fixed and no one will answer the phone. I call guest services and I m told I have to walk downstairs again to complain and no one can help. For the price of this place I would expect to at least have gotten an apology for all of the issues I ve encountered in less than 48 hours of my stay. No one has made any attempt whatsoever to make this right, not even a comped drink. I would never stay here again.

We checked in and valet parked it went so smoothly.As we entered the building was breathtaking. We stayed for 3 nights it was terrific. The room was so nice and roomy.We had the one bedroom suite with balcony.We enjoyed the pool which was never too crowded.The beach was beautiful as well.Staff was masked up and always so helpful. We dined their the whole stay food was phenomenal. Nothing was never too crowded everything was so clean .

We didn't want to leave, our balcony faced the beach We opened the sliding glass door just to smell the air and it was so windy.I really was in paradise.

Definitely A 5 star hotel and between the chandeliers and how they renovated its absolutely gorgeous I would definitely recommend the Pink Palace

I m not sure how this hotel have 4 &1/2 stars. If it was possible to rate the service less than 1, I would have done so. First, they cancelled my reservations for a suite and put us in the smallest room that literally
Came with no wash clothes, mini bar empty, and no fitted sheet on the bed. Didn t even offer an apology. 2 normal size people could not fit in the bathroom. Honestly I don t think a big person could fit in the bathroom without turning sideways. They advertised in room dining but don t deliver the food. I went downstairs to order the food only to be told that it s over a 2hr wait to get the food. Spend 3days there and no response to getting wash clothes and no cleaning of the room the entire time. 90% of the employees do not care, complete lack of care attitude like this is just a normal part of their daily function. I would never stay here again or recommend anyone staying here. I m happy I got to experience this because I had considered doing our employees retreat here and not in a million years would I allow them to experience such level of mediocrity. Sad

We went to the restaurant, society and were celebrating a special event. We had made a reservation a month in advance next to a beach view. Not only did they lose our reservation but then changed it from a pm reservation to an am. We ended up making a brand new reservation which meant we didn't get a nice beach view anymore. The staff was not prepared nor organized. The waiter came over once to take our drink order but then didn't come back for another 45 min to take our food order. I asked the waiter for a refill on my drink, which never came, even though they also asked if I wanted a refill. The food came at a reasonable time after it was ordered but then one of our diners was missing half of their food order. The waiter apologized and said they would go and check...an hour later after we were done eating the waiter comes over and just says "oh, they never brought it out?" and then walked away without another word. I would not recommend you go here if you are celebrating something special.

It was perfectly fine. The service was a bit off. May be because of covid but seemed like they were very short staffed. I wasn't blown away by any kind of different kind of experience or better accommodations then any other hotel. I dont know why I had expected more. The beach is gorgeous!! I wish they had more rooms the balconies.....They don't have many! Everybody was very nice.

From the moment we got there the service was amazing. Taking our bags to our room for us was a good start. The room was clean! All the employees are so nice and helpful. And the best part, the beach and ocean was absolutely amazing. Definitely recommend and definitely will be back.

My stay was enjoyable, however the room smelled a bit old and musty. The rooms are also quite dated, so if you don't mind the odd smell and dated decor, this is the place for you. It is an historic hotel, so some of that was due to be expected. The local restaurants are great, and the beaches are lovely.

This is a lovely hotel. View from the king room with balcony is wonderful. It is a rather large hotel and it seems like they are pretty understaffed right now. (But it s spring break)Took about an hour and a half to get lunch yesterday, but can t complain since I was waiting in a comfy green beach chair. And Paul, the server at the beach, was incredible, he carried about 30 drinks on his tray through the sand with ease, keeping us all very happy at the beach.

I love The Don CeSar and can't wait to go back! Last weekend I had my client's destination wedding at their hotel and everything was so beautiful!! I worked with Devin and from the start she was great, very responsive and on top of everything. The wedding day was amazing, it ran so smoothly, Devin and the team at The Don CeSar had everything set and ready to go which gave me and all wedding vendors plenty of time to have everything ready for the Ceremony, Cocktail Hour and Reception. Devin was so helpful at all times and willing to assist in any way possible. Thank you Devin, I'm looking forward to working together again in the near future!

Awesome setting on a beautiful beach! We decided to check out the Don CeSar and love the setting! We ordered drinks & good while hanging out at the pools. Watch out for hungry seagulls as they are known to dive in and grab a burger out of a child s hand... We had several avoidable mishaps but didn t let those mess up our short stay.

A few tweaks needed in their F&B POS system but the majestic building and setting more than make up for those rough spots, those will be worked out over time. We will be back to immerse ourselves in the hospitality and look forward to a more enjoyable stay.
