Unfortunately we could of course not enter the houses due to corona. Instead, they have an interactive exhibition about Bruegel throughout the park. Very nice set up when you also play the game. Initially designed for children, I think, but we (43, 38 and 17) had a great time with it! They enforce very well (yet friendly) on corona measures, even in the toilets!
Two years ago I was here too, we could go into the houses then. There were people who showed how it used to be and that was also great. The park is clean, the people are friendly and the entrance fee is fine too. It would be nice if there were also vegan options in the catering industry, but otherwise a well-kept park.

Was a super fun day. It is a very well-kept environment that allows a glimpse into the past. We spoke with great pleasure to the man in the farm who prepared the daily meal, the weaver, the pastor who came to read a letter to the farmer's wife (very good people keep their role), but the best was surely (certainly with our children aged 5 and 7, a visit to the school where you got a taste of teaching in 1914. My 5-year-old son immediately asked "I shouldn't come to school here, isn't it, Dad." Master Joseph played a starring role!

Bokrijk winter night review: you're basically being asked to pay admission for a carnival. That said, the fireworks were better than expected and the fire parade short but sweet. There is a fire show going on twice a day; but it's not worth waiting for - I've had the impression even I could make something more impressive than the flailings of an amateur pole dancer, a fake violist and someone waving a fire umbrella.

Very sad and animal unfriendly to find a large rabbit in one of the farms in the dark. All alone. In a small loft. Hopefully it will get a friend and another loft. This ruins the experience of the park.

Great experience. We have been twice in this Open Air Museum. It has nice paths for walking, interesting buildings, and you see how people used to work. There are also many games and some activities for kids. We would have liked that the cafes had a bit more variety of food and more affordable prices.

Huge open-air museum near Hasselt. Brings historic buildings from all over Belgium together in a nice forest. In weekends and summer there are lots of demonstrations of old trades, games and foodpreparation. My favourite part is the old-Antwerp bar with Belgium beers. Best alcohol-related dark beer I've ever tasted.

Easy to spend a full day here.

Fun for the children (and the parents), quiet, friendly ... A pity that little explanation was given about the houses and the domain itself and that everything revolved almost exclusively around Brueghel.

Wonderful nature. We found it somewhat lacking in explanation though. The info panels do tell a story but not so much about the daily life. There were little visitors so maybe the museum relies more on information provided by the actors and guides but there weren't a lot of them available this early on the season. Still a cheap museum of course for what you get. The sixties exhibit was a cool extra.

Very beautiful environment! Definitely worth a visit. Staff is SUPER friendly !!! Due to the corona measures, the open air museum and parking were free. The open air museum and the surrounding area is immaculate! The arboretum is also worth a detour. Beautiful and well maintained.

Beautiful, exactly also just a lot of renovation exactly behind what makes it just a little too clean. Corona only walking area had a nice impression of the beautiful domain! Nice ice cream also eaten made by a local association with local products, even without lactose on offer.
