Very tranquil open air museum with small hamlets of historically accurate reconstructions of old Flemish farmhouses and country living.
Loads of activities for children, while remaining interesting and engaging for adults as well.
Definitely worth a visit if your in the area.

I visited this domain regularly last year 2019 and the years before. Of course it costs a lot of money to maintain this Provincial Domain Bokrijk of 550 hectares large domain, but to ask for 5 euros parking fee for this this year, while it was 3 euros last year, is still too much! Previously often drove there just to drink a cup of coffee, but then the coffee is paid dearly!

Even with the restrictions one of my favorite places in Belgium. I've been coming here since I was a kid. The combination of nature, the open-air museum and the great playground means that today I come with my granddaughter. So the fourth generation.

Known for years, this area is somewhat the equivalent of Zaanse kans in Holland.
An open-air museum, in the heart of a wooded area and meadows, including old houses with thatched roofs. They were transported to the estate. From different places in Belgium. There are also 2 beautiful mills, workshops showing different trades, a barn, a small stone church. The interiors of the houses are furnished as in the 18th and 19th century.
In this period, one cannot visit the interiors, except in the Breughel course, very well carried out. A complaint: the written explanations are given in Dutch and English only. French being one of the national languages, we should find it even qd. I speak all 3 languages, but this is not the case for all of our fellow citizens.

I used to come here with my parents, had a holiday job as a youth, and now that I am a mom, I enjoy this wonderful place with my children, enjoy a nice playground, have a drink in the coach house, walk in the woods or open-air museum, you can also rent bicycles. Just heavenly place here you will certainly get the Limburg feeling

It is and remains a beautiful location in nature.
The beautiful old buildings, rebuilt as they used to be.
By Covid 19 all crafts were closed, which was a shame ...
Enjoyed a snack and a drink, and the location

10/10 Absolutely loved our visit. The open-air museum provides you with a perfect mix of a stroll in the woods, learn about Belgian history in the different parts of the country and hands-on fun dyeing, kneading or hammering something together.

I would definitely suggest showing up early enough because this place would easily fill up two days if you wanted to.

Not interesting in Corona time: most buildings are closed, no demonstrations data, information panels are closed, no brochures with explanations available. Save yourself the entrance fee and take a nice walk in the area.

A very relaxing place with many things to learn on the life in a Belgian village 100 years ago, on the 60's in Belgium and on the old jobs and traditional games. A big park. Joy for kids and parents. Farm animals and old beautiful trees. Only negative points: expensive bars and restaurants, the customer service is not good.

I, my wife and my parents had a great time here. Unfortunately some things were closed due to COVID-19 but overall it's a beautiful place to visit even when there are less activities such as role play. Luckily the restaurant was open so we were able to have a simple yet lovely lunch in the warm September sun.

The open air museum had been made corona proof, a number of 'houses' had been closed. The 'crystal' quest, was very cool, for young and old! Great respect for the Bokrijk team. They patiently and kindly assisted all people when they had questions or sought directions.

The place is fantastic...but, the leisures were very far from one another. Lots of walking in the dark...which is not the best in a cold winter evening and with children along. Overall a nice lovely Xmas event for families!!

Really a nice park, only the distances between the sights is too large. It is almost impossible to walk with children. The Bruegel theme and the associated high-tech searches are fun but should not have been necessary. The food trucks (I think part of a festival) was very nice and fun. The layout of the sights could have been a bit more for me. It didn't really live for me. The playground outside the park is huge and certainly fun for the children, keep in mind their remaining energy when you visit that playground in advance :)

Super friendly staff, completely geared towards children. Interesting, handsome, interactive, playful and educational quest around Breughel. Shady, so suitable in the heat. Nice day with a 5 and a 5.5 year old.

With the price of 12.50 p.p plus 5 euro for parking is totally not worth it. 40 euro for 2 pax to see nothing, no way. Better fo by the lake. Paying just the parking and have amazing nature for a day for free.

A pretty nostalgic place for anyone who's interested in the older ways of crafting and the games played during the previous century. Lovely to walk around and bask in the presence of nature. Sadly due to Covid, not everything was open as it should've been, but that's to no fault of the people who work there.
