Dmos orthopaedic centers Review

I was scheduled for surgery, was there and ready to start, then denied because of a mistake; a dumb mistake, made by Laura Cunningham of Unity Point; I can no longer have surgery! Yet, I still have to pay an exuberant price for absolutely nothing! Ridiculous if you ask me!

So disappointed in this facility. Was looking to get a second opinion here. Called to ask how to proceed. I was quickly told to go to the website and request that DMOS request my records from my doctor and then rushed me off the phone. I did just that immediately. When submitted, it says it could take up to 10 business days to get the records and an additional 3 or so days for the doctor to review. I waited patiently and called about 2 weeks later to inquire how to schedule my appointment. I was then told that there were no records and not even any record of me (which means they never even REQUESTED them). After being disconnected multiple times, I finally was able to keep them on the line long enough to give my information and for them to tell me that I have to request my records now. I called and had my records and MRI sent immediately. I waited another week and after hearing nothing, I called back to inquire about the status. I was told that the doctor had completed review 2 days prior, but the nurse/assistant needed to request the MRI report and then get back to me to schedule. Two more days later, I got a call from her and was told that I need to request the MRI report...you couldn't have let me know that 4 days prior?? I had the report sent immediately and then waited an additional 3 days or so and got a call back and the nurse/assistant very rudely told me that the doctor wouldn't take my case and didn't think any of the other doctor's there would either. I asked if she had any other recommendations to which she just said "Iowa City". I asked if there was anyone specific and she said "just Iowa City" and hung up. How can you treat people like this and in good conscience delay my treatment as I waited a MONTH to get this response for a second opinion? And now I'm back at square one. If you don't want my business, then you should have told me that from day one. I guess if you aren't an athlete at a large university, you just aren't important to DMOS. Wow. Just wow. Glad I found out now before being treated poorly as a patient.

I waited 3 weeks for an MRI appointment. I got to my 2:15 appointment at 2:32 due to work issues. Waited 5 minutes for the check in person to acknowledge me. Was told appointment was time cancelled and I'd have to reschedule but the scheduler could not get back to me being it was Friday and they had gone home for the day. Shoulder issue and have been one armed for the past month. Busy, I get it, but we are all busy. The system is broken. As long as DMOS has more patients than they can handle customer service is non existent.

I can not say enough great things about my experience at DMOS! Everyone along the way - and I wish I had everybody's name because I interacted with over half a dozen DMOS people - was happy and smiling and engaging. Dr. Sullivan was the same - great bedside manner, thoughtful. Emily was one of the people who took me through some exercises to test my shoulder, she was just awesome. The woman who scheduled my MRI was lovely. The woman who took X-rays was fantastic. The woman who was training alongside Emily was awesome. The lady who checked me in was gracious and kind. The kindness and professionalism shown by the DMOS team set a very high standard. My great thanks to all of you!

Went there to have my knee looked at after years of pain, and not being satisfied with how I was being treated for it prior. I saw Patrick Sullivan today and it was a horrible experience. I will never recommend this doctor, everyone before I met him was amazing super friendly and nice. I had to wait an hour to see him just be yelled at by him and the way questioned me and what I was told by my other doctors was wrong made it seem like I didn t know what I was talking about. He also talked down to me didn t even seem to care that I am dealing with this pain. I was recommended to go dmos from several other people never thought I would have this type of experience from a doctor.

Edit to add: they did reach out to me, offered me to see another physician, apologized to me. Doing what they can to make the situation better. I plan on giving them another chance most likely at a different location and if the other location does better then I will change my review.

With a bit of reluctance on my own behalf, I visited my care team of Dr Sullivan s. Jill was phenomenal! She was sweet, professional and knowledgeable about my situation. I left feeling confident about the information given and having them as my team. I am thankful that she was able to take time to listen to my concerns and give me a couple of options! Great service from the time I stepped foot in the doors, the screener was kind, the check in was fast and efficient, and the person rooming me was a nice kid! Thank you all, Great team!

My experience was dismissive; and being treated like I was wasting the doctors time. Fortunately I got a second opinion from a physical therapist who explained the problem I was having and recommended proper interventions. Dr. Bremner and DMOS are, in my experience, terrible practitioners. I've asked my family doctor to never refer me or my family members to them in the future if heaven forbid we need orthopedic services. Still haven't even seen my CT scan results or had anyone explain them to me...

I honestly can't say enough about my experience here. I just had my surgery and Dr. Smidt and the whole team was absolutely amazing. My appointments leading up to surgery were just as good. I highly recommend DMOS and Dr. Smidt. Dr. Smidt does an excellent job and very knowledgeable, compassionate and listens to you and any concerns. The pre op nurses, the nurses in the OR and my anesthesiologist all were top notch. I am very happy with everyone that was involved in my surgery.

Went in to urgent care. Receptionist was so rude. I thought ok to 1 person but every person she argued about co pay, telling people to keep quite and pretty much yelling at old people to put thie mask on. This person needs to find another job as she is not a people person. Wow.

Dr. Reiter is phenomenal. He demonstrates a genuine concern for his patients and goes above and beyond to help them. He listens to your concerns and structures treatment plans tailor-made for your individual situation. He is knowledgeable, personable and an all-around exceptional surgeon.
