Divani Palace Acropolis Reviews

I kind of liked this place. Think of luxurious common rooms, excellent breakfast, excellent wifi reception throughout. The rooms are not bad but could do with an update. Consider a change to double-glazing. Even at the 4th floor (and earplugs) the rubbish collection would wake me up before 7am. Consider modernising the bathroom a bit; the floors were all wet after having a shower. None of that should be very hard to achieve and would make things a lot better.

Great location, our room had a view of the Acropolis. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful with local recommendations.

Not a 5 star hotel at all. Very old and dusty. Bed not comfortable. Bathroom not clean

Even though it's a 5 star hotel I don't think it deserves it. The food and staff are 5 stars for sure. The rooms aren't that luxurious. The toilets are quite old. There's no free coffee or tea available in the room. Only a small pool outdoors, only for summer time. Small but decent gym included in the price.

The facilities are not good, breakfast is not crowded, and I am tired from the third day.

It is easy to access, but you have to walk with 1 key everywhere you go. The interior is clean and has good causticity, but there is almost no soundproofing. MT level noise in the sound of water

Pool is closed from 2.30 to 5.30 for "seista" if the lifeguard wants to sleep that shouldn't impact my time. I'm paying good money to sit and look at a pool for 3 hours in the hottest part of the day!!!!!!!

One of larger hotels, with decent rooms, and great front desk staff. Do keep in mind, photo of Parthenon is slightly misrepresented on their site, it is a lot farther in reality.

Absolutely incredible hotel to stay at. The lobby staff was exemplary in information and directions. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. I would recommend this place for anyone looking to stay in Athens. My favorite part was the location being away from the "hustle and bustle" side of the city. You are located blocks away from beautiful ruins and historical sites as well as a short walk from the Plaka for shopping and food.

Nice hotel, great location. I had a booking for an executive suite on the top floor with a great view of the Acropolis. Within walking distance of all the major attractions of Athens. Expensive but decent for the price.

The room was incredibly nice and they had free breakfast! It was also relatively close to the Acropolis which was great since you could see it at night on the roof restaurant.

A very good place to stay where you get an excellent view of the Acropolis. Sitting in the balcony of the room one can get a very good view of Acropolis in all its shades from morning to sunset and night when it is wonderfully illuminated. The hotel is good with a good lobby and service is prompt. The rooms are clean and spacious and the WiFi is good. A short walk takes you to Plaka and the Acropolis museum. Many interesting places at walking distance.

Divani Caravel is near by, in the samen price range but has a much higher standard (especially breakfast wasn't ok).

Pleasant comfortable stay. Super breakfast otherwise vegetarians had better avoid avoid the restaurant.

Superb location, very impressive service and delicious food. Beach is just across the resort and they have their own beach side restaurant. A great place to chill out with friends and family. They could improve the sound proofing in the rooms, I could hear the traffic in my room in the night. But overall 5 star.

Woke up every single day at 6 am on the sound of a garbage truck below my room

Great place to stay. No complimentary breakfast but the very helpful staff will help you find a good place for it.

The location right next to the Acropolis is of course a highlight. In 5 minutes you are at the entrance to the Acropolis site. Loukas has been in the hotel for years and has the reception very well under control and is very helpful and very friendly. The rooms are a bit small but clean and functional. It also has a refrigerator. The hotel stands on an "excavation site" so you can see it very well in the basement like in a museum.
Unfortunately, the pool can only be used for a limited time (practically not to be used in the afternoon because of the siesta, a shame). The sauna is probably the smallest (because of Corona not in operation) I've ever seen (probably only for one person). The fitness center is well equipped.

It is trying, but the level of provided services is like in CR twenty years ago. However, the location is great if you are going to visit the monument.

Kind of old, don't let them put you in a room close to their storage rooms or you will never sleep. The staff was friendly and the location was good. Everything was clean.

I've stayed in several hotels in Athens and this place is spectacular. The service is phenomenal, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the food is first class.
The roof top "secret" bar has one of the best night views of Acropolis.
Centrally located, walking distance to everything, including the Plaka, Acropolis, museums and all the great food.
Definitely worth staying here.

I wanted to give him 3.5. indeed this hotel is not very sophisticated but the fact that it is close to Acropolis makes it very useful for people who are interested in the ancient Medina of Athens.

The rooms are clean. The beds are soft. The bar was well staffed and food excellent. It's conveniently located near everything.

You have many in Athens for hotels but not many that are this affordable for the quality we received. I highly recommend staying here. It is super close to everything and very safe!

A 5-star hotel where you can walk to the Acropolis. There is no new taste after 60 years

Clean, luxurious, easily accessible, well maintained and maintained hotel, with pool on the patio, garage, center-remote, a breath away from the cradle of culture, the Acropolis ...
Accommodation, tours, conferences, events, catering are all on the great list of services you can enjoy from the Divani Palace Acropolis. BUT IN THE LAST VISIT ON WEDNESDAY 21/2/2017 at 21:30 the men's restrooms on the ground floor had water on the floor and a bad smell.
The staff will be happy, polite, efficient, numerous, will meet your needs.
The cuisine is very good.
In general it will stay stay happy.

From the terrace the view is awesome, what struck me is that right across the pool there are houses very close to the balcony.

Seminar in one of the most beautiful rooms of Athens. Wonderful really and especially in one of the most beautiful areas of the Center.

Very good location although the rooms are not for 5 stars under the Acropolis .... Breakfast was perfect .... And to improve your roots what because we were school we were not people we .... And Wi -Fi is not good because it does not catch the entire hotel building.

The hotel locates in good place nearby city center and PARPHENON. Staff are pleasant and polite. Someone can argue about quantity of stars of this hotel, but I don't want, because we are keeping glorious memories about staying there. Thank you very much!

Checked in today with my son and family to celebrate his 12 Birthday. Dimitri checked me in and was so pleasant and helpful. Hotel is boutique style and gorgeous! The view from our balcony? Stunning! Hotel very clean and elegant. Absolutely will stay here again.

The five-star hotel was late, and the breakfast was replaced by a lunch box. After four days, I had to stay for another night, so I only rated four stars before and did not comment. There are small bars here. Many people have to take hot water for 24hr to get water. It is quite convenient. Although the room has a kettle, but the bottom layer of white scale is afraid, and the water quality in Greece is not good. If you don't buy mineral water to burn, the taste of the boiled water is unacceptable. So once again, you will know to go to the nearby My market and any time market to buy mineral water to cook. The wifi quality of this hotel is good. The breakfast buffer is sumptuous and delicious.

The staff was amazing by getting me my phone back & mailed to Patmos from Athens! Thank you so much. They loved our dogs too@ Without a doubt best location you can get when visiting Athens. So much to explore and the most important sites are just blocks away. Great views of the acropolis all around. Do not expect the rooms to be all that cause they are not. Decor is a 2 star quality. Amenities are 3 star quality & staff is 4 star quality. This hotel could be 100% better if decoration was updated. We chose the location cause they accept dogs for a small fee. Over all experience was good & loved our room with a view & the welcoming cookies. Room service was good as well & food was yummy. Yet I forgot to take pics of that. The breakfast buffet was great! Lost of healthy options & variety of food & bake goods.

Hotel is close to attractions. Air conditioning not working in rooms but worked in lobby. Hard to sleep when you have to open balcony doors and the staff is talking under your window all night, along with everybody else in Athens. Not a 5 star hotel by any standards in the world. No bottled water in rooms, no running hot water, no turndown, and hotel restaurant leaves more to be desired. Avoid like most things in Athens just a tourist trap.

Davani Hotel is overpriced and overrated. Definitely close to tourist area and Acropolis but that's about it. They said our room was upgraded to "executive" and I think that was a lie. Our room was standard and our "king" bed was 2 twin mattresses put together. I also didn't realize an "executive suite" means someone moving what sounded like furniture at 8 am. The pictures advertised are false.

Later, we told them we needed a room for an extra night since Skygreece went bankrupt and we were stranded but they didn't have any rooms available. In my opinion, they could have made more of an effort to accommodate us maybe at one of their other hotels. Also, the breakfast was unreasonably priced at 30 euros per person. We couldn't even sit for a coffee. Stay away folks. Not worth the money.

Not a 5 star experience, 4 maybe. Location is good, close to Acropolis. Room itself was hardly 4 stars. As long as you know this it's all good.
