Disneyland is fun as always. Lots of walking, bring comfortable shoes. There is a large variety of rides for everyone. The new galaxy's edge is great. Makes you feel like you are in mos isley. The crowds actually add to the ambiance. Fireworks and other shows are always excellent. The staff are also excellent, the make a big difference. The only thing keeping this from getting 5 stars is the cost. Cost of everything.

OMG, it has taken many years to see and experience Disneyland. But it was so worth it. Totally enjoyed everything about it. The lights, the rides and our amazing host, DJ. He made sure all was a joy and a pleasure. Not to mention how much we enjoyed his unique laugh. Anyone going to Disneyland and getting a host should definitely request him. We will all carry a little piece of him forever. Oh and the restaurant that's like ole fashion style, is WONDERFUL! The chicken and mashed potatoes were soooooo good. And huge portions.
The happiest and most magical place on earth. And most expensive but totally worth the experience. My daughter's had so much fun, we try to go every year.
It was great to do the after dark valentine's night. Fast lines and 99.9% adult couples. Also not too many people. Was able to ride all the rides we wanted with time to spare.
GREAT experience! The park is so clean and the workers are always so happy and helpful. Even pregnant, I was able to enjoy a lot of the rides and have fun. The food was great but as expected very expensive. Definitely a great experience going at Christmas time and can t wait for our next trip!
PS parking was so easy. With the hundreds of cars piling in, they kept everything organized and easy to maneuver.
The best theme park in SoCal! Sure, it takes planning to make the best use of your time and minimize the lines, but the park will be an immersive, joyful experience if you let yourself forget about the world outside the berm. Great variety of rides, shows, food, and entertainment. Oh, and don t leave without a macaron from Jolly Holiday Bakery or a Dole whip!
extremely fun place that's fun for all ages alike. I highly recommend that everyone try to come here at least once. rides are very fun and most kids meet the height restrictions. they have parts of the park that appeal to both adults and kids alike. bring lots of money as food can get pretty expensive. I recommend bringing a small backpack for souvenirs and food and water, which you are allowed to bring into the park. very clean and staff is fun, kind and helpful. lots of walking and lines aren't that long and you can get fast passes. Only downside is the place is too big to visit thoroughly in one day, I recommend staying 2+ days so you can visit California Adventure as well. The Disney hotel is quite expensive so i recommend that you get a nearby hotel. Not to far from LAX (Los Angeles International Airport), Long beach Airport, Santa Ana Airport, Bob Hope Airport (Burbank Airport) or Ontario Airport.
It's barely been a week since going to Disneyland and I already miss it like crazy. I really enjoyed it and nothing could ever keep me from going back again.
Good fun but very expensive (as expected). Kids loved it. However they had to close attractions several times. Twice with us on the ride. Evacuation process on Indiana Jones was terribly slow. Should be improved.
Great fun! Ridiculously expensive but good for a rare treat. Wasn't that crowded on a July Sunday --almost found it disturbing how empty it was. Some of the rides meant for children that have been around for decades don't hold up but some of them do.
The ability to make a grown man feel like a kid again is the magic of this park. The originality of this park is awesome. It has that that magical feeling as soon as you enter. I highly recommend coming to this location.
Amazing theme park full of fun for the whole family. If you get fast pass - plan it out wisely what you will use them on. Pick the rides you want to go on the most. Typically you will skip about 1 hour to 1.5 hours of waiting in line. The prices I must say are outrageous. Spend your money on food and gifts OUTSIDE of Disneyland. Instead of buying pins in the pin trader stores, but a lot or 50 pins for $10. Bring food and water with you. Be smart with your money.
The rides at this park are a BLAST, besides waiting in line for quite a lot of time. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the cast is caring towards kids. Truly is the happiest place on earth! Enjoy the experience!
Great time. Very crowded at California Adventure for me obvious reasons. Only saw parts of the parade. Looks fantastic. Cast member Apple in Cars ride was great. Thanks Apple for you kindness.
Happiest place on earth! Love the haunted mansion ride. We always get a mickey bar when we go to the parks to splurge. If you haven't been here you should at least once!
Magic still there but so expensive. If your not wealthy you have to cut allot of corners to be able to go. Knott's Berry farm is way more enjoyable and affordable.
What a great place to go. It can be a little busy, but then it is Disneyland. Avoid the weekend if you're trying to avoid the craziness. It's still busy, but not as bad. Can't wait for Star Wars Land to open.
The staff is always offering up some Disney Magic. The remodel was recently completed and the rooms look amazing! The restaurant's in Downtown Disney are overpriced. Of the three places I've been to, all three where bad experiences. Rude customer service and overworked teenagers that can't wait to get off work. The Resort restaurants are all GREAT!! Friendly staff and great food.
What can you say about Disneyland, it is magical at any age. I have been coming here since I was 5 in 1964. It's grown so much. The changes are remarkable. I love still coming here and I am 60 now
Always a great time at Disneyland, much better than Disney World since everything is in close proximity. Although things withing the park are rather expensive, the trip will ultimately become a great family vacation.
Came here for a conference and took advantage of being close to the park. By far the happiest place on earth and the most fun I have had. The must do rides for me were Indiana Jones, Splash Mountain and the Star Tours.
Of course this is the most wonderful place on Earth. We had 5 days here and enjoyed every one of them with over 26000 steps a day. Getting in even with long line-ups was very fast and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Always get the fast passes and enjoy your time at Disney. California Adventure Park is just as fun. So many good memories and so many good photos
I will ALWAYS love Disneyland! :-) The cleanliness of their park, the manners of their employees, the ability to make California Adventure sparkle with the ambience that they do is incredible. The lights and flavor that you get walking through just sends a tingle down my spine. Not a single lightbulb is out! Every detail down to it's minute little aspect is covered.
On my daughter's bucket list has been Disneyland at Halloween time and of course this being the first year California Adventure has put it on made this a top priority and it did not fail to meet all of her expectations. It was spectacular to say the very least. If you are at all a Halloween fan I highly suggest going during Halloween time!!! I don't even know how many times I have been to Disneyland in my lifetime but this was by far my favorite and it had to do with their Halloween decorations, rides, theme, and characters.
I must also give kudos to their security staff and their medical team as well. Disneyland Remains the happiest place on earth because they are excellent and what they do by not allowing anything to happen to disturb it from being a happy place. They are extremely efficient and handling situations and not only that they are also extremely careful and highly professional to where other tourists are unaware that anything is even taking place. I witness this first hand in both a security situation as well as a medical situation on this visit as well as my last visit. Excellent job Disneyland! Thank you for handling it so well and discreetly and also for the rest of everyone else so they may continue on their day and enjoy it without having to worry. :-)
Everything about Disneyland and California Adventure is just magical. The new stuff like Galaxy's Edge, Frozen play, and Guardians of the Galaxy are really great additions to the parks. I'm sure to come back in a few years when Avengers Campus is open.
I don't know what I can add to this place that hasn't already been said. It is Disneyland, I believe is is the happiest place on earth. Yes, there are crowds and yes, it can be very expensive. However, when you see your kids eyes light up as they meet a beloved character, or your body bounces to the infectious beat at the parades you just feel happy. It is great to just relax and be a kid for a few hours.
Fun time. My first visit to Disneyland. I didn't think the lines were long. Only thing I feel there is not an overabundance of restrooms but it is very clean . They have a very efficient procedure for parking . We parked in the toystory lot . Shuttles were fast to and from the parking area. You so need a mobile phone for a bunch of the app items. Be sure to bring a battery power pack ,but Disney does offer free WiFi. For us 2 days was plenty. We did not go to California adventure.
loved seeing that real, genuine smile on this little girl's face. Emily I love you my lil lady. you are truly one of a kind. don't ever change you for NO ONE !!! was nice feeling like a kid again. def brought back some memories.
We love this place because it is Disney!! Employees are kind & interactive. A lady was simply sweeping yp leaves ... but she swept them into Mickey heads. Every job is important. Thanks for giving it your special 'Disney' touch!!!
Always a blast when visiting Disneyland. Highly recommend the Max Pass option. Also, the millennium falcon makes for a good viewing spot for the firework show.
I have had the best Disney Experience. January is the best time to go especially during weekdays. We have lived off the snacks we brought, and take napping trips at the hotel around 2.
We actually only went to Downtown Disney and not the actual park. And although the sign said it was open until 2 am, most things were closed wen we got there around 11. Only restaurants were open late. Parking is free if you spend $20 and fortunately, one of the Disney shops was still open. Will visit again next time we're on the West Coast.
Took my 6-year old daughter. She was dressed like Belle and everyone who worked their made it a point to bow and acknowledge her. Made her day and thus, made my (and my wife's) whole vacation worth it! My daughter said "it's like a dream!"
The happiest place on Earth it totally is if you definitely have the money to spend on a nice little getaway I would recommend coming to Disneyland. The visuals are absolutely out of this world the rides are very beautifully put together and entertaining and the parades are very awesome. I absolutely love coming here as much as I can it is very pricey but well worth it. I cannot wait to return.
What else is there to say... it's the happiest place on Earth. I refused to pay the extra $15pp for FastPass. It seems Disney really tries to make you pay for the FastPass through the app since they make the FastPass machines difficult af to find. When you do find them, need to make sure you get the pass for the right ride. They like to put 2 machines together to confuse you and end up getting the pass for the wring ride. Then you have to wait xxxx amount of time to get the next one.
Happiest place on earth! Got to take my family here and it was my sons 10th birthday expensive but what isnt haha totally worth it 3 day park hopper with fast pass, on average $375 a person, bring your own snacks and frozen water so it's thawed by the time you ready to drink it
So much fun here, no matter what age! We didn't have time to go to the park so we went to Downtown Disney. There is tons of fun stuff to see and shopping.
What's not to love! It's Disneyland! Star Wars Galaxy's Edge was beyond cool for a Star Wars fan from the beginning. The Happiest Place on Earth is our #1 vacation destination.
It's a ball! I think it's pretty amazing and will meet up to anyone's magical expectations! All the rides are very fun! I recommend the Red Rose tavern to eat at! It's the best!
We love the comfort of this resort. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The pool and slides are amazing, the restaurants are delightful and the early entry into the Disneyland park is great!
Happiness lives here! My family thoroughly enjoyed our time in Disneyland. We would highly recommend going to anyone who has never gone. The employees offer great hospitality and are always willing to help out. The night time is my favorite part of Disney as there is a 8:45 parade followed by a fireworks show. There are also some waterworks/lightshow that was amazing to seem 12/10 just make sure you buy souvenirs outside of the park to avoid the crazy mark ups.
I have never been to a Disney Park before and this was such an amazing time. We went late in the evening so the lines really weren't bad. The fireworks show at "It's A Small World" were truly breathtaking. The Max Pass was a really good investment of money. It allows you to enjoy more of the park and avoid spending most of your time waiting in line.
The hotels at Disneyland are amazing! It's fun to check out the details and decorations. The shop's also have exclusive merchandise you won't find at the parks. Goofys kitchen in the Disneyland hotel has a wonderful brunch with characters from your favorite Disney shows.
Wonderful day at the Magic Kingdom. The food was delicious and the cast members all were bright with smiles. It was and is the perfect place to let the real world disappear for a day. The spring flowers are just starting to bloom. Thank you to the gardening cast. You always make Disneyland a living rainbow of color.
Amazing. I did not want to leave. This truly is the most happiest place on earth. We got 2 day hopper pass for both parks, and it was not enough to spend 1 day each in each of the parks. Need 2 more days each park to get everything in.
Aside from prices for things in the park (which I was expecting) Disneyland is a great park. I'll admit that I prefer Disneyworld more, but Disneyland was very nice. The lines were short and efficient (unlike Universal Studios). Fast pass max was worth the price to be able to book from the phone. Everything just worked nice and efficiently. I don't know if I'll be back to Disneyland, but it was certainly a memorable experience.
Always on Point. Disneyland always delivers what it promises, to be the Happiest place on Earth! The new Galaxy's Edge is fantastic! It really does transport you to a galaxy far, far away. The wait times for smuggler's run is not bad, the line moves faster than Indy or Space Mountain. Yes, the park is packed, it's summer. Deal with it if you comr on a weekend, but it is so much better during weekdays. Disney is worth the ticket.
What are the best places to go Disneyland is truly one of the best in things a person can do. Just, don't try to come as many rides soon as possible in a day. Half the joy of the place is the slow walks and looking at things on the way. To get all the rides, go in the early morning or within a couple hours of close. Yes, your best to bring you happy face.
The hotel is well situated and close to downtown Disney. The grounds are well maintained and the pool area is great for kids. Considering the number of people moving in and out, the rooms have been kept well. It is also great to see there is a restaurant/bar near the pools which is open till late. Also has a nice outdoor fireplace area just to sit back and relax.
One of my most favorite places in the world to visit... I transform into a little kid/teenager inside every time we go there. I'd quit my job and move to California if we could afford to live there and work for Disney
Ive been here twice already and can't wait for next time! I love our home town Walt Disney World, but Disneyland truly has the better rides and more "Magic" in the experience. It definitely is pricey, but quality will always win out in the end. Truly a magical place. It's a must do if in the area or visiting LA.
Used the max pass to the maxxx! It helped us run our legs into the ground. Would have got on every ride if we didnt stop for cocktails and food from the holiday festival. Galaxy's edge is beautiful and did not disappoint.
So... What do you need to know? You know it's expensive but I was surprised how quickly my budget was blown on routine meals. Not even souvenirs and treats, just regular meals. Plan for that. In 3 days my 3 member family blew well over $100 on basically burgers and hot dogs. Maybe keep a separate budget just for food. (And definitely budget! Or else 6 hours in you'll find out what it's like to overdraw your account with two days left of vacation... I'd imagine...)
Otherwise, if you don't expect or demand 'magic,' it's far more likely to happen to you. Just enjoy yourself and relax.
I've been coming to the Disneyland Resort ever since 2001. Is my childhood and always lots of fun coming to the place. Yes in recent years is gotten more crowded but, it's the 1st ever the original Disney theme park that Walt created back in 1955. Even when I do visit all the Disney theme parks around the world, it will be the place that I grew up with.
My kids absolutely lobe disneyland. Although this year we did not renew our annual passports. We will be next year. We cant wait for Star Wars Land and Toy Story Land.
Its disneyland. Literally the happiest place on earth. Its the only place in the United states that can immerse you the way it does, sure WDW is big, but this is where it all started. Here you leave today and enter the world of past, future and fantasy. Welcome, To disneyland
We love Disneyland! They were very accommodating with my wife and her service dog. We ended up forgetting my ID but had a picture of it and they allowed us to use that to buy tickets. It was great and we had a great time. Definitely have to try one of the new Dole Whip flavors. We love the raspberry one. It's AMAZING!!!
its Disneyland so amazing and fun. they should have never got rid of captain eo lol. but still awesome -1 star for price and murder on your feet and legs and also because no more smoking sections you have to leave the park to smoke one and that's a burn
Happiest place on Earth! My wife and I have passes and go all the time. We love it and there is always something to do. Star Wars land is my nerd dream land and we love everything there. The staff is always friendly and helpful and the park is well maintained.
Was there for character dinner at Goofy's Kitchen. Was a fun time and excellent food and service. This is the original hotel. Large but lots of amenities and right next to entrance to Downtown Disney which leads to the parks.
What can t I say about Disneyland? I ve been coming here since I was a kid and have never been disappointed by anything. The new ride is amazing totally Roth the wait in line and if there are only 2 of you and you really don t mind if you might get separated there is a singles line that might save a few mins in line. But Disneyland has over done themselves with this new land or as they like to call it World since it s like being transported to a different planet altogether. And at night time it s the best place in the park to see the firework show right by the Millennium Falcon that s as close as you can get to the fireworks as you can get at Disneyland so they are really loud. Don t forget to get the Maxpass that will allow you to get as many pictures as you want throughout the park from the photographers and then you can save them directly to your phone from the Disneyland app. It s worth the $15 I got some really cool pics from it.
Finally made it to Disneyland! Though it's smaller than DisneyWorld, it was an awesome time! The rides aren't too far apart and easy to move from section to section. Cars Land is amazing!! It is hands down the best designed world of all the Disney properties!
Don't let there be any hesitation if you're on the fence to book a vacation here.. My sweet boys have been talking about how awesome disneyland was since the day we left. They cant get over getting to interact with storm troopers and darth Vader. They were the perfect perfect age to meet characters (2 almost 3 and 4) and were so impressed by every little detail. They especially loved pixar pier and everything in california adventure. We cant wait to go back again next year. It was mine and my husbands first time so we discovered it with our children and now I'm a shameless disney phanatic. Already getting ready to plan the next trip.
A world of magic, as always. This was my 4th time through, but this one was more to see Galaxy's Edge, and I was not disappointed. All Star Wars fans young and old need to see this, as the whole attraction (particularly the Millennium Falcon) is quite an immersive experience.
Iv been going to Disneyland since I was just a child. Everytime I go I have an amazing experience. With the new app on the phone i am able to plan out my day and get fast passes on the go. My group hit ride after ride! No lines even during the busy summer.
Amazing seeing Disneyland at Christmas!! We went on a rainy Wednesday and it was perfect. I think we waited for 2 rides, the rest we were able to just walk on. We stayed warm with amazing hot coco from the Hungry Bear, and had an awesome view on their patio. Can t wait to go back!
