Disneyland is amazing, always. Staff are courteous and always willing to help. They have done a lot to reduce the size of lines, although weekends are always a hectic time to visit.
Happiest place on Earth. Always.
Great time with the family, try going on a Tuesday or Wednesday for less people!
This is an awesome place to stay if you're visiting Disneyland. Typical hotel amenities - gym, restaurants, convention center, pool (with 2 water slides), etc.. but the convenience to the theme park is second to none. It's so easy to get in and out & go back to the hotel if you forgot something, close to the monorail, everything is WALKING DISTANCE. You also get in to Disneyland an hour early before the general public. It's pricey, but you should do it at least once if you've got small kids.
great place to take out the family and the children's as well. Note it has very high prices for he meal, and etc. Love Everything about it, i can not complain but beside had a great time with my daughter. She went crazy for her first time and not going to lie, i went crazy too (in a good and happy way). Thank you Disneyland and it fellow workers for putting up with most of the people negative and "hard" customers. I had a great time and we will continue to go in the future.
What can I say: it's Disneyland!!! If you love it, like I do, then you know that it is a really magical place somehow, filled with people who enjoy the rides, the incredible eye for detail in every corner of the park, and everything about it. The new Star Wars-themed area of the park is absolutely amazing, even though there was only ride open at the time we visited. Will definitely come back soon!!
Fantastic! This place is something like you ve never seen before. The amount of people that come here is something I ve never seen before. The experience is awesome. The bathrooms have someone in them all the time to keep it clean, which I loved! Cleaners are walking around all the time cleaning up. This place must employee so many people. The turkey legs is the best food there for $12 it is so worth it. We spent 4 days here and that was enough. Brought a lot of Disney things.
A relaxing night outside the Hawaiian bar having drinks with friends. Service is OK, takes a little longer than your average restaurant/bar. The experience and relaxing atmosphere is what you get. Tropical Drinks are well served, just a little high in prices, but as expected.
Only giving Disney 4 stars because as fun as it is and as much of a Disney fan as I am, it is just way too crowded. It's an amusement park I get that but if you're there all day and you manage to leave having rode 3 rides that's considered an accomplishment. That being said I do love Disney and I will absolutely be there for star wars and Marvel land. I cannot wait!!!! Having a pass is the most fun ever. It's the perfect thing when you're sitting at home and don't know what to do. Being able to do to Disney and walk around, ride rides or even just people watch and take pics is a blast!
Simply the most magical place on earth! You have to visit to believe it
If you come to California with your family and dont take them to Disneyland you are a bad parent. Unbelievable doesn't come close to describing this place
I ve stayed at many resorts, from 5 star to no stars and I must say, if your looking for a genuine once in a lifetime resort stay .... look no further. The cost can seem high but if you ve got kids or your just a kid at heart, what this place brings to the table is unmatched. From the valet, to check in, to the bell hops it s everything Disney. The rooms are crazy clean updated with enough new tech to make the parents happy but not enough to keep the kids bolted down in the rooms. Spend the day at the pools and finish up at the park, wake up the next day and have breakfast at goofy kitchen! I promise when your done this will be something you and your family will never forget!
My wife and I went in October and the decor was obviously Halloween themed. The California Adventure side was way more decked out than the Disneyland side. We have been several times and normally I would have given it 5 stars but this trip the restrooms were always a disaster and Main Street smelled of sewer instead of cookies as it usually does. And this wasn't even a crowded time to go.
Beautiful, good rides for all ages and disability friendly, kinda pricey so make good use of your money, lots of walking so wear comfortable shoes, usually packed so if you don't handle crowds well it might be a problem. Nonetheless the water/ light show is a must watch, I cried at how beautiful it was, the imagery is whimsical, and Disneyland truly is magical.
My family and I went to the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim in March. We drove for about an hour fron Los Angeles, but decided to visit the next day and just rest for the afternoon. We went early in the morning and there was a queue of parents and their children going inside the park. Please take note that Disneyland is a gun free zone and firearms are checked, and is required to be left with the security personnel at the entrance. We then headed to the souvenir area to shop for my little nephew, and we ate there as well. Just a tip, food inside Disneyland is way more expensive, and is not as good, so set your expectations.
We had a slow start to our day as we could not get our tickets to sync with our app; so we missed out on getting the Maxpass early enough to get earlier Fast Pass times for rides. Noticed the cast members are not as "friendly" nor do they try to make your day as "magical" as in years past. Lots of rides down as well! Our family had a great day nonetheless; and we made sure to have a magical time.
Great place for kids and grandchildren. All the food we eat was very good. Just wish that they didn't have to bend you over at absolutely everything that you do at the parks and hotels.
One too many people for the happiest place on earth. So much to explore for sure. If you have kids or love Disney characters in general, there s no reason not to like about this place. Star Wars: Galaxy s Edge was really impressive, but most of them were either stores selling a ton of merchandise or restaurants.
Amazing during Halloween. I loved all the decisions and everything Halloweeny they had done.
The Max Pass is where it's at and definitely worth the money. All the fast passes and the photo pass were well worth it. I highly recommend it to have a better experience here at the park.
It's a great place to go with family or friends. If you have kids this would be a great place to treat them for being good. It is a bit pricey however but I think it's worth it. I would buy snack outside and bring then to the park tho. I would recommend only going to one park not both in the same day. Both have great attractions! You should be prepared to get wet, if you want to you can bring a raincoat.
The park was empty from the rain, but it was awesome anyways.
I've been going for years. This trip was unlike any I've encountered before. Not necessarily a good thing. Although It's a Small World is still my favourite ride and still brings a smile to my face. I wish others a happy experience.
Wonderful to be back and California Adventure was bigger and better than I remembered
Fun place for sure. Organized and enjoyable. Can be very expensive depending on what you do.
Gray place to stay so well located, amazing swimming pool for the kids and just perfect!
It is definitely expensive, so not for every pocket if you are willing to spend a little more definitely worth it!
Happiest place on earth! Clean, great cast members and always new and improved with each visit! Never disappoints!!!
Disneyland never disappoints!!! Great resort vacation that was filled with fun and so very accommodating. Prices are what you'd expect at any themed park. Go and enjoy!!!
IT WAS AMAZING! We had so much fun with all the rides and all the places to eat! I got a funnel cake and it was amazing!
Amazing place and loved the new Galaxy's edge attraction!
Its disneyland, seriously what can you say? This one of the places that you MUST come to before you die! This place is amazing. You really do turn into a kid again when you walk into disneyland. We literally got there at opening and left very close to closing. This place is awesome, amazing and everything in between, praise our glorious overlords!
Fantastic Star Wars exhibit! The cantina was disappointing... Crowded..overpriced.. no bar fights with sabers or blasters and... no band!!!
Disneyland and Disney California adventure was a fabulous experience. I am a kid when it comes to Disney and the characters. I love the app that tells you all the events and when and where the characters will be. Galaxies edge is an amazing addition to the park. Very well put together and feels like you're in the movie.
Crowds everywhere and the fast pass will print out a pass for like 5 hours from your arrival and you can not print another one until you wait about an hour and a half. We did not go on the weekend and yet it was still extremely crowded.
Great theme park for the kids and adults. Very busy but the fastlane app works great to skip the lines. I just think that 804$ for 1 day hopper pass plus max pass for family with 2 children is a lot of money. We only had 1 day to go there. There are better deals if you visit 2 days
Spent 13 Hours here and absolutely loved every minute. Extremely clean. Lines moved well. Everything about this place is 1st class.
This is Disneyland. It has everything that is fun and awesome. It's literally my happy place. I love the Launch Bay, especially the character experiences. The restaurants take food allergies VERY seriously and, well again it's Disneyland. It is happiness.
I love Disneyland and California adventure. Both parks have amazing rides, foods, and shows to watch. Having been an annual pass holder for a few years now I am proud to call myself a Disney fan. There s so much to love here and even though I ve been coming often for years, there s always more to do and see.
A beautiful resort with lots of quaint features.
The pool and restaurants on site were great and the staff were helpful and friendly. We were pointed in the right directions whenever we had a question and it was great to see characters in the lobby that you could get a photo with and interact with.
I have no words other than enjoy the photos. There is something for everyone here. I am particularly a fan of Star wars
My eight year old daughter absolutely loved everything and we from Guam a world away.
This was my first time going to Disneyland and it was a fabulous experience. my friend and I ran into many Disney princesses, including Tinkerbell and Tiana. It wasn't too crowded and the Dole whips were fabulous. The Star Wars section was my favorite section in the whole park, and I'm not even a Star Wars fan. You have to go on the Millennium Falcon ride. It was a really great ride, and if you don't mind separating from your party, then you can go in a separate single ride or line and get through the line a little more quickly.
Expensive but also the happiest place on earth so I ll bite the bullet. Highly recommend the mint juleps at the Mint Julep Bar in New Orleans Square and the Raspberry Pineapple Swirl Dole Whip in Adventureland. Paying the $15/day for the MaxPasses on the Disneyland app is completely worth it as well. Really helps you get the most out of your time there. The app is also wonderful for mobile ordering food (to avoid long lines for food) and for seeing ride wait times.
Went at noon just because we wanted to see the fire works. This was a dream come true. If you stay to see the fireworks, make sure you take a towel to sit on. It gets pretty crowded. We did the rapid rise pass and we rode like 11 rides in 9 hours.
Nothing really bad to say about the Happiest place on Earth. We had a really good time.
Such an amazing and magical place. No matter what age you are, you're always bound to have a smile on your face
There is definitely a reason this is called the happiest place on earth! You truly get immersed into the Disney worlds when visiting this park. I love all the rides here big and small. Splash mountain, spaces mountain, Indiana Jones, and Star Wars are some of the busiest rides so I would definitely use fast passes for those rides. The parades and night shows are always wonderful, I would recommend showing up at least 30 minutes before the shows to get a decent seat.
Always fun decorations for Christmas amazing. New Year's day was easiest to get on rides. I would recommend if you've never seen the lights you go.
One of the few places that I believe is absolutely worth the rising cost. There's a huge variety in food and even the pickiest eater could find something to eat. I love the mix of old and classic rides with the newer rides with the newest tech. Most importantly, I love the way I feel when I step through the gates. For me, Disneyland is an escape in the middle of Anaheim. It can be costly and crowded but I always walk out feeling recharged and ready to plan my next trip.
The view from our room was amazing! Walking distance from the park! Service and staff were very friendly and helpful! Would stay again!
Can't stress enough.... Best Day Ever
And every time I go with my family...
Star Wars Galaxy
So much fun. Great for all ages because it brings out the child in everyone.
Disneyland Resort is one of my favorite places to go. We especially enjoyed Fantasmic and the mini-fireworks/dance party that followed. It rained Sunday, but we were poncho prepared. It was relatively uncrowded over Memorial Day weekend, but don't expect that with Galaxy's Edge opening this weekend.
It is an awesome time at Disneyland especially during the holidays. Do expect it to be very busy as there are special firework and parade shows that are only played during the holidays. Of course you can use that time to go on rides as the lines will be short.
Crowds aside this park is beautiful! The themeing is second to none, something to see around every corner and always clean and tidy.
Fun time. Good rides. Go on a shadow day for lower price and less crowded. Still a zoo but less. Make sure to get pictures.
Always a wonderful time at disneyland. Cast members often take the time to go the extra mile to make your day a little more magical. Also, as someone with disabilities the park has worked very hard to be accessible friendly and I am very satisfied with my most recent experience. Expensive? Yes! Worth it? I think so.
This is one of my VERY favorite places on this planet.
Amazing. Been there twice now and it keeps getting better as they updated the pier for a Pixar themed fun area at California adventure. Kids had fun, parents had fun...even couples in their 90s were seen having fun. Only disappointing thing whilst we were there was world of color being down for maintenance. Just poor timing is all.
The Disneyland Resort, commonly known as Disneyland, is an entertainment resort in Anaheim, California. It is owned and operated by The Walt Disney Company through its Parks, Experiences and Products division and is home to two theme parks (Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure), three hotels, and a shopping, dining, and entertainment district known as Downtown Disney.
The resort was developed by Walt Disney in the 1950s. When it opened to guests on July 17, 1955, the property consisted of Disneyland, its 100-acre parking lot (which had 15,167 spaces),[1] and the Disneyland Hotel, owned and operated by Disney's business partner Jack Wrather. After the success with the multi-park, multi-hotel business model at Walt Disney World in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, Disney acquired large parcels of land adjacent to Disneyland to apply the same business model in Anaheim.
During the expansion, the property was named the Disneyland Resort to encompass the entire complex, while the original theme park was named Disneyland Park. The company purchased the Disneyland Hotel from the Wrather Company and the Pan Pacific Hotel from the Tokyu Group. The Pan Pacific Hotel became Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel in 2000. In 2001 the property saw the addition of Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, a second theme park, named Disney California Adventure, and the Downtown Disney shopping, dining, and entertainment district.
Had such a wonderful time! It was my first time to the Disneyland Park. It's smaller in scale to DisneyWorld but that was just fine as it was easier to traverse the park. The classic rides I had been on in Florida seemed even a little different. Loved the Indiana Jones ride too. I would definitely recommend a visit to anyone who loves Disney.
Great place to visit. I love Disneyland is my favorite place to go with my family .
Downtown Disney is a lot of fun. Gets really busy. Don't forget your parking ticket to get validated when you spend $20 at a store. Otherwise, $14hr. when you exit. If the review was helpful, pls 'like'
Disneyland is definitely the happiest place on earth. They are always adapting they're rides and keeping up with the times.I love that they're always refurbishing everything but keeping the Nostalgia of the original rides. The best place for food is the Walk of counters if you want to save money. The prices are reasonable if you know where you're looking for.
Too crowd. I liked yo walk there but no way to try even half attractions in one day.
Love it here! I have been three times and it has always been the time of my life. The only problem is the long lines but they are usually worth it in the end. It always feels so magical and it is great for any age! Plus if you go to Disneyland you also get the chance to go to great beaches and explorer all the wonderful things California has to offer!
I wish there were more rides, besides the ferris wheel and the train. If Fairyland were to expand in the future, maybe put in a mini rollercoaster or a couple more rides. The park closed at 4:00pm and we were on our way out, but I'm glad they made an announcement that there was a special puppet show at 4:00pm. It ran for 30 minutes and was a great way to wind down from a day of running around the park.
The most magical place on earth! Even if it's massively overcrowded, it's still fun.
There is so much to do and so many different ways to be entertained here. Everyone adults, teens, kids, and toddler had something to entertain them. With rides both fast and slow, parades, plays, shopping, gardens, and decor there is so much to do.
Colourful Parade..few interesting rides..Brilliant fireworks lighting up night sky
This truly is my "Happiest place on Earth". Amazing energy, magical experiences and great vegan food and drink!
It's a nice place but when you live in southern California and have visited this place over the years its really not worth the cost to wait in lines for an hour or more for a 10 minute ride.
$60 for 2 peopler to have a nice chicken lunch also seems a bit expensive. I'm not planning on coming back. Leaving it to the tourists to come and leave their money.
It's magical. Everything is so detailed and sweet. The Star wars part of Disneyland is definitely my favorite, it feels so real. Merch is overpriced, but I didn't expect anything else. The 4D rides ar just amazing, especially the Millenium Falcon simulation is fantastic!
Had a great time with the family. The cast was happy and helpful as they always are. It costs a lot to go to Disneyland but you can tell they put a lot of time and money in making that place amazing!! The kids are in a dreamland and the adults can enjoy feeling like a kid again. We go every year and it feels different every time.
There is no doubt about it, Disneyland is truly the happiest place on earth!!! From meeting characters, to awesome rides, amazing decisions, and authenticity... I loved my day there, it is a place for all ages, beautiful weather, amazing memories!!! A word up though... Being something fun to do whilewaiting in lines, we really enjoy the app heads up where people give us clues to guess words, anyways, you'll have a great day!
A very beautiful place, where you can still feel like a kid. I have been here many times and I still get goosebumps
In my opinion, this is the best of the three Disney hotels. If feel the pool area is by far better than the other two.
The daventure tower is our favorite. It has the best view no matter what side you are on and it's the closest to the pool.
I literally have zero negatives to mention about this resort. There is an espresso bar and Dole whip served on property.
It's Disneyland. Of course I am giving it 5 stars! Mr. Toads is still my favorite!
My wife's cousin brought us to this place on the second to the last day of my visit to the US. Just like all other Disneyland Resorts around the world, the place is filled with disney related themes, stores, shows, food stalls & restaurants, rides and all types of amusement stuff. Though adults too will have a good time in this place, its the kids actually that would enjoy most. How I wish our kids were with us in this visit.
Disneyland original is the best part. California adventure it's such a waste of time and so much walking. they have a few of the greatest rides but they are so spread out and no way to loop between them without going all the way back to the middle and then back down another long corridor. I think I will just stick with Disneyland from now on all the best food is over there and the rides are easy to get to.
Customer service is a thing of the past at Disneyland. Just spoke to a lead cast member, Destiny, she was SO rude, speaking over me. Try amd get some HAPPY people to work at the HAPPIEST place on earth!!
Disneyland was much better than I expected. I spent two full days at both parks, and they were both fun and action packed. There were a limitless number of rides, and the staff was helpful. Getting in and out of the park was a breeze, and managing the fastpass with their new app was especially helpful when planning the day. All the food there is good, though it can get pricy. Overall, Disneyland is a great place for families or friends, with something for everyone.
Fun rides for all ages. All staff stayed in character. Smaller than DisneyWorld but more thrill
So I'm sad to say that Disneyland is not what it once was and Walt would turn over in his grave if he walked around the parks today. The maintenance and cleanliness has definitely slipped. A lot of the cast members are less than enthusiastic and sometimes marginally rude. Most of the live entertainment has disappeared. These pictures are all from California adventure in CA, but I have seen similar stuff in all the parks in both CA and FL in several visits in the last two years. The curtains were torn up and full of mildew and it was NOT a special effect. These were sun blocking curtains high up in an eating area. The counter was at a food stand and it was clearly a mess that had been there for awhile. The ketchup was hard. The service at the counters was taking FOREVER! Bathrooms in the parks are grimy around the edges, like along the walls on the floors. I've seen vents in restaurants with a thick layer of grime and dust. Spider webs. The windows in various places covered with grime and hand prints. Things in rides not working properly. Hey Disney, if you want to hire me, I have a great eye and can find you all this stuff and report back to you! You clearly need someone like me to be doing quality checks and/or mystery shopping for you!. So seriously, let me know!
Disneyland is for sure the happiest place on Earth under normal circumstances, but after seeing it at it's worst, I'm a little less than impressed. During the 114 heatwave, nearly 75% of the rides were breaking down and the Disney app and website went down. Seeing as how we had paid for the Max Pass ($10) per person that day and we didn't get to use them, I would have expected a refund. But Disneyland handled it pretty dang poorly. They not only refused to refund anyone for their park tickets which were next to useless, but they refused to refund the Max passes which were completely useless, and instead opted to give people 4 fast passes for the rest of the day. 3/4 of the rides for those passes were down anyway and we waited in a 2 hour long line at City Hall to get the useless things. All the workers were great despite the circumstances. But the Disney management of the situation was disturbing. It's not like they aren't making enough money off us by charging double what food and merchandise should cost. Still despite everything, I'll be back. I'm an addict.
Happiest and unhappiest place on Earth. Some visits are amazing and some are terrible. Been a passholder for years but I still love going there. One of the best places on Earth to enjoy time with your family. Don't forget to bring your wallet, Mickey needs a lot of money.
So tiring, but really fun. Flying the Millennium Falcon was a great experience. For us, but not for this we crashed in to!
Splash Mountain was a favorite as well.
Did not stay there, went for the character dining. Had to go there for the traditional pancakes and waffles. Buffet.
It was a beautiful place, great amenities kids loved it. Very clean, helpful staff, great pools and choice of restaurants.
It's just magical being there
It's like you enter another world!
Yes its pricey. Yes is crowded
But the experience is unique and unforgettable
Magical as always! The rides are fun, the park is clean, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. They always go above and beyond to make sure that we have a great time.
Things to note: 1) It's very expensive to go to any of the Disneyland Parks. 2) There are usually tons of people everywhere. 3) You will have fun, unless you try hard not to.
First time going to Disneyland so this was definitely a fun experience. I ended up getting a park hopper for 1 day with max pass but 1 day with two parks is definitely not enough time to knock them both out. Next time I'd just do 1 park per day.
Everything from the food to ticketing is pricey. Makes this a once in a decade or so trip. Lots of great food to enjoy. The rides are fun for both kids and adults alike. Maybe try visiting on a Sunday evening when the crowds are lighter and take Monday off. Staff are universally pleasant and helpful.
Galaxy's Edge is fantastic!
A bit crowded but really satisfaying for fans of the Epic saga of Skywalker.
So much fun!! Had a killer time racing with friends and some random folks. Not everyone drives perfect but races are done by best time and they are good about keeping your groups together
How can anyone hate this place. They pay so much attention to all the details. All of them. Well be good back next weekend. My wife is crazy pregnant, do we can't go on all the ride, but this trip is to eat all the food. I can't believe how fully the cast members are invested in their jobs. They really make the magic happen.
Disney is always top notch!
I can't say enough about how well they take care of their properties... Clean, fun & friendly!
Definitely the happiest place on Earth!!!!
