I love the ambience. This theatre is vibrant in color and exciting to be there. I love the package of a ticket and having our bucket popcorn with soda ready to enjoy the night. There is an Organ player that entertains audience with great movie theme songs before the movie starts. Love this theatre!!!

We got to see Hocus Pocus at the theater. Beautiful old theater, seats were fairly comfy. Concessions were average with typical pricing for a theater. Almost all the staff was friendly. Good date night!

The first movie I watched here was the Snow White 80th anniversary movie and it was awesome. Ever since then, I keep coming back for fan nights (only when I have time) to experience the fan night. The seats were comfortable and I like how they have a jazz band playing or a dance performance before the show.

My BF took me here for a date to see Big Hero 6. defiantly a place to go once in a long while when a good movie is coming out, because it is too expensive. We got VIP tickets, its worth it if you are going to spend money to go here anyway.

I am visiting LA and I loved the theater. We don't have anything like that in our movie theaters back home. The organist played Disney music before the movie wearing a turquoise sequined jacket. He was amazingly good. Then they had a short show with Anna and Elsa for Frozen 2. They had the rocks from the movie in there faux balconies. The popcorn buckets were Frozen 2 with the movie posters on them. It was just magical. I have mobility issues and the even took the time to seat me so I would be safe at a sold out show. This place is truly very special. If you are in LA you have to see a movie here.

Drawing from the whimsy coffers of Disney, El Capitan conjures an entertaining charm that has otherwise been lost to time. Focusing on the experience as more than the mere consumption of a movie, you will be treated to a live show, as well. The shows are always changing, but the theme is usually matched to the film (for example, a magician performing before Oz). Lights, music, and confetti are used to great effect in creating a really fun theater atmosphere, and the quality of presentation always pleases. Even the building itself is beautiful -- inside and out. Fun for kids and romantic for adults, it deserves its place on Hollywood Boulevard.

This is an undoubtedly a uber world class establishment. When I sang on Jimmy Kimmel, it was one of the most awesome experiences since the day I was born. Lets face it, anyone who knows Jimmy, he is a genuinely outstanding person who deserves great success. All of the Jimmy Kimmel Live's staff was the best. even the limo driver, blasting my CD, telling me I should move to LA immediately, but I am humble enough with super talented competition out there, that I would be a needle in a haystack. Still, L.A has the best crowds in the world.

In the heart of Hollywood Boulevard and other majo...

In the heart of Hollywood Boulevard and other major attractions, next door to Jimmy Kimmel Live, you will find this historic movie palace, built in 1920s. It is a wonderful blend of different architectural styles: cast-concrete Spanish Colonial style exterior; lavish East Indian inspired interior.

There is a rich history of this cinema: Its debut was May 3, 1926. Stars of the stage attended the opening of the El Capitan Theatre, dubbed "Hollywood's First Home of Spoken Drama", for the premiere of the fresh-from-Broadway play CHARLOT'S REVUE, starring Jack Buchanan, Gertrude Lawrence, and Beatrice Lillie.

It was converted from a playhouse to a movie house, and the first film that debuted here was "Citizen Cane" in 1941. It was then closed for a two month renovation and modernization, reopening in March 1942 as the Hollywood Paramount, a new, streamlined "art moderne" first run movie house.

In 1989, the Walt Disney Company joined forces with Pacific Theatres and launched a two-year, museum quality restoration of The El Capitan, led by renowned theatre designer Joseph J. Musil. It recreated the original 1926 look and feel -- including original design elements such as the ornate plasterwork found hidden behind walls and the opera boxes in the main auditorium. The theatre reopened its doors to the public on June 19, 1991 for the world premiere of Walt Disney Pictures' THE ROCKETEER.

Attending a movie here is an experience, not just a place to watch a movie. There is a museum on second floor, which highlights the history and many different events that have been held here. A must for film fans and lovers of history.

Most travelers go to Hollywood Boulevard to see the Walk of Fame to take photos of their favorite entertainers star, visit Grauman's Chinese Theatre, other attractions or even shop or be in the audience for the filming of Jimmy Kimmel Live. On vacation, most generally do not think about seeing a movie, and most travelers who come to Los Angeles for the first time are interested in visiting places that show the behind the scenes of television or movies. Because of its history, it is something that should be experienced and is worth taking the time to visit.

I enjoy this movie palace every time I visit.

There is street parking in the area (make sure you read the signs), but you may park across the street at Hollywood Highland, at the time of this writing, it is $2 for 4 house with validation. Additionally, there is security check point at the entrance of the theatre, so arrive a little earlier during peak times to allow for this.

This is a beautiful theater. They really go the extra mile here. Before the movie, someone pays the grand organ, and after you can possibly see some memorabilia from the movie your seeing.
Just don't go for the VIP tickets. You get a very tiny bucket of popcorn and a drink. Not worth it.

Much love and respect to this cinema house because this place really is on top when it comes to providing a great movie experience. It was these guys that managed to provide me great popcorns and comfortable seats during the movie, and it was nice because I really enjoyed. Indeed, a great place to bring your loved ones or friends. KUDOS!

Movie theater in Los Angeles, USA

Movie theater in Los Angeles, USA

El Capitan

I said it was a movie theater, but it seems to have many purposes. There seems to be a stage performance

It was midnight when the movie "Avengers" was released on that day, but there were many people.

It's hard to understand the inside, but
There was also a life-sized figure of the characters

In the middle of the movie, if there is a cool scene, it's a big excitement
It was a lot different from Japan and it was a different pleasure

It seems that he is closed in Corona now, but I would be lonely without that moving daily life.
Come back to the original world! !!

Maybe the best place to experience a Disney movie. I don't go as often as I would like, but the little show before the movie, and being able to go downstairs and check out the set props is amazing.

Beautiful classic old theater, including balcony seating. Assigned seating. Good popcorn with assortment of flavored salts. Only potential problem was minimal leg room. It was tight for me and I'm short.

Went there for Frozen 2. Ambiance was very good. Lighting and decorations were top notch. Ana and Elsa came out before the movie to some music and light choreography. This was followed by signature disney confetti canons showering us with fall-colored paper to the delight of all the children. Popcorn and drinks were standard, only an increase in price for the collectible containers. Overall, great experience.

Throughout the years and all my many visits (I'm a big fan of their Throwback Thursdays ), my experiences have all been top notch. The employees have always been friendly and helpful. On the occasions when I've brought my wheelchair-bound Mother, they have all gone above & beyond, making her experience just as good - or better than, everyone else's. From the photo-ops, to the movie props, to the TBT raffles, to the absolutely amazing organ playing before each viewing, I highly recommend treating yourself & your loved ones to a viewing (or three) here. You will not be disappointed.
