Animal Kingdom was amazing Pandora was worth it. Flight of Passage well I didn't get to ride it cause of the line but the scenery is beautiful especially at night
At first I thought "You've seen one zoo, you've seen them all." But I was WRONG!
Went on the safari and had a good time. At first I thought that the light drizzle would keep the animals away but it didn't!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND Flame Tree Barbecue for a filling meal.
Hamarbe Fruit Market is good for a light meal.
What great fun, tons of new cultures to explore and rides to ride. Go on the safari and see the animals! Yak and Yeti has amazing food.
Really enjoyed my experience here. They've definitely upgraded some of the rides and cities. The main Avatar VR is a must ride and we'll worth +2 hours. Definitely dart in here first! Bathrooms here are kept really clean and even with animals every where this place does not smell. Loved the night water show. Food wise nothing to rave about. If you can get the fast pass well with it for the Avatar, Safari and Yeti ride. Highly recommend this park for children as they do feature a circus like kid friendly area.
Great park, very beautiful and great attention to details. You walk from one 'city' to the next and it's a completely different environment. Rides are very good, and they have rides for all ages (like all Disney parks). Animal safary is great.
Loved this park! I highly recommend experiencing as much as you can; from live shows to all the rides. Stop by Flametree BBQ for dinner and Eight Spoon cafe for their variety of mac n cheese!
Really good day out with lots to do and loads of animals to see. You need all day to get things done and a good pair of walking shoes. Not many rides at this park but what they have are good.
The park itself is pretty cool but it's the most congested park I've ever been to. There seems to be less people at this one than the others but some rides take over 2 hours in line to get on. Twice we got told there were delays in lines due to technical problems (2 separate rides). We actually got stuck on one ride at the top and had to walk down 14 flights from where the coaster got stuck. Basically it takes all day (this was during the week) to get a few rides in. I do feel it is important to note the Safari was awesome and all staff is incredible but the park it not efficient at all. We did have fun in general :).
You have to know the fast pass rulea/deals. That made it so worth it! I did appreciate all the scenery and details of it! Avatar ride is a must! Id go back!
Too crowded, there were people without mask and did not comply with social distancing in the lines.
A great place to take your family. Loved the new Avatar area and rides. Worth the price you pay to get in. Definitely look at ways to save money before going, because things can began to be a little pricey.
So awesome! Spend the money for the safari trex. You will NOT retreat it!
Awesome as always! Park was really clean and no crowds.
Flight of Passage is amazing! It is worth the wait. Lots of other fun rides and entertainment as well. So much good food! We loved the Buffalo Chicken Chips from Trilo-Bites and the Blueberry Cream Cheese Mousse from Satu'li Canteen.
The Animal Safari is the highlight of this park. By my measure, this is the smallest of all the Disney sites in Orlando, if you visit here, make sure to get a park hopper pass so you can fill out your day at one of the other parks. Make this your first park of the day and head directly for the Animal Safari. That gives you the best chance of seeing the most animals and you won't have to wait through long lines. The rest of the park is also charming, but take that in after were able to enjoy the Safari.
So much fun!!! Loved riding a Banshee. The food at the park it gets a star. I understand the Disney cast members are super busy making everyone happy and comfortable and I appreciate it, but my food was not prepared well. Could have gotten food poisoning.
Pandora Pandora Pandora! It's worth the wait on line! Best ride of all the Disney parks. Absolutely stunning park. The tree of life is truly a beautiful work of art.
Always great. Even during the pandemic. But it is clear that Disney is not cleaning the attractions as advertised anymore.
We didn't see very many animals, but that was due to us getting there around 11. Place is huge. The 4 stars is because we loved the Avatar ride. Pandora was beautiful at night too!!!
Not one of the best parks at Disney, but have a great themed restaurant. Also most like another zoo. Plus nice avatar theme area.
Incredible Park! Much to see, very clean, and a wonderful way to spend time together
This is a fun place for the entire family. The animals are the best thing about Animal Kingdom. Go on the Safari first to see the animals more active.
Currently this is my favorite park. They really have come around since first opening. What makes this park nice is it focuses on the animals and less of the Disney characters. Yes you will still find Micky but he won t be overwhelming like the other parks. There is a lot of walking. Disney built this on a large property and made sure to use all of it.
Grate Park but not right know, masks are strictly enforsed but nothing is sanitized!, I mean nothing not even a dining tables. Yes outside 6 feet a part 90F 90%humidity. Cannot take off mask for pics either. Will try to see of I can get my refund so can spend my money outside of Disney parks like Legoland or Universal where common sense is practiced.
Great time was had by all. The limits on guests resulted in shorter wait times and lines. Trade off between masks and smaller crowds was worth it. Definitely going back.
The newest of Walt Disney Worlds Theme Parks, and yet, the one with the oldest heritage. See, Walt Disney wanted real animals in the Jungle Cruise, but never got it to work. Now, through the technology of the modern age, that dream was achieved, not only through the Disney Wildlife Fund, but through new technologies of Disney Imagineering and this park. The park features many different animal exhibits, but is in no way a zoo. It is a celebration of life, as small as a bug in the Tree of Life, those long extinct from the age of the Dinosaur, those of Legend hailing from a Forbidden Mountain, and those of the impossible made real through modern technology. This park hails three of the most detailed, technologically advanced, and naturally beautiful attractions in an Theme Park in the world. It is worth a full day just to go on everything and admire the brilliance of it.
All I can say is wow! The detail at Pandora was simply amazing! The Avatar ride exceeded all expectations. I was in complete awe everywhere I turned at the attention to the smallest detail throughout the park. From the exotic animals down to the re-creation of Asia to Africa, this park offered so much enjoyment and entertainment.
I thought I was going to give a whole review of my entire Disney Vacation trip in review, but since there is reviews for each theme park, I might as well break it up. We went Animal Kingdom twice and also very early because of...you guessed it, Pandora: Flight of Passage ride. It is just beautiful. I'm not sure if I can describe the awesomeness of this ride any other way but it is an incredible journey that you embark on while flying a virtual NaVi bird. You are guided by an Avatar on another NaVi and taken through the entire world of Pandora. This ride happens to be THE BEST RIDE AND ATTRACTION in all of Disney World in Florida by far. We also went on the River Rapids which is a second Avatar ride on water while sight seeing the jungle in Pandora on a boat. The scenery is beautiful and lighting was just perfect. We also rode the DinoLand ride, my 5yr old son freaked out after that ride and so we determined not to take him back until he is older. We went onto the Africa section and rode on the Kilimangero ride viewing all animals at the park. Check out the pics for more...
The employees are as much fun as the rides and environment. A great experience.
Nov 2020 most of the atractions are closed. They keep charging de same money.not enough employees. It is not worth it.
Great park, but end of August eas so hot. Best part of the park is : Its tough to be a bug show, amazing 3d show to watch with special effects
Don t go during Covid! Same high prices and all the shows are canceled. Plexiglass everywhere. There are less people here than normal, but they space everyone out so far the lines are still longer than ever. Seriously save your money until this all blows over. If you think Disney is strict normally, times that by 10 right now. Don t even think about taking your mask down for a photo. The people 20 feet away will DEFINITELY catch the virus. Go to universal, that was more enjoyable.
Fun to explore the continents/countries and experience the land of Pandora (especially at night). Flight of Passage and Expedition Everest are great rides, Safari is always fun, and when warm enough Kali River Rapids is great (bring a change of shoes, or ones that can get wet). Overall it's not our favorite park, but we enjoy spending most of a day there.
I have tickets to this place, but they will not honor them without the "park reservation System " online. Problem is , it does not work and it is not supported. You have to wait DAYS for help, and there is no promise they will know what to do. If you call the helpline they either misdirected the call or hang up after the computer intro is done.
The Avatar Pandora area is arguably one of the coolest areas to see. They have plenty of lights, glow in the dark things, and the Pandora rides are so real looking. The safari rides are great too. There are lots of characters dancing and playing music here as well.
The Walt Disney World After Hours Party at Animal Kingdom is THE BEST
Fantastic park, clean and well thought out. But they HAVE to figure something out with how lines are handled for Avatar Flight of Passage. Also it isn't truly a "full day" park. More like half to 3/4 day.
Animal Kingdom is a amazing park, unfortunately besides the Avatar themed attraction, the safari and Expedition Everst there are not that many attractions. Some smaller one's. The food was great, with a lot of diversity.
Even was doing sugary on a porcupine had a good time here too
Reached around 8:30 AM
didnt have much wait time for the rides
expedition everest(5 mins), kali river rapids(5 mins FP+)
Lots of areas to explore. Animals and plants in natural looking settings. Don't miss the Avitar ride.
We had a great day. Lines were outrages for the good rides. But lots to see and do outside of that.
Disney is doing a great job at balancing providing a memorable, happy, relaxed experience while also doing the right thing with social distancing, having appropriate mask policy and enforcing that policy.
We enjoyed Pandora - Flights Passage is amazing. The Kilimanjaro Safari is really well done, allowing to see animals in a more open environment than typical zoo enclosures. The Up Bird Show is really well done. Our favorite thrill ride in all of the Disney Parks is Expedition Everest. We did miss the Lion King and Finding Nemo shows though as they are not happening currently.
We have been taking COVID very seriously. I work in healthcare and have seen COVID at its worst. We have been socially isolating and doing virtual school. Our family needed some kind of "break" that was still going to mitigate the risks of contracting COVID. We are glad we chose Disney World!
Animal Kingdom is great!!! I gave it 4 stars because there were quite a few people there not wearing masks or social distancing. And while I know Disney cannot be every where policing they may need to step up on their monitoring of those situations and follow through on escorting the people out who are not following the rules. There is no excuse Disney has signage everywhere and constant announcements.
I'll start off by saying Flight of Passage in the Pandora land is well worth the wait, at least once, if you can't get a fastpass. We watched the movie while waiting. Also the drums show in Pandora is wonderful for everyone, but especially the children when they ask them to join.
If you take the time you will see wonderful performers in each land performing something specific to that culture, but keep in mind it is still a theme park with time limits and generalizations.
If you are interested in hunts, a super big fan of the movie UP , or have little ones there is a Wilderness Explorer scavenger hunt that takes you around the park learning about animals that is free. Also there is one in Africa that you can pay for, it is like $7, but you get a prize at the end.
The Dinoland area is great for kids to blow off steam while climbing up and across rope bridges, sliding down slides, and "digging" for fossils in a covered pit. Beware the carnival area does cost extra, but if you are the only one to play they will take home a gift.
The Animation Experience can be easy to miss because you have to take a train located in Africa call Rafiki's watch(or something like that) to get to it, but it is well worth the mini adventure. Plus there is an animal petting zoo with goats and sheep that little ones will love!
Overall I would say its the most underrated park simply because most don't take the time to ask about the extras things to do, they only focus on the rides.
Only downfall of this park is if it rains you are SOL!! There is little to no place to go to get out of the rain! Even if you do find a place you are huddled so close to everyone that you could hear them whisper. Then almost all the rides are shut down. Rain really does make this park come to a stand still, which is sad considering Florida and Rain go hand n hand.
Amazing place to visit for vacation, usually takes a whole day to do all the attractions. I would HIGHLY SUGGEST to get fast passes for the avatar flight of passage or have one of your group members wait in line for the first part because the standard line usually takes minimum 2 and a half hours in high seasons, but it s worth the wait. Other attractions you must visit are the safari ride, Mount Everest and the gorilla walk.
A good place to get food is by the avatar flight of passage where you can make your own bowl (includes vegetarian options) for around $13-20 for each adult bowl.
It can be expensive but the fee is worth the fun. Happy living!
The best part of DAK is Pandora, from the movie Avatar. Flight of passage is a must ride. I went with grown adults and I feel like I appreciated the Disney parks much more now than I did as a teenager. Disney World isn t just for kids.
I love this park!! Good for the whole family!! Don't forget to visit Pandora!! The most exciting and extreme experience!!!
We had the best date ever unfortunately it rained most of the day but it didn't faze us animal kingdom is awesome the lines weren't terribly long we came here for my daughter's engagement party and we're having so much fun here in Orlando the social distancing is working Disney did a great job making sure we're all safe
It's very overcrowded and 10 minutes after they opened Avatar ride already had 120 minute wait time. You would think with as much money as Disney makes they would find a better way to ease wait times. Animal habitats were empty with no activity. Kind of a let down to be honest. It seems prices keep going up but the quality of the experience keeps going down year after year.
I do wish this park had more rides but the ones they have are definitely enjoyable. Worth spending at least half a day here and I highly recommend taking the time to see this park at night. Pandora especially is a sight to be seen
A great theme park with some amazing rides - the Avatar ride is simply incredible; We had never been on anything like it, and with a height restriction of 44" (112cm) our 4 1/2 year old son was just tall enough to get on with us. The queue for Avatar is insanely long (3+ hours at times!!), so try to book your park tickets early and get a fast-pass+ booked in for it if you can.
The Everest ride is also fantastic, and well worth the queue which isn't nearly as long. The food options around the park are good too, with different areas having themed food selections for Asia, Africa etc. Based on the sections of the park.
The park can get ridiculously busy, especially around Pandora, so avoid weekends if you can, otherwise it's a great park to visit.
It's different. The experience is missing on some rides but then you have a floating band that is really neat. I miss my pin trading but happy to be back in Disney.
Animal Kingdom may have been the best! The pandora ride was the best ride ever. Some people had to fast pass it two months in advance. Seeing the animals on the safari was also super. Had a nice cheese tray at Tiffins to recharge ( they recharged my phone, too).
Theming beyond reality...one of the best parks ever created. Beautiful, authentic and immersive. Joe Rhode and his team of imagineers transport you around the world and to other planets to learn how to save our world through empathy, compassion and conservation. It also has a Starbucks.
I absolutely love this Theme Park. There is so much animal information around you and so much to learn. The staff are super friendly and know a lot about the animals. The animals appear to be well taken care of and sheltered so that way if they want to get away from humans they can't. It's nice seeing Disney support animal conservation.
Great theme park! I went on a field trip 2 months ago. And everything is awesome!
Such a great time, it was wet. Watch the macaws flying as we entered the park!, wwent on the the Safari and the kids were wowed! The Everest ride was phenomenal! My six-year-old daughter was screaming again, again, again! So many options for food as well. Hoping to get back to Disney World sooner, rather than later, and when I do, hope to spend more time here.
A must stay for a unique Disney experience. Fantastic facility with lots of activities for children. Great restaurants and bar. Introduced to African wineries, now in my wine cellar. If that's not enough, the majestic animals are right outside your room window. Your still reading this? Go, make a reservation.
Really this is the best I can do.. It's just a glorified zoo but even more expensive and the only excuse is Disney.. I'd rather contribute to wildlife conservation directly instead of giving Disney a cut
I'm a passholder and I feel safer at Disney during the pandemic than I do at Walmart. Their cleanliness and attention to safety is top notch
Animal Kingdom is my favorite park. You never get the same experience.
Shady and relaxed with lots of enjoyable rides and activities for the whole family.
We got there early and were able to see nearly everything we wanted to. The safari ride was so good we did it twice. This is a great place for all ages and mixed groups. Plus you can get a beer or a glass of wine to go with your lunch!
Like a zoo, but done by Disney. So there's rides along with animals.
This place is fun to be at and because of the canopy, kept cool compared to the other parks. Lines are on average longer however, likely due to the kid friendly nature of almost every ride.
If you love animals and the flavour of Asia and Africa, then this is for you. It's a safari park with excellent rides. The Avatar flight ride is the pick of the bunch, but expect long queues if you haven't got a fast pass. Great day out!
As our family grows Animal kingdom has become our favorite, the safari in the Africa segment is a must, it's a 25 minutes "ride" thru the Savannah.. I can wait until my youngest son is old enough to do the 4 hour version called the trek!
So much to see and do. This was Our absolute favorite of all the parks.
Great park with cool and informative attractions. Definitely worth the trip, and they serve good beer for the adults!
So much to see and do. Galaxy's Edge was Fantastic! Smugglers Run and Oga's Cantina was Fun! Star Tours, Rock roller coaster, and the Star Wars show was all we had time to see. Well worth any wait! Had a Fabulous Day!
Flight of Passage ride in Pandora is absolutely mind blowing! Best ride ever. Expedition Everest is also super fun. Animal Kingdom is definitely my favorite Disney park
What a great park!! Even though it was a grey and overcast day with some bouts of rain we had an amazing day. The Lion King and Nemo shows were soo much fun and entertaining for all age groups in our party. The kilamanjaro safari was also a really fun opportunity to drive out and get really close to some beautiful animals. I've read that you should try to go on this twice during your visit as different animals have different activity levels at different hours of the day...... but we ran out of time with so much to do and see. The tree of life is really well done and it is so much fun to try and identify all the different animal carvings done by the imagineers. Pandora was such a beautiful contrast two our gray and rainy day and give me a like if you wish you could spend a whole day immersed in the amazing colors of the Na'vi River. Look for Disney's most complex and realistic animatronic while there. Even though I didn't go on flight of passage my wife had tears when it was done because it was such a beautiful experience and she didn't want it to end. The whole day was a very Disney Magical day we will cherish.
Best Disney park in the Orlando resort. The park is beautiful with tropical landscaping and hundreds of exotic animals. Highlights include the Kilimanjaro Safari and Expedition Everest. The new Pandora area is amazing, Flight of Passage being the best ride in the park. Na'avi River Journey is a bit disappointing and is not worth more than a 30 minute wait. Prices for food and drink are too expensive but consistent with the other Disney parks. A trip on the bus to Animal Kingdom Lodge for a meal is a great way to break up the day. I enjoyed the nighttime show bit it did get stopped near the end because of a rogue lily pad. Overall a great day out.
Had a great time the 8year old loved the Yetti. Rode it early in the day hours later she begging to go again. Had a great time here probably our favorite stop on this trip!!!
My family had a great time! We were able to ride the Avatar ride with no line since we had "extra magic hours". Get there early and go straight to the Avatar land. The lines filled up really fast.
Flight of passage in Pandora is breathtaking. River journey offers a tamer ride through the Na'avi world. The light show is worth waiting for a beautiful way to finish the day. And definitely don't miss the Safari it's the real reason this park is here in the first place and you can get up close and personal with some amazing African wildlife.
Our favorite of the 4 Disney parks, like a zoo and a theme park combined. It's so beautiful and there is so much to see and do. Even if you don't go on a single ride, the shows, the animals and the scenery are worth the trip. I recommended Satuli Canteen in the Pandora area for lunch or dinner. Food is amazing and quite reasonable for a theme park. Fun for a whole family
This is truly an awesome experience for all Disney fans. There is lots to see and great rides. I recommend going as early as possible the lines for the rides gather quickly. By 12 some of the wait time were at 150 min. Of course it is very family friendly but I saw a lot of very upset little ones that were way to small to even remember Disney World. I highly recommend waiting until your child is at least 5 for them the truly enjoy the experience. It s very hot and a lot of walking and babies 3 and under were crying left and right. So I think it s something to consider.
We also had a delicious lunch there are lots of great restaurants and quick stop locations to grab a yummy snack. It was so exciting and I will definitely be coming back.
FYI - this is a review for magic kingdom not animal kingdom. I realized I selected the wrong location.
Favourite park of all Disney Parks. Beautiful landscaping. Not too busy as Magic Kingdom. Expedition Everest is one of the coolest rides of all!
The live shows were closed due to Covid restrictions. A really pretty park. Missed the live shows though.
This whole Disney experience has been amazing this has been added to our collection of amazing family vacations Patterson family 2019! As an actor I love to travel and this was one of the best trips ever thank you
There were so many reasons to love Animal Kingdom my top three were the Safari, Avatar, and tree of life!
Animals+roller coasters+decor+exotic=spectacular! Loved avatar and expedition Everest! Animals were also fun, and the safari.
By far my favorite park! The Kilimanjaro Safari is so cool! Up close and personal with the animals in their own habitat. If you have issues with being around lots of people, this is way easier than Magic Kingdom. Easier to get around as well.
Super fun place but not much for little kids to do.
It s been long overdue for to me to come back to this park! Too bad covid made them suspended a lot of things :( but regardless, the rides available were still fun. Wish more rides and shows were opened. Covid made it lesser humans but if you aren t okay with having a mask on for 7 hours, just don t go.
Amazing experience. Avatar ride is must. It's a looooong wait but worth it!
One of the best theme parks and definitely underrated. It's really great to just walk around and a lot of great things can get missed if you are just looking for big rides. A few of the bigger ones that I feel really get missed are the trails (Maharajah Jungle Trek and Gorilla Falls?). The animal exhibits are wonderful, and you can almost always find super knowledgeable cast members to pick their brains.
For the kids, definitely check out Rafiki's Planet Watch. So many people will say to avoid it because the train takes a while, but the train is relaxing, and I love the petting zoo (even as an adult).
I also think there's some places hidden in plain site. Walk around the tree of life. There are great exhibits here and some fantastic views of the tree that are awe inspiring. Plus it's usually very quiet. There's a relaxing spot near the exit of Its Tough to be a Bug that has a Lemur exhibit.
Definitely give the park a full chance and take your time to take it all in!
Loved it. Great knowledgeable staff. Kids had a blast
Absolutely amazing. You definitely will want to stay till after dark in the Avatar area. Everything glows. And fast passes for the avatar ride are 2 months or more in advanced.
The Pandora area is amazing! Make sure and see it at night! The rest of the park seems a little outdated and there aren't as many rides, but the animals are fun to see. It's a more relaxed pace than the other Disney parks. The lion king show is great (if the person in front of you isn't wearing mouse ears), the avalanche roller coaster is fun, but noting beats the Pandora ride in all of Disney!
