Love this place amazing atmosphere and good history, really should do ghost nights

Nice little modern bar/pub. Only 1 real ale but well kept and served.

Looks a little tired on the outside but the rooms with breakfast provide a luxurious experience in the centre of Alnwick. Staff very helpful (when we visited they had free tickets available for the Alnwick Gardens) and service was great. Lovely full breakfast.

Very nice place.. loads ov food for the money. Couldn't eat my full meal. Will come again

the food, atmosphere, service are always exceptional, i live around 40 miles away, but its my preferred destination for a meal

Had a lovely family meal, 5 different courses everyone enjoyed. Staff welcoming good atmosphere.

Arrived with our small dog. Asked the young barman where we were allowed to go with him. He didn't seem to know so he asked a female member of staff who couldn't even bring herself to look at us never mind crack a smile. We went on to the roof terrace with was really unloved. Rusty objects which seemed to be a feature along with a few plants and quite a few weeds. Couldn't comment on the food as we were only allowed in the small bar area which seemed to have a distinct lack of seating so no room for us. Not recommended.

Food was ok. Don't think I would go back. Was short changed by the waitress but didn't realise till I left the pub so felt what's the use in going back as cannot prove it! By 10 pounds!!!!! So watch your change!

Great food and nice cocktails but remember to book a table if eating as it's very popular at peak times.

A very unusual pub, the decor is quaint and unusual. If you want to eat you have to wait for them to get you a table. The food was really good, with excellent vegetarian choices. The food is served on aluminium trays, a little unusual but quite ok. We ended up going back a second time and were not disappointed.

Two adults, two children for dinner. The service was attentive and friendly and the food was very good. Indeed, the steak was actually excellent and properly rested. Local beers on draft and tasty desserts. Also great value. Recommend you make a reservation at busy times. They don't appear to have that many covers and we watched many people ask for a table while we were there and be politely refused. A must visit if you are staying over in Alnwick.

Huge portions of food. Reasonable kids menu and Good service. Dealt with a food allergy query without any issues ( I have a nut allergy).

This was a overnight stay and really enjoyed it.Staff were all friendly and rooms clean

Food was nice good choice of burgers wraps and smoked grill, you can order from tables your self on iPad and pour your own beers on table. Recommend to reserve.

Great selection of food for everyone in a really cool restaurant. The internals look rustic and bring lots of character to the dining areas.

The menu has lots to choose from, with plenty for all types of diets, which may be one of the reasons people may miss this out. The vegetarian dish we had at the table looked and tasted fantastic.

Nearly always go to the pub for lunch when in Alnwick, good choice of food very generous portions also tray sharers, quirky deco, curse on anyone who tries to clean the dirty bottles in the window Haha true.

Good food, but I expected more from a BBQ joint. The rooms are amazing as well. Very nice.

Great service, 5-7 some cocktails on buy one get one half price. The food was a little to fried for me, but the chips where the best I have in ages, little roast potatoes in large chip shapes.

Stopped in for lunch after the castle. Tasty paninis!

Recently renovated with interesting history. Novel and fun pour your own drink options. Great drinks on tap and spirit variety. Food was nothing special but similarly not terrible. The self service tablet on your table was in the way of people opposite you disruptive to conversation, the interface was also not great. Personally I'd rather just order to a waiter from the menu.

Had dinner here after visiting Alnwick Castle with my family. I m a vegetarian and found so many good options to goose from here! My daughter did as well. The food is amazing and the portion sizes are very generous. Great atmosphere too.

Excellent pub, food is fantastic and the portion sizes are huge! And if fancy it you can also pull your own pint! Highly recommended.

Went here because it's dog friendly. Lovely staff and the food and cocktails are something different in Alnwick.

Good food , friendly staff & reasonable prices but the seating area needs a shampoo awful stains which were very off putting

Went for lunch with fussy 8 year old food was really good, nice friendly service too. Great kids menu includes ice cream cone at the end which of course was the 8 year olds favourite bit, though he loved his hot dog he even polished off his dad's and he said the chips were the best which is indeed high praise as he never eats chips

Never got in this they always said that they were booked but they never even tried to squeeze us in we found lovely pub nearby who did

This was a lovely wee find whilst wandering round Alnwick today!! The food I must say was absolutely superb along with the service and lovely surroundings. Will definitely make a point of returning

I absolutely love the bottles and is one of the best food establishments in alnwick. I go regularly and have recently been to try the new menu there, which I must say is very delicious as expected. Huge portion sizes, very tasty food and in a very beautiful setting. A must!

Definitely book, amazing food, we had Sunday roast, people on the table next to us had burgers, looked brilliant, very generous portions!!! Staff very helpful as well!!

The room was lovely clean tidy. Good location in Anwick. The bar does get busy.

Really stylish comfortable bedrooms. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Lively pub and bar with good food, burgers steaks, kebab style. Good wines and beers. Stayed for two nights, Really enjoyed it. Good location in the centre of Alnwick.

Great for drinks before food, or for food too if you like a good fill of tex mex meat and side orders. Some of the restaurant tables have beer taps at the table for self-service and the did is tasty and good value. Often come in here just for drinks before (and after) eating elsewhere, but also eat here with friends and would recommend for good value, tasty pub food

Nice place to have dinner with friends. Atmosphere is nice and a nice story to go along with the design. Food was really yummy. Had a steak and it was cooked perfect for me. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Waited long time for food but was worth the wait it was excellent. Waitresses very friendly and efficient. I could see into the kitchen and saw the chefs working very hard in very warm conditions, well done guys.

We went to this great pub today for lunch with another couple, thank god we didn't take any notice of the other review which was really bad.....The food was excellent as well as the service. Please please go there yourself and I'm sure you'll be adding another great review for this great little pub.

Excellent value for money. Food was all very nice, the chicken wings weren't tasty as the other BBQ meats but still nice. Couldn't believe how much food we got for the money
