Bad service. Fish is not in great condition. They'll make you wait and never serve you unless you're of a certain persuasion.

We are Winter Texans and we eat at Dirty Als in McAllen every Sunday after church and we love the 10 count, fried shrimp and french fries. My husband and I spilt as is too much for one person to eat. We always ask for Pete. We cannot get shrimp like this in SD.

Well to start off with and only 2 star's we ordered the Cajun Mixup and I'm not sure how long but somewhere around 15 minutes plus or minus again not sure, the waiter came and told us they were out of that dish as we both ordered the same dish, and asked if we wanted to order something else well I didn't memories the menu in the first reading as the waiter stood there waiting for us to order and I finally asked to see the menu for another meal to order. So we ordered the New Orleans Shrimp as we have had it a few years ago but this time it was left in the bag they cooked it in, very poorly presentation for a dish, all around just didn't feel like the same restaurant that we had been to before. The Shrimp was good and hot just the presentation was way off.

The only good thing about Dirty Al's in McAllen was sharing time with good friends while we waited and waited and waited. We were all overcharged and some didn't get the amount of shrimp they ordered but still charged for. The manager was rude and told us he didn't care. We won't be going back

Very good tasting food. A teeny tiny salty but great. My only disappointment is that they now charge extra for additional dirty al's hot sauce. Not cool. You only get 3 little servings per $50+ botana. Ouch.

Customer service is great the atmosphere was great just the food itself is overrated and overpriced you can get this fish anywhere there was nothing unique about their tartar sauce or any of their food it was just average and small portions I tried multiple things on the menu and nothing stood out the ranch for the salad was not buttermilk which ranch it was like watered down generic ranch the sweet tea was horrible as well

The food is ok. My disappointment was in the fact that they nickle and dime you for everything. $2 to grill, $1.80 to change your side to a salad, $2.50 for bread. No lemon with ice tea or seafood meal. Won't be coming back.

Usually One Of Our Go Too's, When In This Area. This Evening We Entered,& Politely Asked To Be Seated By The Window On The North Side; Where Tables Were Available. Was Told It Depended On The Server. I Taught She Was Joking! Nope, She Took Us To The Very Last Table, Due South. So Of Course We Walked Out. Terrible Service & Attitude!

Clean, good service but the quality of food was horrible. The shrimp cocktail was nasty and the crawfish etoufee was marginal and a very small portion. The chips were very stale and there was no salsa available. I highly recommend the bread putting, it was the only part of the meal I actually enjoyed. The waiter didnt seem to understand English.

This used to be a five star restaurant review. Changing to 1 star for safety reasons. Went to the restaurant with the family a month ago. Wife ordered a fresh whole red snapper. It came out and smelled like really strong urine. We talked to the manager and he actually said, he will have his cooks wash the fish better next time and get my wife another fish. I at that point said i don't think you can wash spoiled fish off fish and we left. My recommendation is, if you want to eat at this restaurant, their are two of them. One restaurant is at south padre island, I've never had problems eating there and the sea food is fresher down there. Don't eat at this one, its gone down hill obviously.

I go almost exclusively for the oyster mondays, and the accompanying happy hour. 50cent oysters, beers less than $2. The golden hours are between 2pm and 7pm, not busy, no rush, kitchen & bar aren't swamped.
