On my flight into town the person sitting next to me recommended this seafood restaurant and told me it was the best seafood in town. She was wrong! I ordered the shrimp special and the shrimp which of course are the main course tasted old and poorly seasoned. It left a terrible taste in my mouth that I can still taste 15 minutes later while writing this review. With all the delicious restaurants in the Rio Grande Valley don't spend your money here because you may be disappointed.

Tried this place for a second time in 2 years. First time food tasted like it was double fried and second time we didn t even get seated. Got skipped twice and when I asked the hostess what happened she only replied with sorry, it s gonna be a 20 minute wait now. Asked to speak to a manager and she said she would clean a table right away and seat us. More than likely will not return to Dirty Al s.

The food here is Awesome! Great ocean decor. Thou need to work on their customer service but other than that I would still keeping visiting! By the way it's open under a new name called Dirty Al's like the one they have at the Island and Yes! The seafood is out of the sea that fresh! Too bad they closed early on weekends! Have a lovely bar!

The food is always good in this place. Unfortunately, the service is slow and if the party is above 7, even slower.
The restaurant is cozy as it is for the family. I recommend it with the family and friends. Not sure if it is for drinks.

My dirty sample platter of shrimp, calamari and onion rings had no flavor. Every thing was Greasy. Overpriced. Long waiting period before food comes out. Not a good dining experience. They overcharged my debit card.

First time here and it was great. Great place clean and social and great service. I added 4 ONLY because the oysters needed to be rinsed better my husband told the guy to rinse them but we still had to use water from our drink to rinse out the sand. But everything else was PERFECT.

Our server was very polite & new the menu well, the food quality is slightly above average & tasted fresh, temperature was ok considering we only ordered apps & fried seafood baskets but service & food orders were extremely slow. My beer was more on the warm side & 2 hrs vested there was way too much time for what we ordered.

Lobster bisque soup was great but for 8.99 a pound for crawfish that was frozen not live I was not impressed when can get live for same price. It wasn't yellow inside it was brown, chewy, and when most of the claws are separated it's because was frozen. Need to state that on menu or lower price. Was a nice atmosphere thought

When this place was suggested, I wasn't pleased but went along. I was pleasantly surprised. The server that we had, Joe, was very helpful & made our visit a delicious one. We told him it was our first time & he told us the most popular items on the menu. We ask a few more questions & decided on the fish/oysters & shrimp/oysters. I loved the fish & shared some of mine & still had plenty. The oysters were delicious & the fries were very good. I walked out full but not feeling miserable. We will go back & next time someone suggests Dirty Al's, I'll say yes please.

I went there about 8:30 pm Friday night. I ordered king crap legs and my wife ordered Cajin Mix place. Mine is ok but my wife Cajin mix is yucky, the crawfish is rotten stinky smell. How come the chef could made the yucky food like that? She then replace the order with blacken red fish dish. The fish come out stinky also, one side well done, the other side is raw. I should come the Cheddar the red fish is taste a lot better and cheaper price. Last time I came here had dinner, then went home with terrible diarrhea, I told myself not gonna back here again. And I made a mistake to came back here on that day.

I've been your customer for a long tine. If you are the owner reading this, you have a serious problem with your cooks. Your recipes is great, but your cooks is terrible, you have a lot of irresponsible person working for u. Take care of your business if you don't wanna loose all yr customers. The time to shut down business is close.
