I have never had a bad meal at the Dinosaur BBQ!

Great place to eat, drink or hang out.

Live music from time to time.

I have been to 5 other branches of the Dino and am never disappointed!

Small place. Food was okay, not great, and pricy. $10- $12 for a sandwich with a side. Seating was wooden booths or tables with wooden chairs.

Must visit restaurant in Syracuse. Everything is great.

There is nothing bad to say about the food, except for I wish it was healthier. The atmosphere is great. The only down side is that the wait can be very long both during peak hours and on non-peak hours. I minimum will wait an hour to be able to eat here. It would be awesome if they expanded!

It was very clean despite being made to look run down. Beef brisket was awesome. Ribs were good. Pulled pork just okay. Staff was super friendly and attentive. When we were there it wasn't that busy, so it was really nice to be able to park close by.

Good food, wait time was surprisingly short. Three friends with me were newbies to the Bar-B-Que, they are know converts. I only have to visit Buffalo now to have been to all four locations.

Female Bartenders spend too much time entertaining the boys for tips, and many Customers have to WAIT

This place came highly recommended and they didn't disappoint. Incredible friendly service, delicious food.

Legendary sauce makers make damn good Q. Wings with the fire sauce are so good.

Didn't expect the food to be so good. We were passing through Syracuse and saw great trip advisor reviews. Decided to give it a try. What a surprise to find the best bbq ever! We had wings with Korean sauce, samplers and tomato basil soup with baked acorn squash. ALL was great. We ended up buying their sauces to go.
Live music on a Tuesday made it even more special. Will definitely come back

So I have not been to Dinosaurs in probably close to 10 years and considering I was like 10 and probably ate a French fry I cannot tell you if it has changed much besides the fact that there isn't any dinosaurs anymore and that kinda sucked. The parking is kind of a pain. But once you get into the restaurant it has an authentic feel. We were sat immediately, and were served within 5 minutes. Service was fast. Food came withing 15 minutes of ordering. Very excellent food. Very hospitable wait staff. I ordered mashed potatoes as my side and was told they ran out but would bring me some if they were made. I replaced the taters with Cole slaw, which I didn't like. My waitress then brought me extra Mac n cheese to go. And then as I was leaving brought me mashed potatoes to go. Was very pleased! A must go!

This place is a landmark. I've been going to Dino since I was a kid and the food has always been amazing. From the pulled pork to the macaroni and cheese, everything is phenomenal. Even the main sauce (sensuous slathering) is amazing in anything from hot dogs to steak. But the elephant in the room: how are their ribs. Well, after winning national taste contests I'm not sure I can add a lot to the story but I will say that if you like ribs, this is your mecca. Slow cooked for HOURS and typically fall off the bone, the meat is outstanding. It will leave you wishing you could be rolled out through the door so you could eat as much as you want. And I haven't even gotten around to the usually talented live music they have during each week... just go. Trust me.. hour wait? That's fine, it's worth the wait. Get something to drink at the bar and relax, your perfect ribs are coming.....

Best place in The Western Hemisphere to chow down on succulent dinosaur meats. I had the smoked raptor loin with a bucket of salamander eggs on the side. It was a one way ticket to flavor country that I will never return from and if you challenge my authority I will crush you and take what is rightfully mine. The bathroom has plenty of space to pull out your teeth if you think the FBI is tracking your thoughts.

Don't even waste your time going to this place. For the price you pay for your meals, you would expect a better portion to fit the price. The flavor of the bbq is good, but the place is too expensive to be dishing out small portions that my two year old could eat. This was our third time trying this place and we will not be returning. When you order an entree you expect it to not look like an appetizer while paying entree prices. Try Limp Lizard or Wings Over Syracuse.

order 2 combitation platers..i order dble brisket and mac and cheese with bbq beans...the only good thing was the beans ..my brisket was mostly fat and the mac and cheese looked like some just threw cheese on macaronni...spent 50 and only ate bbq beans..my husbands food was ok...his brisket was fatty to...wont be ordering again

The ribs are "fall off the bone" good. The sides and cornbread were excellent as well.

Enjoy dinner out with Family. 1st time there and something was dripping from ceiling on me. Had to be move. Not fond of Nacho platter. Said feeds three. They haven't met us before. Meal was hot and chicken sandwich was delicious. They were very gracious and adjusted our bill for 2 mishaps.

good waitress very pleasant. Food was good except she messed up 1 side and gave me mac salad not the mac and cheese I ordered. The mack and cheese was spicy I think Cajun maybe very over powering and my girlfriend agreed. We took few bites and that was it for us to spicy. No police presence in area hear unsafe but nothing to do with rating. I think even a security guard at the door would make customers feel safer and I think the staff especially females would appreciate it as well considering u do serve alcohol i believe. Other than that thank u much I appreciate it i leave u thinks to grow on in future Goodluck

My favorite restaurant in Syracuse. I've been here every time I'm around. Yeah, there's always a waiting list, but hey, just grab a beer - short craft beer list, but all good stuff - or a cocktail - the mojitos are absolutely fabulous, believe it or not.
The divey, punk rockish decor won't please everyone, but I love it.
Service was lightning fast and friendly.
I'm not a BBQ hipster, I just like it. And everything I've had here is excellent. Ribs, brisket, chicken, you name it. The sides from this visit were better than what I remembered them to be, especially the mac and cheese. The chili was delicious. I really enjoyed the sauces too. We walked outta here stuffed to the gills, and loved everything.

One of the best BBQ places I've ever been too. Being from Detroit area, I can't get there often (3x), but I still order my rubs and sauce on-line. Atmosphere is great, and staff has always been friendly.

Never disappoints! Whether in Rochester, Syracuse or Buffalo, if you're looking for exceptional barbeque, this is your spot. Every meat is prepared to perfection and the sides are a meal of their own. The atmosphere in each place is unique with live jazz offered at most spots. The lunch specials are fantastic if you're looking for exceptional sandwiches with barbeques meat. Pro-tip: This place is not for vegetarians, you will find something to eat but it is really intended for those looking for a very specific meat oriented experience. We stop in every time we are in Syracuse!

Went for the first time to Dinosaur Bar-b-que. Not only the prices are really affordable but they have their own beers what actually are really good. Ordered bbq brisket original sandwich and chicken deluxe jerk and pulled. Really good.

Well worth the 3.5 hour drive. Fantastic service and food was awesome. Love the aesthetic of the place, too! Just an all-around awesome place.

Dinosaur barbecue by far is my favorite rib joint. Anything you get here is delicious. My favorites are brisket sandwich and chicken wings. Love the atmosphere here!

This Bar-B-Q is the best. There is a place in Ossipee NH that is great but the Dino atmosphere beats all. There are a couple places down south...way down south that are terrific! . The music playing in the background is great! TG no rap. Also the place has great music acts on weekends. Love it! Will be back. Cheaper to fly into Syracuse than Buffalo.

The wait can be insane but often worth it! My personal favorite off the menu is the brisket plate with Mac&cheese and coleslaw. The swag sample is a must! From the sampler: fried green tomatoes are amazing and if you want to try something different, dip the shrimp in the blue cheese that comes for the wings.

We tried to place an order for 4 people but the girl who took our order was extremely rude and short while we were looking at our menu considering what we wanted to order. I understand food service can be frustrating, but I don't appreciate poor customer service for absolutely no reason other than my friends needing a second to think. I would advise anybody considering an order from Dinosaur to think quickly, and react immediately, otherwise respect will be thrown out the door.

Been to the branches in Troy and Bklyn.This one is waaaaay better. The food is too notch with alot of sea food options which were delicious.Do make sure to try all their sauces! Great service even though it's usually crowded. The vibe is country meets biker bar and the live music is along that lines.Very cool, old school Americana Lana del rey music video vibes lol

Very good food, handled crowds well and accurately estimated the wait time for our group of 8. Ribs were tasty but we voted beef brisket as best in class.

Great BBQ, not too spicy, but full flavored. Think of this as a reformed biker bar. One of my favorites in Syracuse.

What a great place. Food was excellent, service was spot on and very direct. No BS here the take it or leave it attitude was fun. Great to hear about the rebound this company is making. Hopefully they are around for a long time as others deserve to visit too. Highly recommended to all friends while in Syracuse.

Delicious ribs. Sides were OK. Did take out and got less food than expected for $90. Though they do have a good selection of beers on tap to enjoy while waiting for your order. Loved the ribs !!!! Zest - spice up the sides for me.

I try and go to the dinosaur every time I am in town. Wings and brisket were 5 stars. The "hot" link sausage was a one star. Still worth the effort...

Customer service was great and the food was quick. I got a pulled chicken bbq salad but there wasn t much lettuce, more beans and rice so I was a little disappointed in the lettuce part BUT it was good.

Great food! Happened to be live music the night I went. I was in town for a work event, staying nearby and decided to try them out after hearing about them during my previous trip to Syracuse! Expect a little wait, I've heard they are always slammed. Pic isn't the best, light is minimal in some parts of the building.

Great ordering system. The girl on the phone was friendly. They have a revised menu but still offers all the favorites. I was bummed we called too late to enjoy the brisket but that's not their fault they sold out.

1/2 bbq chicken was served room temperature. Meat didn't want to come off the bone. A gnarly mess. Sassy waitress unapproachable. Baked beans were good. But, about 2 tablespoons served. Coleslaw delicious. Not inexpensive. Left hungry. Kitchen staff needs to be reminded that all food served needs to be special!

The food was pretty good. I think I had the BBQ combo plate. I loved the fact that they had live music and a singer. It was very entertaining. I met a couple of nice people at the bar. Overall it is good experience. Would definitely return if ever in the area again.

Traveling thru and based on reviews had to stop. The Bar-B-Q here is top notch, best I have had North of the Mason Dixon line. Perfectly tender and smoked and worth the stop.

It is definitely a must go to place food was great service was excellent such a great atmosphere could not be more pleased it was well worth our time we will definitely be back thank you to the staff you guys do a great job I highly recommend the brisket

There is nothing bad here. Drinks and beer, and a long list of great barbeque. May I suggest you get the appetizer sampler. And trust me get the biggest size one because everyone will want to share. Then get the same for your entree. Get the biggest plate with the best assortment. There is nothing bad. Brisket, chicken, pork, sausage, even the spices are awesome. Come hungry because you will never leave that way!

Food was great wait staff was excellent, only reason not 5stars food is so good it was crowded

The brisket was great but the ribs were charred. My food was supposed to come with cornbread but it wasn't ready so I got it at the end of the meal. The coleslaw was ok but the mashed was much better. Overpriced for what it is.
