I have a relative who works in the dietary department. When he/she got hired. They received THE poorest training ever. Their "trainer" would come late, ignore them, and team up with the other kitchen aides to pick with them. Another one of the kitchen staff memebers that worked there and picked on them quit, and was able to come back, go to the kitchen, and STILL pick on the new employee and get all the others to tag along. My relative told the kitchen manager. They did nothing!! They even told the HR. Still no peace in the work place for them!! Ive worked there 3 years ago and had the same problem! Theyve treated my great grandmother who passed a month before she left there with major neglect! They need to hire a more positive and hardworking staff, to make it safe for not only our residents there but employees too! I will keep on giving these reviews and report until i know things have changed! Get it together!!

Direct care staff were great, therapy staff as well. As we are preparing to take mom to surgery this morning we find out it was cancelled because a routine procedure mandated by the urologist was not even responded to. A week and a half went by, and after multiple attempts by the urologist to get a response, nothing. Even after getting in contact with Dimondale, they have yet to provide the information. The nursing administrator I spoke with could not have been more indifferent to the situation. Your loved one will get great care from the hourly staff, but my experience tells me the administrators are not fully capable of handling routine matters, which puts people at risk.

****Updated 5/10/19****
Yesterday I got a message from Dimondale informing me that the information my mothers urologist requested 4/18/19 was sent over 5/9/19 (for a surgery scheduled 5/1/19), and to let them know if there was anything else they could do for us. She has never apologized, and speaks in passive aggressive ways that magnify her indifference. Mom and I had a good laugh about it at the urologist later that day with the people who were hounding Dimondale Nursing Care for the information.

To top it all off, I just received a notice from my mothers pulmonary specialist that an appointment scheduled by Dimondale Nursing Care was missed May 7th. We were never told about this appointment. At this point I feel it is intentional.

****Updated 6/18/19****
Mom now has MRSA, a bad infection. No surgery scheduled.

Fir st they refuse my going down my mothers corridor thence i am not allowed in the room and then it got worse, they told me i could see my mother for 3 hrs and when i stayed longer Lori physically grabbed my mother's wheelchair and told her she was tired even though it was 3pm.I recomend that this place be cleared out the upper levels that is.The first time i called there the manager by the name of Jenniffer baldly said to me that i had no rights as i did not have power of attorney that is no right to know how my mother is is doing or how well.

These lupas should be fired the staff are mostly wonderful but you can tell underpaid and overwhelmed not enough people per patient ratio a lot of patientsare left alone whilst these women waste their time figuring out how long i have been there, if a volunteer offered me a ride etc.
The place is as bad as you have heard if you bother to ask around.

My dad was there two years ago. The care giving staff during the day and therapy staff were great. However when the day shift went home look out. It was hard to find a worker. The only time the RN left her desk was when she was passing meds. Other than that she sat.
Food was COLD right from the chafing dish. I know I was there. My dad was lucky he was in the rehab wing. The other wings not so lucky. Workers standing around while call lights were not answered.
I filled out complaint forms weekly. If you dislike your family member, send them here.
I had to give them a star, wanted to give them none.

If you re looking at the reviews to see if this is a good place to send someone you know, it s not. The residents at this facility don t have rights, residents are physically moved from something they were doing and forced into the shower after they refused. The 3rd shift crew don t do their jobs they neglect the residents by not changing them and letting them sleep in a bed full of urine. They don t empty catheter bags they let them get full to the point they start leaking . They don t report abuse to the state even though they re supposed to . If you are looking at the reviews to see if this is a good place to work it s not . The aides aren t paid enough for the work that they do , and you ll be harassed by the DON until you get fired even if you did nothing wrong . I m a previous employee here so I know .

I personally do not care for this nursing home. When my loved one was admitted they had nothing ready for her, no oxygen, her medications were not called in even though she went from the hospital to the nursing home. When she finally was settled she had no one checking on her. When we went to visit she was completely purple (lack of oxygen) if we wouldn't of showed up who knows what would of happened. The only reason why we are keeping her in this place is because of insurance, every nursing home close to us is completely filled, and now that we know how this place is running we check on her on a regularly basises. Most days our family takes turns going to the home. Which I'm thankful that we have family and friends willing to spend their personal time there. At this point we are waiting for the doctor and insurance company (for home care) to give us the green light so she can come home with her family.

Negative attitude with staff, feces found in room when checking my Grandmother in. They ignored my input on her special medical diet. Memory care is a sad place-don't use unless absolutely necessary. My grandmother's "emergency" button push got a 3-5 minute wait until there was any response.

WORSE NURSING HOME YOU COULD SEND ANYONE TO, THE AIDES ON 3RD SHIFT DO NOT DO THEIR JOB. MY GRANDMA CALLS AND COMPLAINS TO ME ALL THE TIME THAT THEY NEVER GET HER UP ON TIME AND THAT SHE ALWAYS HAS TO WAIT 5+ MINUTES TO GO TO THE BATHROOM AND AT THAT POINT SHE IS INCONTINENT. I HAVE SPOKEN TO THE SEVERAL NURSES AND THE DON ABOUT THE ISSUE AND NOTHING IS EVER DONE. I'M ONLY RATING THIS PLACE A 1 STAR BECAUSE I CAN'T GIVE IT 0. THE HIGHER UPS THERE ARE NO HELP AND COMPLETELY RUDE TO FAMILY AND RESIDENTS WHEN THEY TALK TO THEM.

The only issue, which turned out to be major, is the nurse told the director that my son's IV PICC line had been removed prior to his discharge, and it wasn't. She told me it was taken out. I had to tell her it WAS NOT. The lack of communication between the director and the staff borders on unethical and is at the least unprofessional. It should have been removed properly at the nursing home prior to discharge.

My brother had a stroke and they only had eight weeks to get him ready to move to my home. The therapy department, social worker, and staff took excellent care of him. My family is so very pleased. Thank you for your hard work and compassion.

This place is horrible. My Grandmother is not getting the appropriate she deserves or needs at this facility. She has not ate In a while, has had a fever with low oxygen saturation but has not been sent to the ER for none of the issues. On top of that they have not tried getting a feeding tube placed to keep up with proper nutrition. Seems like they need to return to Nursing school and take the NCLEX again.

The aides, nurses, and therapy department are amazing. With the facility having consistent staff scheduled units it allows the staff to personally get to know their residents, monitor them closely and form a bond. When looking for facility placement Continuity of care was our number one goal. Dimondale Nursing Care Center surpassed our expectations. Their staff to resident ratio was amazing, and you can't beat a private room and bathroom. I would recommend this facility to anyone who is looking for rehab, long-term and dementia care.

My experience working for Dimondale Nursing Care C...

My experience working for Dimondale Nursing Care Center has been a positive one. There is a great team atmosphere here and management seems to really care about the employees and the patients. In reading the reviews it is apparent that bad reviews are a result of unmet expectations. These expectations may or may not be reasonable depending on each circumstance. Either way communication is the key. Dimondale Nursing Care Center takes each concern very seriously and will work to resolve each issue placing the need of the patient as top priority.
