On tv commercials it portrays a nice, happy, clean and vibrant place. I went yesterday for the first time and was disappointed. The rooms are small and doubled up. The atmosphere is dark, misty and smelly. They have a calendar with daily events, but I didn't witness anything. I went to see morningside and so compared it to that rehab and must say that Morningside is where I am wanting my dad to end up at. Kings Harbor has alot of maintenance to work on. It's bad enough the patients feel sick and to have them in that type of environment is sad. I'm counting down the days to transfer my dad out. The faculty seems nice, but the security is snobish. My dad ended up here because the papers didn't go through our other choices fast enough, but the transfer is in the plan this coming week.

My mother (CC) is now residing there. The staff is very caring and very understanding. Seeing how I am living states away; I have yet to learn more about the facility. Thank you for all you do.

Amazing place...they really care about their seniors. Staff is amazing.

I went here for an Ear Appt. for one of my Relatives. The Ear Dr. was nice and explained what was going on about how important the Hearing is and how it affects Older People, but this place is far.

I am blessed to be working at kings harbor for almost 26 years.the staff work very hard to provide quality care for our residents each and everyday.placing a loved one into a nursing home is never an easy decision to make.so of course we only want the best care for their family member.our recreation dept. Provide such warmth to residents.what a blessing that i get to work everyday with such amazing people.not just the residents but their families and staff.

My mother was admitted to Kings Harbor with diagnosis CVA. When she came in she was unable to walk, eat on her own and take care of her self. The team of professionals at Kings Harbor gave her hope and care that she needed. She was discharged after a month of intense therapy. She walked out of Kings Harbor with a cane her improvement was outstanding. Thank you for everything you did for my mother!

My Grandmother was there a few years ago, fell off the bed, no one stepped up to tell us what happened, was in a coma for 5 years and we had to let her go. I am appalled at this place and the people that work here. This place lost my grandmothers paperwork when we wanted to pursue something, because NOOOOOOOOOOOOO ONE should be treated with negligence. I am still sick and I needed to let everyone know that this place should be closed. People should not expect the worst when their loved ones are here. This place gets no starts, I need to put a star to post. I am telling you, do not place you loved ones here.

The worst place to send anyone. The staff on four East does not care for their patients at all. They let patents sit in wheel chairs all day, then they sit in the lounge all day, no nurse is watching them at all. There are no doctors looking in on the patients. This place should be investigated.

I was there a while back for rehab and I loved it the nurses are great and the system is pretty good if I have to go back to a rehab center I would go there

The food be given to the patients cold.when ask to heat up the the staff have an issue.All of the cna's doing their job very poorly. I would recommend dhec to come and do an evaluation.

Cna rude to patient...on a visit i witnessed cna speaking in a disrespectful manner to patient.all that was left for patient to cry...patient is at mercy of cna's..when they are having bad day.

Friendly, attentive, caring. Doctors from Montefiore actually follow up with their patients here.

Very safe and professional environment for loved ones and as an employee

I would NEVER want to be a patient There again. Some of The nursing attendance are a nightmare and the Nurses giving medications made more errors then can be imaged. The rooms are cold and the bathrooms are cleaned once a day. This is not the place to put a loved one in.

Really wish I can give this place 0 stars. My aunt died of stage 4 lung cancer back in February and the nursing staff did ABSOLUTELY nothing to keep her comfortable. She wasn t being fed or hydrated properly which led to her bed sore on her sacrum..not to mention, she wasn t being turned and positioned. She could barely walk herself to the bathroom one day and ended up falling. NO ONE came to her aid after minutes of ringing the call bell. A family member of another resident assisted her off the floor. SMH!

I am a nurse myself with 6 years past experience in a nursing home, so I know exactly what goes on in these places when it comes down to residents and how they are supposed to be treated and cared for. Nasty demeanors from some of the nursing staff. I was appalled. My aunt was a nurse herself some years ago and you would think they d show a little more respect. NOPE!

Shame on you King s Harbor.

my grandma has been here for 5 yrs it was very hared decision for my family and i to make the to put her in a nursing home. The staff helped us understated that my grandma was in the good hands and they will take very good care of her. We always have there love and support there more then willing to help us in what ever we need. My grandma and I are very happy and thankful for everything.

Brand new beds,dressers, closest.
Good food. Would recommend kings harbor to anyone.

I wish i can give this place 0 stars...because this place is a DISASTER! My 94 year old grandmother landed here in the nursing home facility and it is a DUMP!!! They treat the patients terrible without any proper care or anything. I AM DISCUSTED WITH THIS PLACE SHUT IT DOWN IMMEDIATELY!

I would like to thank the entire staff of Kings harbor for taking care of me.I had a total knee replacement and stayed here for physical therapy for ten days.Everyone went out of their way to make my stay comfortable.I will definitely recommend them to friends and family.Stay safe and keep up the good work.

My mother in law, has been at Kings Harbor since January 2, 2020. She fell and fractured her hip.

From the minute she was admitted, her care was outstanding. Each staff member, from the Doctor and nurses, to the CNA's, have treated her with such respect, compassion and professionalism. The nurses responsible for distributing her meds do so on time!! Her meals are delivered on time, hot and very pleasing to not only the eyes but taste as well!

Her rehabilitation therapy, (both Physical and Occupational) has been amazing. When she first arrived here, she was in so much pain, you couldn't even touch her. It took 2 CNA's to just get her out of bed and that was with the help of a mechanical "lift". Now, she is able to get out of bed on her own, with the help of a walker and "supervision", but almost no pain. She is walking with the aid of a walker, and is getting stronger each day.

Overall, we are extremely pleased with the care she has received, and would highly recommend Kings Harbor to anyone looking for quality rehabilitation/nursing care.

Cheap , but giving very old people necessary care and safety

Above average nursing home. Good nursing staff. Good recreation staffs. One separate unit for Indian resident is a new and exciting idea and the music, decor, recreation are really well in that specific unit. Short term rehab is also very professional and above average.

500 hundred a day they charging by aunt who insurance ran out

This is a horrible place, when I went to visit my grandmother I found her dirty, sleeping on the matress with no bed sheets. She smell like she had not bathed in weeks. I am can't believe how un compassionate and unresponsible the staff is. Her room was dirty. Kings harbor care center is the worse nursing home I've ever seen!

The nurses are kind and the person I was visiting really praised them for their care.

My late mother spent some time getting therapy here, but didn't like it.

A little upset at your commercial. A lot of people in the commercial haven't work there for some time, yet many familiar faces that have been there for years were not included. Please address this.

My mom (R. A, Kings Harbor client from June to August, 2016) and our family received exceptional care and we are very happy. I have worked in healthcare for 24 years and glad to say that
"Kings harbor provides exceptional services with great care and dedication to its clients".

We were reluctant to come to Kings Harbor because we had another highly recommended place in mind. However we have come to realize that this was Gods choice and the best for mom. As we all know ..."mom always deserves the best"... she left Kings Harbor happy, doing things with speed that we did not anticipate and grateful for the excellent rehabilitation that she received.

The teams were superb: nursing team, social services and physical therapy team.

We wish to commend Godwin Eze (physical therapist) for his dedication, care and the way he carried out the physical therapy sessions.
Because of Godwin, and the physical therapy staff, our experience and view of Kings Harbor changed from guarded to phenomenal. We are grateful for his kind personality, compassionate care and professionalism. He's an excellent professional. Melinda (physical therapist) was also amazing...

This place killed my mother in law! Don t send your loved ones there. They will die!

The staff are group of people to work with.
They care about their patients and family members.

Second visit. Seem ok. We'll see what happens in the coming days.

I was a patient back in August of 2019. My experience was so nice and comfortable. The nursing staff and CNA'S were so good to me. They went far and behind to make me as comfortable as possible. The Physical Therapists and the Occupational therapists were top notch. They helped me pull through at my stay. Thank you for having such a great staff
