Wonderful zoo! It is quite big, has two really nice souvenir shops and you need all the day to see it. I look forward to return this weekend!

Much more beautiful than the Amsterdam Zoo, then many more animals and a tropical biosphere with many beautiful animals ...

I do not know what it is with this zoo. every time I come there it seems a bit less. the park is always in renovation, never seems to be finished. when animals disappear, no new ones seem to take its place. I will not renew my subscription this year

Nice zoo in the heart of Rotterdam! Beautifully extended

Food is limited. We didn't even find French fries. And some of the areas of the animals are very small (like the gorilla) that is very sad

The zoo is amazing and beautiful! We enjoyed it very much. Although, I wish that there was an English version of the information of the animals. I really wanted to know what type of animals I'm looking at. But sadly couldn't.

Diergaarde Blijdorp is always on the move. They are always working to improve the zoo, which makes it a surprise to go there every time. A subscription is definitely recommended, making it even more fun to go and to go for a while. This way you see the animals in a different way every time. Highly recommended!

very nice park. easily accessible by train. Together with my wife and 2 children aged 6 had a lot of fun.

Amazing place, all continents well portraied. You need to take a full day to see everything and enjoy the place.
One thing I would have enjoyed more - a richer description of the animals.
Very child friendly place.
On the downside, options in terms of food are a bit limited and overall food and drinka are a little expensive.

I can't recommend it in February cause it was cold and some animals was not there or hide in the warm inside. But beside that I liked the experience

Blijdorp is a very nice zoo where the animals seem to have a good life. It is a park with continents and every continent is faithfully decorated in terms of flora and climate. Surprisingly fun!

Great zoo very unfortunate that there was now a lot closed and many stays were empty

Very nice and interesting place, where the visitors can see the animals in their almost natural surroundings. It is very much child friendly and stroller accessible, with lots of stations for rest. Multimedia features are present in between the sections. There is a great parking lot in front of the zoo. Nice and clean restrooms everywhere. Well spent day here.

Easily accessible by O.V and many parking places. Beautifully maintained zoo, the animals have enough freedom of movement.

If you do not live too far away, an annual pass is a good option, with many benefits including discount on parking.

This is a zoo like no other.
What fascinates me most are the themes that are held throughout the year.
Be yourself subscriber so am happy with every new thing.
Blijdorp keep it up and I will keep coming.

Beautifully laid out zoo that is unfortunately a bit old and also looks a bit neglected, I don't know whether it is due to the age.
Quite full despite Covid-19, it feels like no thought is wasted on the current situation and with the narrow on the paths I think that's so good.
Animals sometimes seem absent, but unfortunately that is probably the case in every zoo where animals are kept, cannot be prevented.
The real highlight, the Ozeanium, was beautiful but it was so on the requirement to be quiet that we only went through it briefly and got out quickly. The zoo MUST take action, it's louder there than in a stadium.
The biodiversity and the beautifully landscaped enclosures and paths are positive!
And you definitely have to spend a whole day there to see everything, it's that big.

Een mooie dierentuin en met Rotterdampas slechts 37,50 per jaar.

Twee minpunten:

1)Jammer dat er overdag nauwelijks personeel rondloopt om vragen aan te stellen; ook de internetsite kan nu niet eenmaal alles beantwoorden en is m.i. lang niet altijd up to date.



Pluspunten:

Er wordt veel nieuwbouw gepleegd en de leeuwen zijn er gigantisch op vooruitgegaan vergeleken met het aftandse verblijf waar zij vroeger zaten; er zijn nu ook vier bomen omwikkeld met touw zodat zij als krabpaal kunnen fungeren en er zijn aardig wat bomen om tegenaan te schurken.

Ook het parkachtige tijgerverblijf waar Alia en Emas verblijven mag gerust een pronkstukje genoemd worden.

Dit geldt eveneens voor het nieuwe verblijf van de rode pandaatjes (tot teleurstelling van sommigen geen familie van de grote zwartwitte panda's maar wel erg leuk om te zien); zij hebben zeker wel vijf keer zo veel ruimte als in het oude verblijf tegenover de poffertjeskraam.

De vrijevluchtvoorstelling die in het zomerseizoen meerdere keren per dag is te bewonderen in de buurt van het poolvossen- en ijsberenverblijf aan de kant van het Oceanium is een regelrechte aanrader!!

Very nice zoo, but on the pricey side. Spent 80 euros with the family! Then there are also the parking costs and something to eat and drink. Had to laugh at a few little kids who found the uninvited fluttering herons more interesting than raptor-looking raptors.

The zoo is very large and separated into 5 zones according to the continents. The animals have more space than in the majority of the zoo and are well arranged. Only downside: the price but we have nothing for nothing ...

Very large zoo with well-kept animals. Especially the indoor Oceaneum is ideal with bad weather.

It remains just a nice zoo. New things every time. So there is certainly no downtime.

Fine zoo, always busy with new and challenging projects to constantly renew the zoo, and to make it better for the animals.
We have a subscription and come there super often, even if it's just an hour in the afternoon from school to play equally well!

I have been coming to Diergaarde Blijdorp from an early age. Watching animals remains the best there is ....! Animals never do the same.

The expansions at Blijdorp Zoo in recent years are also a relief and are actually adding something.

A huge Zoo in Rotterdam. We have a fantastic time and animals lok very happy in this zoo

Quite an interesting zoo, but in the reviews is greatly overrated, probably because of this impression of the visit - the average. The animals are not cleaned enough, respectively, a lot of space with an unbearable smell.

Very large park. The animals can sometimes hide, so there is also the tranquility of the animals.
