So much to do here. You could spend two days to do it all justice.

Worth bringing a picnic and spending the whole day here. We visited with two toddlers in October 2017 when the zoo was celebrating its birthday and so there were discounted entry deals.

We did about 50% of the zoo, and what we saw was fun, engaging and memorable. Parking was easy, but many locals had also cycled there. There are no pay machines I the car parks, your zio entry ticket will get you out if you remember to tell the staff to activate it.

The underground polar bear gallery was amazing and unexpected. As were the undersea tunnels, though they were busy. We saw giraffes, elephants and zebras in great habitats and the kids enjoyed hoe close you got to the crocodiles.

Potentially pricey but we'll worth it if you pack a picnic and make a full day of it.

Nice zoo. There are many different animals that live in a well-copied natural habitat. It remains a bit pathetic but Blijdorp provides enough space and a natural environment for the animals

Tip: book a tour for 3.95 pp. and a volunteer tells you the most unusual beast stories of rhinos, elephants and penguins. The money goes to animal sanctuaries in Africa and Asia.

After having been to Blijdorp Zoo for a long time: it remains a very nice zoo that has undergone major renovation in recent years. Walked wonderfully and watched animals in the playful and surprisingly set up 'continents'.

Was fun

What a beautifully landscaped zoo.It was very hot but by all trees and bushes it was particularly pleasant walking. Nice and cool. And a beautiful collection of animals that have a lot of space. Everywhere benches. Restoration everywhere. Top zoo.

It's a nice zoo with cute animals and good food. I believe there are free maps but we couldn't get one because we were there for a school assignment. There are wheelchairs you can rent and it's very accessible.

Just the day in Blijdorp again with my sons and nephews. Always stays beautiful. The animals are well cared for and the park too. It is neat and clean and is constantly renewed. Often (again now) there are volunteers to explain certain things extra with extra material. With angelic patience because my oldest can ask quite tricky questions.
We have seen the young lions well.

In the middle of the city. The train cuts right through it. But there are so many beasts! Prairie dogs are so close that they challenge to pet. Just to bite you then. Unfortunately we didn't see Bokito, but that didn't make the day any less.

Blijdorp is spacious and relatively good for the animals as far as I can judge as a layman. There are zoos where, especially the larger animals, have more living space, though. Blijdorp also puts a lot of money into nature and animal conservation worldwide, which I really appreciate. There is much to see for the visitor, for young and old! The aquarium is also unique of its kind, recommended!

I have been there twice already and it is really beautiful. Beautiful oceanium, but always very busy. I also loved the butterfly paradise. Highly recommended. Take food and drinks with you. The tickets are expensive, just like parking costs.

Nice zoo! In addition to the classic animals, also some that you don't often see, such as a couple of polar bears! The animals also seem to have a good time here! And of course a visit to the hero of the zoo Bokito cannot be missed!

Nice zoo. I've been coming here since I was 5, but even though it's called 'Blijdorp', the prices on the menu don't really make us happy. 2.30 for 4 chicken nuggets? I had better eat at the McDonalds before I came here

Really classic city zoo with a lot of animal species that you rarely see. Puffins and geleds are new acquisitions. The newer stays are spacious and attractively designed. An animal zoo to come back often. The old Rivierahal has a large indoor playground.
