I didn't realize it had become an attraction park. But tastes differ.

Great new concept, close to the animals great discovery through "hidden" paths. Looking around me only seeing happy and active children and elderly people who talk a lot about letting go of the old zoo. I saw that the majority of the reviews were negative reviews of 2016 when it just opened, but everything is now covered, the signage and new attractions have apparently done well. We have a great time between 10:00 and 18:00.

I like this zoo very much. Maybe it is not the best in the world but it is very good one.

Wij hebben het heel goed naar ons zin gehad. De eerdere negatieve recensies begrijpen wij niet helemaal: Wildlands heeft enorm haar best gedaan om er een prachtig park van te maken. En dat is gelukt! Het heeft wel wat weg van Animal Kingdom in Disneyworld, Florida. Alles is prachtig gebouwd! De entreeprijs is niet meer dan logisch: er loopt veel personeel, het park is mooi gebouwd, en..... de dieren hebben eten nodig.
Het is een echte aanrader!

Mooi decor, weinig dieren. De attracties van de savanne en de jungle zijn het wachten niet waard. Te duur voor wat er geboden wordt.

Super fun theme / animal park. The kids really like that there was rollercoaster nice boat ride through the park a train through giraffe elephants and more animals. And there is a simulator that is also very nice.

Beautiful ZoO entrance fee is certainly justified but the 10 euro parking fee as visitors we found a bit steep.

It's a newly build zoo to replace their old location, and if you've never been to one or don't have high expectations you'll have fun. But it feels a bit too artificial, empty and hollow if you pay attention. Exhibits only have one or two animals that belong in a herd in a massive space (the zebra's and giraffes), other animals have small spaces that you would expect to be larger (the lions, for instance), they focussed on the themepark attractions a bit too much instead of the animals, and parking is very expensive. Not enough toilets either, you'll spend ages queuing.

Beautifully beautiful park, super enjoyed and frankly I do not understand the criticism that is given about the park.
The fact is that you can never please everyone, and you have people who complain about everything and come across some names over and over again. I now call that a boring life, complaining about everything, everything is too expensive .... wonder why do you still visit zoos, amusement parks and the like

It is a beautiful park, many play areas for the little ones. But think the entrance is quite pricey. It was not that busy when we were there, there was no long queue for boats and 4d for safari ride

Nice park with beautiful animals, unfortunately much too crowded when I was there. Maybe only once.

Very nice zoo! The animals were in reasonably large enclosures and did not seem bored. With some animals you can just walk in the enclosure. Staff should only pay a little more attention because some children then stroke the animals, which is not allowed. Also very nice is the mini safari and a boat trip through the jungle! The prices are reasonable. It would be even better if the park would be a little bigger.

NO ONE keeps your distance dangerous so if you say something about it, they look with those looks you are crazy or something. There weren't many animals to watch either. I wouldn't go there again

Very nice park. Spacious. The only improvement point is the number of trash cans that could do more.

Het is heel mooi opgezet hoor, maar het is het net niet als dierenpark. Bij de verblijven is geen enkele informatie over de dieren te vinden en het safari gedeelte is erg op elkaar gebouwd (veel dieren op een relatief kleine plek).
De vlinder tuin in het Jungle deel is mooi, evenals de verblijven van de Aziatische olifanten in de grote hal. Het "Nortic" gedeelte valt dan weer tegen met als dieptepunt de belachelijke "reis door aarde en tijd".
Het restaurant bij de ingang is full-service maar had (toen wij er waren) veel te weinig personeel om alle gasten goed te bedienen. Verscheidene tafels werden voorzien van "gereserveerd" bordjes om het aantal gasten te beperken. Zeer frustrerend voor iedereen die een tafel zocht, wel lege plekken zag maar daar niet mocht gaan zitten.
Ook een beetje onhandig wanneer het druk is, is dat de ingaande route in de park delen hetzelfde is als het uitgaande pad. Dat zorgt nog wel eens voor gedrang.

Not a nice day to go to, but nonetheless enjoyed this adventure.

This park is definitely worth the 5 stars, went there on a Monday and there were few queues. Seen many animals and in the butterfly garden the butterflies were very active and the areas are nicely dressed.

Park is large and walking shoes are recommended. Paths are laid out in the style of the park and there are nice (climbing) paths for the children.

Wheelchair: the park is easily accessible with a wheelchair, of course hilly and there are places for wheelchairs in the truck and boat, various attractions are accessible via the exit.

This is the closer zoo which we can visit, entree price is 35euros and for 75 I bought an abonament for all year. Parking cost a lot there .. 2euro per hour and you need to be in the zoo like 5h to see it all. My kids love this place but I have to be careful during walk there with my 2 years old one because is a lot of places where she can fall down , especially by elephants. The fences are made from wood with huge space in between.. and never come on the weekend if you want to use all attractions ,otherwise u have wait in the queue like 30min .. with 2 kids no possible .. I cant wait when there will be some kindergarten for small kids .

very nice zoo / amusement park, just from Leiden just a little too far

Main restaurant at the entrance, was very welcoming and friendly. It is not a zoo but an animal park. The animals are 1. Beautiful stays and you can see that they have enough space. In addition, the toilets are clean at every place, but this actually applies to the entire park.

A nice animal park/zoo. If you are taking children, there is lots for them to do and keep them occupied. Plenty of places to eat and get snacks. Went in the day time, but apparently the night time is amazing as they have all lights on.

This "Zoo" is fantastic! Everything shows that the welfare of the animals is number 1. That the animals may not be visible at all times is cleverly taken care of by a huge number of beautiful playgrounds, scrambling possibilities, attractions and shows. The only thing I would like to see added are some information boards at the animal shelters. I understood that they are already there via an app, but I go to the zoo to experience and not to have my smartphone in my hand. In that respect they have a piece of education that can be improved. But all in all: Highly recommended!

Super park. View an experience instead of animals in a cage. Beautifully laid out. Much to see and experience. And what a space for the animals. In short, a must.

Approach pretty easy. There is a large car park available (10 ).
The zoo is big and spacious. There are not only animals to see but also a rollercoaster, 4D cinema, safari ride, boat trip and smaller shows. Many areas are covered, most of them are outdoors. Enclosures are very large compared to other zoos. Gladly again.

Most beautiful animal and adventure park in the Netherlands

Far too expensive unfortunately and many animals that were in the old zoo are no longer there. Atmospheric. Unfortunately roaming policy. What is it, a zoo or .. ?? We have been there twice now, right after the opening and about a year and a half later, but probably we will not get there again.

Very nice park spacious. Animals have all freedom, so it is possible that you discover new animals again and again. This makes it more exciting than simply to walk away long lofts.
Nice energetic show from Jim, beautiful decoration and very friendly staff. Extra cheaply made during heat and dispensed bottles. Nice park hope that attracts the number of visitors

Beautiful zoo with many play opportunities for children. The rides are great. You get very close to the animals. The waiting times were tolerable. Only the high entrance fee bothers something.

It's ok. However, I miss the old zoo. There is nothing about how it was before and that I regret. We did happy for any attraction really have to wait so all in all it had an ok day but I'm sad that my kids the zoo where I used so much can not show went. I miss the butterfly garden, I miss the museum-like things, I miss strange but true, I miss the dwarf goats and I miss all the beautiful climb things. The indoor playground is beautiful but there is little natural light and is located clumsy compared to the entrance. Went there with very low expectations, but it has a very high content of Disney better than the low expectations ...

Great beautiful zoo, and a great play atraction for the children. Only the antree price is much too high.

Nicely set up. Spacious natural enclosures for the animals. Corona measures in order. Despite crowds, everything went smoothly.

Had a great day, despite the rain. Indoor playground, the butterfly garden and the indoor jungle offered plenty of entertainment. It was a quiet day, however when busy I certainly understand all previous reviews regarding covid measures.

It is a beautiful zoo only too many other things like animals

A lot of space for the animals. You see them more in their natural behavior. Less animals, but you look at it longer now. Nice attractions. Worth the effort.

I had heard many negative things since the opening, but a few years later I have not seen anything of it. Friendly staff, lots of animals, theming perfectly implemented. And I think the price is not too high, for Burgers Zoo you pay less.
And I've seen animals do things I've never seen before. Swimming hippos that you could see under water, penguins that do not just walk around, etc. And the 4-d movie was also great. We would go there as seen again.
Negatives:
That roller coaster .. I do not understand. Selling that thing, attractions like 4D movies, shows, etc is cool, but not a rollercoaster. That is why I wanted to give 4.5 star, but that is not possible. But it is a fun roller coaster.
Oh yes and you can not walk from one part to another part. So at the end of the day say I go to the monkeys for example is sometimes quite a walk.

Baboon show was the only thing that I find spectacular

Beautiful and well-kept zoo with spacious accommodations. Besides the animals, there are also a number of small and some large attractions. There are also shows and presentations. The admission price is quite high for a zoo.

Definitely recommended, especially Jungola is beautifully laid out and it is also very nice to make a cruise on the "Rimbula River". A very successful day out!
Don't forget to also go on the two-star roller coaster

Beautifully beautiful zoo. You do have to take the time to really look for the animals in the large gardens. Ratio of animals and area is large.

Nice park, very busy. Had it also expected something bigger. The hippos do have a very small stay in my opinion. Furthermore, the accommodations are very well furnished, nice details and decoration. The paths for the visitors are also super.

The decoration of the park is more reminiscent of an amusement park than a zoo. It is very atmospheric with decor and music. As far as animals are concerned, I think Wildlands is a bit disappointing. With adults you can get through it in half a day. But it is certainly nice to have been there.

Nicely laid out. Animals have a lot of space. Quite quiet in Corona times. But too busy in some places. E.g. Butterfly greenhouse and queues. Many kiosks closed. Bagle tasty but the Iceberg lettuce was certainly a few days old. Aquariums small and moderately maintained. A big step back because of the old animal park.

One of the nicest Zoo's in the Netherlands. Well cared for, friendly staff and clean stays. The animals look well cared for and everyone in the park is willing to help you. Definitely recommended for the true zoo enthusiast.

A zoo with elements of an amusement park. The animal shelters are spacious. Visited at the time of corona on a quiet weekday. There were still shows, and both the boat trip and savannah tour continued at an appropriate distance. The roller coaster and indoor playground were unfortunately closed due to corona. The mandatory walking route was well marked. Downside was that the waiting time for the food was quite long and that while it was actually not busy at all.

It is a very nice park, a lot to see and it is sometimes a bit of a search for the animals, in the end you can see them with a good look .. It is very expensive .. My advice bring your own food and drinks .. But otherwise well worth a visit!

Nice but boring park. Sin can take us time 2 hours and 30 minutes. Going there had expected more.

It is very beautiful but the animals are not really classified as the main subject, this is very nice for young children, but it is more about the appearance than the animals!

Wat is dat mooi gelukt. Je krijgt het idee er midden tussen de beesten te lopen. De dieren hebben alle ruimte. Geen hokjes cultuur.
Voor kinderen van 6 tot 14 is het een waar speelparadijs. Bijna overal zijn er wel klimbanen of glijbanen rondom of langs de dieren.

Way too busy for corona! Far too many people are let in because you have to come in a time slot. So now everyone comes at the same time, it is really too busy. People are also hardly spread out in the park, due to the mandatory walking route. After fifteen minutes we turned around and left. A waste of money, but I don't feel like corona!

Very cool park! Very worthwhile even if you are already tired of a dog like me

Moderate, too few animals to be a real zoo, too few attractions to be an amusement park. Children have easily enjoyed themselves. The arcade is great with young children. But overall Wildlands is too expensive for what it is.

Very large zoo with fantastic adventure attractions! We have been with 2 kids and have entertained us all day. Animals can be seen up close and they have ensured that the animals have plenty of room for movement. It is not expensive for a day of entertainment. The best zoo in the Netherlands so far.
