Vandaag hadden we 4 uurtjes om het park te verkennen met onze kleinkinderen. Veel te weinig tijd! Wat een geweldige beleving. Het park an sich alleen al. Prachtige omgeving, geweldig mooi aangelegd en een weldadige rust, ondanks de vele mensen die er zeker geweest zullen zijn. Prachtige shows . Wij hebben ons in een geheel andere wereld ( andere werelddelen, van noord pool, rimboe en woestijn )gewaand. Super!!!
We moeten echt terug komen. (En verheugen ons er nu al op;-) ) Lang niet alles kunnen zien en beleven. Wie weet is het handiger om een abonnement te nemen!!!

Wonderful experience path. A must for children from 4 to 12. Alternating with fun play equipment for children. Very nicely done. Unfortunately as a wheelchair you look at the railings, which is very unfortunate and the path through the park is very uneven, which means you are bouncing back and forth in your wheelchair, which is very annoying. I've experienced as painful.
We have enjoyed delicious and had a nice day in Wildlands. The entrance is nicely designed and upon entering you see a large compass. The food in the restaurant at the entrance was nice. There is operation at the table. You can sit outside or on the terrace. The park looks clean. The buildings and other objects have been executed with great attention. The animals have a great stay. The Serenga is beautifully landscaped the paths along the beautiful trees and plants. We liked the butterfly garden. Sailing with the boat is great. The bridges and wooden house are nicely present. The elephant bath is great. When we were there, some elephants were enjoying themselves in the water. With the safari truck through the savannah is also great story about the animals. Is a nice route. There is ample opportunity to drink or to sit down. Toilets are amply present. Climb appliances are present a sandbox under a half open tent. The children are sitting in the sandbox in the shade. Many things have been thought about. Also the many attributes that decorate the park super. A super park to go.
Not a lot of animals, but nice accommodations with enough space. Free-roaming prairie dogs are my favorite and the roller coaster is small but nice and a nice change.
Beautiful. My friend and I (26 years old) are absolutely thrilled with the perfect worlds of themes, which not only show the habitat of the animals, but also give the animals the opportunity to feed them by hand. We agree that this was not the last visit to the wildlands.
Been here for Christmas for the first time and pleasantly surprised. Nice change with animals, inside outside, playground, eating places. Come back here soon.
Nicely set up, but when I went to old emmen as a little boy it was more fun. Then I thought there were more animals and insects. But again, nice set up zoo, nice shows and animals seem to be fine. My personal favorite are the baboons. You will spend hours watching what they are eating.
Nice place to spend a lot of time with family and to see and experience. The aquarium is very sparse, large water turtles in a much too small environment. The aquarium deserves more attention, I think. The flira can also be much more silent and wilder. I wish for a dynamic life!
Fewer animals than before and we missed the signs with which animal there was and a short explanation. The layout of the park is larger and more beautiful. There is a lot to experience here for children aged 2-12.
I was very disappointed. The advertising makes it look like a big zoo. However, I don't think the bus safari has any added value, because you can get close enough yourself and it is only a very small round with an enormous waiting time. Also the flats that you see around the zoo do not give a zoo feeling at all. I also found the space for the elephants very small for such a large animal. I'm not going here anymore ..
Class designed and maintained zoo. The enclosures are ideal for watching animals . An adventure for the whole family. A highlight is the butterfly house. Priced the zoo is located in the upper area, but worth it.
Nice in design but do miss the animals. All too commercial. Cup including coffee 2.75 and that was lukewarm ... Kids liked it, including nice indoor playground / hall. Hippos certainly see in their (indoor) stay!
Great animal park, only going in the afternoon is too short to take a good look at all the fun. Everywhere you walk it is an adventure and everything to see and do. Personally, I think it's a shame that many animals no longer fit the theme and that the crocodiles have been in the dryer for too long. Yet it has been a successful day and everyone can have a great time here all day!
It is sometimes difficult to see the animals, but that is because they are placed in their own environment. In the shows they also treat the animals with respect.
That Wildland has listened and has done something with the advice. You see more animals, you can come closer, so you experience the weather more and more educational info. For the children it will live more. Keep on going Wildlands and then it becomes even more a nice place to go with your children and grandchildren
For the first time to Wildlands. A beautiful new park, where a zoo is combined with an amusement park. There are 3 worlds that you reach via 1 square. Every world has its own theme where you can also view the animals. There are several animals that live in large spacious cages. Very nice for a day out, but if you want to see everything, you also have to pack the shows. Have you ever been to the former northern animal park you can not compare it with each other. The park is larger and more spacious, but the number of animals has become much less. Also the exhibitions that you knew from the old park can not be found anymore. I give the park four stars. Since there is much more to expand, I think it will only become more beautiful in the future.
Beautiful Wildlife. But a strong point we 72 and 76 years young found it very tiring to be through the tourist office through Emmen to be 2.1 km walk to the entrance of Wildlife to come. Why not a train from the parking lot North to the entrance? We will never go here again. Too bad for us it is not to do.
Blij te horen dat na zoveel jaar innovatie niet de sleutel tot succes is, niet dat ik dat niet gun. Maar echt met tranen naar het nieuws gekeken toen ons geliefde dierenpark sloot en plaats maakte voor een entertainment fabriek die wellicht met liefde opgezette zal zijn maar de plank misslaat.
Absoluut een keurig opgezet park en vriendelijke werknemers.
Ik hoop dat jullie de warmte en spontane avontuur weer terug kunnen brengen zonder dat het een gemaakte attractie wordt. Laat de natuur spreken voor wie ze is.
An incredibly beautiful zoo! I know the old park from my childhood and was a bit unsure how the new one will look like and if the entrance fee is worth it. But he does, in my opinion. There is a lot to discover, to observe the animals in their huge enclosures is fun and the flora, especially in the jungle area is interesting. It was a great day in the wildlands :)
What a beautiful park, we couldn't believe our eyes. In this corona time it is different than usual, but big compliments to Wildlands and staff. Fantastic arranged and everything very clearly indicated. We were very early, the park was open earlier so we could look and walk everywhere. We would love to come back again.
We were really looking forward to it. We had read the website well and knew that artic 1 would not be open due to maintenance, we thought there were plenty of other things to do just fine. That was a disappointment. More than 1/3 was actually closed. Marine aquarium In nortica that is supposed to be ready in early 2020 is not yet ready. Unfortunately, also a two-fight closed and then the truck on the Serenga did not drive. This was very disappointing because we thought it would be great to experience that. The boat trip did not represent much. Maybe make the boat roof transparent so that you can look up. To spider monkey tail / birds / plants. Now you mainly look at walls. And make the story more interesting or don't tell anything. Most of the animals were inside. If it is very cold then I get it but that was not the case. We caught a glimpse of the giraffes through a restaurant. The lori s were already overfed, so that wasn't possible either. And see the hippos in the stable. Backstage is a big flop. You can literally only walk past the premises of the vet, the decoration makers and diet kitchen. At the very least you expect someone to be there to tell or show you something. The lion's enclosure and some lions can be seen through annoying Glass on which a perforated plastic film is stuck. There is a screen in the hood shed where a video was shot about the elephants. I understand that not all ice cream / soft drinks / restaurants are open. But now there was too much close and there really wasn't anything in the place. It is also not really a park for people with mobility problems. Lots of up / down, fences etc. All in all very disappointing especially if you also have to book a hotel because up and down is not feasible from our place of residence. It is not the staff who are enthusiastic, helpful and friendly. Above all, do not follow Google Maps, because then you will end up with apartments with a private parking lot. The parking area at the front is 10 euros for a whole day. Then it is not really well indicated where you have to walk. Our daughter always watches the TV program and we thought we had a good idea of the park. All in all an (expensive) disappointing outing.
Very nice theming, altough the attractions are a bit too much and don't blend in causing a distraction watching the animals. The routing is also a bit odd as there are 3 paths to follow all coming back at the park its entrance. I would recommend to visit the park with young children.
Wat een mooi park! Prachtig aangelegd. Men heeft met verschillende bouwwerken een sfeer willen maken ofdat je zelf op de savanne, de zuidpool of in de jungle loopt.
Is mainly a children's zoo. Especially a lot of playground and a lot of food, candy and toy shops. Very nicely laid out but in my opinion far too few animal species.
Zoo of the future? Actually sad that a roller coaster would be necessary to lure people to a zoo. Beautiful park, spacious, lots to see. Animals have plenty of space, the children loved it. Three comments: roller coaster (is that really necessary?), Sea lion show (is that animal-friendly?) And all those smoking spots. Make zoos, playgrounds, amusement parks, etc. where children come completely smoke-free. The right to clean air is more important than the right to lung cancer.
Omdat we een weekendje Drenthe hadden geboekt zijn we op de zaterdag hier heen gegaan. Het viel niet tegen! Je komt na de ingang in een centrale hub waar je de diverse gebieden in kunt. Deze lijken allemaal vrij klein van opzet maar schijnt bedriegt. Vooral de Serenga is groter dan je denkt.
De thema's zijn leuk in elkaar gezet en het entertainment is goed gedaan. Waar ik mij wel een beetje aan stoorde is dat er op elke hoek ongeveer een eet/drink tentje te vinden is. Dat had wel een stuk minder gemogen. niet omdat het duur is maar het ligt er wel heel dik bovenop.
Een ander punt zijn de dieren. Heb er een dubbel gevoel bij. Aan de ene kant een leuke variatie en opzet maar aan de andere kant ook weer heel erg weinig en klein als je het vergelijkt met bijvoorbeeld Burgers Zoo. Dat was ook te zien aan het gedrag van menig dier. De schildpadden hadden duidelijk last van de te kleine omgeving. Net als de otters die alleen maar bedelden voor eten. Dat kan niet de bedoeling zijn lijkt mij.

Nice park. Really an adventure park. Me kids have had it very much after their sentence. The cruise with the boat was successful. And feeding the lories ... Ga je in de herfstvakantie, dan weet je dat het druk is in Wildlands. Het is geen dierentuin maar een enorm park waar de dieren alle ruimte hebben. Je ziet er genoeg. Zelfs zoveel ,dat mijn telefoon kats leeg raakte omdat ik zoveel foto's had gemaakt. Hartstikke leuke dag gehad. Zelfs 2 x meegereden in die grote "auto" die tussen de giraffen, struisvogels, zebra's , neushoorns en nog wat dieren reed. De bewegwijzering kan beter en meer banken om wat uit te rusten zou geen luxe zijn ,want de afstanden zijn enorm. Kom volgend jaar terug.

Wildlands is een super mooie dierentuin. Het park is leuk voor kinderen en volwassenen. Je raakt niet uitgekeken. In sommige andere dierentuinen ben ik binnen 2 uren uitgekeken, in Wildlands niet. Er is een ruime variatie aan diersoorten te zien.
Nu is het dalseizoen, meerdere dieren die normaal op de Savanne staan waren nu binnen omdat het nu te koud is voor deze dieren, daarom reed de Safari truck niet, dat staat duidelijk aangegeven op de website. Omdat deze dieren nu niet buiten staan kun je die in de stallen bekijken, daar staat een medewerker van Wildlands die van alles over de dieren vertelt. De verblijven in het park zijn erg ruim, ook de hokken achter de schermen zijn erg groot. De toegangsprijs is niet duur, ook het eten is niet duur.
