Great little place for a wedding with beautiful scenery. We called in advance to see if we could check in early and pay for the privilege (as per instructions on the website) but we were spoken to in a very rude manner. The hotel also advised that they accommodate for babies and children. Unfortunately this was not the case, we had to bring our own high chair. The heating in our room was turned off at night and then turned back on after breakfast which made our sleep very uncomfortable. Other than that we and the rest of the wedding party enjoyed the special day.

Beautiful hotel, beautiful location views out of this world. Staff were exceptional. We were there to celebrate our wedding anniversary & as a surprise on our dessert plates they had written in chocolate sauce "Happy Anniversary" lovely touch!! Would highly recommend this country retreat.

Yet another perfect stay. 2 nights to celebrate our first wedding anniversary and despite the current restrictions Broadoaks got it absolutely spot on, once again! We love it here, the rooms, food, grounds and staff are just incredible.

WOW what a lovely place to stay! food and staff were excellent - accommadition was comfortable and away from the main house. Only problem being that when we booked the pool and sauna was closed, bit of a shame really - even if it was out ther control.

Went for afternoon tea using our travel zoo voucher. It was OK for the price but lacked care and attention. The sandwiches were dry, we were told that they were freshly made in the morning. As it was after 2 in the afternoon when we were there it would explain why they were dry. We will not return.

Absolutely amazing place to stay with beautiful grounds. We stayed to celebrate our 20th anniversary & received a card & chocolates from the hotel which was a nice touch. Our room was amazing with a large jacuzzi bath which was lovely. Staff was all very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Had a 4 course evening meal & a plentiful breakfast, which was all cooked very well. Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful. Thank you so much to Darren, Dan, Jo and all of the team. We had our wedding there a couple of weeks ago. The venue is stunning. We opted for the luxury buffet which was fabulous and plentiful. Rare roast beef, poached salmon, local sausages, lovely salads to name but a few. The accommodation was lovely. Our only regret is that we didn't stop a second night to soak it all in. If you are considering having your wedding here, do it, book yourself a 2nd night so that you can really appreciate it. Happy to answer any questions xx

My wedding here 4.8.2017. Food excellent. Gourmet menu definitely the best wedding food I've tasted and same said by many guests. Rooms well appointed. We stayed in the Master Suite (naturally) and made good use of jacuzzi. We had 85 guests but I would say the venue suits smaller parties better.

Our trip back to Broadoaks was for a joint celebration of Valentine's and out 3rd Anniversary. Returning to somewhere that holds such sentimental memories can often lead to disappointment, but both the venue and staff continue to excel in ways that few other hotels come close VERY highly recommend and can't wait to return again in the near future

Beautiful venue, stunning individual bedrooms all with their own unique feature and beautiful bathrooms. The room we stayed in on the first night even had a little history note about the toilet seat which was actually really interesting. The food in the restaurant the night before and the food during the wedding was beautiful, The breakfast aswel was one of the best hotel breakfasts I've ever had!

Had afternoon tea here and it wss delicipus, good value for money and the staff were wonderdul. I highly recommend booking (book with them or check the sites like groupon).
The mulled wine wand Christmas touch to the aft tea was lovly and you get a pot of coffee or tea which was great. Let them know allergy issues in advance and they can cater to that.
The grounds look nice to sit in on a warmer day.

Very nice room. Very clean facilities. The food was to a high standard. The only negative I can think of is the WiFi wasn't working and when I asked for assistance was told their was nothing they could do. With the phone reception being very poor in the lake district it was almost impossible to research and look for things to do and opening times etc.

Can't recommend it highly enough, the staff are polite and friendly, I'm a vegetarian and they made every possible effort to cater to my dietary needs. Animals are welcome and they even offer food for dogs, treating them in the same way as guests. The atmosphere is so relaxed and the views are breathtaking.

Came here for a wedding (stayed in a nearby B&B) place was fully booked. The building, the surrounding grounds and furnishings are stunning. The wedding itself went like clockwork and the room looked so lovely. The food and drink was amazing, as was the waitress/waiter service throughout the day. Couldn't fault it, although I couldn't imagine the cost.

The staff were excellent, the grounds & room were very enjoyable. It was a little bit of a struggle to get a parking spot at first but as the lunch crowd subsided that became less of a problem.
The ambience & dinner in the evening was superb. It felt like more of an experience with staff attentively guiding us through music lounge, drinks, menu, table/restaurant and all courses. The quality of the food was excellent and has been one of our high points on our getaway.

Stayed 7th June 2013
Our first visit to Lake District was absolutely fantastic, beautiful scenery, beautiful walks and friendly people. We were made to feel very welcome from arriving on the Friday till departing midday Saturday such a relaxed atmosphere.
Everything was perfectly arranged for surprising my partner on arrival the location combined beautiful manicured gardens with natural beauty of the woods surrounding. The management attend to all my wishes from champagne, wine, chocolate strawberries, petals and running bath for our anniversary. To receiving a card with good wishes from all the staff.
The room was of a very high standard with stunning views and with the windows open you could enjoy the pleasant sounds and perfumes from the garden. We sat in the garden sipping champagne taking in all the breath taking views while watching a small dear wondering around the garden Purely magical before experiencing the exceptional dining experience within the hotel restaurant Magnifique
Before departing we received a scrumptious breakfast - offering a variety of cereals, fresh fruit, and yogurt to the full English breakfast of sausages, bacon, yummy black pudding, eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes and toast
To die for
Overall there isn't anything to fault with this hotel we found the service and attention to detail excellent.
Nothing was too much trouble and couldn't be any more friendly and helpful
Great value for money and would definitely go back again
Thank-you

RECENTLY ENGAGED? DISCERNING BRIDES NEED TO LOOK NO FURTHER THAN THIS EXTRAORDINARY VENUE!
Every bride thinks that their wedding is the best and as such an impartial, unbiased review isn't an easy ask but I will do my best, so here goes...
We live in Cheshire but we wanted to get married in the Lakes and began our reccy of venues last year. From the word go, Broadoaks was head and shoulders above the rest with their professional, reassuring and welcoming approach. Amber, our dedicated wedding co-ordinator was patient and above and beyond helpful throughout our entire planning process. The core business for the venue seems to be exclusive hire weddings and we were initially concerned that our big day would be a conveyor belt function... We couldn't have been more wrong! From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty and they made us feel like ours was the only wedding they had hosted this side of the millennium! We chose the 2 day package and we would highly recommend this if your finances allow. Everything was utterly perfect from the moment we arrived! We had a delicious 2 course dinner with our guests on the eve of our wedding which was very relaxed and the ideal prelude to our nuptials the following day. On the day of the wedding everything ran like clockwork and nothing was too much trouble for us or any of our guests. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was immaculately executed. Perfecto! We can't thank the staff enough, they were helpful, friendly and professional beyond words. Extra thanks to Dan and Mike who went above and beyond! Our guests were bowled over by the standard of their rooms and the level of service they received throughout their stay. Thank you Broadoaks from the bottom of our hearts, you did us proud and we wish you all the very, very best for your continued success. Brides and Grooms look no further, if you strive for perfection, you will find it in a perfectly packaged Broadoaks Country House Wedding!!! Xxx

Would give zero if I could. Abysmal service. Bought a voucher for partners birthday, despite it being available all week, was only allowed to use it on a Monday and Tuesday, which was impossible for us. Awful customer service. Wouldn't recommend at all.

We went to Broadoaks for New Year and it was excellent. From the initial contact for booking through to the end of our stay, everyone was friendly and helpful, attentive and professional. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt like guests in a private country house rather than a hotel. Broadoaks is set in a beautiful, peaceful location, the food was delicious and our room was well appointed, clean with a huge, comfortable bed and stunning views towards Lake Windemere. Thank you to everyone for making our stay so enjoyable.
