Kate in the body shop was great. I was from out of town and had a car there that my daughter was driving and Kate went out of her away to get the part ordered and have it there when I flew in to visit her and repaired it in two days. Kate was also very customer friendly and made me feel very welcome as a customer . Also with the car being repaired I also felt very safe with my daughter in the car. Thanks for everything you did in the time frame I gave you .

By far the BEST car buying experience yet! My husband and I researched cars and visited countless dealerships for 3 months until we finally found the perfect car, deal, and service at Dick Norris GMC. We found the exact car online that we had been looking for and were contacted by Joe Capello who was very friendly, timely, professional, and more than willing to work with us via e-mail/phone since we were from out of town. When we arrived the car was great, the people were friendly, and the process was smooth. Thank you Joe and the rest of the staff at Dick Norris GMC for finally ending our car search and making it a great experience!

As parents of driving teenagers, and one already in college, we needed a fourth car. We knew that we either wanted a full-size SUV or another compact car because of rising gas prices. Needless to say we were undecided which way to go because price was definately a factor and time was of the essence. Dick Norris GMC located on HWY 19 and Bellaire Rd. is just minutes from our house so we felt very comfortable in the fact that this dealership is part of our community. This weighed heavily on our choice of who to go with. The first person to greet me, shake my hand, and look me in the eye was Sean Hamza. Sean knew exactly the questions to ask in order to facilitate our purchase. I was not surprised with his level of knowledge of the vehicles on his lot as well as the ones at the Palm Harbor location and the vehicles on the website. The first visit was basically just a fact-finding mission to see where we stood as far as what we could afford. Sean wasted no time leading us to vehicles to assist us in our efforts. Before leaving that very first visit, I had Sean's business card and he requested that I use his personal cell number at any time if we had any questions at all day or night. The second visit Sean introduced us to the General Manager of the dealership, Doug Norris. Again, handshake, looked me in the eye, and made sure that we knew if there was anything we needed he would be available. Again, very important. Doug was very approachable and you could tell that his attitude and the way he carried himself meant that he was there for us and this behavior trickeled down to everyone that we encountered on every visit. By the third visit, we had narrowed our thinking down to a certain vehicle that we wanted to look at. Sean had other things in mind. He said, "Go ahead and look at that one, but before you decide, let me show you something." We looked at the vehicle we wanted for a little bit then he came and found us and showed us the vehicle that was exactly what we were looking for that had less mileage, same year, and more of the features we were looking for. We test drove it and the sale was made. If Sean did not anticipate that we would like this other vehicle, I doubt that we would ever have looked at it. Sean knew our needs and helped us do the right thing for us. The buying process involved several different people in the organization and it was very smooth. Sean's handshake goodbye was also accompanied with the ability to call him no matter what if we had an issue. I consider them friends and members of my community and eagerly await the next opportunity to buy a vehicle from them. Thank you to everyone at Dick Norris Buick GMC. You have brought the community back into the car-buying business where a handshake means everything. Excellent job. Mike and Kim Wallingford

My parents went to Dick Norris Buick in Palm Harbor to purchase a Caddy they had online. We were met outside right away by Kyle. He took care of them right away, showed them the vehicle. He gave them space to check it out, my Mom wanted a diff color interior. Any way, he was very patient and kind, he did go get his supervisor to help him with looking for a diff color, but Kyle was the one my Dad really liked, took him at his word that he knew what he wanted to do, so that is appreciated. He was courteous and not impatient, unlike most people. He was awesome, if you want a great salesmen who has knowledge and seems to care, go see Kyle!! Everybody was nice though. Thanks for a Great experience, and btw, they bought the Caddy! :)

Another great service visit at Dick Norris Buick GMC! This time, I was very impressed by a service writer (I think his name is John), who I overheard in the waiting area, explain a concern that he had with a customer s tire. The tire had a gash in the sidewalk, probably from the curbing the customer had hit earlier. Without pressure, John explained his concern. The customer declined (she later told me that her husband takes care of the car and would decide later), however, I was very impressed with John s professionalism, detailed explanation and sincerity! True integrity is what you do when you don t know you re being watched. I always feel taken care of when Dennis Wible (my Service Writer) helps me - now I know it s the culture! Nice job and thanks!

I brought my 2007 Acadia in for an oil change and ended up with a host of other maintenance items that needed attention. It's a good thing the dealership keeps up to date on what needs maintained - or else I would be coming in with bigger/more expensive problems in the long run :)
Thanks for taking good care of us! Max is THE BEST service advisor anyone could ever ask for. I recommend Dick Norris to friends and family whenever car shopping comes up in conversation.
Keep up the good work!

This was the closest dealership to my apartment when I had run over 2 nails in both of my back tires. Pros: plenty of availability, the courtesy driver was wonderful, very polite and welcoming, and followed up with me to ensure I had a ride later that day, and the ladies on the phone from the service department were very helpful and friendly. Cons: my service advisor Chaz didn't leave a striking impression as the most professional individual. Never heard from him later that day about the status of my car, had to call myself to follow up. (Which if it's busy, ok I can understand, but moreso bc I was told this was such a quick fix, that's why they don't give out rental vehicles for it) and since I have worked in a GM service department for years, I had already called in my claim to Safeguard, my road hazard warranty company, but a quick search on Google is always good to do if you're not sure about a company; so to say if I hadn't called it in, I feel like it would have been an issue. (To be fair, Safeguard is the tire and wheel warranty offered with a large number of brand new GM vehicles, and is very largely utilized by said dealerships). Overall , my experience wasn't horrible or amazing, the issues i brought it in for were fixed and I have no complaints on regards to that. If I need to utilize the dealership again I would, but only for an emergency reason like this one, otherwise I'm still happy driving further back to my regular dealership for an overall much better quality of service experience.

Brought truck in for an electrical issue, all they did was charge battery and reset warning light. No idea why it happend so it could happen again. Didnt even wash truck with oil change service. I wont go back even thinking of trading in truck for different brand....very disappointed.

If you have a Check Engine light on, just go to AAMCO and get it check out for free! I had a "spark plug wire #2 rubbing on bracket with code PO302." It was easily 'repositioned' and the code was cleared. They did a visual inspection since my car is 20 yrs old, and check my steering fluid. No other work was done. I was charged $120. I've been going to DN for many years, but this charge is a bit much!

Your staff are very good at making customers comfortable. Dean, our salesman made us feel confident that we were getting the best deal, As a matter of fact we were planning on looking at different dealers but were so satisfied with Norris that we didn't consider going anywhere else.

I talked to Rudy in the collision department when I needed to make an appointment for an estimate. He was very accommodating. At the date for the estimate, he was on time and finished the estimate quickly. Setting up the repair job dates was easy and Rudy explained exactly what would happen. When I brought my car in for repairs, and I needed to get home quickly because of my dog's illness, I watched Rudy call the rental office every 30 seconds to get them to the dealership as fast as possible. I appreciated that. When I called with a question, Rudy kept me online so that he could give me the correct answer. When I picked up my car, the repair work was excellent and my car was cleaned inside and out. I would definitely recommend Dick Norris to anybody.

Service Department: Not as good as it used to be.

Service Department: Not as good as it used to be.

Unfortunately I have seen this facility fall from great to sloppy.
The last time I was here I paid for a rental car but they didn t do any work!!
When I asked to reschedule around rental car availability I was told that we just don t have any on the lot ... for 3 visits?!?
B.S.!!!
You are liars.
Either this dealership is too poor to provide this service any longer...
Or, they are no longer as customer service focused as they once were.
Either way, you lose.

FAIL!

I had a hard time selling my GMC 2500 truck. Getting low ball offers for 5-8k on a 14k truck in the open market. I got offered 10k by Dick Norris. Ended up getting $10500. I'm sure they will mark it up to 13k but whatever. They will make money on the financing.

WARNING!! For Senior Citizens especially Female!! ...

WARNING!! For Senior Citizens especially Female!! On 9/2/14 I took my 2010 Pontiac in for a factory recall notice (about brake lamp replace) and an oil change. I always have taken my vehicle for oil changes every 3,000 miles to them. My bill when I left was for $485.00!!! The service advisor told me I needed a new battery because there was corrosion on the connections, I needed a new positive cable replaced, and I needed new windshield wipers. I realize I should have questioned more, but I felt that they wouldn't take advantage of me because I had been coming to them over the years. I was led to believe that the corrosion on the battery connection was very bad and would cause problems. When my friend heard what had happened he went to the service manager and they said they would refund $135.00 (which they did). I received a call from Dick Norris a couple weeks later and he said that "He wouldn't have even done that". That spoke volumes to me of his integrity.
I believe that because I am 70 yr old female that they took advantage of me. My suggestion to anyone is if you are elderly to take someone with you that can interpret and realize things that are not needed so that you will not be taken advantage of. And I do not have any warranty information on the new battery which I requested and it is nowhere on the battery. Bad business practices.

It was okay. Went in for an oil change tire rotation and full service inspection all complimentary since that was my first time visiting the dealership. However when asked if they could wash the vehicle she mentioned they normally do not do a complimentary detail even though I did not mention that I wanted it to be complimentary. Long story short the detailing center was closed at 3 pm. Services took about 2 hours.

Replaced warranty parts. Seems ok
Requested tire pressure check as they are nitrogen and cold weather made them a little low. Car came back with tires @ 40psi. Manufacture recommendation is 32. I would think the dealer would know to use the pressure indicated on door. Not max pressure on tire. Very dangerous practice.

Fantastic experience. I went in to test drive a car I was interested in and was assisted by Frank. Frank was kind, patient and not pushy at all. He pulled the car up, let me test drive it and provided me with all the information I needed without shoving it down my throat. When I said I needed time to talk it over he let me have the room I needed to think my decision through. Even though I did not buy a car from them, I found my experience to be one of the most pleasant I have ever had at a dealership and will keep them in mind for future car purchases.

Went to sell my car to them. Husband had called several times and got the run around a bit. He brought it to them and spoke to an "Al". After the transaction was complete husband was waiting for me to pick him up. Husband overheard this "Al" talking unprofessionally on the phone about him and the transaction. This was EXTREMELY unprofessional and I can assure you I will not be recommending this place to anyone.

Horrible experience with their service department. Rude af. Avoid the cranky guy named Max. He won't listen to you and he'll get angry later because he didn't know what you wanted, because he didn't listen to you. Condescending, rude and generally unpleasant to deal with. Then, management doesn't seem to appreciate your concerns. Find a different Buick dealer to get your service. You will be disappointed. Zero stars.

A lot of dealerships are terrible. This one is honestly really great. During our experience, the owner came around and spoke with us. We thought it was very genuine, had a great attitude, and an awesome business owner. Buying a truck through them was a great experience!

Just had my Yukon serviced over the weekend. Jennifer set me up with the service department and they picked up my vehicle at home for me. I can't remember if it was Lenny or Denny who brought me my loaner vehicle, Acadia limited- but we enjoyed having this. They updated me with phone calls and brought back my Yukon home safely to me. Had a wonderful experience with them since I just purchased the vehicle last December but now considering the Acadia, may have to call John Pannebaker again. Thanks for taking care of me DN Palm Harbor TEAM.

Joe Cappello and the rest of the team at Dick Norris Palm Harbor went the extra mile, and then some to make buying a vehicle an extremely pleasant experience. So much so, I drove 100 miles to do it. Highly satisfied with my decision to travel to Palm Harbor from Fort Myers to do it. Top rate job, folks!

Too many times dealership service departments get slammed for pushing unwanted services or outright lying to customers about the condition of their vehicle. In the years that I've been going to Dick Norris Buick's service department, I've never had that experience. It really doesn't matter whether it is me or my wife bringing the car in, the standard of excellence and honesty remains. I have no problem at all with the service department or the service staff at Dick Norris Buick GMC.

Traded in my Acadia 2008 for a new 2013 Denali. I thought the Denali had everything and then some from my older/lesser model. I was wrong. The Denali didn't have the 110 plug in converter or the rear electric shade. If I wanted the rear converter I had to purchase the rear entertainment package. I didn't have that on my other model. I use this plug for a cooler in my business. Now I will have to figure something out. The electric shade is not an option anymore. It would have been nice to have the bench seating option on the second row. I would have rather had that than the bucket seats for my set up.

Bought a 2015 GMC Arcadia. Purchased 150k warranty. The car looked good but had a chip in the windshield. They said they would have someone fix it at the house. The company that fixed it did not glue the windshield on properly. I got stuck four times in five weeks after having me pay for a new battery and windshield wipers that did not work well. Finally the fourth time a mechanic there figured out the rain was coming into the car causing a wet rag smell and under the hood causing electrical problems. I used my AAA and luckily did not get stuck in the middle of the highway etc. Finally fixed but the seatbelt does not lock when I stopped short so I brought it in to check that and a gas smell in the car. The driver Bobby who picked me up asked me what I had fixed when he picked me up at the house. Told him and he kept going fast with his car and slamming his foot on the brakes four times on my street. His seatbelt was not locking either and four times I banged my head on the headrest. This was several months ago. I have had a headache, nausea and blurred vision and numbness in especially my hands. I have never had a call back apologizing after I called several times. I will never buy another car from them. Right now my fingers are numb from typing this.

Everyone makes mistakes once in a while. It is what is done to correct the situation which makes the difference. I had an ignition switch replaced, in my 2005 Buick Rainier, by the Dick Norris Service Department. The switch was installed incorrectly. When I got back to Massachusetts last summer, the new switch failed. I had the switch replaced again, in Massachusetts.
This winter, when I came back to Florida, I spoke to Brent Boostrom, the Dick Norris Service Manager.
He apologized for my inconvenience and offered to refund the cost of the switch and installation. I wasn't looking to get anything. I just wanted to inform the Service department of my troubles.
I feel it was a very nice and professional thing for Brent to do.
I would recommend Dick Norris to anyone.
Thanks, Brent

I put a 2 star because the financial person was absolutely amazing, the sells person not so much I got a 2021 Yukon Denali did I get to test drive it before absolutely not I ask the sells person and he said not before you buy it!! I was stunt I bought before cars in others dealerships never had this happen to me before, I also ask if they could show me how to work things out because I have a Silverado Chevy truck which is very different. they never bother to show me how to work OnStar neither they show me anything from the inside like the technology or about the points rewards I did ask several times never happen. I was also shock that most of the employees don t wear mask but I m from Tampa so maybe it s a different protocol??

ABSOLUTELY AWFUL business and salespeople! I dealt with Russ for half the day looking for a GMC Terrain SLT after a guy totaled my 2011 Terrain. Russ called me back, very polite to let me know he had 3 in stock, $6K below any other dealer I had found all over the Tampa area. I rushed over before they closed because it was too good to be true that he could be that low, but I verified with him numerous times over email and over the phone that it was an SLT model with 19-inch wheels, nav system, 2.0 liter engine. He confirmed every time and even sent me the write-ups over email to confirm! I get all the way to Palm Harbor and he goes to get the paperwork only to come back and tell me the 16% off deal was only for the SLE models, not the SLTs...I am livid. Not only have I wasted an hour of travel time to get to the dealership, but people like Russ and this dealership are SCUM for pulling this bait and switch game on people that have no time for it after being told their car is totaled. DO NOT GO HERE OR SPEAK TO THESE PEOPLE. They are the typical scummy car dealers you hear about and hope to never come in contact with.

My recent experience with the service department went as expected. They provided me with a loner while my car was inspected for the fifth time for transmission issues. I was kept abreast of the progress and the communication that they were having with GM Detroit. Although I am not comfortable the outcome long term will prove effective, right now my vehicle, 2019 GMC Terrain, is running OK.

I ve always had an excellent experience when dealing with Dick Norris GMC. From buying my truck (through the Costco auto program) to multiple servicing appointments, I ve always found the staff helpful and courteous and the facilities very clean and well maintained. I d buy from them again and recommend them.
