I wish I could not give any stars to this restaurant. Let's start with the establishment itself. It feels like a warehouse, with tacky painted walls and an exposed ceiling. Their version of music in the dining room is an empty stage with a DVD of some Italian singer live, this includes the credits when the dvd is over. Now the staff. We were seated immediately and our server was walking by with an armful of plates and stated he would be right back. Well be right back meant 10 minutes later in which time another server had asked us if we were served and we informed him we were just waiting for the original server to come back. Also in this time waiting for the original server we noticed him at 3 different tables before getting back to us. Finally he made it to us and just took our order with no small talk or welcome. When the food was brought to our table it was brought out by another server, that makes 3 to visit our table. The food. I ordered lasagna and my husband ordered penne pasta, meatballs and sauce on the side. My lasagna was drowning in grease, which usually to me means, it's going to be great. Well in this case, not so much. It had little sauce and very little ricotta, yet was smothers in mozzarella cheese. My husband's meatballs tasted every bit of frozen as they looked. His marinera sauce was at best one step above Chef Boyardee. The food was overpriced for the quality. Only in the end when our server brought us our check would he engage in small talk, asking if we were from Massachusetts as I was wearing a Boston Bruins shirt. Would not recommend this place to anyone! Not even worth the review but worth warning other patrons.

Disapointing at best. This is the $10 dinner salad... Bag lettuce and a couple of tomato slices. The soup was pretty tasteless.

Usually not a bad restaurant but stay away from the soup and salad combo it sucks.

there's also a sign out front it says they charge an additional 3.95 % if you put your meal on a credit card

We were seated and accidentally forgotten about. The owner/manager came over and apologized and comped us an appetizer for the mixup, which was much appreciated. The food was great and the place has a great atmosphere. If your flight out of Denver is cancelled, give them a try like we did.

I spent over $100 here and I walked out feeling like I stole the food it was that good. Me and the wife agree they have the best white sauce of any Italian restaurant we have ever eaten in Colorado or any other state ever by a long shot. Don t be fooled by the upscale decor the people there are down to earth and very welcoming to families. We had our infant with us and both of us are what we would consider underdressed and we still received excellent service from Trey our waiter. He himself went above and beyond.

The food is not that great, the restaurant smells pretty gross when you walk in. They charged $3 for me to share pizza with my 5 year old and then charged almost 4% to use a credit/debit card. The service & seating area was akward. I could over look these things if the food was amazing, but it wasn't worth the price

We came last Sunday-2:00 in the afternoon. We made reservations well in advance. There were 20 of us. Only one server the whole time. We had empty water glasses & drink glasses pretty much the whole time. The food was almost cold. The bread was wonderful, however we ran out. There was also a sewer smell which waifed throughout the building. We have been here a few times in a smaller group. We were very disappointed, kind of ruin the company dinner.

Not exactly worth the money. Salad dressing was really watery, so was the Alfredo sauce. Sauces lacked flavor and service was lackluster at best. I would expect more out out of an $85 dinner without appetizers and alcohol.

Pick up the game or call it quits. I live down the street and work at DIA. I m not recommending you.

I came alone with a craving for Italian food. I had never been before and I must say that it was a stunning experience. Brandon, who took care of me, was very kind and attentive, professional and knowledgeable about the restaurant. He informed me that Mr. DiCicco was walking around the restaurant and that this beautiful restaurant was family run with a small staff-which is impressive for a restaurant of this size. The piano music in the dining room was pleasant and fun, and my spaghetti was amazing with great presentation. I will be back, with friends.

The experience would have been 4 or 5 stars if we weren't sat with the bald, sassy server. Also, there was a strong sewage smell throughout the restaurant. It may not be their fault though, because the area is being developed everywhere. The food was good, though and portioned well.

Nice restaurant close to Denver airport. Spaghetti was overcooked, but everything else was very good (beef ravioli, lasagna, and eggplant parm). Nice dinner salad for small upgrade and they bring small loaves of crusty bread to the table.

Fancy and affordable place to get decent Italian food. The food was good, but nothing spectacular. I had a side salad and the spinach ravioli. But the ambiance was great and the service was good as well. They were showing classics like Sinatra on the wall, and had a pianist playing music too.

This place is exceptional and I highly recommend eating here. There stuffed mushroom ravioli is delicious The atmosphere of the place is nice as well. Expect to actually dine when you go there.

Rather disappointed. So I had some mixed feelings going in for the second time (first was early last year) as I could see some signs of disrepair (stones missing in cobblestone walkway outside) and general cleanliness. I wanted something nice but close or over $30 for an entree was more than I wanted to gamble with so I decided on an app and pasta entree. I got the sauteed mussels and manicotti with meatballs. First the good. The bread was very nice (would liked to have some dipping balsamic vinegar and olive oil). Now the mussels, broth might have had good flavor but my taste buds were destroyed by salt! Ok, I'm being a little melodramatic but the salt was off the charts and what little broth I could taste it was good. Now for the manicotti and meatballs it was, meh. My biggest issue was how not meaty the meatballs and manicotti stuffing was. I suspect they use a lot of filler for both so the meatballs were very soft and almost mushy with no ground beef texture or flavor. The manicotti had the same in them, just mushier. The dish was covered in a thick layer of cheese and not much sauce. Overall flavor was just ok. I would rate flavor as three stars and the texture of the meatballs as two and the way over salted mussels as 1.5. If the overall price was closer to $20 then I could excuse some of the missteps but at over $40 for an app and entree and nothing else, no way. That plus the 4% non-cash upcharge makes it much more egregious. Fine tune the food, add quality control and reign in the prices and it would be much more enjoyable.

Ordered food to go and that might have something to do with why it was so terrible. By far the greasiest mess of pasta I have ever had to suffer through. There were standing puddles in the take out container. It made me gag it was so bad. I'm super surprised this place has as good of ratings as it does as the food does not reflect as such. I've had better dishes at Olive Garden....

My husband and I shared the veal Parmesan and thank god the portion was good enough for both of us, nothing special really. Pricey meals and they add a 2 percent fee if you use a charge card, hello! Also charged extra because we shared our meal. They come off as a classy restaurant but both my husband and I were not impressed at all. The restaurant only had another table with customers and our waiter was in a big hurry to clean the table, took away the butter before we were finished and almost grabbed my salad which I was still in the process of eating. Don t waste your hard earned money. Our bill was still over 60$ and like I said we shared our meal. One glass of soda each was 3.50 each. No refills.

A bit over-expensive. Food is ok, not outstanding and not poor. Vela scaloppini came sliced, never saw it served that way before, should come one piece and breaded. Soup wasn't great, beans were tired, soup appeared from fridge to microwave.

Food is not Italian, the pizza was American and could have been a small Domino's. Pasta was not outstanding either.
They have a pretty good wine list with many good reds.
The waiters were very friendly, however a bit too obtrusive as is usual for an American restaurant that wants to demonstrate their outstanding service.
Atmosphere unique.

Entrance is odd, the atmosphere seems a bit more like a bar or speakeasy. The food was meh. Red sauce is good, but the Bolognese was just ok. Service was slow but the servers were enthusiastic.

So my husband and I had some pretty basic dishes spaghetti and alfredo so I'm not going to review the food, because if an Italian restaurant can't do those dishes, they shouldn't be in business. Our server was awesome and upbeat the whole time. The architecture of this place was what really caught our attention. The outside looks like a normal building, but inside... you'd think this was a dinner theatre or a church at some point, but NOPE that is ON PURPOSE. Our minds were blown. There's a little stage area and the hand painted details really shook us.
sorprendente!

Kinda strange building, unnecessarily large and windowless, maybe it used to be a strip club? Or it's a front for the mob? Or the Illuminati meet here? Regardless, good Italian-American food by Colorado standards. Service is excellent. They screwed up our to go order once but comped the entree that they made the mistake on, well done.

I visited DiCicco's on a Sunday, sadly it's the only night they don't have a live pianist there, but the beautiful atmosphere of the restaurant plus the huge projector playing opera music and dancing was very enjoyable! The food was amazing, their ranch blue cheese dressing was delicious and the chicken Parm entree was so good we each ordered the same thing.

Aside from no crackers with soup, not being asked if I wanted cream with my coffe, and being left to wait for the bill for more than a time that was reasonable; this restaurant is uniquely surprising. With beautiful live music, comfy / secluded booths, superb architecture and lighting, friendly staff, and delicious menu... This place really hit the spot and I will be back again! Loved it!

Salad was watery from not being given the proper way to dry after washing.

Fresh Steamed Veggies were still crisp like the steamer was skipped.

Pasta not properly drained so there was a lot of liquid on the bottom of the plate which made the Chicken Parmigiano soggy.

For the menu prices, you think these rookie mistakes would be obsolete

Nice restaurant. Tonight was my second time and all went well. Service was good and the food too. I had the caprese salad to start, which was good, and then linguini that I had changed to home made fettuccini) with scallops and shrimp. I really liked it. It s not high end cuisine and it is definitely a little overpriced for what it is but it s good and so far it has been consistent. I will keep eating there when in town.

Great Italian food! I love the lasagna and meatballs. The service is usually pretty good. The bar makes a mean dirty martini.

The restaurant is built almost like a concert venue. On Friday and Saturday nights there is live entertainment. DiCicco s is definitely a fun place to eat and have a few drinks.

Fairly good Italian. I'm a big man and they stuffed us into a booth. Didn't offer to move when I complained. Would have walked out but was tight on time. One of my fellow diners agreed the sauces were fairly bland.

Calzone doesn't even have ricotta, laughable. I didn't get meat and they still charged me for extra sauce. So I essentially paid $18 for a mozzarella stick, AND IT ISN'T EVEN THAT GOOD. Save your coins.

Great Italian worth the drive. Nice spot if your staying at one of the hotels by the airport. Large dining hall with a unique environment. Had a old movie going with music. Good place for a couple. Chicken parmesan and the Italian combo below.

The food is average Italian food and the decor is quaint. The value for the money is ridiculous. $9.99 for a side salad and 3.5% upcharge for credit cards and then they try to charge $3 to split a $35 plate of veal parm. Calamari sticks seem to be simply frozen and throw on a plate and in no way good Italian. The best part of the meal were the mussels. Our dinner consisted of two appetizers, one entree, one kids meal, 1 cup of soup and everybody drink water and it was $100 dinner. Unfortunately not worth it save your money and go elsewhere
