After my card was not accepted I could not check in. After that, I became a victim of a scam.
After several debits from my account and contact with my bank, I was told that here probably a hotel employee makes crooked business! My card and pin were spied out and forwarded to a contact in India. From there, my bank account was cleared out. The hotel itself is not to blame, but the staff! I can not prove it, but my bank has informed me about this scam and nobody else has had access to my credit card. That's why I know that my credit card was read out on this card reader in the hotel terminal.

The Art'otel is minutes away from the central station, and every floor has a art dotted out, as well as an art exhibition on the ground floor. Most of the rooms has quirkiness or art artefacts in them. The common areas and the bar has games for you to use and trust me the is nothing like Ludo and a Heineken after a long day waling around town! The restaurant does a great breakfast as well as good dinner options.

We are on our third day and it's great. Still 2 days but we do not want to go back. Everything is good: the location in the city center that allows you to go out at night to walk, the breakfast, gym pool and the staff is just wow! We travel a lot but it is one of the few hotels where the staff is so friendly smiling and available. We recommend 200%.

Great atmosphere in this hotel where the staff is sincerely attentive and attentive. The pool, which is shared with the neighboring Park Plaza Hotel, was quite cold. Breakfast with quality products and very good dinner at the restaurant the day before which is a rather trendy place (DJ electro)

Very chic hotel, the safe was broken, asked them 2 times before they got an expert to fix it, the water in the morning was Luke warm, very nice and usable fitness centre, bar at night was poping. Service was very good with friendly and fun staff. Very good location being close to everything. Would definetly come back to this hotel again.

The hotel is located in a great location and the service is excellent. While the restaurant is great, the breakfast was fairly limited relative to most other comparable hotels I've stayed at. The decor is interesting and it's definitely a unique place. The only thing is the design of the rooms. The bathroom has a sliding door that doesn't shut or lock. There's an inch gap so everything is audible from the bedroom. Even when traveling with family it's not a great setup.

Great Hotel in Radisson Blu group. 5 min walk from train station. They gave us our room at 0930 which was amazing. Great to shower after getting off the plane. Very nice front desk. Right in the heart of city center. And quiet! Who knew you can have a quiet room in the heart of Amsterdam. Apparently they share a fitness center with the hotel next door and it's a bit hidden.

Cheaper places available but this is well located (trams all stop outside the front, as well as canal tours and the central station - well situated for the central districts) and a lovely relaxing place after a day of exploring. Good bar as well

Great hotel with a modern art twist, a large fancy bar and plenty of space in the rooms! One complaint would be that the pool was closed due to renovation, but we had an option to go to another hotel, and use the pool there with a cab, (free of charge). Overall great experience, kind staff, but chaotic service near the bar, long wait time and a bit inattentive to the guests hoping for a drink.

OK, where do I start with this hotel. The hotel is young, fun and contemporary. All the staff we came across were very friendly & kind. The rooms were very comfy, all mod cons in the room. Loved the elemis products in the bathroom. And those extra touches at town down. Like lavender sprays for your pillows. The hotel has a small pool, sauna & gym. However was disappointed with the lack of products in the changing rooms. Considering the luxury products they use in their rooms. Breakfast was a up market continental style menu. Self service cheeses, pastries & cereal etc ... But you can order from a menu eggs & pan cakes. The choice was sufficient.
Unfortunately, service was a little hit & miss at breakfast and in the bar. I'm not too sure if during low season or midweek, they reduce staffing. Really good location opposite central station. Yes, the hotel is on the tram line. So, if you are a very very light sleeper this may disturb you. We didn't have an issue with this. Overall we had a lovely stay, and would recommend. Would rate as a 4* Deluxe rather than a 5* as advertised.

I ve booked this hotel based on the reviews on google maps so I thought would be great to help other travelers too. The hotel is different, different architecture and with some art inside that everyone can visit and enjoy. Upon arrival we were really well received. The person that took care of our booking was simply fantastic. Super friendly and polite explained everything about the hotel and even gave us a free upgrade to our room and two welcome drinks at the bar of the hotel. The room was amazing very clean and modern loved it. I ve made some requests like a different pillow and more water and they took care of it immediately. My opinion the only downside during my stay was the breakfast not much things to eat was a bit limited but what was available was fresh and really good.
Definitely recommend this place to stay right in the city centre. Walking distance from the train station called Amsterdam Central.

Very nice hotel!

Very nice hotel!
Not amused only by the fact that if you want to visit spa/gym, you have to go through the restaurant first.

Stay away from the artotel if you are traveling with big lugagges.
No cars can park close to the hotel so you have to drag your luggage by yourself one block away in a crowded situation. And it will last for at least 5 years ahead.
Even though the room was comfortable, The Cleaning lady was not cleaned the room properly.
In my horror, the
receptionist were not friendly at all..and the coffe shop service was the worst of them all.
We would like to come back to Amsterdam next time soon...but wont be staying at artotel FORSURE!!

Summary: a five star hotel, that is using art and location to hide the fact, that this is a 3 star hotel with bad customer service.'
Pros
Great location you are really in the center of Amsterdam. All you need is a 15 min train ride from Schiphol, 2 min walk and you are there
Fantastic with art in room and everywhere in the hotel
Great welcome by staff in reception
Cons
Breakfast really not good limited selection and what was there was cold. E.g. pancakes and sausages was cold when eating at 08.30 on a Monday morning. No staff to ask for help
In a 5-star hotel where art is integrated in the experience, its not adding to the experience that all the time we were there 3 big ugly trays with cleaning material and new sheets was parked with outside our door
Customer service the worst I have ever experienced we forgot a shopping bag (with receipt in it) a week later, after 15+ contacts and long time on the phone the hotel gives you a zero star service. They have obviously invested in art and location, and not in their staff.

Not recommended for romantic city trips

Not recommended for romantic city trips

Unfortunately not worth 5 stars. Very expensive, but the service is very manageable. The hotel rooms also show more signs of wear. You have to go through the restaurant to get into the sauna area. This is a joke. Empty bar, dirty floor. A small paddling pool. Wellness room without window. For a very large gym.
The only highlight of the very friendly concierge service.

Best hotel I've stayed at to date! Many, many good reasons to visit (location, art, food, spa...), but it was the staff that made it for me, attentive yet not imposing, going above and beyond with a seemingly genuine smile.

Very impressed with the service and quality of Art'otel Amsterdam. It was my first time in Amsterdam and my first time in Europe for that matter too. The staff was very helpful in giving directions or suggestions to places around the hotel. The restaurant was incredible too. Special thanks goes out to Jamal (Doorman), Adriana (Server), Neilson (Front Desk) and Karolina (Front Desk). Def will come back here next time in Amsterdam.

We visited the cocktail bar down the hotel with 5 people. I had to send back 4 times a cocktail because it was not good. At a moment 2 guys came at out table and told us we had to pay. It was not closing time but they wanted to close our table. We paid. But I complained. The manager was embarrassed and made apology for the waiter. No so good.

Update en dan ook nog bijdehand reageren op de review. Schaam je. Hierdoor zal ik nog lager waarderen.
