Positive: beautiful works, very interesting temporary exhibitions, some interactive screens very well done, correct price
Negative: logic of exhibition of the works difficult to understand, common space (corridor) immense, empty and cold (that concrete / iron) which does not want to stroll, some touch screens not at all ergonomic (birds, butterflies)

Very nice museum, modern and beautiful exhibitions. By cons very difficult to access by car. Too bad it is no longer possible to have a reduced rate with the Confluence card except for booking on the internet and only on Wednesdays but the normal rate is reasonable and in addition it is free for those under 18, it is is good to go there with family.

This museum is particularly interesting and rich in various exhibitions. I love Buddhas. I recommend to do this tour and moreover the museum is architecturally very successful. Climb to the heights to see the view you will not be disappointed it's safe.

On a rainy day and you keep your grandchildren this is the ideal cultural place. (In case of strong heat too.)
Everything is interesting, you have to take the time to watch, read and come back because there is a lot to see.

Subscriptions, easy parking on the other side of the BARRE bridge, various exhibitions and easy reception while respecting the rules of distance and barrier gestures, free entry for children, all you have to do is make an internet request with the name of the children. They really like the exhibitions seen so far, there are also workshops for children but be careful depending on the age not to exceed their capacity to absorb images and information, for now with our little ones. 5 1/2 and 7 is 2 hours maximum

Very interesting anthropological museum with permanent exhibit focusing on origins of humanity and different cultural understandings. Main issues were in respect of the flow of the exhibits (sometimes difficult to figure out where to go next) and the swell of people - which is admittedly difficult to avoid.

Free coat check is a plus and remember to buy your tickets online so you can avoid the queue. This can be done on your phone instantly. Little place to eat at the to floor which serves sandwiches and a couple tarts.

Superb museum. Unfortunately, I couldn't go around seeing the crowds, but everything I saw made me feel better.
The only problem is the location of the car park, which is very poorly indicated. I had to go around several times so as not to find it and have it indicated to me by a security agent, who in view of the cars following me must spend his day indicating it.

Very nice museum of natural history. The architecture of the building is extraordinary. Beautiful temporary exhibitions and the permanent exhibition is great for the children who are actors of their visit. On the other hand, many people in smaller rooms do not appreciate this museum at its fair value

It does not convince me to the end, still deconstructivism now room originality or particular charm. I give three stars only for the beauty of the position and the insertion in the context, and why not for the cultural animation. The permanent collection is not among my interests but the exhibition calendar always offers something interesting. Discreet catering service (the best is the view). Dearest bookshop

The building is the highlight, hands down. Great architecute, grand scale, and right on the water.

Unfortunately the museum itself was pretty mediocre. The permanent exhibits are only loosly themed, and seem to bounce around from topic to topic with little cohesion. At one point, I found myself standing between an old African shield and a particle accellerator with no real reason for them to be in the same wing, much less the same room.

The day we were there, the museum was also having trouble with their smoke detectors. Every few seconds you'd hear a loud BEEP from somewhere in the room. The timing and position constantly changed, which made it very difficult to pay attention to the exhibits. None of the staff I saw seemed to be concerned.

There was a lot of controversy after this museum was opened due to cost overruns. Given the final product that the city of Lyon ended up with, I'd say they're right to be mad.

Great
