There are interesting temporary exhibitions. It also offers workshops for children.
Positive: beautiful works, very interesting temporary exhibitions, some interactive screens very well done, correct price
Negative: logic of exhibition of the works difficult to understand, common space (corridor) immense, empty and cold (that concrete / iron) which does not want to stroll, some touch screens not at all ergonomic (birds, butterflies)
There is a wide range of exposure.
The staff are welcoming.
Pleasant surroundings.
Easy access by public transport if you come from the agglomeration.
Magnificent museum with a wealth of collections on display. The ticket is valid for the day which allows you to take your time to visit the rooms.
Grandiose museum, built by Austrian architects. Didactically excellent.
Very interesting but you have to plan the whole day or more. We did in 3 hours that a room and a half. If you look and read everything, patience
By cons the restaurant is super expensive and no service. Burger I have to heat in the microwave, do not bring that! Microwave meat!
Not great.
An original museum with its exhibitions and its modern, futuristic architecture.
Beautiful example is modern architecture, a splendid balance of light, water and metal. To be seen!
A superb place with very beautiful exhibitions. To visit but plan a little time!
The culture in the best: accessible, intelligent, informative and beautiful simply
A brilliant place. Full of interesting exhibitions.
Very interesting museum with varied exhibitions. The permanent exhibition is also very impressive
Beautiful exhibition and ideal with children over 8 years old!
Very nice museum, modern and beautiful exhibitions. By cons very difficult to access by car. Too bad it is no longer possible to have a reduced rate with the Confluence card except for booking on the internet and only on Wednesdays but the normal rate is reasonable and in addition it is free for those under 18, it is is good to go there with family.
A little disappointed with the questionable use of space. A beautiful place ... but not as impressive as what I expected. Too bad the price of (few) refreshments is so low.
Great for both adults and children. Clear explanations. Pleasant place
Apart from the permanent exhibitions I did not appreciate at all.
A wonderful museum, very interesting and with various exhibitions. I totally recommend it. Plus, it is free for minors and students under 26.
The exhibition on Antarctica was perfect.
Permanent Expo not necessarily attractive.
This museum is particularly interesting and rich in various exhibitions. I love Buddhas. I recommend to do this tour and moreover the museum is architecturally very successful. Climb to the heights to see the view you will not be disappointed it's safe.
Museum ultra modern and bright with interesting exhibitions that are renewed several times a year. In addition, the price of entry is minimal (less than 10 ) and free for under 18s.
Interesting permanent collections. Competent and welcoming staff
It's beautiful, it's diverse and varies! I recommend!
Lyon went on a ride, I always advise them to go to this museum
On a rainy day and you keep your grandchildren this is the ideal cultural place. (In case of strong heat too.)
Everything is interesting, you have to take the time to watch, read and come back because there is a lot to see.
Bad, very normal exposures. The beautiful building. You can save your ticket
Subscriptions, easy parking on the other side of the BARRE bridge, various exhibitions and easy reception while respecting the rules of distance and barrier gestures, free entry for children, all you have to do is make an internet request with the name of the children. They really like the exhibitions seen so far, there are also workshops for children but be careful depending on the age not to exceed their capacity to absorb images and information, for now with our little ones. 5 1/2 and 7 is 2 hours maximum
Just wow !!! In super museum which has as main theme the Life
Very interesting anthropological museum with permanent exhibit focusing on origins of humanity and different cultural understandings. Main issues were in respect of the flow of the exhibits (sometimes difficult to figure out where to go next) and the swell of people - which is admittedly difficult to avoid.
Free coat check is a plus and remember to buy your tickets online so you can avoid the queue. This can be done on your phone instantly. Little place to eat at the to floor which serves sandwiches and a couple tarts.
Really a great discovery. Aside from the architecture of the building, this museum is magnificent.
Really nice building and expositions were also impressive!
Museum to do absolutely! Unique and extraordinary experience through the different rooms that tells the story of the Man and the living Expo on Corto Maltese must ...
It is nice to meet there and visit the exhibitions, there are several very interesting ones, it's great we don't hesitate to admire the exhibitions. At the last one you can rest and have a snack, the view is superb.
The shop has a lot of choice of gifts etc ...
We have to go.
They have alot of varied artefacts at this place. Some great things. But I didn't like how it was all arranged. The categories are a bit weird.
From creation to evolution of man a visit
One caveat the ability catering very inadequate
Beautiful architecture. Exhibitions diverse and varied. Recommended
Beautiful museum with exhibitions that are all the time and regularly temporary exhibitions that allow you to always see new things coming regularly. Small movies and fun games to interress also children. The decor and modern and easy access by public transport the museum being in front of the tram stop t1.
Very interesting museum, new exhibitions regularly and a very rich permanent exhibition. Superb architecture and very nice view from the roof!
Superb museum. Unfortunately, I couldn't go around seeing the crowds, but everything I saw made me feel better.
The only problem is the location of the car park, which is very poorly indicated. I had to go around several times so as not to find it and have it indicated to me by a security agent, who in view of the cars following me must spend his day indicating it.
Museum very educational .exhibition splendid.Tres beautiful discovery
Museum accessible for free for students! I recommend to take advantage of the various exhibitions on site.
Alliance of Architecture and Living History what an experience
Beautiful and impressive. Access by car to avoid: expensive and inconvenient.
Very good museum according to the different exhibitions.
A museum of a very high quality.
I go there regularly.
Welcoming place.
Temporary exhibitions of very good quality.
Very nice museum of natural history. The architecture of the building is extraordinary. Beautiful temporary exhibitions and the permanent exhibition is great for the children who are actors of their visit. On the other hand, many people in smaller rooms do not appreciate this museum at its fair value
Very nice building with nice clear and interesting exhibitions
Modern, intriguing place. With beautiful exhibitions. Comfort, accessibility.
Very beautiful architecture, finally creatif. Bravo!
It does not convince me to the end, still deconstructivism now room originality or particular charm. I give three stars only for the beauty of the position and the insertion in the context, and why not for the cultural animation. The permanent collection is not among my interests but the exhibition calendar always offers something interesting. Discreet catering service (the best is the view). Dearest bookshop
Incredible place with the human history and world's origins! And much more, I totally recommend!!!
The building is the highlight, hands down. Great architecute, grand scale, and right on the water.
Unfortunately the museum itself was pretty mediocre. The permanent exhibits are only loosly themed, and seem to bounce around from topic to topic with little cohesion. At one point, I found myself standing between an old African shield and a particle accellerator with no real reason for them to be in the same wing, much less the same room.
The day we were there, the museum was also having trouble with their smoke detectors. Every few seconds you'd hear a loud BEEP from somewhere in the room. The timing and position constantly changed, which made it very difficult to pay attention to the exhibits. None of the staff I saw seemed to be concerned.
There was a lot of controversy after this museum was opened due to cost overruns. Given the final product that the city of Lyon ended up with, I'd say they're right to be mad.
Themes a little mixed sometimes. An average area. Friendly
Extra often comes exhibitions that often turn free entrance for young students and unemployed the building is beautiful as the confluence area do not hesitate
Well-designed exhibition and original and unique place
Superb museum for both adults and children. The last floor permanent exhibition more oriented if young children.
It is a place of interest to all generations, even children have seen 4 year olds who were in awe of the dinosaur skeleton.
