Good place for my sweet tooth that craves cake. Love their tiramisu and the brownies, too. Just be prepared to pay about $9 per slice of cake.

Great desserts, portions are fairly large and delicious. Nice laid back area to hang out and enjoy a cup of coffee as well.

Very filling. This place has a great atmosphere. Mood here reminds me of San Diego's scene.

Cute place with wonderful dessert. I highly recommend the chocolate dipped chocolate chunk cookies.
They have a wide variety of cakes and a small selection of other desserts. A bit pricey (~$8 a slice).
Avoid the lunch items - not worth it and taste is average at best.

Nice atmosphere. I had three key lime pie, which is on of my favorite desserts. I was not impressed.

Let me just say, I am so so so SO happy that I don't live anywhere near this place, because if I did, I'm pretty sure my waist size would be measured in feet, not inches. It's that good. Last time I went with a friend, we got several kinds of macaroons (absolutely delicious, with the raspberry being the star), the layered lemon cake (so lemony that it perfectly straddled the line between mouth pucker and sweet), and the cosmic chocolate cake. Let me tell you, that cosmic cake is absolutely named appropriately, because it was out of this world. With two layers of brownies, multiple layers of chocolate (the meringue was especially to die for) and an eye-widening layer of mocha mousse, that cake knocked my figurative socks off. It came out to around $20 for the two slices and two macaroons, so it's not exactly cheap, but you absolutely get what you pay for. Totally worth it.

Well, I did not have a pleasant experience in this store during my first visit to Dessert Gallery. Three of us ordered one of their cake to dine inn. They provided a togo box with cake inside. When I asked about a plate they said they don t provide because of COVID !!! I think it was total BS. Then as I was walking out an African American gentleman with his wife walked in without a mask and asked one of the employees if they could provide one so he could order dessert. Cashier got so upset and told the man to leave the store immediately. The customer got upset and simply and nicely asked he forgot his mask, if they have one he could pay the mask also. Cashier told the customer that he would call police if he didn t leave the store. SUMMARY IS THAT STORE IS NOT A FRIENDLY PLACE . I don t think I am going back again even if thy sell the best cake ever.

The people there are friendly and helpful, they make the whole transaction very fast. Great selection of various baked goods.

The atmosphere is nice. There is Free wifi and lots of seating. But the Dessert Gallery aren't served with cream and my tea was just okay. The match white chocolate scone was on its own though.

Manager is disgracefully rude - didn t have spoons for ice cream and told me I was foolish for not eating it with a fork and made a huge scene in front of all the customers. Very embarrassing for Dessert Gallery - all the customers had a look of horror and disgust on their face. It was an Asian lady manager - also refused to give me the owner s details or corporate email address, hence I m leaving a Google review. Avoid this place at all costs - the staff and manager are disgraceful and unwelcoming.

Got the carrot cake and strawberry cheesecake! So delicious!

I ordered a large strawberry cake online came to pick it up and somehow got a red velvet cake with "Happy birthday Mimi" on it. Cakes cost quite a bit to mix them up. I have been coming to Dessert gallery since you were on the other street and you never returned my email or call to fix your $60 error THANKS

Great dessert, good coffee and friendly service that is worth at least 4 stars. Crappy outdoor seating area, so just can't give it a 5.

Seriously is service with a smile extinct? I walk on and apparently I wasn't standing in the right line (even though there was social distancing stickers on the floor where I was). The lady didn't acknowledge me and when she tried to attend people who just walked in, I expressed I haven't been helped. The lady condescendingly stated I wasn't standing in the right place. I tell her she should have told me instead of not acknowledge my existence and she didn't bother to apologize or care she cause offense (clearly it was intentional). I won't pay to get treated that way. No money for bad service.

We've been fans for years. It's a lovely late-night stop for all ages and groups of any size. Spectacular desserts, great coffee, clean decor. Awesome.

Really cool place for dessert lovers! They had a huge variety of cakes to choose from (and cute cookies to buy!), and had a choice to add a scoop of Amy's Ice Cream to your cake. The slices are huge, and even for someone with a sweet tooth like me, hard to eat all at once, so you also have some to take home! The atmosphere was really open and inviting, too. Really cool place to go with friends.

I ve been going to Dessert Gallery for years, I remember when there was a location near the Galleria. I went in yesterday for a slice of the French Vanilla cake. It was so moist, the icing was perfect and I do like the new packaging. I stopped going for a while, because the customer service had declined, the cake slices were small and the cake it self was not fresh. Yesterday s visit was great and my cake slice was very delicious!

Went in with my girlfriend to just kill some time. I thought she was going to need a wheelbarrow to get me out. Awesome cake and brownie bars.

Lovely place. Everything is so beautiful. 3 leches is my favorite. I always try to get me slice when I'm near by!! Pricey but worth it!

I'm was trying to surprise my daughter with some new lemon bars. One of here favorite dessert stores closed because of covid. Im trying dessert gallery for the first time.

Ice cream was way over priced and wasn't very good at all. You'd be better off at Baskin Robbins.

The desserts were awesome. We got 4 different slices of cake and they were all great.

This place use to be my all time favorite dessert place in Houston. This location was the first one I ever went to, I use to go to the Post Oak one when it existed. I'm disappointed that this recent time around, I was left un-impressed with the desserts. I ordered a Red Velvet Cupcake and a Monkey Bar (I think it was called). The Monkey Bar is a hybrid between a brownie, but it was very hard, not really what I was thinking. The cupcake was the same, it was not moist. And the icing was very hard. I'm saddened the quality is not there anymore.

The parking at this location can be a nightmare during lunch hours apparently, we circled the parking lot a few times waiting for a spot to open up. So it was more disappointing that the effort was wasted on desserts that were lacking the taste and quality.

My go-to spot to satisfy the sweet tooth! The Diner Cake and Coconut Cakes are so good!

Great sweets, but terrible customer service. You re better off going to another place because the sweets aren t special and you shouldn t go through the terrible treatment.

$27.95 for a 6" cake and they refuse to write happy birthday unless I pay another $5 for a plaque IN THE WRONG COLOR! Are you kidding me? Never again.

Absolutely love coming here and trying some cake. Don't limit yourself to slices of cake though as they have great drinks and an assortment of baked goods that tickles a sweet tooth just right. Id recommend the brownies or a slice of Old Fashioned Diner Cake.

Called for a hour straight from 8:40pm-9:40pm and no one wanted to answer the phone. On a Thursday night this place's business volume isn't busy enough to not be able to pick up a phone. Pure LAZINESS! there was a quick $400 order you arent going to get now because of the incompetence.

Overpriced in my opinion for a slice of cake and mediocre coffee. The barista didn't know what i ordered.

The people here are needlessly arrogant and purposely rude for no reason other than the simple fact that they can be. Do not waste your time speaking with management. The chief operating officer Nicole is easily offended should a customer dare attempt to discuss a legitimate concern. She absolutely refuses to listen and will not allow you an opportunity to have an intelligent conversation. To say that she's argumentative would be an understatement. Condescending is a more appropriate description. If you visit this location and do not have your expectations met per their fraudulent claims of customer care, do not dare any attempt of speaking with management about your legitimate concerns. Management will needlessly make the situation worse by intentionally speaking down to you. Please take this warning seriously. For further proof, please scroll through the other reviews and you'll realize that this business does not provide sincere customer care. The one star rating equates to 0 stars for their lack of any attempt at customer care.

It was my 1st time to visit. Exceptional customer service!! Very friendly and assisted me with my questions! I will definitely go back again and refer everyone to check out this awesome cute yummy dessert shop

I have urges to eat something from here at least 3 times a week and I'm on a diet...so I minimize my calories all day just to save room for DESSERT GALLERY. I thought I was gonna lose it when they were closed on the 4th of July but you better believe I'll be there tomorrow.

Really excellent Tres Leche cake! I wanted the best in town for a friends birthday- all guests agreed it was the best Tres Leches they had ever had. Even my dieting friends had 2 servings

7/7/16: WOW! Yet again! I stopped by for a quick bite and was given my own slice of heaven! Staff was pleasant as usual and this wonderful slice of strawberry cake has truly satisfied my soul. Moist, full of flavor, perfectly whipped icing, just enough icing to make the cake magical and irresistible. Living in Houston, Visiting Houston for a day or a few minutes, make sure you stop by here. Not to mention THEY'RE OPEN LATE!!! *deep sigh* I think I'm in love! Hope you enjoy.

Omg so I just left this location. Couldn't wait to try my cake and my Gawd!! I took the advice of the nice young man that helped me Mr Jordy. This slice of Strawberry & Cream cake is AMAZING! Jesus himself baked this cake. I will definitely be back. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

Our friends took us here it was delicious. I got the snickerdoodle and mocha. The cookie was so soft and a great size. I love how they have options for desserts.

Went to pick up a slice of cake. Service was good and usually I don't mind the slices being cold however, this time the cake wasn't as moist and I was disappointed. Maybe I just picked a wrong day but I wish the cake would have been fresh and moist tasting. I ordered the "diner cake" which is butter cake with milk chocolate icing.

You can never go wrong with ANY of the dessert from here. The cafe is spacious but can get full during peak times. Parking can also be a challenge during peak times.

Every time I visit the Dessert Gallery I leave incredibly pleased. I love the cosmic birthday cake and the petit fours are so delicious I'm tempted to buy a whole box every time. Definitely will return again soon.

Background: Went here with my girlfriend for late night sweet-tooth fix. This was my first, and only, time there.

Look and Feel:
- Very upper-kirby kind of place. Modern/chic and fancy dog treats on display. Also, there's a pretty good amount of seating for being a dessert place and a couple of tables outside as well.

Food&Drink:
- I got an italian espresso and we split some sort of crazy brownie-ice cream thing. The brownie had a great consistency (not too gooey but not too cake-y with a crunchy top) and they use Amy's ice cream so can't go wrong with that.

PROS:
- The server was super helpful and even described what each of their specialty coffees consisted of (because I know nothing about coffee). She even gave me a free espresso shot because I looked so tired
- They use Amy's ice cream
- Open till 12am on a weeknight

CONS:
- Price was pretty up there, but then again it's in upper kirby and everything is over priced.

Overall:
- The brownie-ice cream dessert we had was good, but that's all that I can vouch for. All I can say is that I was impressed by the above-and-beyond service and the fact that it stays open later than a lot of dessert places.

The Big O was a white and dark chocolate mousse with an Oreo crust and Oreo pieces. I could not finish my slice it was so decadent (and huge). The prices are what you'd expect to see for dessert at a restaurant.

Walked in before Christmas expecting a long wait but this place is so organized that every time I go, I get what I need in a timely fashion. The cupcakes are awesome. Tasty without being overly sweet and moist without sticking to your fingers.

Had Unicorn cake and mom's chocolate slice. Quick to move through the line and open late. Also had coffee options and cute additions to shop such as candles, etc. Would return!

Wonderful. I had the lemon blueberry cake and a peanut butter cookie. I look forward to going back and trying their sand tarts. No one ever has said tarts and that is one of my favorite desserts. The interior was very comfortable and chic. The selection was varied enough that I struggled briefly to decide but not so large that you feel like you're just guessing or that you feel like it isn't made in house. I asked and the staff said most of their stuff was made in house but some of it got made at a separate local kitchen. That seemed like a perfect compromise in operations. I worked at one bakery that had like 50 items to choose from and half of them were frozen or just a recipe on a box so I look for signs of that in other bakeries. Probably the best cake I've ever had.

The cakes here are great! Cake Gallery saved me when the cake fell through at the last moment for my mom's 65. They were open on Sunday with beautiful cakes ready for purchase. Should have come here first!

It had been maybe 6-7 years since I'd visited, but they still serve my favorite cakes. To commemorate my first visit of what I hope to be many to come, we split Jennifer's Birthday Cake, a very chocolaty and moist cake that is as good as I remembered it to be. We're looking forward to trying the other mainstays, as well.

The place picked up on a Sunday afternoon but the bright, open space didn't make it feel too crowded.

I love that they still show cake decorating on the TVs while I eat a delicious cake and have fun conversation.

The only disappointment we had was that the cappuccinos were okay at best. However, the coffee cut the cake as intended, so it wasn't the end of the world.

Bathroom was okay but men's and women's are both singles, so may have to wait if occupied.

I stayed for 30 minutes waiting my order which it was only classic cheesecake. Bad service and the manager and the stuff were so rude. Not recommended place ever.

I went with my family and we tasted different cakes really good each one of them. Coconut cake, Lemon cake, Carrot cake everyone delicious. Good coffee too! We ll come back for sure.
