Lovely clean modern theatre with an intimate feel but good access. Excessive prices for sweets though - bring your own!

Always enjoy shows at this venue. Small and close to the stage no matter where you sit.
A bit pricy. Lighting not to good between shows for people entering. Sound, viewing and variety excellent. Comfortable seating.
An excellent theatre, been to a few shows all very different all equally as good, the 2 performances for children we have seen fascinated my 6 yr old,the staff are exceptional, friendly, and efficient, and will go iut of their way to help, the food is good although a bit pricey for us,we love this theatre.
We came to see the Christmas play earlier, in December, and it was super. We loved the colours of the set and costumes. We also like the way they combine musical instruments in the singing parts of the play. Very talented. Good value for money.
Been to see both Goldilocks and Hansel and Gretel this Christmas both where enchanting.
Alice in wonderland, was a good twist on the classic. Well put together. The theatre itself is bigger than you would expect and comfortable
Comfortable place to be, I enjoyed the performance.
Went to see with my friend : Get a round : last night 30/05/15 if that is the standard of derby theatre, i will never go again, it was absolute rubbish, 3 girls acting out getting drunk on stage, one girl talking into a bucket for 10 mins, did not understand it at all, the people cheering must have been their family. relieved afterwards to talk to some other people in the audience outside and they thought the same.really disappointing, never again.
I love this magical place, 15 years of going and counting, cosy and atmospheric
This is a wonderful place. Whats not to like about theatres.
The food was very dry and the staff where surly and unapproachable would not come back or recommend to anyone
Hansel and Gretel very good performance my granddaughter loved it
We went to see A Christmas Carol... The whole cast were excellent, the singing, sets and production was fab. We were in row B so had an excellent view.
Derby Theatre is a great place to visit (I've also been with my school for the Big Sing) hopefully for generations to come.
Love this place. My home from home and the best theatre around, hands down
Great show in a comfortable theatre. Good bar and friendly staff. Easy to park in Intu basement parking right under the theatre
I went to see Frankenstein- I enjoyed the production, sound, lighting, performances all good. Slightly let down by inadequate bar service; I gave up trying to get served in the end, though I do understand that it's always going to be difficult when everyone wants to get served all at the same time at the interval.
Great place to visit, providing there is something you want to see. The sets are brilliant.
I only used the cafe. The best toasted sandwich I have had in a long time. Melted in your mouth!
Went to see noughts and crosses this weekend which was a great production. This is a fairly intimate theatre but the seating is quite steep which means everyone gets a good view. Only downside is it could do with a cloakroom as not much space for bulky coats in winter.
Saw The Impotance of Being Earnest. It was brilliant! Love this theatre.
Went to see Dishoom, a good play done brilliantly by all the cast members. Will go again to see another one when I can.
Great theartre with a nice bar.Plus nice seats with good foot space e.t.c.
A very good show jasper carrot and the band absolutely brilliant
Great show, very multi talented cast. My grandson and I really enjoyed the show. Derby Theatre is a great venue too.
Brilliant productions always at Derby theatre with great staff.
Great place to watch good quality theatre. Easy to park, tea coffee etc and plenty of restaurants locally
Great little theatre, friendly atmosphere, bar and snacks. Show was awesome (blood brothers).
Friendly theatre. Always welcoming. Good 'in house' productions. Try their 'afternoon tea' - we did and enjoyed it
Derby is a great theatre. Wished they would throw out numpties who insist on using phones during performances. You can only ask these idiots to turn their phones off so many times.
Fantastic night at Derby Theatre watching One Man Two Governors. Do not miss this. Only a week left
We spent time at the playhouse visiting the sight forum and white there we had a look around and there are great shows coming up. Then we went had some amazing food from the food court and lastly we went into the eagle center market .
Super show - much ado about nothing. Attentive, polite staff.
Derby Theatre puts on a wide variety of plays most of which I enjoy but as a teaching theatre there very few comedies most plays seem to want to educate me rather than entertain
A very familiar site. Adequate price and good facilities for modest works. Really enjoyed it
Watched drama little red riding hood. Brilliantly performed.
Super little theatre. I ve been here plenty of times. They always have plenty of interesting productions on and the staff are great. Super easy parking either downstairs or in the larger Intu parking. You also have lots of restaurants upstairs. The theatre has a cafe with seating, wheelchair access and a bar upstairs.
A brilliant place to go for a night out some great shows
Firstly, i think it's superb that Derby's theatre was rescued from closure some years ago. After financial difficulties it is now open again and thriving, with some great shows and performances. For this I give it five stars.
Went to see little red riding hood by hiccup theatre group, fantastic.
Was in a small theatre but ideal for that type of performance.
Parking was easy as it's in the same mall as the theatre .
Nice cafe in the entrance . coffee was good
Great little theatre and it is really good to see it back putting on the kind of plays and other shows that have wider appeal.
Great venue with a high rake so all seats have a good view
First time at this theatres and was very impressed. Fresh feeling re the decor and layout. Lovely amphitheatre shape and a perfect small to medium sized theatre.
Didn't even really need microphones for the Q&A.
I'm looking forward to another excuse to visit again.
Good cafe -small but quieter atmosphere in the Theatre foyer area. Worth a visit.
Seen Joseph technicolor dreamcoat tonight. Absolutely brilliant cast and easy to park too
We were in the small space around the car park. Its accessible but awkward. Saw Little Red Riding Hood and the show was great.
Fantastic place to have a great time. From when you walk in the staff are all friendly and helpful.Cafe, great food served and a good price again staff all great. The plays are brilliant, been to a lot and we have enjoyed every one.
Great theatre most seats afford a good view. Cafe serves drinks cakes dabdwhiches etc. There is a Bistro but not tried it. A bar upstairs as well.
Went in for coffee only 4 people in cafe, waited 10mins no one behind the counter so I went to Rosa's cafe served straight away
Great little theatre. Staff always very friendly and helpful.
Had the pleasure of meeting Gill Simms here tonight. Nice little theatre however the organisation of seating and staff was dismal and really needs re thinking.
Nice theatre where we have watched many shows. Just watched the production of Joseph and it was brilliant.
Can't take pictures inside but Frankenstein told by Mary Shelley was great love it
Everything was good apart from the SEAT, IT WAS VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. It gave me a back ache.
Lasted visited here with the husband and friends for the performance of Hamlet. The production was fantastic and great value for the cost of tickets. We usually come here quite regular once a month or so to see there wonderful range of events. There Christmas Carol production was amazing and no wonder it turned out to be so popular! The staff are helpful and friendly and it always gives a great buzz of atmosphere when your here. Will continue to watch out for future events and strongly recommend to others to plan a visit.
Just been to see Frankenstein it was a brilliant adaptation of a classic book. Best play I've seen for a long time and I go to theatres most weekends. The theatre had comfortable seating and I'm 6'4. The bars and cafe easily accessible and reasonable prices. Car park next to theatre with direct access. Overall a great experience. Thank you
