One of the best national parks I have ever been to. We never felt like we were going to get lost, signs and maps available and along the route any splits in the trail were marked so you knew which trail you were going on. My family and I are from Michigan so even the drive to the trail head s had unbelievable views. Yes, we were the people getting out of our car on the side of the road to take pictures. No shame in that. This was our first visit to Mount Rainier but it will definitely not be our last.

It was a great experience in Mount Rainier National Park. I loved it. We went to Paradise visitor center then we walked around in Skyline trail. There are still lot of snow in middle of July. People who didn t see snow cap mountain before it s a great opportunity for them. When you go up through trail, please don t walk fast. Try to go up slowly. So that you don t get out of breath. More you hike up better view you will get for mount Rainier. When we were walking through Skyline trail, we visited myrtle falls too. From myrtle fall the view for Mountain was awesome. If you go little more higher about a mile or two, you might be able to bears or mountain lions. If you can wear water resistant pants so that you can slide on snow!! There are lot of safe place around the mountain for that. When you come to the park, please please please use viewpoints! If you don t you will miss lot of extraordinary views.

Park entry fee is $30 per vehicle but annual fee is $55. Either way it s worth it. For $30 you will be a able to explore for a week.

Great experience. Clean facilities (at Paradise at least). Food is expensive (but anyone with common sense would know that).

You need chains in your car if it is before May (Check before you go).

Beautiful sites, weather can change quickly.

Mount Rainier National Park is an amazing wonder of Washington state! Alpine lakes, flower fields, meadows, trees, wildlife.... The park has it all. And that's not including the main attraction - Mount Rainier! Be careful trying to hike some of the trails, as they can be dangerous. Altitude sickness is also a possibility at Paradise (a part of the park).

Gorgeous place for anyone who's looking to go outdoors and camp, backpack, shoot photography, and my personal favorite view the stars at the base of the mountain on a clear night over reflection lake.

I could fill chapters in a book expressing how amazing this place is. It's worth the visit. Don't just go to the visitor centers. There is much more to the park on the trails. We entered the park both through the Nisqually and Sunrise entrances. I suggest planning to visit both. The scenery is drastically different. Both are gorgeous!

One of the most peaceful places I have ever visited. My wife and I stayed at a true log cabin just outside the park and ate a Yak burger for the first time.
Need some peace and beautiful surroundings? This is a great spot.

Ever entertaining iconic volcanic peak of pacific northwest long overdue for eruption. Multiple lakes, meadows and falls decorate the scene under the mountain's glacier. If you love trails, you will love Mt. Rainier National Forest. Always plan to spend a few days if not a full week for this nature's beauty.

Avoid the longmire entrance if possible. It adds at least an hour each way up to paradise due to road construction. Be patient at paradise for a parking spot. You will most likely need to wait for someone to leave. The area is gorgeous. The history of the lodge is interesting.

I would give 5 stars if this park wasn't jammed packed all summer! Be prepared to wait in the entrance line for atleast an hour! Arrive early to avoid the crowds! Besides that... the alpine lakes are turquoise blue, the mountains are full of glaciers, the waterfalls are thundering year round, and you have a chance to see wildlife! Enjoy!

There is so much to see in this park that I don t know where to start. There are lakes, waterfalls, cliffs, rock formations, impressive trees, wild life, snow, and of course that glorious summit of Mount Rainer peering out from behind the clouds.

What a beautiful place to visit! There is a road that allows you to drive around the mountain with great places to pull off and take pictures. Paradise is a must for people that want to get out and do a little hiking. Parking can be a little tough during the summer but it is worth it! There are many trails from the observatory and it is a little steep so bring water and good shoes! You will be so happy with yourself as the views are breathtaking!!

I'm originally from Washington state, but have moved to Alabama. My husband and I flew back home with our 21 month old son. We wanted him to see snow. Unfortunately, there wasn't much snow on the mountain during our visit; If we would have waited a few days, we would have had a bunch of fresh snow. The $30 fee to enter the state park was ridiculous, but the receipt was good for a week.

We went to Mount Rainier in October 2017 and then in November 2017. There was completely changed outlook of Mount. Peaks were all covered with snow in place of greenery earlier in Oct. It was a welcome change. We went up on cable car, had snacks uphill, spent almost 2 hours sitting, enjoying the cold breeze and saw people skiing in snow. The whole trip was wonderful including car drive from Seattle.

This place is amazing. There are so many different hikes and small excursions you can do on your drive to the top. We went in May shortly after Paradise Inn opened and the weather was perfect. There was definitely still snow on the ground but the weather was still around 60 degrees at 5,000 feet. I will be coming back one day to climb this mountain and enjoy this national park again.

Best place in the PNW for relaxation, hiking, photography, or just breathing in the fresh air. Check the National Park website or twitter for current closures and delays. Come early in the day. And while Paradise gets the majority of the hype, Sunrise is by far my favorite!

Loved it. Amazing view of an amazing mountain. It's a family friendly park with fee of trails you can do with young kids. Couple of trails are even accessible with strollers. Ideal to visit during summer and weekday if possible. It gets crowded during weekends in summer.
