Amazing! Support the National Parks! What a treasure!
Mount Rainier is a great destination park. You can come here for just an afternoon and have a absolutely beautiful experience. There are three popular places to visit Longmire (best known for a small hot springs), Paradise and Sunrise. Each has a rustic lodge, gift shops, restaurants and a visitor center. The views of the mountain are simply amazing from Paradise and Sunrise. In summer as the snow melts, colorful flowers cover the slopes. High trails (elevation may bother some people) wind about, offering up-close pictures of some of the best mountain scenery with wildflowers anywhere.
Or one can choose to make a more extensive day trip hiking on smaller beautifully forested trails, or backpack week-long+ around the circumference of the peak, or climb across glaciers towards/to the summit. For hikers or backpackers, Mt Rainier has endless opportunities. For climbers, at over 14,000 ft in elevation, this park is on many a person s bucket list. Mt Rainier is a beautiful glaciated mountain where everybody should find an experience worthy of their visit.
Unreal, like you are in a portrait. Driving to the top is a little scary but very very beautiful
Super clean, bathrooms. We went to the paradise center.
It's the most beautiful place- so green it'll hurt your eyes!
This is one of my favorite national parks. It isn't too crowded, and everywhere you go the view is outstanding. The hiking near Paradise has easy accessible trails and beautiful, pristine and up close views of Mount Rainier.
One of the most beautiful places in the US. Absolutely love coming here.
Beautiful venue and park is well cared for. Gift shops open with limited numbers. Parking lot about half full. Visitor Center closed but rangers available for advice on trails, etc. Well worth the trip!
Mount Rainier National Park is BEAUTIFUL and FANTASTIC. Lots of camp sides, hiking sides, picnic side, plus you get to see and feel Green water river and White river. The scenery there is breath taking. Lots of things to do there.
Heavenly place. Highly recommended, make sure you have right gears and sun protection.
One of the best national parks. Good hiking trails for all ability levels.
Wonderful place but no cell phone or texting up there. Not even to find a person!
Even in thick fog this place is gorgeous. Someday I'd love to come back on a clear day and see its full beauty.
Stunning! Breathtaking! Downside is the park service. They have trash cans all over that say, "Traash Only, Please Recycle", yet have NO recycle cans anywhere so how exactly is one to recycle? They also still have "chains required" signs up (on a 90 degree day).
One of the most amazing things I have ever seen in my life. Ever.
Loved this park! A bit overcrowded, but plenty of trails to hike away from the crowds
Love the mountains in the winter, i would love to see how the summer is. Dont forget snow chains if you come in the winter or you get turned away.
Great place to take your family!! Best part was that, there's no cell reception.. :)
Beautiful if you get the right weather! We hiked in the rain and couldn't see the mountain at all from the trails around Paradise. If you get it on a good day it's absolutely stunning though.
Very very beautiful NP. I pretty enjoyed the time here.
Beautiful but not a great place if you are traveling with your dog.
the view here is fabulous and outstanding! don t forget to wear sunglasses and your camera ~if you are a skiing lover, this is definitely the best place to go in winter!
The scenery is amazing and the drive to the top is so much fun with things to stop and look at and hike
This would be a great place to go when it's not cloudy and drizzling off and on all day. For us it was only like this just this one day in early September! Mtn covered by clouds but the falls along the way were gorgeous! We went to the hotel for lunch to stay dry and ate in the small cafe vs the restaurant, then walked across the large parking lot to the visitor's center for their interesting displays and the gift shop.
Burroughs Mountain Loop hike. The view of Mt Rainier is mesmerizing.
Move over Disneyland: THIS is the happiest place on Earth! This park don't disappoint and she's got it all: trails of all levels, lakes, waterfalls, breathtaking views, ancient trees, wildlife, look outs galore, lodging, the list goes on! If you've never been, you're doing yourself a disservice. When visiting western Washington get over there at least for a day! Yes, I took these photos, they're from two different sides of the Mountain.
What's not to love about a National Park? 3 campgrounds, 2 main visitor centers, lots of trails, open year round with amazing snowshoeing opportunities, and more! Get a yearly pass to save money.
Must see the place once in lifetime.very Nice places
It's alright I guess, a very long drive from pretty much anywhere, a very steep hike, it costs like $30 bucks to get in , and ya , you see a mountain.
Or you could go to Snoqualmie Falls and see a bunch of stuff ,hike , and see a nice waterfall for FREE
Our trip to Washington would not have been complete if we wouldn't have came here. The views were amazing. We packed a lunch and when we stopped to eat, we had the opportunity to sit and watch some elk graze. One of the coolest Parts was leaving sea levelt a few hours before and then being up near a 14000 foot Peak mountain with almost vertical Cliffs.
Breathe taking! The are small trails and intense trails but either way the sites are amazing from the snow caped mountains in August, to glacier pools and the serene natural settings. The welcome center is great as well for historical information, gifts and hiking advice. If you are in this area or even a few hours away in Seattle, WA. you MUST make this trip. It was the highlight of ours.
Mount Rainer is always a great place to go! Lots of wildlife to see year round. Snow play area at Paradise is sure to please the kids, but don't forget your sleds!
July is the best time to visit Mt. Rainier National Park. Good amount of snow to enjoy with family and excellent for all levels of hikers. Mountaineers can go to Muir camp and do skiing as well. Very beautiful!
Incredible mountain. Go mid to late summer if you want all the trails to be open.
Never a bad time to visit - always something beautiful to experience year round.
Brearhtaking nature all around the drive is beautiful and there are different trails available
This was a suprising experience. Although 1/2 the park was closed do to snow, it was a wonderful place to spend the day.
The drive up to Paradise was long and really not too exciting.....then we arrived at Paradise and everything changed. God really did a wonderful job here! Awesome!!!@
The most breathtakingly beautiful place I've ever seen. Truly a hike unlike any other. The Skyline trail is the most rigorous of all routes, but likely the most scenic. I highly recommend it.
Lot of trails and paradise inn is also so much happening
Driving up to Paradise is worth the extra 30 mins one way but get there early if you want a parking spot even remotely close to the Visitor Center / Paradise Inn. The hike to Myrtle Falls is only 0.5 mi on a paved path to the right, follow the signs and take the extra 20 steps down to a hole in the trees to get this amazing waterfall view.
Can't say enough about how nice this park is and not nearly as busy as others we have visited...go and explore
Mt rainier was beautiful. A glacier, amazing. Nice walk ways to go to the top, plenty of room for all. Sunshine's, flowers bloomed.
Love this place. Can't say enough about the beutiful national treasure. Turn off the phones and the laptop and go for a hike.
We had a great time hiking the trails and exploring the roads. The sites here are gorgeous. The best part was several trails are wheelchair accessible. My dad took his powerchair up and down the paths and got to enjoy all of nature's beefy with us. We can't wait to go again this summer. I'm sure we will discover more hidden treasures.
Such a scenic and beautiful place, full of hikes for families all the way to the most experienced trekkers. Come in summer for beautiful flowers and spring and fall for snow and winter-like views.
Beautiful visitor center, Amazing view of Mt Rainier and the mountains. Altitude is 6400tf. If you are afraid of heights I would not recommend this visitor area. There are cliffs without rails or protection. Driving have to be with care and slow.
On hot days Mt Rainier can be hot even on that altitude, so don't bother on taking coats or jackets.
The entrance to this National Park is 30.00 a day or the annual pass of 55.00.
Also, there are mosquitoes and I advice to use a mosquito repellent or lotion. Have you car full of gas or with enough gas to return when driving this area because I didn't see any gas stations close by.
Picnic tables are available at the top.
This the best place that I know of in the US that brings you back to nature and makes you feel at peace especially when you are getting away from the city. The most beautiful place on Earth. Numerous hikes to go on and beautiful wildflowers. I highly recommend going to the ranger talks whether your camping or not. I've come here every year for the past 20 years if my life and there is always something knew to see and learn.
Obviously the park itself is fantastic. Way too crowded in the summer though.
The park was very well maintained and defiantly worth the drive up to Paradise for a bit of hiking in the early spring.
Very interesting place to visit. We enjoyed the walk to the scenic outlook over Mt Rainier and were lucky to have a perfect view. We met a nice elderly couple from Seattle who volunteer most weeks and were very knowledgeable on many things.
Great location. So many hiking places. You ll need a pass to hit most of it.
There s plenty of viewpoints leading up.
One of the most beautiful and picturesque places on earth. So incredibly beautiful!! The views of Mt Rainier are wonderful.
This Visit I got an amazing view.. just heaven
Before Visiting do check the weather for a better view..
A beautiful place and breathtaking will be going back to explore.
Stunning place, best if you have more than one day.
I just fell in love with this place!!! Just the drive was simply the best ever!!! I never knew I would like the mountains as I'm a sea person.. but it's a beauty that just engulfed my mind and spirits. Nature at its best!!!
Skinned up to watch the sunset 5/5 would recommend.
Awe of it's beauty. Need an entire week+ to really experience all it has to offer
Amazing place with a crazy amount of hiking trails and activities. Can get pretty busy and the lodging/food is pricey but it's worth it.
Beautiful mesmerizing place with view of mountains, gorgeous meadows and tree terrains
Great place to visit in the winter and experience real mountaineering, when weather allows.
Beautiful well kept park. Lots of driving, lots of curves. Easily spent half a day there and didn t even hike. Paradise loop this time of year is super colorful.
It's so beautiful anywhere you look was so surprised to see so much snow in late june. Was a wonderful day trip.
There is only one Mt. Rainier! You can never get enough or see it all. It's a truly amazing and spectacular place that you have to put on your bucket list as you'll never forget being there!!
Loved the scenery. We went mid-June so most of the snow melted (obviously) until you go higher (obviously). It was a little overwhelming because there were lots of people and we didn't know what trail to take.
Such an amazing place to visit. Nature is beautiful. The Mountain is impressive and gorgeous! Try it and you will love it!
Beautiful scenery, met nice people. Was pretty clean but we did pick up some garbage others left and packed it out.
The mountain needs no review, however the park needs to review and revise their policy regarding the opening/closing of the gate at Longmire. I do appreciate that the road is kept open during the winter which is no easy task.
How can you NOT go to this majestic mountain. You will see views like no other. If your time is limited here (military) or if you've been here your whole life (which we sometimes take sights for granted), THIS is a sight worth seeing. Many different trails, the view is amazing regardless of where you are. Theres also snow....in the summer!!!! My children were in shorts playing in the snow!!! Note to self: take snow gloves next time - they did mention that their hands were "frozen" , but they were having to good of a time to stop
