I love brining the kids here plus they have a great free day every month I m a huge fan of this spot it s a great place to bring the whole family

Lovely zoo with large habitats for the animals. Some animals seemed to be stressed however, most likely because of loud children and the heat. The novelty of walking through bird biomes and the birds having freedom to do as they please, was exceptional. The only drawbacks of this zoo are the lack of signage or organization of the habitats. It makes it hard to know where your wondering or if your going in the right direction.

Been to this zoo my whole life, and I've always loved it. The passion of the keepers and their dedication to the preservation of the animals there is apparent in every part of the zoo.

We have the Zoo for Two membership so we can take our 1.5yo anytime at the drop of a hat. Even though it's snowy (and you definitely want to wear boots!) we saw tamarins and lions and African wild dogs! The Denver Zoo is the best!

So many animals to see. Be prepared for a very long walk!

This is one of the very best zoos out there! Its not too expensive to go, but a very large zoo with tons of activities!

Went for the first time to Zoo Lights. Was really impressed and had tons of fun. I cant wait to go back and see the Zoo in the summer.

Parking sucks! I got there around 11, (I know the worst time to go, but I'm young oh well) and had to walk over a half mile to the main entrance. But over all great experience!

Hot, busy, no parking, bad children and low quality exhibits. Save your money, go to the cheyenne mountain zoo.

Great zoo, fun exhibits with lots of neat animals. Very fun for the kids!

Enjoyed seeing all the lights on display they make it look so beautiful, we ride the train and the kids loved it.

I LOVE this place! The new enclosures for a lot of the animals are wonderful. There is still lots of construction going on, but that simply means progress and improvement.

Great assortment of animals and friendly staff to guide you around and have additional side displays petting animals or explaining with props

Personal opinions aside about zoo's.. The Denver Zoo is a great place for holiday events especially! Always to the nines in decor and the layout accomadates the lovely lil creatures they have for all to learn about and see.

The Denver Zoo is a great place to take your family and friends to discover a world of animals you might have never heard of. Along with great food, this Zoo provides disguised educational system with many signs and interpretation stations throughout. Although the food is quite expensive, many would argue it is worth the cost.

It's been a long time since I've been to the Denver Zoo and I'm glad to see things have changed, have been expanded and that the place still looks good after all these years. I had a fun time with my friends here and as always the animals are always fun to see. Only downside is that for and drink are a bit expensive here.

My kids always love coming to the zoo. They have periodic free days too which are great!

the best staff, the best animals and the best family activity for little ones. I am so glad the Denver Zoo is here and so fun.

Parking is insane and falling apart. If you are lowered or got rims I'd drive something else

The Denver Zoo is great for anybody who likes to see animals from all over the world. They're constantly updating the zoo with new exhibits and take great care of there animals. Check out the new giraffe feeding station!

It's a great place to take my preschooler. She burns off energy and learns something new every time.

Was a great place and alot of fun there were a couple exhibits that were closed so that's why a star loss

Great zoo with many types of animals, loved the primate section. Its crowded though and the parking lot has no signs to say if its full! Lack of handicapped spaces, as well. We drove around for a good half-hour looking for a spot.

The food it's nice and the prices are really good, the staff it's very friendly and the best of all are the animals, they have a great variety of them!

A lot of interesting stuff for the children to see and enjoy.

I have seen many zoos. Denver zoo is one of the best. It is not overwhelming. Animals can be seen pretty up close. This is a well planned place. Satisfying and is worth the visit.

Really impressive exhibits and layout. It will not do justice to the zoo and staff to simply talk about how great it is there. I would highly recommend giving the zoo a visit and let it impress you first hand. If you enjoy Cheyenne Mountain, this will bring a sense of deja Vu.

Disappointed to find out Bird World has permanently closed.

The zoo light near Christmas are nice. I don't like how tranquil and inactive most animals are. These are obviously not a true depicion of their natural habitat.

Great place for family and children. Lots of Pokemon go stops too!

Loved it but didn't to see the whole park n ended up getting the boot.
We paid 70 for 4 kids n 1 adult. Wish I got my money's worth.

My family enjoyed the Denver Zoo almost as much as their adorable Hippopotamus does!

It was fun taking my grandson from Oklahoma to the zoo.

Loved the Denver Zoo, my family and I have been to many zoos and this is one of the better ones. The exhibits get you really close to some amazing well taken care of animals. I liked also that the zoo keepers we're working with the animals during business hours, that kind of interaction with the animals I've rarely seen before. My wife is also a Disney fan and she was stoked that she was able to get her dole whips here.

Pretty good place for a family and appears to be well-kept. Obviously a kid-friendly place. We ended up getting a membership this year because it's a nice place to just walk around on a nice weekend with the family.

The food options are good as well but obviously over-priced, as expected.

I like the variety of animals and it is easy to park. Parking is free

An absolutely terrible experience. The zoo has a great exhibit for apes, and African mammals but the big cats exhibit was the worst, most cruel thing I have ever seen. The snow leopard has a closet size cage to sit in all day and when the workers decide to lock it inside then its space gets reduced to a broom closet size. The tiger, one of the largest mammals on this planet is stuck in about a 12x10 ft area with barely room to walk around. The big cats exhibit is the worst zoo exhibit I have ever seen. There is no reason why the Denver Zoo should have all of these cats when they have no where to put them, the animals are all clearly sad. If you care for cats at all DO NOT GO TO THE DENVER ZOO because you will most likely cry like I did.

the animals in that prison are innocent and should be kept in their naatural habitat.

The Tigers we're not out and we waited for an hour and went back! Other exhibits we're empty. Just not the experience we were expecting.

After visiting the Albuquerque Zoo a few weeks ago it became clear to me that our Denver Zoo is way behind in its remolding and enclosure upkeep.
The past 10 years I have been going to the Denver Zoo and although it has done some things to upkeep the zoo itself the tropical discovery for example is not well maintained. They also have been slow to get the Big cat enclosures done . Other zoos have cleaner and newer enclosures and spend more time on the health of the animals. for this reason I am giving the Denver Zoo a so so rating . I will not be buying a zoo membership next year.

The lights were great...plenty of places for refreshments and restrooms...the paths are well maintained which is important when you are walking around at nigt... some employees around to answer questions about the animals that can be seen.

Very nice zoo. My kids had a wonderful time. very clean the staff was helpful and great activities. thanks!

Always fun, make sure to bring lots of water, a whole lot of water and don't forget to learn!

Was a wonderful experience saw a 4d movie and baby lion young tiger so much more spent one who day there

The kids love it, although we didn't get there till 2:30 still paid full price. But was good family time.

We have been to zoos in San Diego and Minneapolis and this is our favorite. It's a medium sized zoo compared to the one in San Diego but it's easy to walk the entire place in one visit. The new elephant exhibit is amazing and kids can easily get close to the elephants.

The parking is easy and everything is easy to find and navigate. The zoo is well designed and really beautiful, with so many fantastic exhibits. There are shows and free entertainment; we really enjoyed the sea lion show. You can feed the giraffes at certain times. There are some indoor exhibits with reptiles and birds that give you a break from the sun. Lots of food options, which are expensive, but you can also bring in your own food. Water fountains and bathrooms easily accessible throughout, and even stations for refilling your water bottles. You can rent a wagon to tow kids around if needed. Really enjoyed our day there!

Disappointed to say the least. Most animals were MIA. We had to walk 2 miles to get in with not very much to do and much to see since the animals were not visible or there.

Love how family friendly this place is and all the play areas for the children. The exhibits for all the animals are remarkable.

The kids and I love this place. My only complaint is that it can be hard to find parking.

Not sure if it's the norm or just the day I happened to be there but didn't see many animals out of their cages or active. Kinda boring actually.

It was Zoo-y. The day was super hot but the zoo was as good as it always is.

So fun, took my grandson had such a great time! Looking forward to zoo lights!
