I simply called The Newman Company to ask about my...

I simply called The Newman Company to ask about my dental coverage through Nassau Community College teachers association. Tom , who claims he s the President, answered my call. The first time he just made me hang on with no response from him till the point I assumed the call was dropped. I called back and he said he could hear me till I hung up?? He was very rude and abrupt and in turn would not volunteer any information. He expected me to go to any dentist and have them call him to varify coverage. In the past very few dental care places except the Newman Company policy and being I recently relocated I wanted get information who did. Also in the past if the bill was $500 they only covered $75! So I needed to know. It is very obvious Tom doesn t value his business or customers. I hope NCC can resolve these issues with The Newman Company soon!

Tom Newman is very unprofessional and does not give any information when asked. Very rude and horrible customer service. If you don t like ur job get a new one? Don t make everyone else suffer. He claims he is the president maybe someone should tell him how to talk to customers.

Over many years, on multiple occasions, Tom Newman...

Over many years, on multiple occasions, Tom Newman came to my family's assistance. Sure, he comes to his point quickly and directly but this is a great quality...I want directness when he is calling a billing office on my behalf explaining how they are overbilling by not charging me the agreed-to network fee. And, if he sees someone taking advantage of one of his policyholders...wow, look out! Personally, to our family he's practically a superhero. If you want a real professional who will tirelessly look after your interests (when you are right!) go to Tom Newman. He'll let you know when you are right and when you are wrong. And, you'll know his answer will be well researched and correct! You may not like the answer, or his directness may make you unhappy, but it will be trustworthy, and correct. I'll take a direct and honest approach anytime! And, if you need help, he is there! So, I highly recommend Newman Company! You won't be sorry if you are looking for real quality service!

I spoke to Tom Newman. As a provider of services to patients, helping them understand their insurance is very important. 3 months had gone by before I called to find out that their electronic system isn't working properly (nothing kicked back). I send in the forms via physical mail and receive a letter stating they now need a w9 filled out. 6 months, the patient is already due for their next recall. Tom was rude in his explanation of why the process takes so long; he then proceeds to explain after I asked him about the w9 that he "isn't here to educate me." I deal with insurance companies all day long, and I was appalled by his approach. He should be ashamed of himself.

**Beware Stay Away** Newman Company is NOT a professional company. Not sure if he is a one man show but you never get anyone but Tom Newman. He is a nasty and unprofessional man. Zero stars
