Boomers! Medford Review

Brought my kids for the first time the other day and many of the machines inside didn't work and will take your money. Gave up after awhile. Mini golf course was pretty decent but the go carts were a little disappointing. So many rules....wouldn't even let me record video. All in all it was an ok but expensive experience....I don't believe I will be returning

This was my second time here. It turned out to be a good deal to host a kids birthday party. A few rides were closed down and several of the arcade games didn't work, but overall the kids had a good time, on both my occasions. And the staff is good, friendly, but sometimes seemed like there wasn't enough staff. Anyway, I love how they have activities for kids of all ages, especially since my 4 kids range from 1-10 years old.

This place was horrible they had 2 rides for 12years and old which are the go karts and water bumper ride and rock climbing
The games are so old they all dont work per the manager.
The manager on call today July 19th did nothing for us. She was younger and didn t care. No water there to be sold not lemonade

Dirty and gross. The food was undercooked and disgusting. The amusement rides look like they would fall apart at any minute. The go karts are jokingly slow. The video games are virtually all broken and the horrible management would never fix them. Staff there cannot even complete the simplest of tasks let alone resolving an issue. Never going back there again!

This place was so hot in the inside. There was only one person on the register so I waited in line for like 30 minutes. The arcade games sucked. Most the machines were broken and ate the coins. The outdoor attractions were barely staffed. I will never go back to this hole in the wall place!!!!!

This place is a dump!! Food is WAY over priced n it's only Nathan's it's not even good food! Staff is RUDE !! I will NEVER COME BACK!! Rides r old looking, they don't even have enough golf clubs

Old and rickety, does not have wifi available, little cell service, not all rides had staff at them.

A fun place with good prices. But most of the games take your money. It's disappointing yet the staff is accommodating. Owners have to fix connect four game!!! And update the decore very dark in the hallway.

TERRIBLE! How hard is it to maintain some video games? More than half the games don't work. Don't waste your time!

Boomers was such a nice place to take your kids years ago. Now, its terrible. Alot of the arcade games don't even work and the food is terrible. It needs big time renovations!

Just came from this place. I spent over $350 and I had such a horrible experience. The supposed manager was horrible. No customer service skills whatsoever. She was very rude and just horrible. Save your money and go anywhere else but here. The place should close down. Soo many games don t work and they don t have enough staff to run the outdoors games. HORRIBLE MANAGER.

The whole place is in poor shape. Bathrooms were filthy. The Go carts were unmaintained and leaving dirty, black exhaust gases in the air; most of the kiddie rides were closed. This place needs to be shut down and brought to a working condition before they charge the customers. Extremely poor operation. They deserve 0 stars out of 5.

So, depsite reading all the negative reviews I still decided to give this place a chance to see what it was really about. To start, the facility had plenty of cool arcade machines, but as stated in previous review a vast majority of there machines are OUT OF SERVICE. The ones that weren't out of service took my money twice. I had to ask an employee for assistance and they were courteous but it was still annoying. There aren't many rides there either as I thought there would be. The had a go-kart ride which was the only thing I enjoyed. Also, there was only two employees operating the rides so me and my kids had to wait more than 10 minutes to get on a ride that lasted for 2 minutes. The owner of this establishment really needs to read these reviews and address these issues. None of what saying is meant to be derogatory, it's all just factual and needs to be fixed.

This place is so awesome! It was perfect for our two year old and our ten month old enjoyed it too. There were rides for older kids including go karts, batting cages, mini golf, a full arcade, water tube rides and rock climbing. My little guys had a blast and I was able to ride most of the kiddie rides with them. They also had a choo choo train that rides every hour around the entire park. Everything was very clean, staff was nice and the decor on the inside was really cute. This is so nice to have close to home. There really isn't like anything like it out by me and I'm so glad I found out about this place. They have a performance stage and do birthday parties for the kiddies. It's family ran and under new ownership. I had the pleasure of meeting them and they're great. Definitely a must do and I can't wait to go back! We were the first ones at the park so it looks empty but it filled up shortly after. Also all of the rides were up and running!

Went here with my 3 yr old over the weekend, close to none of the arcade games were working. There was no air conditioning in the place, I felt really bad for the staff. The staff was very nice and received many complaints and tried to be accommodating given the conditions. They are understaffed as well. This place could be really nice and popular but the upkeep just isn't being done. There are other places I will go to next time where the games and AC work.

Everything is so old and never work right.
I have really hard time to spend 10$ worth of tokens

NEVER EVER GO TO THIS PLACE AGAIN. DO NOT BUY FOOD , DO NOT BUY TOKENS. The only worth while thing is the gokarting and mini golf , other than that the place is ( sH** ) . Listen up. The games do not work. You walk in with a room full of games and none of them , NONE OF THEM WORK. Everything has an out of order sign. And the machines that don't have an out of order sign eat your tokens. I bought 110 tokens , and out of all about 90 percent were eaternx only three games worked, the spider game and connect four. Everything else was broken. The token machine was broken so you had to ask the workers. And the workers were NASTY FOLKS. There was no line and I had to wait fricken twenty minutes for some damn service. Also if the machines eat your tokens the workers won't give you your tokens back, they literally just rip you off. The ride workers weren't as bad and actually kind of charming. There was no shade or workers outside, it looks straight out of a post apocalyptic zombie movie. None of the rides have padding so they hurt your back when sitting . Also the food IS SUCH A SCAM. They got rid of all the food they had and now it's just Nathan's. Not only is it over priced but it's over priced and LITTLE TO NO FOOD. I ordered 8 dollar chicken tenders and there was a picture on the menu that was a plate full of chicken strips. Ya know what I got? 3 chicken nuggets , THREE , smaller than MY hand. FOR EIGHT DOLLARS. Lastly, there were no prizes . Inside stacker and the crane the machines were basically empty, not that it mattered cause they were all fricken broken. All and all, don't come to boomers. Go to Dave and busters , or Chuck E. Cheese's even. This place needs to be shut down.

It needs a change in management. Brought our 5 year old just to play a few quick games. I'd say that 40% of the games were broken or inoperable. Every employee was fixing machines.

Didn't go outside but it did look like fun. Fix the games and I'd be willing to spend a few bucks there.

Worst Go-karts ever. I bought two champ passes to have unlimited rides and it was NOT worth it. You start out go karting by sitting behind running engines for 10 minutes breathing in the fumes. Then when it finally starts NONE of the breaks work, when we asked the staff they said "you have to push it all the way down" *eye roll* Then while in the middle of the race all the go karts stopped and we were stuck on the track not able to go anywhere for ten minutes!!!!! Breathing in those fumes for ten more minutes and i was done. Add in the fact that the track is covered in rocks that get kicked up into your eyes and this is why i don't suggest spending even one cent on these go karts.

Sad. I spoke with the DM of this place, owned by a company in CA, a couple years ago. It's obvious nobody cares because I could have written the same exact terrible review. I would be very careful having your kids go here I was told the wheels of the roller coaster cost too much to replace when they wear down. If the place looks like garbage you can imagine the maintenance of the rides is suspect. The parent company should just close this dump before someone gets hurt.

It is a little small, and they don't have enough staff on a weekday, but the staff is very nice and will come to you if you need them.

Great karting spot in Suffolk. Plenty for the kids to do.

I went today for the Easter Extravaganza and was pleasantly surprised as the staff and the Manager Laura was very helpful and courteous. My grandson had a great time and tho the food selection was limited because the summer menu isn't out yet, the food we had was great and we had lots of fun!!!

Great for kids over 10. Great batting cages, need new Go karts, mini golf in good condition, bumper boats fun but not always working.

Not a lot of selections, not enough staff and they weren't friendly. Country Fair is better than this place anyways; it's cheaper over there too.

Back in the day when I had two young children this place was called Bullwinkles and it was a great place to bring the kids. It was current and up-to-date and fun and safe. There was an accident that occurred with the swings and Bullwinkles removed their name and sold it. The new company was called Boomers and for a while Boomers was a nice place to go and visit with the children. As time progressed the owners stopped updating and maintaining the place. Having just gone there for nostalgic purposes and to bring my now 21 year old son there and take a look at what it was like when he would go there when he was 6 years old. We are amazed at the outside disarray. They almost never have clientele there and I would absolutely never get food there because there's no way they can cycle through the food enough to keep fresh food in there. Basically today we just walked around inside and outside and took a look at the place and we're remembering some of the things that we had done there a long time ago. I give it two Stars only because it has a nostalgic place in my life otherwise by the looks of it I would have given it one star. I can't attest for the food, as I wouldn't try any food. There was no one there today but myself and my son.

The employes didn't check Seatbelts and they didn't have any good rides.the employes r childish. Bathroom is disgusting.3/10 car were available for go carts and the lines was extremely long. My son liked the go-cart s. However it's filthy inside the women's bathroom was DISGUSTING.... It looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a long time. . the Nathan s food extremely overpriced. I had a Groupon every time I went their I couldn't use it. The inside gamerooms every other game is broke....

So they decide to close the outside due to a chance of rain . In other words, they want to save a few dollars of staff wages ..... no rain that day so no surprise there. They ruined my daughters birthday! So many other good choices in Long Island - choose anywhere but here!

showed up at 1115, they open at 11, doors locked, groundskeeper ignored us, had to leave after 15 minutes of trying to get attention of staff. premises were dirty as well.

It was really fun on the go kart, but everything else was either for little children or broken. A lot of the Arcade games were broke. Overall I did have fun but, was a little disappointed in the lack of maintenance.

Place is severely dated. Many of the arcade games are ancient, which really wouldn't matter to my 10 year old if they worked properly, which they don't. The seating for the concession is probably in the worst shape, I almost fell INTO the base of the booth when I sat down. Prices are decent. Really enjoyed the staff the most. All very friendly and very attentive. Me and my boys were pretty much the only ones there, and my 10 year old loved the rock wall. He climbed it so many times, that the young man "operating" it started making up games and timing him to keep him interested. Needs some work for sure, but not a terrible place for the kids on a rainy Thursday.

Don't waste your money. None of the Arcade games work. Go to Dave and Busters, Everything is up to date and there's something for everyone.

This place is going down hill fast...11 attractions but only two workers operating the rides. My children had to wait until the operators opened a new ride. I will not be coming back here.

I went there back on October 17, 2015 with my family to play miniature golf which was fine. Most of the tunnels where you kit the ball through were broken so the ball would get stuck. We didn't care about that and since it was getting chilly we decided to go inside and play some video games. After getting a boat load of tokens we went off to play but to our surprise, the majority of the games were broken, got stuck or just swallowed our tokens. We kept going back to the counter to let the person know (which it seemed that only one person was working and she hid in a room behind the counter). After about thirty minutes of frustration and the constant walk back and forth, to the counter we were able to play maybe 3-4 games. We gave up and went back to the counter to trade whatever tokens we had left. The same person came out and said we needed to show her the receipt which she did not give and began to give us an attitude. I stood my ground and she finally just gave me my $20. back. What was so stupid about the situation was that we were the only ones in the place at 11 am and she couldn't remember the transaction? I lived on Long Island all of my life and I used to enjoy going to Boomers a lot so when I had a chance to take my kids, I thought it would be as memorable as it was for me but instead it was the worst experience ever! I should've taken the kids to Chuck E Cheese. Please save yourselves the aggravation and go somewhere that actually maintain their games and Mini golf. I'm glad I live in Virginia cause we have many places like Boomers down here to go to but I feel bad for Long Islanders since all you have is Boomers, Adventure Land, Splish Splash and Chuck E Cheese. So sad!!!!!

Went there for a fun time with my family on my birthday and I got a fun time and a great birthday experience, mini golf and go carting was so much and anyone should go if you have the time and the chance!

Fun place to take kids to. The outdoor activities are fun for toddlers and for kids up to age 12. Except the GoKart race where teenagers get to enjoy. Golf course is fun too and the Bumper Boats.
The indoor arcade games are ok. Some of them are not working properly and I hope they fix that soon. It's not fun when the tokens are wasted. Rock climbing inside the arcade area is fun for kids of all ages.
Overall, it's a great place to take kids in summer. Reasonable price when you buy tickets online and get Groupon deal. So anyone out there looking for tickets do check deals on Groupon.

Outdoor attractions are good, indoor games aside from video games are mostly broken....don't bother...didn't eat, but overall was fun...No flip flops on the go karts!!!

Boomers in Medford was the most disgusting place I have ever seen. The dining room was a total disaster and the ladies room was just as bad as any gas station I have ever seen. From what I saw the lines were very long.

So much fun my kids love it I highly recommend this place for partys

Long story short:
1. Bathrooms are not maintained properly. Huge piss puddles in front of the urinals and toilets, and they smell gross.
2. The line for the food took forever and when I finally got to the front there's no bottled water. How could you not have any bottled water in stock?
3. The dining area was dirty and unkempt. The garbage was overflowing and having to sit there and eat while looking at piles of trash was disgusting.
4. Miniature golf clubs were lacking. I was told by an employee to look by the shack by the 18th hole. I shouldn't have to search the park for a club. They should be behind the counter.
5. They need more people working. There didn't seem to be enough employees on the property.
Do not waste your time or your money here. Thee are other cleaner, more palatable alternatives very close by....

Awesome stuff! Even though I think the coins was worthless

Most likely the most popular ride, the roller coaster was broken. Two cement pads where rides should have been were just cement pads. The go kart track was first class! The bumper boats were fun and they have a good miniature golf attraction. The food was served at about room temperature. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The roller coaster looked so old and looked like it was going to fall apart and the games dint even work

This place is terrible! Most rides are not working. The bathroom is disgusting. Very few staff to help .video games minimum is 4 tokens to play. Never come here again

Great svc for our grandsons 2&6th birthday party. Talia was very helpful

I brought my 2.5 year old daughter to go on kiddie rides. 2 kiddie rides were closed and the others didn't have anyone operating them. You had to go find someone and ask them to operate it. I thought she'd be able to go on some other rides as long as I went on with her but not so. Took 15 minutes to wait for 2 hot dogs even though no one else was waiting for food. Many arcade games are broken. Token machine was not working. I have to say the kids that were working the inside area were very very nice and patient and were doing their best.

Haven't went here in a long time and went there the other day with some friends and played some games and let the kids loose and play games while the big kids went to play games as well the staff was great

I have been here a couple of times the go-karts are ok not amazing but they are fun and there is the rock climbing which is small but also fun then the arcade has a nice amount of games and the Minny golf is nice and the bumper bouts are fun and there is a nice amount of things to do there and if you sign up online its 20 bucks for most of it so for what you are paying it's very good

My friend and I purchased a $23 dollar pass for Boomers for unlimited rides and go-karting.

Most of the rides weren t open and when others went to check out if other rides were open they were being yelled at because it wasn t. The staff didn t seem very polite.

We purchased two water bottles and a Pepsi and it came out to $9.

When we arrived to show them our Groupon, we couldn t even pull it up because there was no service and no wifi at all, we had to walk outside just to get it to work and it still took a long time.

Finally, the go- karting (which we were most exited for) turned out to be the biggest pain. Because we wanted to ride together we waited on line for the 2-seater karts. They very poorly let you know the rules for each ride until you re ready to go on. They put the rules in a small font all the way up front instead of putting it at the start of the line. Once we were ready to get on they said we couldn t because we weren t 18, so we asked if we could go on a 1-seater kart and they said we can t cut the line, so we had to wait on the other line which took forever and then they let two girls who were clearly both not 18 onto a 2-seater.

It was the worst the only good thing was the many golf and the go karts were terrible the dust got in my eyes

Website says it has three mini golf courses, it only has one. It was poorly maintained. Greens were ripped up, Weeds on the green itself and structures were rotted and missing. Batting cages were undocumented so you had to figure out how to use then by trial and error. The go carts were poorly maintained but we managed to have a good time with them. Half the arcade games were out of order, most of the others stole your coins. Only one cashier 4 tokens, food, and admission so it was constantly a line.

Arcades ate your coins or were broken. 2 people outside working the rides so had to wait a long time to go on a ride. Shut down or fix the place.

The reviews are all true. However, it's a cool place to be if you are trying to get the kids out of the house. The go-karts and bumper boats were cool. Boomers needs to invest in this place it has a whole lot of potential. They definitely need more staff, some of the employees are responsible for overseeing two rides so they alternate between the rides. This has the potential for someone to get hurt.

Went for a bday party. Pizza was boring, like Domino's. Not from a pizza parlor. Looks like its stuck in the 80's. I remember going when I was my kids ages decades ago. Only fun part was the go carts. But expensive

Great time, little run down but for the price..well worth it!

It's a couple hours into opening time and lots of rides are still closed. Two people are operating three rides each, opening one at a time. Two rides are broken. Never pay full price, you'll be disappointed. Just come for mini golf on Sunday morning, $3 each 10-12.

This is my second time going there. I figured I would give it a second shot. But the experience was the same.

Customer service was horrible. Waited 25 minutes for a hot dog and fries. And the "order of fries" was about 18 total fries.

Next time going to the Country Fair. Much better place.

Took my children and that place smelled horrible and the games where from ancient history only a handful worked.. you pay for a champ pass and only 2 things where going and thats go kart and mini golf so that s a waste it should be half price be only half of the things are running right now!! Such a waste of time need to update that place I don t see how they still have business!! I know I won t be returning!!!!!!

The facility just needs such an update. Out of order stickers all over. Tokens get jammed in machines. The rock wall was closed for three hours we were there. Only 3 carts work on mini roller coaster.

Went to play mini golf and when you hit the ball it goes away from the hole. There was no breeze. The side of the building is all dirty and half the machine didn t work. 95 degrees so close the water attraction how does that make sense. The staff were cleaning the ponds while people were around and they were the most disgusting thing I ve seen. One worker detached a hose and got me and my family a little bit wet. It felt good but he should ve waited. Will not recommend. Change your ways
