I had a wonderful stay at this gorgeous resort! The service was spectacular and the view of the lake was amazing. An amazing place to spend the weekend with my boyfriend :)

More like a cottage than a resort. Buildings needs major improvements.
Younger employees were helpful and friendly, older ones were not. Golf course in great condition but pace of play was very slow.
Great spot. Very nice setup. Suites are very nice. Fireplace and firepit. Golf onsite. Retraunts are good
Terrible service and accountability!
Second time coming to Rocky Crest and second time to the steak restaurant.
TBone was incredibly salty so sent it back. Manager apologized, brought it back but it was still salty.
Did not want to raise a fuss so said it was edible but told the waiter it was just as salty.
We had such a great time two years ago we tried to give them another chance, explained our situation to the waiter, waiter said he would speak to the manager.
Nobody came by. We ordered the dessert platter, asked if they could take some care because we were so disappointed with the Tbone and he said they would, no one came by.
Dessert came late, half of it was stale, cold and disappointing.
When we tried to get the bill, everyone avoided our eyes.
In fact at one point we asked the manager for the bill, he acknowledged with a nod and still no one brought it back.
I am very disappointed with the lack of accountability. A restaurant can have guests who are not happy with the food, but ignoring them and refusing them service when they are trying to leave is ridiculous. It just antagonizes them more.
It took us half an hour to get to bill, to find everything had been charged 100% with no apology.
I understand a restaurant has certain costs but having a manager come back just to check on us, instead of having everyone ignore us service would have made a difference.
Service recovery and making guests who have had an unpleasant time feel better is one of the first skills learnt in a managerial position.
I am disappointed to the food quality, but especially in the service level.
It was after we raised this as an issue they offered us a 25% discount in the cost of the TBONE.... and still no one came by to talk to us. In fact, when we got up to leave and we brushed by the manager he ignored us...
I am not sure if management has changed at rocky crest, but I am so disappointed with the level of service recovery here.
What happened?!
Fantastic resort with one on the best golf courses in Canada. Amazing food, views and activities for the whole family.
I stayed here a couple of times over the past few years and it's been pretty good on both occasions. Staff is friendly and are willing to help. The resort offers different activities such as tennis (they need new racquets, though), basketball, swimming, canoeing, etc, all for free. I would visit again next time.
Great place if you have grandchildren. Stay in a lower unit
Clubhouse dinner on outdoor terrace was great. Service a bit slow but pleasant. Food good.
Tough track. Would return. It owes be some balls
Beautiful picturesque location and comfortable rooms. Great service. Late check-in times but overall highly recommended
Resort property is beautiful but rooms are very dated. Clean but just time for them to be renovated. Best for families and not couples. Only 1 restaurant option with limited seating. Food is really good though.
Nice View from condo, but buildings somewhat dated. Depending what unit your in you have to lug your stuff down/up hills and stairs. Parking lot at times were a mess.
Unbelievable, one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen.
My wedding is coming up at the Rocky Crest in a month. I would say the wedding planner and staff have been the most accommodating and helpful service I have ever had. We have been to the place before to check it out, it is absolutely stunning! The views are amazing and the facility has the best cottage cozy vibe. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone for a holiday and for an event! Big thank you to Melissa for answering our a million questions and helping with everything we need.
Pretty decent place to stay an golf. Nothing bad to say except prices can be lower.
Little pricey but a nice spot! Will definitely be back.
This is our third year in a row coming here, and things have really gone downhill. I understand that some things have to be cut due to COVID19, but it really feels like most of the changes are just to cut costs. We stayed a week and nobody bothered to bring us more things like toilet paper, we had to walk to the office to get them. I asked for more towels and they told me to come get them. I had to drag my toddler and my infant to the offce to get towels, as if 2 towels was going to last a family of 4 a whole week? Every aspect of this place is understaffed compared to other years and to other resorts. Otherwise the place is still fairly passable, albeit outdated. The food is overpriced for what it is. What little sandy area they have is now used as storage and drainage (the kid used to like playing in the sand there). By the 6th day I decided to skim the bugs out of the pool and the whole pool laughed and cheered, the dirt in the pool had been a running joke. We had to get our keys reprogrammed about 20 times as they often stop working for no reason. Overall we probably walked to the office 70 times in a week between us. Probably won t be coming back.
Beautiful views of the lake though! And the beds are comfy!
The voyagecotage was clean and comfortable for a small family... We enjoyed our stay there... Not very satisfied with our breakfast experience
Excellent place to spend the weekend. The view and the place is spectacular. I would go again.
Had a relaxing stay at Rocky Crest. Great facilities however frustrated trying to get lounge chairs. Wish they had a better system for that. All chairs taken early but hardly anyone using them through the day. Boat cruise was great and good food.
Great service. The location for all the activitied are very close to each other so it made walking very convenient.
Great location for a Muskoka offsite event. Good food, good rooms, and good group activities.
We went for 1 night and had one of the best days ever. The room was waterfront with a great view and very quiet. The pool off the back path was like a secret oasis.
The food was good and the service was good.
It s expensive but well worth it.
Course in excellent condition, food and beverage staff friendly, attentive, food quality superb. Views from the patio unsurpassed.
Resort would be nice in summertime with lake frontage and dock/seating areas. Rooms are mediocre. Course was good but not amazing.
Not enough attention to detail. Resort is showing its age. Nice location but resort is just not properly maintained.
Beautiful and amazing golf course. One of the best I've played in Ontario.
Totally overpriced and very tired, broken down rooms. The restaurant was horrible, and since the location is in such an affluent location, this was extremely surprising.
The golf course is worth $45, but they charge $140 and up, then they nickle and dime you with price of food and beverages on the course.
This guy will never return, even if it was FREE.
The place was great, had no complaints as far as the room went. Staff was friendly and accomadating.
Rooms and staff are always wonderful! Food is always fantastic as well
Great location on Lake Joseph, with a beautiful waterfront. Has a lakeside patio restaurant with good food. Room was nice, although it could use an upgrade to the TV, bathroom and decor
Golf course was amazing and is my favourite place to golf. Truly breathtaking scenery and a very challenging course yet fun. Would be 5 stars however the lodging needed a little bit of updating.
This is great with 2 bedrooms one with 2 double or twin beds and the master bedroom with a queen sized bed with a tv. In the living room there is a tv same sized as the master bedrooms tv with a couch that can turn into a bed. There is a lake and they let you use canoes, kayaks, also paddle boats, standing paddle board, and fishing rods in the morning they give out free bait. There is 2 pools a salt water pool which is relatively far away from the resort and one near the lake you can also rent a boat and go for a ride with your family. Generally a great place to go this summer. Though the tv might need an upgrade and the wifi is terrible. Use this as a chance to get your kids outside
Hosted our wedding in October/16. Was blown away by the wedding coordination and events team. Wedding was beautiful and seamless. Beautiful resort, food to die for, and good accommodations. Always something to do while you're there!! Highly recommended for events, vacations, or just stop in for dinner!
My husband is a Clublink member so we got a deal staying mid week (from Sunday Sept 13th - 15th), I don t think the club would be too impressed to have their name attached to this place.
The surroundings are beautiful for sure but the property is not kept up well (pool wasn t even cleaned) and the suites are very outdated for the price you pay. There was even a dead bug looked it has been there for a while on the wall in the shower. We were told that there would be information for us at the front desk for spas around, there was nothing when we asked. Food and service at Windows restaurant was great the first night but the food and service at Bayside was ok at best and way too expensive.
My husband said he would golf there but we won t ever go back to stay. Disappointing.
Golf course is great and lots of fun. Clubhouse has really good food.
Went for a wedding. Really nice grounds and facilities.
I always enjoy coming here. You're in the woods next to the lake but have all the modern amenities. They had good protocols during covid too
Great spot to take the family! We have been coming back for five years straight.
An amazing stay, as always! We were staying in the 2 bedroom loft and it was spacious. Everyone was super friendly and me and my kids had so much fun doing all the water activities! There are canoes, kayaks, paddle boats, paddle boards plus 3 water floaties you can climb and slide/jump off of.
Amazing resort ! The rooms are spotless , the water amenities are outstanding for the whole family, we love this resort !
Beautiful surroundings very family oriented....
Beginnings Spa on location wonderful people
Great shape, good walking course but unfortunately due to weather greens were shaggy and tough to read.
Great golf course, resort needs an upgrade, food was decent though
Great Muskoka resort on Lake Joseph with lots to do for the entire family. Excellent dining with spectacular views of Lake Joseph.
Attended for a wedding and it was just beautiful. The grounds were tidy, the staff was friendly and accomodating and the food was quite nice. Awesome outdoor tent setup, but I will say the directions to the event were a bit vague once we drove in. Either way, gorgeous.
I will note that there is no ATM onsite, closest one was 25+mins away-- when attending a wedding without an open bar, that was a huge inconvenience for a lot of the guests.
The service in the restaurant is terrible. Food is ok. Will not be back!!
Good location not far from toronto. Lots to do. Rooms are pretty big even 1 bedroom suite. Breakfast was decent. Staff customer service is excellent. Went in first week of june
I m giving a 2 star review because I m a frustrated mom who had no where to change my daughters diaper.
We were out boating and decided to stop in for lunch on the patio. As a mother of a two year old who is not yet fully potty trained, I went inside to the restroom to change my little one and there wasn t a change table. I asked the clueless bartender if there was anywhere in site where I could change her. He proceeds to call the front desk, to ask and the response I get is there is nowhere for me to do so. Another staff member told me I could go upstairs to the dining room where the counter is a little bigger in the bathroom and do it there because it wasn t open yet. However there was also no space there. I ended up having to change her on the floor! What kind of restaurant doesn t have a change table in the restroom ! They have highchairs but don t they think parents need a place to change the babies sitting in those chairs!
Amazing view! This was a beautiful spot to stay, the water amenities are outstanding for the whole family! Great buffet breakfast. .
Some negative points would be that rooms slightly outdated , but everything functioned and rooms are quite big.
Pool was green and not clean.
In overall I love this area and come back soon.
Held a Corporate tournament at the beginning of the season. Young summer staff but overall good experience. Great lake views.
Amazing resort it was a very relaxing vacation. Beautiful view and the water amenities are so much fun. The room was good very cleans and the bed was comfortable but there was nothing special about the room and there was no AC in the bed room which made it a little hard to sleep.
Muskoka in the fall, it can't get much better than that.
Nice accommodations. The golf course is a real treat. Definitely a must play when in the area. Fall is a great time to visit.
Beautiful site on Lake Joseph with excellent facilities and layout (everything is a short stroll from the rooms) and great staff. Only drawback is the rooms themselves: they're in need of a serious, modern upgrade (paint, flooring, furnishings, bathrooms, decor and kitchenettes) to match the quality of the rest of the resort.
Very nice - went for lunch and ended up booking a stay for the following weekend.
Condos were a little outdated, but course is phenomenal and the area is beautiful
room was in horrible shape. Looks like the place hadn't been renovated in 15 years. Kitchen cabinet was falling apart and looked like it had mold. Faucet in bathroom had to be replaced. Shower not working properly. Found a dead mother the window that looked like it had been there for a while. If someone showers in the unit next door the walls shake. It a nutshell room was dreadful. Pool and lake were good. Went to the golf course for dinner and after receiving our appetizers we were told it would be 45 minutes for our main course because they were busy. Food overall was nothing special but pretty good. Staff overall was very nice but place seemed under staffed and not experienced. Very disappointed and do not plan on coming back. Was hear 10 years ago and it was too notch, today clublink should be embarrassed. To have their name on this place.
Beautiful course. But their manager of the restaurant (male) is horrible. He has no idea what customer service is and made me and my party feel very uncomfortable. I'll never go back or recommend this place.
Friendly staff, dated but clean rooms and lots to do
Okay resort. Grounds are maintained. Amenities and resteraunts outdated. Pool is small and has poor view of Lake Joseph. Average and unmotivated.
Great resort! I really liked the clubhouse as well for lunch and dinner. We stayed for a week
at the end of July and we thoroughly enjoyed our time. They need to keep their hot tub and the two pools cleaner.
A nice little resort with a beautiful view of the lake. We stayed 1 night only. Lots of families at this place. We had dinner on the patio by the lake. The food was good. Our room was a little dated and they was evidence of a prior leak above my bed (see photo). It rained that night and there was no additional water damage.
Wonderful place to go for a weekend getaway somewhat close to home. Rooms are clean and usually very nice. Lots of things to do down by the water; swimming, kayaking, canoeing, boating, paddle boarding, and a water trampoline. There's a breakfast buffet bar that becomes a nice restaurant for dinner
Just had my wedding at Rocky Crest.
Absolutely amazing service and hospitality that goes well above and beyond anything my wife and I had ever expected.
Melissa Felton (definitely the best in the business) and her assistant Alex, are top notch in what they do.
The food and their in house DJ were remarkable.
Views and location are to die for.
Can't wait to visit many more times, now as the happiest husband and wife.
Thank You Rocky Crest.
Great facilities, the pool and hot tub are great for the evening and offer an excellent view.
We had an amazing family vacation here. We stayed in the "cottage style" places a small 5 minute walk from the main complex. They were very close although not on the water. We had a kitchen and made our own meals, so I cannot comment on the food at the restaurants, but from what I heard and could see, the food was great.
The rooms at the main building have a very small kitchenette I believe, so be prepared to eat at the restaurant quite a bit.
The pool was clean and the kids had a fun time playing in the pool. The lake was also very clean and the small beach area along with the dock, provided lots of space to lounge and or play with beach toys.
We could sign out paddle boards and kayaks/water sports items with ease and this provided lots of fun on the water.
Highly recommend!
The only negative would be that it is slightly outdated, but again it was a cottage feel which is a plus. The facilities are great for both family and couples. I was very surprised how many kids programs they had here! As well, the lake is beautiful with a hugh water playground. All canoes, kayaks, paddle boats and surf boards are all included in the $25 resort fee. The food was above average compared to other resorts.
The worst service ever. Get a hot dog at the side of the road on your way up the this disaster zone.
