I can really only review this hotel on it's location since we were barely able to spend time in it since we were attending a conference at the adjacent RBC Convention Centre. (no complaints though, I don't recall not sleeping well) It is a centrally located hotel so is reasonably close to downtown attractions and amenities (ex. Manitoba Legislative building, Food trucks on Broadway, Winnipeg Art Gallery, the Forks). It is perfect for events at the aforementioned RBC Convention Centre which it shares a bridge with (it was closed for renovations when we were there though). MTS Centre is also really close. Cityplace mall is diagonal to the hotel. There are numerous downtown restaurants nearby - the closest ones being Boston Pizza and the attached pub Elephant & Castle. Parking for hotel guests is NOT free.

Stayed July 2015

A great meal from the salad to the desert, and it was served by a great bunch of cheerful and very kind servers. It was obviously their goal to make sure our evening could be enjoyed to the fullest, they even helped us by finding an extension cord to get our sound system up and running. The Delta has been the location for our school's grad for many years and never disappoints.

Friendly staff who go out of their way for you.
Stayed on the concierge floor which gave us a morning breakfast. Worth it for three people.
Heated bathroom floor was a pleasant surprise. Other than that, basic but clean rooms. I was here for pleasure but would have been extremely comfortable here for business as well.
Centrally located with easy access to all parts of the city.
As a side note, the curbs and roads are in terrible disrepair, I guess football stadiums and hockey arenas are the only place that city council is allowed to spend money on.

Have stayed at this hotel before and loved it. I cannot say the same about this time. I asked for bedding without feathers as usual and they did not remember to switch them so I ended up taking allergy medicine the first night. Asked if I could upgrade rooms and they said it would be no problem and that I would pay 40 dollars once. This is on top of my 178 per night rate through Expedia (cheapier if you just book through the hotel with CAA rate btw). Second night I went to rent a movie and was told I'd have to come leave an additional 50 dollar deposit to watch a 4.99 movie and my original 150 deposit was used up by the room fees ?! This is when I was told it was now an extra 120 for my room upgrades (same lady who was supposed to have my bedding changed) after talking with manager she is making me downgrade rooms and refunding my deposit. This was supposed to be a fun weekend to relax and I feel like my apartment would have been a classier place to hang out (normally a 4 star hotel is very nice) they made me feel cheap after spending 675 for three nights with Expedia. O and my favorite part of the hotel before was the hot tub and it wasn't even hot this time (was told they are ordering a part to fix it) lol what a weekend :(

Nice modern hotel. Rooms are clean and adequate size. Balconies are bare concrete, nothing special, not a very nice view. The downtown area can be sketchy in the evening hours, but I felt safe inside the hotel. Pool was busy with families, I did not use it. I liked the gym. I forgot my earphones and was glad the hotel provided them. The yoga mats are in rough shape, I saw people spreading large towels on the floor to use as yoga mats. There are no yoga equipment such as blocks, elastic bands. The restaurant and a coffee place in the hotel lobby are expensive. I went to Boston pizza across the hotel inside the City Place. Overall, it is a nice place to stay, will come again.

Very clean facility. Friendly and helpful staff. It's what one would expect from this hotel. English style pub and separate restaurant connected to the Delta. It's also connected to the skywalk corridors so no need to go outside on cold winter days. Small convenience store on main floor that serves Starbucks coffee. Good place

This is a great location with underground parking and indoor connection today RBC convention center. Has a the casual restaurant and a more formal evening one.
Rooms are very decent somewhat pricey because of the location. Bud has it all there. Plus keyed floors with some extra amenities.

I did not stay at the Delta. I work in an adjoining bldg. But I go into the Delta every day and have my lunch breaks and sit in their public sitting area. The staff there are extremely friendly and I've gotten to know a few of them. They're very accommodating and make everyone feel welcome. If I had the need to stay at a hotel though, the Delta would be my first choice.

I've stayed at the Delta on numerous occasions on business. Rooms are clean. Staff very helpful. It's centrally located downtown. Right across the street from Saint Mary s Cathedral and the City Place Shopping Centre. It's also close to the Bell MTS Centre, the Winnipeg Conference Centre, the Winnipeg Ballet, the Millenium Library, Portage Place Shopping Centre, and the Forks. This makes it a very good place to base either a business or pleasure trip to the city. Can t say enough about the heated floors in the bathrooms, especially when it s well below zero outside in a cold Winnipeg February.

Stayed at this Delta on multiple occassions, staff will go out of the way to assist. Rooms are clean, never any concerns. Indoor pool always looks sparkling clean. Starbucks is located inside the hotel, and it's close to downtown, restaurants, shopping mall and convention centre. I'm hoping for a hot tub upgrade in the near future at this Delta. Thanks for the cozy stay!

Over my 14 years or so of visiting Winnipeg, I've always seen movies at this theater. The staff has always been polite and helpful. The theaters are clean. The sound system is very clear. The seats very comfortable. I would highly recommend putting the money out to experience the 3-D IMAX theaters.

Renovations to this hotel are very present. The hotel presents itself as a very modern place to go; Nicely decorated lobby. Was here for a business type meeting, used one of the meeting rooms on the second floor. Spacious and clean environment.

The staff is very friendly. The hotel is clean and has a good location. Beds, pillows and comforters are comfortable and clean.

We would not recommend using room service, this mornings eggs Benedict was ruined with a strong vinegar taste. This evening we ordered Room Service again, only to need to return the sword fish as it was dried out and cold! And the Beignets were not as advertised. Their is an Elephant Castle in the hotel that your better off to eat at.
Should you check in and be given a room on the 4th floor ...do not take it. It overlooks the pool area, part of the gym and walkway to other rooms and is noisy, and has no windows to the exterior. We have two doors (1 on the main hallway & 1 on the pool side).
The room also will not cool down. When we called the front desk up to have some one look At the a/c; maintenance came up and said he would check something down below as the rooms on this floor are controlled differently and he never came back.

We were unable to get our room changed as the hotel is full with the Century 21 conference, the cannibas conference and the Paul McCartney concert.
No Safes in the rooms. They will bring a fridge and microwave into the room for us when asked.
We will try again tomorrow on the a/c

Clean hotel, friendly staff, great location.

Clean hotel, friendly staff, great location.

I went for Ai-kon and stayed because this is the "official" hotel of the convention as I understand it.

My room was comfortable, with a nice pretty soft and comfortable King size bed. I had a chair with a small table near my patio door, a nice big desk to work at which I used more than expected, and the T.V. was plenty large enough with convenient connectors at the desk, so if I wanted to connect a computer to stream something it was easy. Netflix was built in to the T.V., as was Chromecast.

The bathroom has a heated floor and a nice sized shower. Like most tubs today, there's not much chance you're going to soak in it, but I didn't have time for that anyway.

The hotel is conveniently located near two Japanese restaurants, a Boston Pizza, two Starbucks a grocery store and plenty more I didn't notice since I was there for a convention.

The hotel also has a restaurant and coffee bar located inside. You can get some Starbucks drinks at the coffee bar, but your can't use your app. I found the walk to Starbucks (the store) nice.

I could see the swimming pool from my room but didn't use it. it looked clean and very nice.

The skywalk between buildings is great. Your can avoid bad weather and still get around downtown quite well.

If you've never been to Winnipeg, be prepared to drive a bit through town to get there. If you use the parking garage for the hotel, be prepared to search a bit for a spot and be warned, the ceiling is low.

My stay cost $300+ for 3 nights for the room (taxes and fees), plus $18 per day for parking. You can stay parked until 6 so, if you're like me, you can check out but leave your car parked for a few hours while you were more of the area or finish at your convention.

Overall, I recommend this hotel.

The location of the hotel is just inside downtown and has some stuff around it. The hockey arena is really close to the hotel so it might be busy depending on the year. The complimentary breakfast area was nice and the staff helped out a lot. The room was clean and the overall experience was good.

I always have a solid stay at the Delta. My only issue this time was that apparently my sister and I recieved a noise complaint at literally 8pm because a 900 year old lady across from us had to wake up early and called front desk. Didn't realize two adults laughing at a joyous round of Mario Party would be such an inconvenience at 8pm, and I'm a little bummed Delta sent someone up to silence our joy at EIGHT O CLOCK instead of telling grandma that the posted quiet hours are 11pm-7am and to call back if we didn't shut up by then (Newsflash, we were asleep by then). The slight inconvenience of not enjoying our time as loudly as we would have like was really not a big deal but damn guys, 8pm? 8? 8 o clock? 20:00? Cmon guys

Cleaning was hit and miss over the 10 days I was there. Some cleaners were awesome. Some not so much. Restaurant buffet food was poor and gave me indigestion which I normally don't get. I should have ordered off the menu. I liked the laundry service. Front desk staff friendly and helpful. Starbucks in the lobby was great. Parking lot is used for event parking so sometimes I had to park many levels up, but there was always space to park.

Always a great hotel in the city. Its not super expensive while it is on the pricier side of hotels, it does include access to a gym and 2 pools. I can honestly say staying here is the only hotel ive stayed at where ive never had a bad experience.

Wonderful hotel. Very clean rooms, that are updated, and very nice. The nicest cleaning staff I have ever encountered in hospitality. Amenities are very nice. Very close to shops, restaurants, etc. The Elephant restaurant that is connected to the hotel has very good food, and fine beers. Wonderful stay. Will book again!!
