Nice downtown location for hotel. Has an outdoor pool that you can use on a nice day. Starbucks in the hotel lobby. And Boston Pizza is just across the street and an elephant and Castle is attached to the hotel

This stay was OK! The bed was clean, and the bathroom was too (though the bathroom lighting is dim as heck, if you need to trim a beard or put on makeup). Props to their staff who literally shine in the hospitality industry.

I disliked a few things: the parkade is kind of gross. You go down a labyrinth of dust, and after two days of $18 a day my car needed a serious wash because it was so coated in dust. The person pulling into the stall next to me as I was leaving asked if I had been staying for weeks! The breakfast is expensive. If you tip, which I encourage you to do, it costs about $25 and the poached eggs were quite watery and bland. There are breakfasts nearby that might be more fulfilling, though. The carpet is that grody carpet that you want to pack slippers for, and the pillows don't have a firm or soft option - my face was falling through the pillows to the bed. However, mattress itself is pretty good if you like firmer mattresses like me, and sheets were . It's so loud on the street that I literally thought Winnipeg was falling apart: so many sirens. If you stay here, one drawer might have earplugs but I didn't notice them until the day I was leaving because they were not in the drawer on the side I slept in. I am sure you could ask the front desk for some if your room doesn't have them as the staff is quick to help. The fitness room was pretty decent except that it is INSANE HUMID. They don't have Kleenex (facial tissues), just towels, so you're like, sweating from pool humidity and trying to deal with potential nose drip, but what was cool was that they had complimentary earphones! And a good dumbbell selection.

Anyway, I'm not even sure what makes a hotel 4 stars nowadays. I do stay in about 25 hotels a year, and every hotel is so different regardless of 3 star or 4 stars. It's not a bad stay, but it's not really any different than any basic hotel. I hope you like it!

The perfect location downtown. The most amazing thing about the location is the we could WALK the BTS ice arena WITHOUT going outside. The city has a walkway that connects to the hotel. Walking into the hotel you are greeted with a bright, open and airy lobby. Check in was swift using the mobile app. The room was modern, clean and fresh smelling.
