The Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport is t...

The Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport is the largest airport in India. Very good interior, exterior is average compare to Mumbai airport exterior. IGI Airport serves as a major hub or a focus destination for several Indian carriers including Air India, Air India Regional, IndiGo, Jet Airways, SpiceJet, GoAir and Vistara. Approximately 80 airlines serve this airport. Terminal 1 is currently used by low cost carriers IndiGo and SpiceJet. Terminal 1C is used only for domestic arrivals. The terminal has been upgraded with a new expanded greeting area and a larger luggage reclaim area with 8 belts. Terminal 1D is the newly built domestic departure terminal with a total floor space of 53,000 m2 (570,000 sq ft) and has a capacity to handle 15 million passengers per year. Very good place for selfie lovers as you can click thousands of selfies here.

Visted terminal T2 during arrival and departure and i feel this is only for domestic commute. Indigo and go air are the main service providers working from T2. Size wise seems to be small and i wish there could be some more amneties for passengers like more number of seats in the gates and more option for dining as well. Since they have so many counters for both security check and baggage drop the overall clearence procedure was pretty easy for us.

A huge airport with state of the art facilities.

A huge airport with state of the art facilities.
There is spacious parking (fare is high), abundant support staff, plastic wrapping facility and kiosks for printing boarding pass at the entry gate.
During the pandemic, the airport authorities have installed sanitising stations for luggage as well.
There are one or two stalls for food and beverages.
If you're bringing a car to drop off someone, make sure you don't halt for long (I'd suggest 5-7 minutes) or else your vehicle might be towed and you may have to pay fine.
The metro service is well connected to the airport, you can travel either towards Dwarka or New Delhi Railway station.
If at all you miss your flight and want to get a new one, you can find booking counters at the end of the airport.

Two stars for the size and grandeur. Zero star for missing the opportunity to provide better facilities and systems. Just a little more information to be displayed for passengers carrying odd/big size check-in luggage. There is a seperate belt which everyone is not aware and needs sometime to locate. Outside for taxis lots of Pvt operaters without proper checking are allowed to solicit like a fish bazaar. Horrible state of affairs. It's scary too!

The Most Beautiful Place I Have Seen. There are so many nice places on the earth. They are scattered across the country. Every place has its own distinct features.

There are so many nice places on the earth. They are scattered across the country. Every place has its own distinct features. Some places have scenic beauty in abundance while many are famous for their architectural wonders. In addition every person has different tastes, choices and likings. Several people enjoy the sight of scenic beauty; some are attracted towards places of historical and archaeological interests. A few may be interested in visiting places of religious importance.

I have visited so many places of historical and tourist interest.

Best ever airport I've ever been to. Provison of great amenities, services and facilities along with tremendous architecture makes it outstanding from any other ordinary airport. Previously, I have have used many other international airports during my visits to two continents i.e. Europe and Africa, but I couldn't find any one international airport even close to the IGI Airport in any of the parameter. Being a Delhite, I am very proud and always enjoys to use this airport whether it's about smooth and easy check-in process, security check, availability of multiple options for shopping, food, etc. I would suggest everyone to experience this airport at least once in their lifetime and especially try to visit Terminal 3 by choosing the flight options giving you this opportunity. All the best and enjoy your journey.

Named after former Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi, it is the busiest airport in India in terms of passenger traffic since 2009. It is also the busiest airport in the country in terms of cargo traffic, overtaking Mumbai during late 2015. In the calendar year 2017, it was the 16th busiest airport in the world and 7th busiest airport in Asia by passenger traffic handling over 63.4 million passengers. It is the world's busiest airport for Airbus A320 aircraft. The planned expansion program will increase the airport's capacity to handle 100 million passengers by 2030. In 2017, IGI Airport won the Best Airport award from the Airports Council International along with Mumbai in the highest category of airports handling more than 40 million passengers per annum. Indira Gandhi International Airport T3 has 168 check-in counters and about 800 flight information display systems. The T3 has two levels, upper floor for departures and the lower for arrivals. It serves both international and domestic flights and features a 300m-long public area. The terminal has the capacity to handle Airbus A380 aircraft.
It has 95 immigration counters of which 49 are outbound. Three of the 78 aerobridges are suitable to support A380 size aircraft.
Construction of the terminal project was started in February 2007 and was completed on fast-track in 37 months by March 2010.

Good modern facilities. The airport is huge and well run. Adequate seating areas for waiting passengers, relatively affordable duty free prices etc.The airport is beautifully built and consists of a huge variety of places to shop. It's pretty lively and clean and the staff are nice. There is just one problem - the immigration lines are long.
