MY HUSBAND BROUGHT ME HERE FOR OUR 3 YEAR ANNIVERSARY. I RECEIVED A LONG STEM RED ROSE AT CHECK IN, HE RENTED A SUPERIOR SUITE WE HAD OUR OWN KITCHEN WITH GRANITE COUNTER TOPS, MINI FRIDGE AND MICROWAVE. CHOCOLATE COVERED STRAWBERRIES, A BOTTLE OF CIDER ON ICE, BEAUTIFUL GAS FIREPLACE THAT REALLY MADE THE ROOM ROMANTIC. WE HAD A COUPLES MASSAGE DONE AND IT WAS AMAZING. SIDE BY SIDE IN A RUSTIC ATMOSPHERE, GREAT THERAPIST
Beautiful hotel and very helpful staff whilst I was delivering a wedding.
An early New Year celebration with two other couples brought us to this comfortable small hotel in a convenient location with a fabulous restaurant. Our room supplied all our needs and a full delicious breakfast was included. Right now, we plan to have a reunion here again next year.
We went to the Artisan Restaurant. Actually, that is enough reason to go to the Delamar Southport. If you have never eaten at the Artisan, you have deprived yourself of a wonderful culinary experience. Take the time and make a reservation for yourself and a companion, and with food and a bottle of wine, you will have a marvelous gustatory experience.
Excellent lunch with extensive menu. Quiet, good for high end business lunch or romantic get together.
Food Excellent! Service Excellent! Although the party was pre arranged, the banquet table was not covered with a TABLE CLOTH!!!
HOW STUPID WAS THAT???
Wow what a place the rooms are great, staff was amazing.. want a quick getaway this place is the one to go to. 15 from the ferry an hour from NYC
Super nice accommodation. Everything about this place is comfortable the bed, the room, the shower, the towels, all of it. The breakfast was included and wonderful.
Great dinner at Artisan@The Delamar. Delicious food and wine. Great service and warm atmosphere.
Good is always good, and the service always matches the food. Either it's brunch, lunch, or dinner, good and service has been consistent in my experiences.
I have stayed here many times in the past on our drive up to Martha's Vineyard whether it be at the location in Southport or Greenwich. On our latest occasion we stayed in Southport and granted in had been over a year since our last stay so obviously a lot has changed.
We were booked into a room on the first floor directly across from the main bathroom for the restaurant. This has never happened to us in the past. I have been listening to what sounds like a dance club in the courtyard with people shouting and the bass pumping late into the night. On the other side of my room I have people congregating at the bathroom across from my room yelling at the top of their lungs.
This is beyond an annoyance as I am traveling with a 13 month old baby. I don't know what has happened to this hotel but it has gone so far downhill.
Top to bottom just an amazing hotel. Friendly staff, huge clean rooms, amazing bed. The Artisan restaurant (which is connected) is great as well.
Lovely rooms, delicious food at the Artisan Restaurant. I recommend the cheese sampler appetizer.
Great experience from start to finish. All of the staff was extremely courteous and professional. Can't wait to go back.
Very, very nice. Connecticut charming...youthful, enthusiastic staff....expensive...
This place is disgusting and I will never return. Expensive for what? The Marriott gives me a better experience for a quarter of the price and it s actually safe. Massage area was dirty and they did not use proper disinfectant or hand hygiene. Rooms were old/dated and dirty as our bed had crums or sand in it. I thought it would be a nice getaway when in reality it was a covid sesspool. Stay safe and avoid this hotel at all costs!!!
Comfortable rooms, nice location...picturesque town. The Artisan Restaurant had very nice food and a pleasant atmosphere. Staff were friendly, except for the older driver/concierge chap, seemed lost. Only other gripe were some unexpected, hidden fees post checkout - not a nice touch.
My boyfriend and I stayed overnight the first week of December. Check in was smooth and the room itself was very clean. Nothing grand or elaborate, but very nice. The bed was comfortable as well. The staff at the desk were very polite and helpful. The location of the hotel itself is excellent. It is a short walk from a...
Delamar Southport staff were very hospitable, accommodating, professional, and friendly. It was our anniversary and Michael, the FD Director, handled all arrangements wonderfully. Everywhere we went in the hotel the staff wished us a Happy Anniversary. Our dinner, as well as breakfast the next day, was delicious at Artisan, and the service was very attentive. We ended our stay with an relaxing couples massage. The champagne and chocolate covered strawberries were a nice touch as well. Additionally we enjoyed our lunch at The Gray Goose , within walking distance from the hotel.
A gem full of class and simplicity. Great service, no wait.... REALLY REALLY GOOD SERVICE. thanks to the staff for making it special for us. Food is fantastic and very tasty.
Nice hotel. Great restaurant in the lobby. 5 stars if they had a better gym with more flexible hours.
Looks nice on the outside, charges you for legally using medical marijuana for dealing with a medical condition outside in the smoking area, claims you did it in your room. Won't make good despite seeing my medical card, which I should not have had to show as it's medical information. Would love to use regular treatment but can't because of covid.
Tldr: takes advantage of medical issues and covid-19 for profit. Sad panda
The 'Artisan Restaurant' in this Hotel is among the best in the area. Been there many times and never had a disappointment with anything.
Go to this place - you will not be disappointed....
The Delamar has nicely appointed rooms and friendly staff. The associated restaurants runs a bit on the pricey side, but that's to be expected with the luxury feel of the hotel. My only criticism of the room was that it is not well insulated against noise, so I could hear people in the hallway and significant traffic noise from the interstate that runs near the hotel. If you can tune out noise like that, you'll like the hotel. If you can't, you may either want to ask for a room away from the highway, or stay somewhere else.
Our stay at the Delmar-Southport was enjoyable for the most part. The room was large and comfortable. However, the customer service was extremely poor. The front office manager, Michael Dugan, was extremely difficult to get ahold of and failed to follow up on a simple request.
Lovely boutique hotel with large, well appointed rooms, excellent service and a grat restaurant (Artisan). Highly recommend.
The staff were wonderfully helpful and the room were spacious yet cozy
I live right around the corner from this hotel. My family has stayed here many times and they are always pleased with the cleanliness and friendly staff. Speaking of friendly staff, they were nice enough to allow us to take pictures before the Red and White Ball in their lobby. I definitely recommend this hotel if you are looking for somewhere to stay in Fairfield!
We were there for an event outside and did not enter the hotel. The valet service seemed prompt and the grounds were beautiful!
ate at the restaurant. great place to eat with good service. fresh food that was very tasty. caramel on dessert was a bit too overpowering, but otherwise good
Horrific. Room felt and sounded like sleeping on the side of I95 which it was. Despite other options available, night manager refused to move me and suggested my request was "being difficult" and hung up on me (I was polite but certainly frustrated). Left for other accommodations at 11pm and was refunded but by far not to the standard of their other hotels where I have stayed happily.
My favorite place to stay in CT! Beautiful. The food is amazing as well.
Very nice place a 10 rating I recommend it and thanks to the kitchen and desserts area the best desserts of all conecticut.
You will never go wrong here. Always amazing n consistently good
Excellent hotel in sleepy Southport. Accommodations great. Staff very friendly. Artisan Restaurant served five star food from appetizers to main courses to desserts. Drinks also well made.
A little pricy but worth the money.
Lunch was good, service was a little on the slow side but overall a great experience.
Really poor customer service, absolutely no value for my money. No coffee maker in room, no robe, not even water in refrigerator. You have to tell them you need your room cleaned. For $400.00 per night. Nothing compares to JHouse in Greenwich for less money. Never again.
Lovely modern luxurious hotel in downtown Fairfield. The restaurant artisan is a must go for inexpensive upscale food. Particularly good for lunch and brunch. During the week excellent and decadent price fixed lunch with a variety if options. There is really nice outdoor seating and they have private rooms for small parties. Staff was frendly and attentive
First, we were not at the Delaware per se. We went to Artisan for dinner, and had a superb meal. We were greeted at the door, ushered to a table, and shortly thereafter were given a choice of waters. Shortly thereafter we were given the wine list, and ordered the Artisan Rose. For dinner my wife ordered a crab cake for her appetizer, and hanger steak for her entree. I ordered chicken liver mousse for my appetizer, and another appetizer, steak tartar for dinner. I cannot remember which two desserts that we ordered, but they were both very, very good. By all definitions, the meal that we had was totally excellent, and the staff at Artisan must be commended for their attention, service, courtesy, demeanor and helpfulness throughout our stay at the restaurant. We q
Wonderful hidden gem of Fairfield county! The included breakfast is an unexpected (and delicious!) plus. We'll be back!
Restaurante: delicious options. Calm, easy to park. Great for midweek lunch with girlfriends
We had my father's celebration of life there in their semi-outdoor room and it was beautiful. They were extremely accommodating and friendly. Sadly, I went to another celebration of life there in the winter and it was just as incredible. The nice part was that the manager remembered me...as silly as that sounds, it makes a difference.
Stylish ambience and a great place for inexpensive buffet breakfast
Lovely boutique hotel, very clean and great service. Water pressure was great and the outdoor space for the bar and restaurant was nice. Staff was taking the necessary precautions as well!
Five star hotel all the way; safe and convenient location. Easy_on_easy_off interstate 95.
Coming to Connecticut to work during Covid was not ideal. I needed to find a home away from home. The Delamar Southport was the only choice to consider in Fairfield County. The attentive staff, the well appointed rooms, and the delicious food at Artisan has made it all worthwhile. The efforts made by each person on staff from the butlers to the front desk, to management have been superior. The rooms are clean and well maintained. On cold nights and coming home late from work, the gas fireplaces warm the soul. Every safety precaution is evident. Masks are required and enforced.
I was there for a baby shower. The food was wonderful and the staff was very accommodating!
The hotel is beautiful and the restaurant inside, Artisan, is amazing as well.
An early New Year celebration with two other couples brought us to this comfortable small hotel in a convenient location with a fabulous restaurant. Our room supplied all our needs and a full delicious breakfast was included. Right now, we plan to have a reunion here again next year.
Restaurant service was great, food excellent. There was a slight hiccup in our order but it was taken care of rather satisfactorily. Overall a great experience!
Restaurant is AMAZING! So nice to be able to get local food prepared expertly!
Had a great Sunday brunch at the Delmar Hotel restaurant. Very reasonably priced food menu but the drinks and wine are a little on the pricey side. I recommend that you choose the price fixed menu option and leave the heavy drinking for another time
Everything was enjoyable except at check out time . I was informed that the. amenities , mini bar , nuts , water tea , soda, we're not included. The additional charge was $ 67.00. The front desk after considerable debate dropped the added charge.I was given the advice, for the future buyer beware.
Happy New Year Not !!!!!!!!
This was our sixth visit to this hotel. We have had various accommodations and have enjoyed all of them. We stayed for four nights this time and after one night, we asked for an ADA room. The hotel staff was very accommodating and we had help moving to our new room, which was perfect for our needs. We found the parking garage to be very convenient, and we always enjoy the breakfast. The hotel and restaurant staff are friendly.

Very clean. Love the place. Staff will assist in anyway they can. Very quiet. Everything was great overall from the staff to the breakfast foods.

Been here too many times to count. I think it is one of the best restaurants in the area and what I like most is that the quality has been very consistent. Not cheap but not ridiculous expensive with dishes that are very well made, good quality and great taste. We prefer the dining room and white table.

The Artisan restaurant for brunch on the patio was a good experience. Nice ambiance and food was great but wasn't out of this world. Good spot for a casual meal.
Lunch in Bar area. Great food. Fantastic service. I will be back.
We just spent 30 minutes watching the reviews for possible movies on demand. Only to learn no movies on demand are an option. Super frustrating after we decided not to go out to a movie tonite but to watch one in the room. Just disable the option?!?!!
Love their patio so much. They have amazing fresh herbs around the edges and they have the best burger I've found in a long time!
A great small upscale hotel. Everything you could want for a weekend getaway under one roof.
We stayed the night and treated ourselves while away from out daughter for the night. A great reception at the front desk with the offer of a drink at check-in.
Our room was three doors down from the massage sweet where we had a wonderful couples hot stone massage. The sweet had a couch, tv, and a steam shower for us to use after.
Our room itself was large and beautiful with a wet bar area and a table and chairs for two. The bed was soft and plush. The fireplace switched on with the flip of a switch to give us a nice romantic glow.
Dinner was just a elevator ride away. The food at Artisan was fantastic as usual.
The food and service where top notch, second to none!
Excellent service but prices are a bit on the higher side.
