Great service good coffee with unique specials and ice cream

Reasonable wait times, good food selection, very convenient!

No true electrical outlets to do work, but the milkshakes, tea, and coffee are great

Every time I go, it's such a disarray. It's like none of the employees have a station, they bump into each other and seem flustered. Coffee and food are good, regular campus prices (high) and the employees are all super friendly but they have no structure and it makes them slow.

Great food but slow service, long lines, horrible infrastructure to handle the large amounts of customers.

I only came for ice cream but it's all good. Personal favorite is the berserker

Love the extensive tea selection here, and the creative way they help you decide by providing samples to smell (smell gives a good idea of taste).

Best snacks & treats place on campus, they have live music some days, they serve ice cream till they run out just before late night closing, and it s just overall a nice place to hang out after dark. It s on the VT meal plan, so you don t have to worry about putting money on your card.

Deets is such a cozy place. I love their milkshakes so so much. Their hot chocolate is also good and their panini's. You just have to try everything (their s'mores kit too).

Some decent coffee with a wide selection of options. The drinks are a bit overpriced (about the same or less than Starbucks) and some decent baked goods. But it's the atmosphere that is 5-stars here. The central area is fun and lively with a great 90's/early 2000's rock playlist, the great and funny staff serving coffee and are willing to help in any way, and the side room is quiet and a great place to study or have a meeting with a professor. Also, the bathrooms are definitely the best on campus. Seriously.

If my brother is slinging coffee you know its good!

My daughter took me to this place when I came to pick her up from VT for summer break. She treated me to an ice cream cone. It was very good. If you do get the cone, choose single scoop. They don't start counting scoops until the cone is overflowing with ice cream. One scoop was plenty. I should also mention that this place is clean and fast.

This place used to make good coffee 4 years ago when I lived right by it but today I got a sweetened cappuccino and it is honestly worse than the coffee at McDonald's. The espresso they use is not worth the money.

Never. I repeat NEVER has hot fudge been given to me upon my request, due to Deet's Place's carelessness in their failed efforts to restock the most wonderful ice cream topping there is. Hot Fudge is my favorite topping and I feel as though my ice cream experience is never fully complete without it. The lack of hot fudge at this establishment is honestly despicable and I am downright surprised by the lack of shame felt by employees when they are forced to deliver this horrible news to me. No ice cream treat can be called a delicious dessert without a companion of hot fudge. I am ASHAMED to be someone who has given my hard earned money to Deet's Place. How dare they claim to be an ice cream dispensary?? Truly awful.

I love Deet's coffee. I usually a White Mocha and it is one of the best coffees I've had. Would recommend Deet's to anyone.

One of the best places on campus! I'm a bit biased...given I worked here for almost four years... But I loved it! Great pastries, coffee, and food. Good atmosphere, with multiple choices for seating (stools at the bar, booths in the front room, booths and tables in the side room that tends to be a bit quieter and attracts people studying). A campus necessity.

Great food, very big variety, not too expensive. Perfect for VT students.

It has a nice relaxed seating area off to the side. Haven't tried the coffee or pastries yet, but if you want a smoothie, go to west end. However, their milkshakes are decent.

The milkshake was too milky, and thus my arse was spouting liquid magma the heights of which have never been seen! Gourmet cuisine!

Great place to do homeworks if your a student and don't want to go to a Starbucks.

Love the banana split. Pretty much any typical ice cream place. But that also have awesome coffee, shakes, and some food.

Deet's has friendly, respectful management that does a great job at providing quality service by thoroughly training their employees. The combination of quality coffee, icecream, snacks, and atmosphere gives a much needed boost to academic productivity. In the past two school years, they have implemented environmentally friendly to-go cups which has a huge impact considering the amount of daily student orders. You can even opt for a ceramic mug if you plan to stay and study! In short, Deet's Place is a great place.

For coffee: A plethora of flavours to choose from. For Ice-Cream/Shakes: Diverse flavours to rival Baskin Robbins, dare I say better. Combine that with the best student led service, and you get Deet's.
