Cool building but not a very baby friendly place, especially for somewhere that s so public health focused. The pumping/nursing room was awkward and the rooms were difficult to get into and impossible to bring a stroller into. We were there for a conference and we couldn t figure out how to leave the campus with a stroller.
Many rooms for sessions. An auditorium for key speakers! A cafeteria next to it. A metro station in walking distance. And it is in the middle of a city!
What else can you expect from a conference center?

Amazing amphitheatre with great acoustics. Screens were easily viewable from the seats, but stage is partially obstructed.
Great space. Only cautions are the airport-like security to get onto the NIH campus and an expensive (and sometimes busy) cafeteria, though the food was good.
J just a short walk from the security screening area is the Matcher Center. It's easy to find and a great place to have lunch. The center's media features almost always work as expected. It's clean and attractive -- a fine place to host an event.
Getting in, however, can be a massive pain. Security is generally both courteous and patient, but they can't magically make their computers go any faster -- and crowds seen to make the computers go slower -- so if you're planning to attend a popular conference, leave an hour earlier than you think should be appropriate.
Bonus positive note: the Metro's Red Line lets off right at the campus' front door. Just exit at Medical Center.
Facility has various size rooms. Nice outdoor location for breaks. Close to metro station. Security to get into campus can take a while.
WiFi access is improved but don t count on your phone/ text service always working inside the underground auditorium
Good view n Sound systems. Best for research presentations
This is a solid conference center. They have a great guest WiFi signal, even in basement auditoriums. The bathrooms seem to be accessible. The cafeteria food options were amazing! They had a salad bar with organic veggies, a variety of hot food bars- international flavors, and sandwiches.
