Awesome people work here. They were booked up but helped us get kayaks at another place near by. I think it is their sister shop in Cates Park.

Amazing views, you get to kayak through cove filled with jellyfish
The staff is the most friendly people i have ever met
Friendly staff, great location, quick service with our reservation, can't ask for much more
The staff were all so helpful, friendly, and patient and I had a wonderful experience!
Beautiful Deep Cove but it's hard to find parking there , need a new big parking lot to attract more people to visit Deep Cove. You can rent Kayak from the Kayak centre but I have my own one, supposed to go there kayaking with my own kayak but parking is a big problem there, only 2 hours park on street and most parking are occupied most of the time.
Rented SUP from here this morning. A perfect day for paddling, flat water and blue sky. Postcard views all around. The boards are large and stable. Well organised and friendly staff.
A great time on the water! Just finished a 2 day Paddle Canada Level 1 Kayak Course. Our instructor was a young man, Jack McCleary (?). He was an excellent teacher, clear, articulate and pleasant. I would highly recommend him and the Deep Cove Kayak Centre for all your kayaking and SUP instruction or rentals.
Amazing paddle and kayak experience. Beautiful scenery
Convenient on line booking. Good services. Nice paddle in good weather.
One of the best thing you can do in Vacouver for those nature lovers!! Staff are friendly and helpful.
Haha I'm back here again after 1 year later! Due to COVID 19 the staff were very throughly cleaning the boats and still had a great time on the water!
Just a heads up : for safety reason they only allow 2 doubles ans 4 singles per hour, if you can't book it make sure to call to check!
Such a great experience in the summer. Would definitely recommend this place. Can also take your pet as well. Beautiful scenery and very calming. Loved it. Will be back.
So that was my previous review up above. A year ago in 2018, this year was very let down
The service was so slow, it was a gong show so unorganized...after we signed the waiver then stood in line to get everything dealt with ,it took another 15 mins to get our gear, and they kept skipping over us...once they did help us the young man was very kind and helpful. But the womans washroom was disgusting...would recommend to maybe clean your bathrooms more, and get some qualified staff or some organizational skills.
Wasnt impressed this time.
Can't go wrong here. Nothing better than being in a Kayak on a beautiful sunny day. These guys are great for large parties as well!
A quiet little harbor, suitable for a family leisure picnic. Take a stroll around characteristic markets.
Fantastic experience, great team!
Did a deep cove explorer tour. Very individual 3 hrs kayak tour. Our guide Logan was great.
Little on the pricey end for a kayak but well worth it for the views. I also saw a seal!!!
Convenient, but there are much cheaper rantal places.
Nothing to complain about except the bathrooms and changing rooms.
Kayaking is always a good time, would go as often as humanly possible!
Excellent place to rent your Kayak, it is also nice to kayak around the deep cove; however, summer is always busy
My boyfriend and I had a very enjoyable experience with the Deep Cove Kayak Centre! We rented a double kayak for two hours. It was reasonably priced and they even rented us a dry bag so that we could take our phones for pictures/to know the time. They kept any valuables we had behind the desk which was helpful. The staff were very friendly and explained to us the rules of kayaking as we were new to it. The day we went it was a little windy which made it difficult to kayak the one direction and there were lots of waves from the boats. However as we were kayaking we saw a seal pop it's head of the water very close to our kayak. We then saw another one and watched them swim around. This made the whole experience worth it!
The lake is really good for kayaking, and the rental place has a fairly good system, lots of kayaks, you do have to wait, but not that much, and the attention is really good
Expensive, but worth it since they are in one of the best spots to kayak
Friendly staff, good facilities and good views.
The staff are very friendly and will answer all questions, they can keep your valuables with them while you go for an explore around the cove.
The views are absolutely beautiful and you will not be disappointed, plus you will feel relaxed afterwards. So much oeace and quiet.
Great staff, lots of activities and rentals. My favourite is their Friday night kayak trip. Definitely worth checking out.
Friendly staff, nice kayaks. Just make sure to book in advance because without its highly unlikely to find a free kayak especially in the weekends
This was definitely one of the best kayak exoeriences I have ever had, the guide was humorous and the equipment is well maintained.
The biggest plus was that we got to witness these sparkling particles in the watef while kayaking at night! Just a mind blowing moment!
Too bad my camera was not good enough to capture the scenery
Had a great time, definitely recommend kayaking with them!
A great place for lessons and rentals to enjoy Indian Arm and the Deep Cove area.

There staff are great friendly and very helpful i look forward to going back.
Super friendly staff, quick check in, slightly slow being able to return the gps tracker but overall great place
I would give this place 10 stars if I could. Fantastic staff who are dedicated to great customer service, professionalism and safety. High energy, organized and funny - these guys will take you out for tours that are once in a lifetime quality. The area is beautiful and boy, do these guys know their stuff - from tides to winds, they make it so your kayaking experience goes off without a hitch. The tour was well paced even for less physically fit individuals and nobody was left behind. We saw so many amazing wildlife, even fluorescent algae in the water...it was truly magical. Thank you Deep Cove Kayak - you made my summer!
5 star experience at the kayak centre during our May Vancouver trip! Will do again.
Very easy to book online. We got there early and they let us start early. Helped us find a route for our experience and everyone was very kind. Great views!
Deep Cove is best place for SUP and kayaking in Vancouver. This place is your only option for renting there. Gear is good but it's always really crowded and they can't always seem to have your rental for the time that you reserve. That said, it's always better to reserve ahead of time. If you just show up (on a nice day), you likely won't get any equipment for hours.
Pretty pricey but nothing comes close for location. Gorgeous inlet
Went here with my boyfriend for a kayak date was amazing, defiantly recommend
This is my favorite spot for kayaking. Come in June-August for the best weather. Be prepared to look for parking like crazy, though. So arrive ahead of time for your kayaking reservation. Also, make sure to do a reservation online before you go.
great place to get a feel for the popularity of kayaking. knowledgeable staff ... good equipment ... great place to paddle out of - lots of scenery.
Awesome views, friendly instructors, beautiful area.
An amazing place to envoy outdoor activities. Sightseeing, kayak, dragon boat. Love it!
Super well organized, with friendly staff. This location is a must do for both locals and visitors.
Slightly high prices but amazing service and location!
Excellent for renting a kayak and spend some time on the water.
Most of their employees were young but very professional and helpful. Thanks for the great experience deep cove kayak centre
Great place to stay. Kayaks better to book in advance.
Friendly helpful staff and the night tour was amazing and informative!
We had a great time kayaking with our guide Kevin. He knew quite a bit about aquatic life and acknowledged the Tsleil-Waututh Nation which was awesome! He also brought us to visit a beach on a small island and gave us a donut! The tour was more intimate as it was just us and our guide, which was nice because we got to go at our own pace. We highly recommend this tour!
Great place to learn kayaking. Instructors are friendly and super knowledgable.
Very good place love it. Fantastic staff& equipment with reasonable price.
Great place to kayak, but it can get really busy on the weekends. Staff is helpful and the equipment is pretty good for beginners.
Fair prices, friendly staff, lovely location. We brought our cousins here and they loved it!
we rented a boat for the day from the Deep Cove North Vancouver Marina. It was a beautiful day and the boat was clean and well stoked with life jackets. The young girl working there was very helpful and friendly. However the older gentlemen who we initially spoke to on the phone when we first reserved the boat and whom we later met when we completed the paperwork on the day of the rental, was rather gruff and without personable skills. Overall, if you can overlook this man's lack of costumer service and general ability to deal with the general public, it was a good time. Good thing we didn't have to spend too much time speaking/dealing with the older gentlemen who runs/manages? the place. Good activity for a socially distanced experience in time of Covid.
Loved the experience great service, it was our first time kayaking and they instructed us perfectly. We had no problem during our experience!
Paradise meets great service! A must experience in Vancouver.
The place in Deep Cove to rent Kayaks. Close to beach.
The staff here are always amazing. They make sure you get out on the water as fast as possible and won't overcharge you. Good idea to make reservations as they do get very busy and parking is sometimes pretty difficult when the weather is good. Make sure you ask the staff what the best route is on the water because they know the waterway in and out.
Friendly staff, quality rentals. Had a lot of fun paddling up and down the coast and saw a couple seals.
40 mins looking for parking... not ok. Had to lose out on 30 mins of kayak time because of it. The rest was smooth sailing, or uh.. kayaking. The ipad chek in was super fast and as soon as we got there we got a paddle a life vest and push out into the water.
Just maybe transit next time you need to go to deep cove, cause parking there is hell.
Pricey but you're paying for the view. Service was really slow and they didn't have alternatives for wifi to sign the waiver so make sure you get it done beforehand. Even though they're slow, they do good work.
Great location. Go for a few hours and explore deep cove.
Very busy but great spot to get kayaks. May need to book a few days in advance!
Great place! took tonight (June 24th 2017) the friday night kayak tour, it was amazing, an experience of a lifetime, I will never forget. I fell to the water once and they were prompt to help me and offer to give me dry clothes. Kayaking the night away staring at the mountains, the stars and the glowing lights of the houses was a gem in my trip. But please, reserve quickly as the places go out fast!!!
Great place to take a kayak or paddle out on the water. Deep cove is absolutely lovely and the waters are typically pretty calm for ocean water paddle boarding. I rented a couple of paddle boards and the staff was great. Prices were decent and the experience was awesome.
- nice and helpful staff
- good equipment
Honestly this place feels Heaven on Earth, such an astonishing landscape!! I went there on summer 2019 and had such an incredible experience, it s just so beautiful, warm and fun! I totally recommend this, specially if you re into kayaking!! I m sure you ll have a memorable experience
Only hard to reach from Vancouver City if you have a wholly irrational fear of public transport. The staff are professional and accommodating, indicating how far you can go during your hire period. The rental kayaks are of good quality. The views up Indian Arm are incredible. Saw (and heard) at least six seals during our two hours. Admire the cliffside houses and wonder how high their insurance premiums must be for defying the laws of engineering.
Convenient and run well. Very busy on weekends in the summer. Offers beautiful scenery for kayaking.
Sent us out with a storm coming, we got stranded and had to be rescued. There were about 20 people that had to be rescued. If you re gonna have 15 year olds operating a kayak rental they should know not to send people out in those conditions.
When we called for help after getting stranded they didn t seem to care and we had to get a local to take us home in their boat.
