Dearborn Wholesale Grocers, L.P. Review

They have everything that you could possibly need, but some items are top pricey.

This is basically Urban Sam's Club.
Great deals for bulk groceries. Well worth the visit.
Even Tobacco products in bulk for good prices but a business license is required for those particular items

I have other grocery stores that I visit near me, such as Aldi, Market Fresh Foods, and Pete's Fresh Market, but I was instantly drawn to Dearborn Wholesale Grocers after seeing its coupons listed in 'The Garfield Lawndale Voice'. Coupons with items such as 1 Dozen Eggs priced at 39 cents each; a 24 pack of 'Best Choice Water at $1 per case, Aunt Millie's White Bread at 49 cents, and so on.......

Dearborn Wholesale Grocers is really not too far from my apartment, it sits just short of 2 miles, so I figured why not! Plus as an East Garfield Park resident, visiting Dearborn Wholesale Grocers gets me on the other side, which is the West Garfield Park side which I rarely visit, yet have several Yelp bookmarks of businesses in West Garfield Park.

I dropped in one afternoon to pick up dinner, as well as check Dearborn Wholesale out. I was totally observant while visiting, examining their prices. Dearborn Wholesale benefits that buyer that wants to purchase food items by the bulk. And most of the prices reflect the item being purchased by the bundle. For instance! Buying 3 or more of the item gets you that item cheaper versus purchasing it individually. Get my gist? Since I was just purchasing little, I really had to look at the prices thoroughly so that it was not a surprise once I got to the register.

In the end I was slightly disappointed with how 'The Garfield Lawndale Voice' listed the coupons for Dearborn Wholesale Grocers, because if you are someone like me just shopping for groceries the coupons can easily be misleading. But with what I have shared I hope my review helps anyone interested in visiting Dearborn Wholesale.

Just had my first shopping experience here and really wanna rate it at 4.5. The store is well lit, spacious, organized, clean. The staff are very helpful, including security. #MyNewFavoriteStore

Of course with any location some prices may be a few cents more but it's so worth the numerous selection of reasonably priced items. #Deals

Be sure to check out their circular for the extra awesome added sales (Located just at the first turn off the entrance, passed the shopping carts). However they also close at 5pm so #ShopEarlyShopOften

BUSY! Expensive, compared to Costco or Wal-Mart or Sam's club.

Overpriced inventory for so called wholesale Grocers but they do have a huge variety of inventory including special sale on expired candy, yuuup expired candy !

Staff extremely polite and very helpful. I went on delivery day, but store was still empty at that time of day, so I was able to look around, purchase my items and get home before transfer EXPIRED.

People are friendly and they will help you find what you need. Very good experience!!!

Rude customers everywhere, I almost got hit with a cart due to a rude customer and not one time was the word excuse me uttered. I won't be going there unless I need tissue and might not go then.

Large selection of grocery items. Had a lot of items I had never seen before in other stores. As for prices, some items are cheaper than other stores & some are priced higher.

Great prices huge varieties to choose from love that you buy in bulk.

Why I just went to Dearborn Wholesale Store, for one thing and ended up buying their Italian Beef that was on sale for $26. You must buy the whole entire kit to get the whole meal. The Italian Beef Kit contains: Bulk Italian Beef Meat, Bread, Hot/Mild Peppers......OMG you truly going to Loved Everything Trust Me!!!!!

The experience was good . They just didn't have the pickles that I wanted van holtens hot spicy pickles

Shopping to keep our AFTERSCHOOL kids candy store full of their favorites.. We were happy to get there and ENJOY the fruit of our labor..FULLY STOCKED..EVEN ALL THEIR CHOICES..WE FOUND THEM ON SALE THERE. THANKS TO DEARBORN WHOLESALE FOR OPENING YOUR DOORS ON TO THIS COMMUNITY SAFE PROGRAM THAT COST THEIR PARENTS NOTHING BUT TO TRUST US TO CARE FOR THEIR KIDS..EVERYDAY.. WE WILL COME AGAIN..

Wide variety of food; something like Sam's but smaller. Good customer serviceg. Good security.

They didn't have variety of chews but loved it. I'll be coming back

Interesting place with some good deals on food. 2boxes of wheat thins for $1 that expired last month...not cool. $8 for a skinny container of Clorox wipes....definitely not a deal. Other than that, no reason to not go back

One of the biggest shopping centers on the Westside it's convenient for a lot of people and most helpful to the get things in great quantities

The fresh meat section is awful. We only found small bags of chicken. The paper bags tore into pieces while bring the groceries in. However, if you have a small candy store and you are on the west side this is a place for you. If you are shopping for your home just skip this place and go to Aldis, Fair play, or Lemington.

I shop with Dearborn for my small business. The staff members there are helpful.

I'm excited they open the doors to the public everyone I have came across that works there has always greeted me with a smile even when I use to go with my church

I had to come in 3 separate times to get an advertised product. I called 1st, was told it was in and then disappointed once I drove to the store to buy it. On the 3rd trip, an employee got angry because I didn't want him leaning on my cart as I waited to be checked out, telling me "I work here!" I explained to him that was the very reason he shouldn't be leaning all on my cart! Turns out, he was the baggage guy. When it was my turn to be checked out he didn't want to help with my bags claiming I didn't want him touching my cart! I expect to be treated better. I know I wouldn't have that issue at Costco or Sam's Club!
