Tried take out menu once. Was great taste experience. Easy to finish yourself and nice to serve in the forced home restaurant. Highly recommended for an evening 'eating out' with family or friends in their own ambiance.

I ate there yesterday with a girlfriend. A 6-course menu. Extremely well-balanced with small dishes so that you didn't really get full. The dishes were served and poetically described at the table. My compliments.
This remains without a doubt the number 1 taste experience for us. This is not normal. The total picture according to etiquette has to be discussed again (always ladies first, etc.), but apart from that I don't understand why this has no star. What a wonderful quality!
Highly recommended, we always eat delicious! Now also more affordable with the handy take-away packages. Where you have fun making everything yourself and making it a party.
Restaurant housed in a mill in the center of Amstelveen with private free parking. The restaurant is classically and nicely decorated with nice armchairs and linen-covered tables that fortunately were not too close together. We had reserved a table for 5 people and chose the 5-course menu. For one of the 5 guests we asked for salt-free or low-salt dishes, but gradually people did not seem to be able to meet that. The dishes that were served in small portions were of excellent quality, tasteful and the plates / dishes were nicely made. The time between the dishes what well-tuned. The service was attentive with attention to the guests, competent and not rushed as is the case in many restaurants nowadays. All in all a successful evening though we found the bill rather peppery and we wondered if the somewhat larger eater would not return home with a dissatisfied feeling.
Went with my mom during the restaurant week promotion (last year). It was a very posh dining experience, friendly staff, very nice food (three-course was just the right amount as well)! Liked it a lot!
Yesterday picked up for the first five-course menu. Got a good description. We have eaten top, really compliments, worth repeating. On to the next menu
De Jonge Dikker is a really beautiful Dutch restaurant located in a converted windmill. The food was really good, I really appreciated the fact that they even had an all vegeterian set menu and they use 80% locally sourced ingredients. The service was excellent and wine selection great, will definitely come back.
We enjoyed it so much, we returned for a second round of 4 course lunch and de Jonge Dikkert lived up to our expectations once again. The flavors just explode in your mouth; a delight in every course. The female sommelier who attended to us was so pleasant to converse with and she had this apparent talent at recommending the perfct pairing to accompany the courses. Highly recommend this restaurant. You will not be disappointed.
Kitchen and hospitality at De Jonge Dikkert are excellent. We enjoyed a wonderful evening with family and were served various very tasteful dishes and some fine wines.
Very interesting restaurant located in an old mill. They serve a fixed menu, like a surprise menu. This menu is every time different. They target to source 80% from Dutch soil.
The food was good I can give it 4.5 points and the price was very reasonable.but one of the waiter, I don't like his attitude very much...It's like I owe him money.I don't understand where his superiority comes from... But there is a guy named Dalmar who is super nice. We like him very much, so I asked his name in order to praise him here.
Atmospheric business with a friendly service, a pleasant price level and contemporary dishes. Generally in good quality, but a little more attention is always required to deliver this level in terms of staff expertise.
What a blissful experience is the food at De Jonge Dikkert. Professional service with an informal character. The food is refined and delicious. The experience is great and the restaurant rubs against a star.
Yesterday with my husband delicious eaten at De Jonge Dikkert. There is even a separate menu for vegetarians. Very friendly service with a passion for the profession and a beautiful ambiance. Highly recommended!!
Last night, after not having been with de Jonge Dikkert for several years, I went back again. It was a very successful evening. The total picture is correct! Great ambiance, good service, delicious dishes full of flavor, time between courses was perfect. We chose the 6 course dinner with a matching wine pairing and no course was "less". As far as I'm concerned "on to a star" and we'll be back again soon!
Great place, great food and great staff! Unfortunately we had to be a bit fast but still manage a 3 course dinner. We asked and the cook was able to serve us first and faster.
You must have been here! The atmosphere and service are so good, and the food and wines were very tasty. Varied menu, with many pure flavors. Unfortunately, I did not find everything the same taste, but largely satisfied!
Excellent place with ditto service! We had the Chef s Menu (5 course) and enjoyed every bite of it. High service without snobbishness, so you feel right at home. - i would recommend them to all my friends.
This is the restaurant in old Dutch windmill. Restaurant where windmill was refurbished. I am sticking to local production and consumption and there is also a Dutch wine.
The dishes are sublime. Nothing to complain about. I've been there a number of times now for dinner. The only comment is the very slow service. The restaurant should certainly do something about that. The last time we waited 1 hour for the menu.
We did not reserve, just got a seat at a bar table. Drinks were good. Had to wait a long time on the menu, was not to our imagination, very expensive. A lot of staff, but rather entertained, than to serve us. We went to another restaurant because we were hungry.
Reserved this for a birthday. The food was delicious, really excellent and worthy of the Michelin star. The service however... It was very disorganized and took us more than 3hours for 3 dishes. We were never served by the same waiter (most of them were nice). The waiting time was much too long and we often had to ask twice. Even for the check we had to wait a long time. So overall the food is a 5, the price is also good, the atmosphere is nice but the service is a 2.
