Could use better gym equipment and replace some of the, many, unused cardio equipment. A few neutral grip items and handles, a few more machines for lat pulldown, arm isolation, and abs would have a solid place there.
Also they close whenever they can...
This Sportsplex has been modernized to the fullest, it offers so much for the individual.
Good parking.
Handy for bridge coming from Halifax, the main bus route is right outside.
Shopping close by, and close to Downtown Dartmouth and ferry.
I love the Sportsplex, nice place to work out or just go for a relaxing swim.
Way, way better than a franchised competing gym (you know the one I mean) in every way.
Everything here is perfect and makes it even better for mothers with childreb. They can work out while the children play . Great place for everyone
For all the money they spent disappointed at the weight room. Same size or smaller layout than original, its impractical

Didn t really get a chance to look around was only there for the swim to see what the new pools like great job on the inside love the climbing wall slides are fast but don t think it s worth $8.00 per person for a swim
Warmest kiddie pool in HRM... we've tried them all. More expensive for non-members than CGC but worth it for a family swim. Good skating rink, and lots of activities on offer.

The Zatsman Sportsplex is now looking better than ever because when you first walk in the staff are right there if you need anything. The new gymnasim is the nicest and probably the most newest and the cleanest gym of all time. Great Job Sportsplex!!
Went in for an inbody scan. There was a slight miscommunication. I called back and they sorted everything out immediately. Excellent customer service. Highly recommended!
The facility is clean and bright, the staff are helpful. The family change area is probably the best I've seen. If you're going to watch a swim meet however, get there early as there's almost no seating allotted for parents/spectators.

Waited for months for this renovation to be done. Went to the pool with my 2 sons (12 and 13) during March Break and were very disappointed. They got rid of one waterslide. They got rid of the diving board. They got rid of the Sauna. They put up some kind of weird climbing wall on the side of the pool that only 2 kids can use at a time, (they mostly get maybe 2 handholds out the pool and flop back in). The new spa/whirlpool was out of order (brand new??) none of the staff seemed to know why. All in all not an improvement as far as we could see.

We attended a craft show here and I can't get over how well laid out the building is! For one, the craft show was wonderful and the track layout actually made it really unique and exciting! Beyond that, the facilities are really clean and the staff are so friendly!! We needed a measuring tape to check a certain item and everyone was willing to help us. We plan on going back to check out their services.
great pizza cant wait to go back for my 70th helping of this great pizza. also the rink is purple i think someone ate my shoe while i was taking a poop. hope this does not affect my kids health because last time someone ate my shoe my kid had no shoes.

The pool was great today, but why did your staff refuse to honour our family pass for pirates cove? There was no expiration date?
When I went to the teen swim I had some of my stuff stolen so bring a lock but meanwhile the slides were really fun.
Great facility since the renovations. Lots for the whole family to do, good hours, and child minding services available. Membership is totally worth it.
We are happy that the Sportsplex has reopened and quickly purchased a family membership there. The staff are friendly, the gym is well designed, and the facility is bright. There have been some hiccups in regulating the heat, which, seems to have been mostly resolved.
Beautifully renovated. They have everything! My kids are in swimming lessons and the instructors are so good with them! Front desk are very friendly and informative! They offer a military discount on memberships. Family membership is really worth the price, includes EVERYTHING including free child care!
Do not buy membership for weight room! I grew up going to Sportsplex, but the renovations and new weight room are terrible.
Frequently dirty floors and equipment with smudges all over mirrors. Weights rarely put back in place. WAY more cardio machines than required with only a handful of people ever using them at any given time. Free weights are in too tight of a location with not enough for more than a few people at a time. Boxing gear down below is not properly mounted and unsupervised, leaving young teens to horse around recklessly.
From week one of the re opening the roof leaked and has continued to do so. Weight room is regularly too hot with broken or improperly working HVAC . Security gates both entering and leaving Sportsplex rarely work as they should.
I always loved the Sportsplex and needless to say, I m very disappointed in the state of this form staple and leader of Dartmouth fitness.
I am so happy to see that they have started the renovations. It is an old building that is full of heart. It just needs an update.
Gym could have more power lifting accessories though it has many other unique things as well

I went there before it closed for major renovations. I loved it. Pool, track, classes and weight room all under one roof. Yes, it was old and outdated but that's why its closed for renovations. (Ice rink and track are open but I can't use that right now) The staff were always fantastic, knowledgeable and friendly. I'm really looking forward to the opening. They have been great with communicating information in their newsletter and on social media.
Looking forward to February.
It has a pool, gym work out center and courts (new pool, gym exercise, and weight room of 2019) and I highly recommend this if you enjoy any of the listed items above.
Nice place, lots of fun for the whole family, we had a birthday party here for my son and it was very well-organized. The staff are friendly and helpful. My son goes to camp here during winter and spring breaks, he likes it. We especially like the Tarzan's rope and the sauna.
Lived close by,used the facility many times. Found the staff very friendly,and help full.there is fun for all ages,and priced reasonable.
Went to bingo there,but no more they need the floor space for an extension to the SPORTSPLEX.

Sportsplex has really good facilities & lots to do even if you don't have membership (free). Great place for various options to workout & get active.

Absolutely love the renov's done at the sportsplex! The gym and pool are updated, and the staff are fantastic.
If you intend to shower there, be sure to bring your own shampoo/body wash and blow dryer (not provided like at goodlife).
I loved the pool so I became a member and now also enjoy their spin classes, member lane swims, gym equipment, friendly staff, member change rooms, swim suit spinner and sauna. The ice rink and event rooms are nice, and there are a lot of great classes available. Parking and location are very convenient. Child care is available.
First time I was back there in years. They did a great job in renovating and updating the facilities. A day pass offers you so much to do. It was great. I'm a fan and will go back soon!

This was my first time to the new facility and I really enjoyed it. I got to try out the rock climbing wall and it was a lot of fun...also a great workout. The gym areas are a decent size with brand new equipment. One gym area overlooks the pool and the other the street.
There are a couple of vending machines but no canteen to cater to customers or large group events. I did hear from a staff.member that THE KITCHEN would be opening in the space next to the gymnasium. That would be great. Over all it has a nice new, fresh feel and there seems to be plenty of options for staying fit and having fun.
Great service as always! New renovations look AWESOME! definitely new up to date.. pool is great, changing rooms are private and safe, showers are great. Gym is awesome, cricket rooms are a blast! Prices are more then reasonable, good place to spend an afternoon!
The remodel looks great. Gym is a good size and spacious over looking the pool for runners/walkers. Squash courts and studios look great as well.

Went to the Christmas craft show Oct 27. Although there is a lot of renovation in the building, it was easy to get around and a good venue for this. Free parking and $6. admission.
Facility is aging but hosts many things such as an arena, pool, fitness centre, racquetball and squash courts, kids day camps etc. New renos are on the way starting June 2017 which should turn it into a 5 star facility once completed.
