Its been like that since I was 15 yrs. old and hell I'm 35,that's sad there keeping up the tradition,but we as people don't report it to corporate and that's why they don't care. They get paid to be rude.
This place is very convenient and they offer lots of services for the community. I have NEVER had a problem with the staff they are always nice. I recommend this place to the public.
If I could give ZERO stars I would. Their customer service on the phone is just plain AWFUL. They put me on hold for hours only for the call to be dropped. I called again several times only for NO ONE to pick up. Very Disappointing.
Unprofessional to the fullest. Have you on hold for a hour before they tell you to call again tomorrow, & they rude smh
Good luck to get them answer your phone......They can hold you for more than 30 min, some of the stuff are very rude.

This place has a bad system of making people wait. I came at 8am and wasn t received until 11am how crazy is that? And i had to go ask twice why do people that came after me was cerved and had left before me? That s when they gave me papers to fill out. So i spent mostly 2 hours waiting for nothing.

I made an 8am appointment, and was in and out by 10:30. Everyone there is uncommonly nice and patient with (frankly) visitors who can't read signs nor follow pretty obvious and basic instructions.
Went to get tested and was in and out within an hour. Only thing was the wait time to get my results a week later on the phone. Phone time was 20 mins. But other that everything is good!

Most sweetest staff and nurses... yes the clerk at the front/cashier was on her phone while tending to me but hey thats what most of us do anyways on the job. Plus she did her job and didn't leave me waiting or was rude at all.. yes the wait i went in about 8:45 and left around 11:45. But all was done. The nurse was the sweetest nurse ever I wish I could remember her name... also the ladies at the desk were respectful and nice. I repeat...The bad thing here is the wait time... but it is well worth it!
I've had to use a case manager at Dallas county housing and not one single time have they ever responded. Three years now and no help whatsoever. It makes me literally sick having to deal with my case manager Pamela Jones. What good is it having a case manger if she doesn't do anything or answer any pertinent questions to my case.. I've been trying for two months to speak with my case manager and whenever i'm sitting in front of her she helps other clients. She even took a personal phone that lasted 13 minutes while I waited. I've tried speaking with the case manager supervisor Ms. Felicia McGee and have received the same treatment. We are forced to work with people who hate their job and take it out on us. I used to deal with another dept and not once have I ever been treated so badly.

Got in at 8 and got out by 9:20 on a Thursday. So it was way faster than expected. Would have gave 5 stars but a lady at the front desk for STD testing was very rude. Black women make us look so bad always wanting to walk around with the angry face.. #SMILE

I was correct in showing that Starbucks on Alpha Road and Dallas Parkway managers were violation of law for allowing heavily bearded man work without a beard net.
However the bearded man still is working without proper sanitary protection to the open foid, beverages, utensils.
Nice staff, however they seem to move slow. Overall my needs were met in a timely manner.

I really don t like the fact that they be rushing every patient and not explaining nicely or being nice, and I just needed a TB skin test and left me without a bandage.

I went in last month and was told is would receive assistance for gas and electric, the very next day the lady I dealt with, Ms. Cook, called to tell me that she made a mistake and they would not help with electric because I made to much money that month but told me to call for another appt at the end of this month. Why does she still have a job with these kind of mistakes?!?!
I called this week, spoke to 2 very rude individuals, Marcus and Felicia. When they talk to you, and heaven forbid I would ask questions, they responded like they were talking to some homeless, ignorant person that couldn't comprehend anything. I felt so belittled when I spoke with these 2 rude sorry people, and come to find out they can't help me anyway because there are no funds.
My point is this.....if you hate your job, don't like dealing with the public then maybe you should get off your butt and fund something else. Some of us are truly going through a hard time and the last thing we need is to deal with your crazy, sorry, sarcastic, rude, ignorant, inconsiderate self.

Yes, you wait forever. But you know what? I paid $20 and received medical care that would have cost hundreds elsewhere. I walked in there scared, hurting, embarrassed, and sick. From the girl at the window to the cashier, to the nurse who examined me, and to the doctor who came to talk to me, I was treated with kindness, understanding, professionalism, respect, and quality medical care. I arrived, without an appointment, at 1pm, was seen around 4 and was out by 5. I'd say 4 hours is not a bad trade for a full exam, labs, blood work, medication, and the ease of mind offered by the staff FOR ONLY $20!! Having this clinic as a resource is a blessing that a lot of people in the world would love to have. Stop complaining about wait times and think about where you would be if this place wasn't there for you.

First I spent 17 mins waiting for someone to pick up . at about 18 mins someone actually picked up and hung up my phone call.

My husband and I visited DCHH yesterday to get shots for a trip. Google gave us a little trouble finding the place, but we found it on the second try.
When we arrived at the office for travel vaccines, we we're greeted by a very personable and professional woman who walked us through what we needed and explained which shots were recommended, though none were required. She told us the cost (acceptable payment was cash or check). She gave us forms to fill out. When we were done with the forms, she invited us to have a seat until the nuse was ready for us.
Soon, we were called by the nurse. She began by explaining possible reactions to the shots and how to avoid soreness and stiffness after the shots. She was very proficient and professional.
We were in and out within an half hour. We didnt know what to expect from our visit, but we were extremely pleased with the service and the general tone. The folks couldn't have been easier to work with.
The office is supposed to be there to help you they don't answer the phone you left on hold for hours and I mean I've literally waited 4 hours for them to pick up and they never do I'm assuming the only thing you can do is to go into the office but if you don't have a way to the office you're just screwed and stuck living in the conditions that you're in. The service sucks I hate I left California and came to Dallas
They make you fill the same details each time you visit rather than just ask if there's a change in details. Then spend forever to enter details which hasn't changed but claim it's an electronic system. Then you spend all of the time just waiting for them to enter information and watching multiple persons walking up and down with no regard for your time. There's no sense of urgency here. I thinks it's wasteful to keep printing forms when there is no change in details. They need a serious upgrade here and from the looks of things they need less staff and more efficiency.
It is a lie that the staff here is rude and rude, I have come twice this week the 1st to take the tuberculosis test and the nurses who attended me were very kind to me, the 2nd today to collect the test result and the same Very friendly and courteous, the reception and medical staff, the department of vaccines equally friendly and courteous to me. And the best thing to be a government agency do not charge parking, the service is fast and friendly, nothing to do with the bad reviews discussed above about this place!

Went to TB skin test today. Cash staff super friendly. Person doing TB test - super rude and didn't bother to give a bandage, which I didn't realize until walking to my car and finding blood on my shirt. So unprofessional.

I called at 8:02 in the morning 17 min after they opened keep me on hold for 40min just to say they are book for the day.
Brought my son in for a flu shot and it's not crowded. So why have we been waiting for 35 minutes and counting. The techs giving the shots are what back this place up with long wait times. It has been at 20 minutes and counting since they called someone back as more people are starting to show up. Get faster immunization techs or at least allow teens 15 and over the option to go to the adult side to get a basic flu shot instead of forcing us to sit here forever listening to little kids running around chairs, throwing stuff and yelling. High schoolers should be able to get immunizations or at least flu shots in the adult clinic. That's called reviewing things to see where there can be improvement that better serves the public in a more timely and efficient manner.
I waited on the phone for 34 minutes and still never talked to a human being! They should change the name from Health and Human Services to You just suck and we could give a dam about you!
We waited about 3-4 hours and the people behind us went before us when we turned in our form first. Very unorganized just to get shots.

Charlotte has went over and beyond to show this community she is here to protect and serve all they needs here at Dallas county Health and Human services. Under Charlotte leadership she has great employees such as krystati and Tiffany whom are very well properly trained and have great personalities. This is one of the first health units that I have always been completely satisfied with. The staff here have never been rude with me. They are very informative and explain everything in great detail. I've not had much of a wait here either. It's clean and comfortable.
It s my first time being here and I honestly had no clue what documents I needed but I did bring my child immunization record the only thing I didn t have was his insurance card printed out but I had his Information, since I didn t have the insurance card my child couldn t get his vaccines I asked the African American lady upfront if there was anyway I could email it to her and she said no!! Worst place I ve been to! I really dislike when you re new to a place and no one is willing to help.
Good luck getting them to answer the phone.. Once they do that, they're rude, pushy.. And not any better when u get there.. They seem to forget this is their JOB. And don't forget to take some type of entertainment when u go, Cuz u will be there for a while.
I gave 4 stars only because it was a little long of a wait since it was just 2 of us in there, however, as nervous as i was being my first time, my nurse (Adam) made me feel so comfortable answering all of my millions of questions. Once i called back for my results they where very nice and quick.
The people who work in this place seem to them to bother to help and they are very groceries and more with the Hispanic people and they give you the phone to call and they never answer a lack of education to one as a contributor a bad experience

Helpful but the waiting time is very long, at the end of the waiting period is worth it because they do help a lot with your problems.
Their work on making recommendations for the Pandemic and their transparency with the data has been stellar.
