Daisy Cakes Review

First cake ordered on Nov 20 was never received. They never called or emailed me, which is why I think their Customer Service is very poor. I did email the Daisy Cakes Co (not Goldbelly) numerous times. They don t seem to care! I called them the following week to inquire about the missing cake, which was supposed to be a gift for family. She (the uncaring representative) offered to refund the shipping only, and send out another Chocolate Cake. Okay, things happen, I can understand that. But the SECOND cake sent out was the wrong cake: Carrot, not Chocolate! The recipients do not like Carrot Cake and one family member has nut allergies! I have sent numerous emails that were never responded to! And to this day, no one has called or emailed me about the wrong $60 cake. Poor Customer Service! No thank you!! There are numerous other bakeries that care and will respond back in a timely manner.

I thought 50 bucks was pretty high for a cake.... But then with shipping it was $80 bucks!!! Does that cake come on a gold platter??? NO WAY I will pay $80 bucks for a cake!!

I ordered Daisy Cake Red Velvet cake on 12/15/16 for my Birthday. I read the reviews on Daisy Cake website and they were all good. I did not think to read reviews outside their site, if I had, this very expensive cake would never been ordered. I am on a fixed income and money is very difficult to come by and I don't have it to waste. This cake came as promised on 12/22/16 and I let it thaw out completely before tasting and the cake is horrible. I would never have wasted $74.90 ($49.99 plus $24.95). I ended up throwing this cake in the trash and I would never purchase this cake or any other cake again. I'm not sure any of the reviews on their site are really true.

I was really hoping this would be the Red Velvet cake I'd been searching for that was delicious and authentic but I was so disappointed.

Please read reviews outside of Daisy Cake website so you can really get a true picture of their customers reviews. This review might not be updated to their site but I will update it to Yelp and Google, also.

It is 1/6/17 follow up to previous review. I changed my 1 star to a 3 star. Daisy cakes reached out to me and sent me another cake that was much decent.

I am glad they do care about their customers experience with their products.

I ordered a carrot cake and a red velvet. The carrot cake was AMAZING! My wife and I both agreed that it was the best we have ever had. Not too rich and just right! Can't wait to try the red velvet! Great packaging, fast shipping, and nice touch with the white chocolate daisy on top! Great job Daisy Cakes!!! I will definitely be a repeat customer.

Bought two cakes for Thanksgiving and the whole family thought it was bad. Very dry and little flavor. Not worth the money. Do not buy! Wish I had read more reviews before wasting my money. Could make better cakes from a box

We haven't been able to try the cake because we have never received it yet. Two weeks and still not here. VERY disappointed. I will rate on cake IF we ever receive it.

I would like to say that I truly cannot say how the cake tasted. By the time it reached our house it was thawed. This was NOT the fault of Daisy Cakes. The delivery was held up and was the cause of the thawing of the cake. I'm sure it would have been delicious.

I called for a personal order for my daughter s birthday. Cheryl C. was immediately available and helpful to take the call. The carrot cake was 5 star delicious. Thank you.

My goodness when I say that Florida key lime pound cake was the best pound cake I have ever tasted I really mean every word. I'm not an icing guy so pound cake is my favorite so I've had several in my life but nothing comes close to this one. The unique twist with the key lime icing in the middle gives it a unique twist but the cake itself is a five-star. Buttery sweet and moist and it's been in the freezer for a week since I ordered it. I challenge anyone to find a better pound cake! The only bad part is I have bragged about it now I must cut all my family members slices and it's only available once a year please make it available year-round and you will have a lifelong customer!

I ordered one for my grandmother for her birthday after watching this on SharkTank and she was absolutely astonished by the freshness and fulfilling taste!

Awful! Was extremely disappointed. Bought 8 cakes as Christmas gifts (2 for my own Christmas party) . Got every flavor available. My opinion is that there are better cakes at Publix. Next time I want fancy expensive cakes, I will just get it from local gourmet bakeries such as Chocolat, Eda's cakes or Nothing Bunt Cakes. First I read mixed reviews of 'awesome' versus 'horrible' and sent in a query to ilovedaisycakes about my concerns and never got a reply. Later I asked my friends to tell me about their gifts and only got a polite response of "it is rich and very sweet" which is their nice way of saying.. 'too sweet' and nothing else to comment on. My personal experience was that of a very dense sheet cake with very sweet frosting. Definitely not worth the 125 plus tax per set of cakes. I spent over $500 on these cakes and it will be my last. My friends and family laughed on how I believed it was anything good just because I saw it on shark tank. It has been a very expensive lesson. I should have been smarter since they only posted the positive reviews and without any dates of postings. Even after they messed up and brought the business back to South Carolina, the quality is not there. I am thoroughly embarrassed about what I have sent my friends this year. I could have spent that money on something way nicer. I really wanted to believe in this product but I get better moist flavorful cakes from Entemann's. Please don't waste your money and buy from your local bakeries. You really could make better cakes from a grocery store boxed cake mix.

As a repeat customer, I was excited to receive my newest order. I generally order for the holidays. My last two orders came in beautiful metal tins that made the presentation worthy of the price. This time my delivery came and the boxes looked a lot smaller. They were just plain white boxes with a sticker on The outside. I called the company to ask why are they not in the pretty tins anymore since that was part of the reason I ordered them as gifts. She told me that they stopped using a tins a while ago, and then they started using pretty gift boxes but they ran out of those too, so they just started shipping the cakes out in plain white boxes.
I explained that it was very disappointing not to know that these changes have been made. Instead of offering an apology as a repeat customer or offering some type of concession for not realizing they scaled back on their packaging but. It their pricing, she simply said well that s how they are being sent out now. I spent over $200 for three small cakes that are now being sent out in cheap white boxes instead of beautiful tins or gift boxes. The woman on the phone didn t really seem to care how I felt and just said OK bye. I believe she is one of the owners. This will be my last order.

I initially posted a not so favorable review of the chocolate cake which I purchased. The owner contacted me and offerred a replacement option. I ordered the coconut cake which was absolutely fantastic. Moist, robust coconut flavor, delicious cake all around. I would highly recommend.

We received our first Daisy Cakes in a jar today. OMG, these are the absolute best bought cakes EVER!! Saw where you had sent some individual cakes to Chicks on the Right and I was thoroughly intrigued. We bought the birthday cake and the Chocolate Fluff; they were both amazing!! Some family is coming for Thanksgiving and I can t wait to share. As the Chicks say, thank eweeeeer!!

Carrot Cake was outstanding, if they could get the shipping down i would get more.

I ordered 3 daisy cakes and only received 2. I have tried to call the phone number and it is out of order I have sent 3 emails with no response. I will to call my credit card company to dispute this charge.

Tried for 30 minutes to order some thing at the end it said we are refunding your money your orders been canceled. Very disappointing

Received Birthday daisy cake from hubby and I was super excited because I saw them on Shark Tank but the cake was very dry. I ate half a slice and guess I will try to give the rest away. disappointed so no birthday cake this year.

Great cakes. We keep one on hand for planned and unplanned events. Always a great treat or compliment to a meal. They store in freezer and thaw out and are ready to eat as though they were baked that day.

Got my cake delivered as expected and on time. Cake was sealed and frozen. I knew we had to thaw it for 6 hours, but gluttony got the better of me and I ended up carving a small slice. It tasted way too sweet and the cake was dry. I carved another piece after 4 hrs of thawing and same result. I was about to write a bad review, but I waited for another 4 hours and the cake looked completely different. It is very moist and decadent. The point was deducted for an overly sweet icing/frosting (chocolate should have some bitter notes) and the mild crumbling. What likely happens after freezing and unfreezing is the chemical structure isnt as stable as it was when the cake was fresh, and thus the layers of thr cake tend to collapse or break apart when cutting. I know daisy cake is doing its best on delivering it as fresh as possible, but nothing can beat a fresh store bought cake in regards to cake architectural consistency.

If you put love and have some super great recipes to make. . This could work. . We saved the name and 6 months later ordered a lemon cake for my birthday . . Everything was great! It is truly a piece of heaven. . I'm not on to go all out on sugar and if I'm gonna it's going to be a special occasion, use to be when I was a kid it was a dairy queen ice cream cakes. . NO MORE! DAISY CAKES every July 22 from here on out!!! Thanks you guys! Keep up the good work!

I was disappointed in Daisy Cakes customer service when I made a 'ship to' mistake on my order and tried to get it corrected. It took a week, but they called today and made it right! So a big thumbs up to Daisy Cakes (finally) ... I am grateful!!!

For Thanksgiving I ordered three items from Daisy Cakes. A chocolate peanut butter cake, an Apple Pie and a Chocolate caramel pie. I saw the original Shark Tank when Daisy cakes first appeared and I was curious but I stayed away due to the price of shipping.
With a 3 item order I though the shipping was reasonable so I went forward. The items arrived when they said they would and are in very attractive tins.
We brought them to our Thanksgiving dinner yesterday and after tasting them I have to say I will not be a repeat customer.
I have a simple rating for sweets, they are either calorie worthy, or they are not. If something brings flavor it is generally calorie worthy.
The Chocolate Peanut Butter cake is NOT calorie worthy at all. Seriously, if I didn't know what this was supposed to be I would not have been able to identify a peanut butter, or chocolate flavor at all. This has no flavor at all, it's so sad but perhaps the birds will eat it if I place it outside.
The chocolate caramel pie does have nice flavor but the pie doesn't defrost well and suffers from the massive difference in texture between the wet heavy filling and the super hard top outer crust layer. While this is a calorie worthy taste experience this is not an impressive looking pie.
I wish these people all the best but I won't be purchasing Daisy Cakes again.

This is THE best cake ever. Before I knew about my food allergies, I had several cakes and nothing compares to how amazing this one is. I ordered a vegan, gluten free carrot cake from this bakery via goldbelly.com. I am highly impressed and will be recommending them to anyone else I know in need of allergen friendly cake. Thank you for being passionate about what you do. You can tell this cake was made with love. My 70 year old mother agreed this is also the best cake she has ever had (mind you she has also had many through the years) Keep up the amazing work! If you ever come to Arizona, you have a hug waiting for you!

Absolutely disappointed in these people. They have blocked me on Facebook.. i habe no idea why. We have order over 100 cakes from them in the last 5 years..We are now ordering from some one else for all over our functions. These cakes are good but way too expensive for what you get. The last 2 orders which were paid for we never recieved. Couldnt get anyone on the phone or to return my calls. We even had to dispute this with our credit card company. I made a complaint on facebook and go blocked. Very unprofessional. DONT BUY FROM THEM

Was super excited to try a Daisy Cake. Had one shipped to California for my birthday. Ordered the yellow cake, chocolate frosting one. Arrived in a cute tin, but didn't taste all that good. Lacked flavor. Was disappointed, especially after paying the extremely high shipping cost.

I was supposed to have one here for our get together wkend & it never came, the email never got answered. Nothing nada zilch...! My friend ordered for us & was supposed to be here. Never again...! Since you got with Shark Tank the customer service has gone down as well as quality of product. Give friend Giselle back her money!

I have ordered about 10 cakes from Daisy Cakes over the past couple of years. The carrot cake is the best you will eat. Period. I took one to a party and two people called me to find out where I got the cake so they could order one for another function they were hosting.

November s cake was great December s cake was great except I didn t get the cute gingerbread men for the top. I still have them full stars. However I ordered the chocolate jar cakes for my daughter birthday friends. We had one only eat half of it. The rest are still on the counter. That was last month. They were so dry no one would eat them. Sad because it takes a very dry cake to make everyone say no thanks. I sent an email but never received and return email or call. I sent it again and then they sent random rate the cake emails. I complained again. I guess they don t care because I have never heard a pep from them. It too bad because I would have been a devoted customer. But have now moved on to a new company. Thanks for caring Daisy cakes you won t hear from me again.

Amazing!!! Ordered for thanksgiving and everyone loved the carrot cake. I could just eat the icing, very very filling. This was such a great cake I ordered a lemon cake for Christmas. So excited to receive and try it. The cakes are very very expensive but so totally worth it for major holidays/events. The best tasting cake I have ever had. Super moist and full of flavor. Like I said the icing is absolutely incredible.

This was one of the best cakes I have ever tried. The Lemon was great and plenty big enough for a large gathering. We cut in half and froze half the cake for another time. We wouldn't hesitate to order from them again.

How much does a guy/gal pay for flowers that get left at work or wilt in hours or days? $70-$125 easy... Delicious "semi-healthy" deserts, even the shark tank guys thought so. Mother's day? Valentines Day? Birthdays? Anniversaries? My wife and I both said we'd rather have a "delicious" cake from family members in other states.... This is now going to be OUR top pick for long-distance gifts. I would like to know WHICH cakes are picked as the best by customers...

Hint for the webmaster...
1) don't be shut down or non-available after a Shark Tank repeat of your product presentation. ;-(
2) make/allow a customer survey for each product.... your customer comments can make you a 100 times better! and tons of money. 1 bad experience and that customer lets 100's of people know about it...

Hello, I have ordered on several occasions from Daisy Cakes and it is the best 'gift' that I can send. I live in Canada and cannot send these wonderful cakes to any of my family and friends here. Fortunately, I have family in Orlando and they've been the happy recipients of Daisy Cakes. Thank you Daisy Cakes for the incredible cakes!

I ordered after seeing the shark tank episode years ago & the carrot cake was unbelievable. Over the years many changes have occurred & not in a good way. Just ordered 2 carrot cakes & they are much smaller with practically no raisins. The icing tastes more commercial. Definitely not worth the price. This will be my last order. Sad how many items that start out great deteriorate with the success.

I'm always up for a road trip especially when I'm looking for food. I saw this Bakery on Shark Tank so I felt compelled to find it the next time I visited my cousin in South Carolina. It's a small bakery out in the middle of next to nowhere, but they offer a very unique selection of cakes that you can have shipped to you or pick up there. The cakes are frozen and take a couple hours to thaw out to eat but still tastes very fresh and delicious once they do. We tried the lemon cake and it was pretty darn good.

Ordered the Carrot Cake for my friend's 58th birthday celebration dinner. Everyone loved it! The cake was super moist and flavorful. What we enjoyed most about this cake was that it wasn't too sweet. The icing was to die for and I normally hate icing because it's normally too sweet for me. This cake is a winner and you won't be disappointed. Oh also the cake was packaged so well for shipping no one could believe it was shipped from South Carolina. Great job Daisy Cakes!

Ordered a gluten free chocolate cake for my father in-law. We had two other cakes from the local bakery that went untouched because everyone at the party loved the chocolate cake from daisy s. If a bakery can make a good gluten free cake you know it s a good bakery

They messed up our orders.... we ordered one red velvet and one carrot cakes.. 2 carrots cakes came in... Way to ruin the birthday.. worst ,I called and ask about the mistake they did instead of apologize they try to blame us for it and take no responsibility.. bad customer service.. Bad cakes .. bad business... stay away!! Their cakes also tasted like freezers nothing special at all.. what a waste of money... waste of money period!! Can't believe we paid 150$ for 2 cakes that s not what we ordered and tasted like freezer. Urghh way to ruin the birthday... stay away! The cakes are going in the trash..

I have messaged this company time and time again but to no avail. I am sad to say that I have watched their episode on Shark Tank and was very intrigued in their product. The fact that their sheer incompetency has limited them from gaining my business. I will have you know that I am a very successful competitive Roblox player who is rolling in dough. In retribution, I expect a decent amount of lemon cakes shipped to 8900 Park Road, Charlotte NC as well as a fully written apology directly from the ceo. I bid you good day.
