Great service from Adam, Will and the team at DSG. We swapped our old Renault Zoe R240 for a new R110 and couldn't have been happier with how the process went. If only all car dealers were this good.

i bought a Renault wind from DSG a couple of weeks ago, the car is fantastic.
Adam, the chap that dealt with me was superb, no pushy sales talk, just honest good natured bartering! I got what I wanted at a great price and hopefully Adam didn't get the sack!!
I also got a 12 month comprehensive warranty and AA cover which I wasn't expecting!!
I can honestly say it was a pleasure dealing with Adam and DSG.
thanks guys.

I bought a 2011 Tiguan from this dealership over a month ago after testing a 2013 hyundai x35i felt a little cheap. Being a dealer I thought I'd have peace of mind, how wrong I was !!

After the third day of owning the car i noticed an intermittent issue with the car fluctuating in revs as well as an odd idling noise especially noticeable after the car had been on a short journey then started up again around 20 minutes later where the car would jerk as your set off...which is embarrasing to say the least. The first couple of times I thought this may be me getting used to it being a new car compared to my previous bmw 3 series or even that the car may need a good run but the problem still occurred weeks later.

I've returned the car twice now and they claim they can't recreate the problem (which I find hard to beleive) even after showing a mechanic a video of the issue with the car setting off. To even have the sales manager Will who had the cheek to suggest it was the way I was driving it (I'm 39 and have been driving 20+ years) as well as having 3 other people drive it and mention it, one of which is a retired mechanic.

I've still got the car now and it still has the same issue and I feel completely fobbed off by this dealer after spending nearly 12 grand of my hard earned money on the damn thing. Great friendly staff there (most of them) but if your thiking if buying a car from them just hope you never have an issue with it or they won't want to know.

IN RESPONSE TO DSG:

I have not been disingenuous at all. Ive been nothing but honest and patient with you. As for not recreating the issue i demonstrated the issue to your sales manager (although i admit it was only light in that instance) which he put down to me "adapting" to the car which is ridculous considering i'd been driving it an entire month by that point I had also shown the video to your mechanic where it did it on the way to yourselves where it was particularly bad and your mechanic aknowledged this.

The car has had an issue since i purchased it thats a fact not an opinion. Ive demonstrated the issue to 4 other people (one even being an owner of a 2009 tiguan) who all have managed to acknowledge it within a first couple of hours of driving the vehicle so forgive me for finding it hard to believe you couldnt recreate it.

It seems obvious you simply dont want to be bothered with it because its clearly not a big enough issue to illustrate to you're warranty company. If you really cared about good customer service you would have tested it more thoroughly in the ways id mentioned or at the very least hooked it upto a diagnostic machine. I stand by my original statement i do feel fobbed off by you because at the end of the day ive paid nearly 12k for a car that has an issue (despite wether you admit it or not) and im still having to this very day.

We have been customers of DSG Renault Morecambe since 1997, had 3 new cars and 2 pre-owned cars. Although we have had the option of other Renault dealers within the area and the choice of other manufacturers, the fact that we are happy to return to DSG and Renault should be a strong validation of both the DSG dealership at Morecambe, and the Renault brand. No problems with the staff at DSG and when we have had the odd hiccup with the cars, the problem has always been resolved to our satisfaction.

Your Guy Peter is the best. Had came to just test ride the car but within 2 hours finalized the deal and bought it too. And already decided for the next car as well.

He is really helpful, patient and knowing well about the business.

This is second car purchased from garage in last 3 years. Would highly recommend salesman Andy Waide for his support throughout the process. We live over 300 miles away in Pembrokeshire and purchased Tucson Nline over phone without seeing actual car, as Andy was so informative and accurate with all details. Garage even arranged delivery to us.

Thank you DSG Morecambe

Jeff was a consummate professional. I asked him to get me a car from another location so my wife could test drive it. He sorted it! She test drove it and purchased it. He did everything on TRUST, he asked for no money up front and lastly the car was ready for us to collect on the agreed time and day. Jeff Thank you very much!

Second car bought at DSG, fantastic service, superb knowledge about electric vehicles. They promptly replied to emails and calls, a completely different dealership/customer experience. They also deliver everywhere in UK so despite being 7 hours away from them everything was easily sorted via email/calls. I would definitely recommend DSG

Just bought my New Renault Zoe from DSG in Morecombe, a ZE50 GTline. Will, whom I've bought from before, sourced me the car quickly, but due to lockdown I had to wait until it could be delivered to Watford all the way from Morecombe. Great Price for the new one and also a really good trade in price for my 2yr old ZE40 , which incidentally I purchased from them in 2018.
The service from DSG is great and its a business that obviously values customers, new or repeat.
Only wish I wasn't 240 miles away so I could use them for my servicing as well...

I have known and dealt with Will Adams and the DSG Morecambe team for 3yrs, and bought my second Zoe from them, they are so knowledgeable, and gave me a fantastic trade in and deal on my new Q90 model, I've happily let them service my car, even though its a 340 mile round trip, thats how much I respect and trust them, they always treat my car as If it was their own car, and I'm looking forward to dealing with them again, when my car is due for a change next year

Excellent service delivered my car as expected and gave me plenty of updates. Due to a local dealer refusing to resolve some manufacturing problems DSG went the extra mile and swapped my car for a loan vehicle whilst the problems were resolved. Had really great service even though they were based 200 miles away. Really appreciate the service received and would highly recommend.

Purchased a used 2018 Renault Zoe from WIll Adams at DSG last month. Normally would never consider purchasing a 2nd hand vehicle without seeing it, however the reputation of DSG was enough to convince me to do just that. Great communication throughout, friendly delivery driver and two minor issues I had with the purchased sorted above expectations. Don't take heed of the recent malicious reviews.

EDIT: Updated with a more complete story of the ev...

EDIT: Updated with a more complete story of the events that have taken place:

Purchased a used renault zoe from them in March. It was advertised as doing 150 miles range. My house was 60 miles away, and the on entering my postcode into the satnav the car told me it had insufficient charge to complete the journey, despite being fully charged. I spoke to the salesperson before leaving and he advised us it was clearly wrong and we would make the trip home no problem. After 40 miles we pulled off the motorway desperately looking for services to charge at, as were about to run out of battery.

As per my consumer rights under being mis-sold a vehicle, I called DSG and immediately rejected the vehicle. They refused to accept my rejection and instead requested to inspect the vehicle for repair. I found this reasonable and agreed.

Due to COVID that appointment couldn't take place until July. At which point they inspected the vehicle and found there to be no fault. As there is no fault with the vehicle, my rejection of the car being mis-sold i.e. the range was not as described, still stands. They refuted this and demanded I collect the vehicle.

During this time, the car service became due. As part of the sale, the garage is supposed to complete this service for free. When I called to ask them if they had completed the service yet, they told me that, due to the ongoing dispute, they are refusing to complete the service. Regardless of what dispute is happening, this is a denial of something that was legitimately purchased, and is highly unprofessional and, frankly, spiteful.

On collecting the vehicle and entering my home postcode into the onboard sat nav once again, the car itself stated "you do not have sufficient charge to complete this journey". The person who was dealing with my complaint refused to meet me in person, citing the ongoing dispute. As such we had a 'conversation' through a middle-man. It was incredibly immature and childish. After much back and forth, the member of staff i was dealing with stated that they had agreed to a full refund. They asked for the spare key and log book, which i returned to them the next day. I was also given the opportunity to clear my personal possessions from the vehicle.

After chasing the refund for a week I then received a surprising email, stating that they had looked at the car and decided that the message I saw regarding the range was just a safety measure and that the car would complete the journey after all. As such, they were retracting their offer a refund, despite having already accepted the vehicle, spare key, log book and handbook for a refund.

TLDR:
1. The car was rejected on day 1 in line with my consumer rights to protect from mis-selling.
2. A refund was offered, agreed, and acted upon. They then changed their minds despite having full possession of the vehicle, and still have full possession to this day.

I have had no choice but to pursue this matter legally to compel DSG to give me the refund that is owed.

Purchase from them at your own peril.

ORIGINAL: Sold me an electric car that should do 100 miles and it barely does 40. Rejected the vehicle on day 1 yet denied the return. Currently heading to court to settle this. Avoid.

21/8/20 - Update. Since leaving this review the dealership has refused to provide the vehicle with the service that comes with the purchase of the car. I have acted reasonably and professionally at all times, yet this refusal from them to service the vehicle is nothing less than spiteful.

25/8/20 - Update. Since my last update the dealership offered a full refund. They then changed their minds and we are now once again heading to court.

I would in no way recommend this dealership or Renault at all. I bought a 2010 Renault Megane I-music on a 2 year finance deal, with the belief given to me by the salesman than there would be a difference in the finance arranged and the value of the car upon return to give me adequate deposit for another car.

In my opinion, I d stay away from buying any Renault as the depreciation is just far more than what they tell you when buying it.
