D'Arenberg winery is architecturally stunning. As you drive towards it, this marvelous cube is surrounded by beautiful sculptures and vine trees. With a $10 entry fee, you get an entry to a self-guided tour of the Alternate Realities Museum, which is extremely fun and unique compared to everything I have ever seen. The wine variety is fantastic, they have a great variety to taste. Oh before I forget do yourself a favour and check out the toilets, they are beautiful.

I love d Arenburg wines and the cube was cool to up close but the wine host was a complete cow and rude to us and the other group she was serving at the same time. Every other winery was so wonderful that this one was starkly disappointing.

A complete experience. From wine tasting at the top of the cube to a succulent delicious lunch at the D'Arry's Verandah finishing off with the Salvador Dali exhibition. The staff at each venue were welcoming and knowledgeable. A simply fantastic day and Birthday celebration for the 4 of us.

Stopped in for coffee and cake at D'arry's Verandah. Ordered at the bar then sat under the trees to enjoy the view. A waitress approached empty handed to inform us that our coffees were ready. I asked if we were not allowed to drink coffee on the grass. You certainly can, she responded, but we only do bar service so you will have to get them yourself and bring them out. We were so disappointed with this service that after finishing our coffees we didn't even return to the bar to advise the staff that they could pick up our empty cups. We did enjoy ogling Dali's droopy clock though.

Wow just wow. The building is an instant icon and so quirky and interesting. The place was packed and thankfully it didn t impact on our wine tasting. Our host was knowledgeable and as always the wines didn t disappoint. I like the concept of taking orders for wines upstairs but then picking them up at the barn in a separate building so you feel more relaxed about browsing more wines away from the tasting area. The balconies and access doors to the balconies and ground floor museum are quirky and make you feel like you are in wily Wonkas factory or part of Alice in wonderland. The entire experience is truly a feast for all your senses and a totally unique winery experience. And of course there is the dead arm Shiraz, which is wonderful too. Well done to all involved, it s visionary in every way.

The wines were good, the overall experience is overhyped. I would not spend $10 to enter just for the "museum" installation. Anyone who tells you that the toilets are amazing has no idea what they are talking about. Lacklustre experience, but an artist wet dream.

This place is amazing. We nearly didnt do it as we dont drink wine but its really worth the tenner each to go into the cube. Its Sooooo quirky & cool & different. My only criticism ( it didnt affect us at all, we are old)is that they actually charge 2yr olds ten dollars too. I understand them charging school age kids but was quite shocked that toddlers were charged the ten. Great place though.

Our experience was a short stop into creativity. Weird but homely, colorful but relaxing, inviting but edgy. Our group was overall enchanted. The exploring the cube does not take time, it's something however that you should do!

A touch disappointed having been here a few times - restaurant included - tacky out of place structure - lady opening the cellar door was rude - maybe back to basics if you can t grow with grace. Lots of other wineries to splurge on.

This place is insanely cool. $15 is a complete bargain for the experience which included entry to their mini art exhibition, plus a wine tasting on the top floor. We had the option of selecting which wines to taste and our Bartender Andrea was very friendly and knowledgeable. For tourists and locals this is a must do if you are in the area.

The D Arenberg Cube situated in the McLaren Vale wine area, is absolutely so different, it confronts your sensors on several levels. The architecture is different, yet compelling. Walking through inside is well worth the effort with a $10 admission fee, but this includes some excellent wines to sample/taste. We enjoyed a very nice dinner in their well appointed restaurant. (Reservations essential)The service was excellent, even though there were a large number of visitors viewing. A major tourist attraction for South Australia.

We paid $25 per adult for entry that includes wine tasting and gallery entry. The grounds are awesome with great views and lots of sculpture. Inside the cube there's a lot of artwork to view. The wine tasting is great. A great place to spend a couple of hours.

I reccommend going on a week day over a week end. Obviously very popular but having so many people wandering through the museum on the ground floor is somewhat claustrophobic. Still, it has beautiful views off the balconies of the surrounding area.

This is one of my wife and I favourite place to come and have a platter on a rare day off together. Staff are always wonderful and friendly. I understand Covid has made venues make a lot of changes, but to find out there is a $15 charge to eat at Polly's was quite disappointing. We weren't interested in seeing the art again, and wine tastings aren't our thing. So an extra $30 to sit and eat was a shock.
We will be back when things return to normal, we do love the place. But until than unfortunately we won't.

This place is...I want to say bizarre, but lets settle for interesting. Its most certainly a sensory experience, all the artwork, wacky ornaments, music...its something impossible to describe, you must experience it for yourself. Great place to take visitors (as its just so different) but not a place you would go back to every time you visit the McLaren Region. Chester has certainly invested some time and thought into this, even though it may not all make sense to you. The male toilets are a must see, the staircase is also amazing. On the top level it opens up to a circular tasting bar with balconies where you can bask in the magnificence of the south aussie sun and take in the views, right to the ocean. Wines are also very good, staff friendly and atmosphere vibrant.

We waited over an hour for the food and it turned out they lost the order. When asking when it comes the staff reacted irritated and said it s in the making.
Turned out it was not being prepared.
We left after almost 2 hours without being served.
We were not the only one it appeared, others experienced the same.
Never go here!

We did the degustation a few months ago. It is worth the $$$$ for a special occasion. Every single detail from how you are greeted, attended to, the way the food is presented, the comfortable seats, the view, the artwork, everything 5 stars. The food not only looks good, it tastes amazing. The cheese Box dessert was exceptional. This is the best dining experience in South Australia by a mile.

Very interesting and beautiful place! Bit crowded when i got there but its worth the 10 bucks to get in. Quite a lot of thought put into this - huge selection of wines... definitely recommending the premium wine flights.

We were party of 5 visited on Sept. 27, 2018 for lunch. My wife and I were visiting from Houston, Texas. I am satisfied with the eleven course meal, although small portions but indeed expected it was excellent. Professional and friendly staff. Do not miss the place if you are in SA. We were staying in Adelaide with family.

The service and atmosphere were excellent. We were there for the Dali exhibition, and we're also impressed, and very taken, with the Charles Billich exhibition. The team were friendly, accommodation, knowledgeable; Josh and Andy (Andie?) especially so. Happy to come back again after we've made a lunch reservation a month in advance hahaha

The view, the cube, the food and wine. Love it all! My kids did the degustation and enjoyed it thoroughly. The staff were amazing, helping them with their 3 month old. It was their wedding anniversary prezzie for each other.

A fantastic tour that really immerses you in the tasting. Our group did another two after this in the same region but if we hadn't done this one first the whole day would've been a damp squib. Great value (I assume, I wasn't in charge of booking..)
