One of our favourites for brunch on a Sunday morning. Great selection of sweet and savoury options. Atomic coffee is a step above your standard drip coffees elsewhere. I recommend any of the eggs benedicts and the cinnamon donuts.

For some reason, I always seem to end up here instead of planning to dine here and I don t know why; the service is good and the food is always great. I have been here for brunch, dinner, and dinner for restaurant week. The main draw for me is that they take reservations when not many restaurants in Royal Oak do. Plus they are conveniently close to the Center Street parking structure. They have a nice dinner menu that seems to change occasionally, good weeknight specials (Surf & Turf for 2 on Tuesday for $50, amongst others), and yummy cocktails. I recently went for brunch which I would highly recommend (the frittata avocado was fantastic). If you have not been here before, definitely check it out!

Upstairs bathrooms didn't have changing tables. Family style service for a private party was great.

We made 5:00 reservations and arrived a tad early. The hostess opened the doors and welcomed us in. I love the ambience here. It's dark and cozy. It has an upscale, neighborly vibe. The menu consists of the expected italian cuisine. The table bread was warm and tasty. The pasta entrees are generous portions. Some entrees were a little pricey but there are daily specials, deals and some reasonably priced happy hour cocktails. Service was competent but dinner moved at a leisurely pace. Overall, a very nice meal. I would go back again.
First time visit and pleasantly surprised! Prime rib was exceptional! The atmosphere reminded me of the throw back days of the "rat pack" era! Loved it!
Booked this spot for a private room for my grandmother s birthday and it was great. We had a really good time and the server was very attentive.

My server was so over the top! The guy was just amazing. The host was great as well. The roasted Brussel sprouts are amazing. I tried the Alfredo pasta and it was just too dry and too bland. I would come again and try something else. The service was great!
I had excellent parmesan chicken with a great D'Amato's salad and Tiramisu for dessert. I also go for Saturday and Sunday brunches--live music and bloody mary bar.

Fantastic service by Paul B. We ordered all courses at one time and he timed delivery of each perfectly. Attentive follow up also. Been here many times and food is consistently very good to excellent with great presentation always.
Had my birthday party in the D'Amato's Bar and the atmosphere was awesome! The bar was packed and we had apps and drinks which were delicious and the service was good, plus we had a cute bartender which helped ;). My girlfriends and I had a really great time celebrating my birthday,although the valet was a slow when it came to leaving. But D'amato's is a great spot in Royal Oak and I will be coming back soon!
They had a mother's day brunch this past Sunday but the bathrooms provided no changing table. They suggested that I change my daughter over the sink.
Really fun atmosphere for dinner or a night out. Food was good, nothing to taste bud blowing (I had the lemon chicken), but their portion size was very generous. I was charged for a $15 drink someone else in my party ordered and did not realize it till later on in the night so I wasn't thrilled about that.

Good food. It was Thursday and we were told about the prime rib for two $50 included soup or salad ,potatoes, veggies, dessert and a bottle of wine. That was a great deal and the beef was* Perfect!!! Atmosphere was nice and there was good music playing and the customers were just a mixture of united nations ( Love that). I will go back every month this will be my special budget treat to myself.
They have excellent outdoor seating behind the restaurant, great food and terrific service. We really enjoyed our meal.

First time here... We wanted to try their Thursday special 3 course 11oz. Prime Rib with a bottle of wine. The restaurant was busy and the atmosphere was very nice. Our waiter was spot on and the service was great. Our prime rib came out a little over cooked than ordered but it was quickly resolved. The prime rib was perfectly seasoned and the horseradish sauce was very good. For dessert we had four cinnamon sugar donuts with a mascarpone glaze. Overall the meal and experience were spectacular. Will be returning.
It is still a great brunch location. DIY bloody Mary s, nitro coffee, and if you like eggs Benedict you can t go wrong. Live jazz make for a great experience and it s easy to get to.

D'Amato's is a place I always go when I'm in Royal Oak, because the food is always excellent. I was in town for an early Sunday show recently, and loved their brunch menu and live jazz!
Been going to d'amato's for years the old owners in the new owners but currently they hit it out of the park the food is amazing the service is great and the atmosphere is always cool to be in the downtown Royal oak.my compliments to the chef the presentation and the taste of the food was top-notch not your blend Mass produce food you get in some restaurants. our waiter was Jordan and the owner Tony came over to make sure everything was done right.

Nice father's day brunch. Good food, great atmosphere and 3 piece jazz band excellent. Bit of a long wait for food but mgnt and waitress gave us a heads up and took care of us.

Had reservations for a party. Took an hour to get first round of drinks. Server openly told us she waited 30 minutes after we ordered to even put our order in. She only had one other table. Food took another 90 minutes. Drinks were so hard to get that we literally had to go up to the bar to get then separately. This is also the first time in my life I've ever sent a meal back for being wrong.
Staff and atmosphere was good but food was cold and not much flavor. We had the rainbow trout it was dry.

Very Nice! My food was delicious! I ordered the Cavatappi pasta Dish! I would definitely recommend that dish! I added shrimp, mushroom, and sun dried tomatoes! My dish was complete!! The basket of bread was also delish! My wine was very good..i tried the Boatman Red Blend! My service from my waitress was just ok, the bust boy and other waitress who brought our food to the table was more helpful! Overall i loved the ambiance and i will return.
I like this place! They offer first-cleass meals, their menu is rich, The cook in that spot is very trained, I like a lot trying all their dishes. The food is consistently good, the attitude towards the guests is very good too. I go often to this restaurant and I was never disappointed. I recommend it to all my friends.

We celebrated my daughter s in law birthday at D Amato s. We had a private room which was pretty cool. Our waiter was awesome...even though some of the guest food came to the table on the colder side (not hot). I ordered the shrimp fettuccini it was delish!!! Everyone in our party, which there were 20 of us all enjoyed the food. I would definitely go back. The only reason is does not get a 5 from me is the parking was crazy. We couldn t find a spot we drove around and around , which really has nothing to do with the food. That was by far the worst part of the evening PARKING!

Came here for a birthday treat with my dad. Decided to have the Tuesday $50 surf & turf for two and we both really enjoyed it. 3 courses, Soup or salad, lobster, steak filet, choice of potato or pasta followed by desert to split. The waiter was very personable and when we told him the reason for our visit he stuck 2 candles in out desert. It was a nice day when we went and the windows were open. The only down side is the number of buses going by and being across from the train track. Brunch looks great, I want to go back & try!
Friendly staff, Good cocktails, I like the red sauces for the spaghetti; the Bolognese was fantastic and marinara as well.
For whatever reason our server Hayley hated me. She straight up ignored me when we got our first round. I left her a 20$ tip and when we moved tables she still ignored me. Not sure why. Perhaps my face offended her. I tried to order another drink but ended up just going to the bar where people were friendly. She straight up took everyone's order but mine.
Late night food was good. Great services. Staff were nice. A fresh and healthy food.

We stopped in for brunch and loved it! Mimosas were wonderful and the menu selection was pretty varied with many options that caught my eye. Service was wonderful and prompt. Will have to return to check out some other options for sure
